The confession they want is wrong as expected - Season 2 (Kaguya-sama/Oregairu)

Were this was the past momo, it would absolutely be on the table. Hence her sexual harassment (if not outright assault) on him during the Spring vacation arc.
But she's aware that should she pull this off, she'll just end up with an actual toy, lifeless husk of a human being, a Ryuju's whore. She could win the body, but at the cost of his mind.
Sorry if that got a bit dark, but I've been playing Coffin of Andy and Leyley and can't help but reminded of that when I refresh my memories on past chapters.

It's cute that Momo's becoming more feminine and understanding concept like empathy and remorse, but ultimately those are just trappings of humanity she puts up to make Hachiman likes her. Her core is still as twisted as anyone groomed to be the head of a large criminal organization would be, and I was kinda hoping she'd say or imply something fucked up off-handedly just so the rest of the cast understood that they shouldn't go about poking this particular hornet's nest.

But I guess it's nice to think that she shows that level of restraint because she cares about people Hachiman cares about, even if she doesn't particularly likes them being her romantic rival.

Exactly

Not to mention that, even putting aside the mafia hijinks, people just change, and grew numb.

The rate of cheating quadrupled from high school to college, because people ceased to care about the value of status and sanctity of relationship. Just to show how adulthood isn't always positive, especially if the environment is exceedingly negative. It is only going to get worse, if you start with bad cards and unable to trade them out.

But that is irrelevant, because this is a high school story and should be treated as such.

Ah, I love how even despite Chika being just as cunning, devious, and manipulative as any of her peers on the StuCo, she still remains one of the most wholesome young ladies at Suchiin. The way she was so utterly giddy and happy at seeing brand new sides of her friend and crush that I don't recall even Momo being privy to is heartwarming on a cold day.

Let's be honest, those poor glasses might have survived Fujiwara's thrown hands, but they wouldn't last five minutes with the Ryuju heiress' roughhousing.

On a related note, with the amount of fan service Chika was showered in this chapter, I'd imagine the photo-album on her phone labeled "Hikki-san" just doubled in size. An album Daichi might be particularly interested in should he find it during his endless snooping.

I don't know why but I can't stop thinking about a scene where Momo is trying to do something romantic and the best thing that comes to her mind is matching tattoos. Not just any tattoos but full yakuza style paintings on their backs.

Momo: I will have a dragon and you will have a carp.

Hachiman: Did you play Yakuza recently? And do you expect me turn evil at some point or something?

Momo: Yes and No, I just think it would be cool. Plus Kiryu and Nishiki were the best couple in video game history, so we are.

Hachiman: They were not a couple, they were brothers.

Momo: They were in my headcanon. Don't be a pussy just let's go already!

People seems to think Chika as force of chaos, forgetting the reason why was her being excluded by everyone in the council. Consider how she was isolated from Kaguya-Miyuki and Ishigami-Iino, not hard to see it.

Canon Chika was so lonely that she would seek solace from anyone, including Hayasaka.

Hachiman is the perfect combo of a boyfriend and a boy friend. Someone who knows her, appealing to her, and accepted her for what she is. Naturally, she's way calmer because she wanted to look good in front of him.

Even her pranks on him was well calculated to get his attention.

Women. ☕

Canon Chika isn't Miko-level masochist but she likes being put under pressure, and while she dream of a shining gentleman just like most girls, her true lust lies in intimidating and dominating presence of a bad boy.

Guess who fit that bill.

Adding upon that, Chika's literally detailed her taste in boys canonically point by point.

Hachiman ticks almost if not all of those boxes. He's totally her type, small wonder she is so hungry for his attention and approval and has caught feelings for the guy.

Hachiman is more of a cat person and canon Hachiman is not that of a hard worker unless you give him some incentives.

The rest checks out though.

Fanfic Hachiman isn't either. He just have a lot of motives and reason to work hard.:V

Also the first part made it hillarious because Chika herself have doglike personality. So it is like a dog being excited about a cat friend.

No one is perfect. Nothing like being humbled with a slipper in front of your peers a few dozen times to get to realise your not going to find the perfect guy and need to settle for the really good one that's available to you.

I think that's what is called a "discipline kink".

Which… I mean if anyone out of the StuCo has some "cultured" tastes, shall we say… it'd be Fujiwara.

By the way both of them dislike tomatoes

...I have never seen so much coincidence, Jesus Christ.

Fuck, I just read up to date and I have to say you write the most fun characters. Now, I wish we had a VN-style multiple routes ending so that I could see how Hachiman might be dating the various characters. Seeing those emotionally tortured characters from Oregairu living their best life in this fic is such a pleasure.

Tobe is extroverted, so that's off Chika's list

Might be Hayama since his extrovert persona is just a front, but his non-conflict personality wouldn't allow him to really call out Chika and just basically get steamrolled by her like how Haruno does it in canon

There is a man who did, in fact, checked all the boxes...
Hayama? That is the only one I could think of.

Most likely Shijo Mikado. Everyone in Kaguya communities made this conclusion. Dude is literally just Shirogane but actually genius.

It's just that Aka being hacka, decided "she's everyone's idol" (Should not be shipped) lol

I don't usually insult other authors, but in this case Aka clearly has no fucking idea what to do with Chika. So he made her a mascot.
Because her increasing irrelevancy yet growing popularity means he couldn't write her off altogether, but he is unwilling to give her any semblance of plot and character development.

Ah, I remember when baby Zero was writing this over on SB in the first arc and was seemingly gobsmacked at why people were already shipping the two despite not hinting at any romance between them yet.

The chemistry was there from the very start, my dear author! And you can bet like a pig to a truffle the shippers can sniff it out!

MOTHERFUCKERRRRRRR

I WAS SO FOCUSED WITH EXAM ARC TWO YEARS AGO THAT I FORGOT TO WRITE GOLDEN WEEK ARC AAAAA

(In fairness, Akasaka forgot either. The manga more or less skipped Golden Week in its entirely)

In fairness, it is too easy to make it yet another spinoff. But it was not necessary to do that.

The timeline would take place between 23 and 24, since golden week would always take place before mid-term.

I'll just incorporate it into future arc, to explain a few things.
