You sat across from the king in his solar alone your only company a roaring fire in the corner as it illuminated the room and allowing you to see just how tired he was. Torren Stark looked ragged his shoulders haunched as he looked down at a cup of dawi ale. While you yourself sat across from him in your armor your ax and shield at the edge of the room as you held a tankard of ale your blood boiling for action.
His eyes drifted to a stack of messages that would be sent out to the houses who had lost kin. Though you could also see relief in them for an unknown reason as he seemed to contemplate something. His voice held a note of exhaustion as he spoke "I am sorry to disturb you at this hour Thorin, I more than others know how hard your people have worked to protect and sacrificed much for my land's yet I have been unable to truly show my gratitude. Yet it seems in this tragedy I have been given a chance to repay some of the debt." He took a sip of the ale as he seemed to compose himself. "Lord Glover hold's some animosity for what you did to his daughter but he respects you enough for what happened. Tell me how fair's your son since you last saw him?" He asked while he focused on you.
You found yourself blinking at the question. "Last I heard he is growing well and in good health and that he may even start to practice his weapon skill's in the yard, I have heard from his... Uncle that he is clever for a child if prone to anger." You said confusedly wondering where this line of inquiry was heading.
Torren seemed pleased at the information as he nodded to something. "I see that is good, you see sadly during the evening assault on the camp many Lord's and heirs perished in the fires trying to organize the men. Some houses were lucky enough to avoid it others's not so much, this, of course, has caused a succession crisis among houses as they scramble for a second cousin to take hold of their land's among them is the Bolten lands. Sadly I have had my eye on the Boltens for some time for reasons I will not disclose here while sadly all men born of their line are dead, the last of Roberd Boltens line now rests on the shoulders of a girl only nine namedays old." He said to you as he pulled out a letter yet to receive its seal. "This is meant for Lord Glovers lady wife informing her that she is to ensure that your son is taught what he will need to rule the Bolten land's. I expect great things from him and may this action tie our two peoples closer together."
You nodded your head as you read over the letter well aware of what it meant for both your son's future and your people. "Thank you Thorin I am sure my son will appreciate this but no thanks were needed, an oath was made and my people will honor it." You said firmly but you did not protest the gift.
He seemed to want to shake his head before he let it go well aware of your people's stubbornness before he put his ale down and sat up well staring at you seriously. "I will leave the topic for now but we have a problem, winter is at most a year and a bit from now. We can not march on the south without the risk of been caught out in the storms while the same can be said for the south. They will be traped far below the neck or risk freezing to death trying to assault this fortress, especially now that it has seen repair and improvement by your people." He sighed before he pulled out a report and handed it to you. "I must send many of the gathered host homewards if we are to hold the Moat with any strength for the winter, maybe some twelve thousand souls in total can be fed for ten year's on the food that has been sent here. Which will also be safe in the halls that your people built beneath these walls, so I ask you what will your people do?" He asked while you read over the report detailing the supplies of the fortress as well as that of the expected length of the winter been seven year's something that would tax even your people with the facilities you had available.
[]To WAR!: You will march the combined Throng of nearly 7000 Dawi south and raze the umgi lands for Vengeance.(Many Dawi be coming) (will see the war turns continuing) (You go Alone with no umgi support)
[] Hold the Moat: Winter is here and the umgi have attacked before may be holding in the Moat for the years to come will be for the best. (3 Actions for garrison tasks)
[]To Hold and home: With Winter coming you find the call for home great and while your blood boils for blood and vengeance. You would rather rest and see to it that your home is secure and expanded upon in the winter years.
(Optional) (Only Take if hold and home is selected or Hold the Moat)
The Garrison and their tasks:
[]Guard The entrance of the North: Winter may be here but some umgi can be very tenacious in their goals. So having some of the Throng stay in Moat Calin to protect it would ensure it remains in your hands. (1000 Dawi left to protect the Moat.) (400 Quarralers, 200 Rangers, 300 Warriors, 100 Miners) (Includes 3 Runesmiths) (Gives 2 actions to the Throng and Rangers)
[]Leave only a small Guard: The Dawi are not needed in great number to hold the fortress a few will do. (400 Dawi left to protect the Moat.) (200 Quarralers, 100 Rangers, 75 Warriors, 25 Miners) (Gives 1 action to the Throng and Rangers)
What are the Throngs tasks: (Actions depend on Garrison)

[] Restore and Improve Moat Calins courtyard defenses
[] Turn the Umgi stationed in the Moat into a dangerous fighting force

You ended up talking with him at great length both discussing what was to come and plans for the winter ahead knowing that it would be hard to communicate effectively. Tough decisions were made and orders given as you felt it was the right choice and at least vengeance would be had one way or the other.
Though the king did not let you go freely as he had finally managed to get you to accept a reward for assisting his kingdom so much. Even though you tried to say no to it but he promised it as a gift eventually forcing you to accept it. At least it would help the hold you thought.
[]Umgi Miners to help excavate the hold for a time+2 free Stewardship option to hold and mining related chooices) (5 Turns Long obligation)
[] Gold to fill your Coffers (15 000 Gold given to you)
[] Food and hunters as well as Wood workers and builders : (+2 years worth of food and hunters to bring in a years worth of food to fill your food stocks while umgi workers will assist with surface construction.) (2 years of food, +1 Food per turn for 5 turns, 1 Free Stewardship to surface actions for 5 turns)
Though as you made to leave an umgi messenger burst into the room panting as he looked around before his eyes set on the King. "My lord word from Winterfell your family has been taken."

You made your way up the tower so that you could find a place to think in peace about everything that had happened. You passed Umgi who bowed to you all of whom stood around lit brazers as they stood guard while you spotted dawi hard at work in the light snow as they improved upon the damage done to the castle in the last attack. While in the courtyard, you watched as a number of rangers finally departed for your hold with troll's tightly secured within their chains atop cart's delimbed for the safety of any that came to pass them.
When you reached the top of the tower you got a good view of the neck as the umgi called it as its water's looked to be freezing over while a light snow covered the causeway. Your only company a group of dawi quarralers who saluted you before focusing on their duties.

Interlude: The Fall of the black Dread
You could not help but think of how long this muster had taken, nearly A year and a half had passed since you marched from your hold and now here you stood a friend dead and many more umgi nothing but food for the Crow's.
Though it seemed everything you had planed meant little now as the Umgi dragon rider had secured a trade for his wife and vassal's but no more as the King could not risk insurrection. Still not all things were dark you thaught in grim satisfaction as you turned your head to look at what now hung above the gate.
The umgi was foolish for killing your kin and now the grudge had been settled as you looked at the wyrm's head its body used for regents. Though you did feel bad for the pain you caused Rhaenys but her brother gave the command to the wyrm and it was settled. This was the only mercy you would give her family as you did not wish for a quarrel that the dawi could not truly win not yet that is. But the Grudge had been struck out just like you had said your people would and that was how it would always be.
Though as you watched the umgi lords and Visenya walk away from the fortress while passing the kings family you could only hope that the queen could end this war for good, As you were not sure you had the heart to kill a friend. Though you would do it if duty called for it.
