[X] Wrath, Fifth Lord of the Abyss
(Warning: Extreme Fluctuations in Fate associated with target)
She struck when velvet darkness began to cloak the city. Of course she did.
Night was her ally and she did not wish to be seen except by those who would feel her wrath. Her target was no challenge to find. He was brash and foolish, too confident in the traps she danced past as he broadcast his presence from within his private manor near the center of the city. Her previous foe had been foul, but foul in a mindless way... This one, this Wrath, he knew the depths of his own depravity. He sought to bring evil into the world intentionally, and thereby corrupt
creation. She would not allow it. She would not let such a blight grow any longer.
The feeling of his power came from the basement. Irritated, she stood before the final door. Trapped, of course, like all the rest; but unlike them this was the only way in. For the sake of her task, she would walk into any danger. She breathed, and
became as her hand touched the knob. Hellfire seared her, as she knew it would, but she could feel only
joy as she burnt. Suffering for the sake of others- such a thing could never do anything but lift her soul on
beautiful wings. The door opened, and she saw Wrath and the room he stood in. It was a vast place, of smooth stone and many pillars, holding up the weight of the manor above them. Full of shadows. She burned them away with
light.
There, in the middle of the room stood the demon, not hiding his true self. Red skin, scales, wicked black horns, a muscular form but not overly so. A suit. Were she one to care about such things, she would perhaps roll her eyes at the cliche. Instead, she felt only contempt for such a creature. It smiled, and spoke as it twirled a black cane with it's one remaining hand.
"So I see it's me you've chosen to kill next." His face was guileless and his words careless, as if he were only discussing the weather.
She did not reply. Merely extended an arm to her side and summoned her
divine armor. It appeared to be pure white light, but in truth it was only itself. It covered everything but her face and her stern expression. She had no weapon or shield. She needed neither. The demon raised an eyebrow.
"No banter? How terribly dull. This will be no fun at all." He sighed and shrugged his shoulders as if he were totally unconcerned, the motion made only slightly unnatural by his missing arm.
She walked forward, slowly but with purpose. Wrath was about fifty yards away, but the time it would take to get there at her pace was of no concern to her. She was very patient. Light flowed from the back of her shoulders like a long cape of flickering flame.
Wrath raised an eyebrow and leaned forward on his cane in an exaggerated show of patience.
"Yes yes, you are
terribly intimidating. Could we perhaps get on with this?"
She angled her walk slightly, taking herself in the beginning of a slight orbit around the demon, getting out of the direct obvious path to him from the door.
Wrath made a motion with his hand as if telling her to hurry it up, and so it continued until she finally stood about five feet from him. He stood at ease, unconcerned, smiling at her as she stood before him.
"Well? Are yo-" She struck.
Her open palm extended, grasping towards him. What happened next, she did not foresee. The back of her neck just tingled, as if lightning were going to somehow strike her here beneath the earth and she moved, trusting her instincts even as she could make no sense of them. Even still, her face stung as a blade fell along it's side, going right through where the base of her skull had been, cratering the ground even as she leaped back.
"Oh dear, you appear to have missed." Wrath's voice still held nothing but amusement as he absently commented to the figure in deep green and finely worked leather now standing beside him holding a massive lance. The figure gave no response save to straighten and bring her lance up in an aggressive stance.
The World Anew knew her. Astrea. The one that had escaped her notice. The erstwhile council member just looked at her with dead eyes as
the World Anew straightened up from her crouch.
She...
[] Fled in the face of unexpected force.
[] Pressed onward.

[X] Ruby
[X] Lusca
It had been a natural choice to team up with Ruby and Lusca for the enchanting project. You were friends with both of them, and while the dimensional science aspect of the project would mostly end up falling on you, Ruby's ability to get things like high quality precious metals and gems would definitely be valuable, and while Lusca had only a passable skill with dimensional science, she had made it known that she possessed a strong understanding of the workings and different regions of the elemental plane of water. That, along with some brainstorming meant that you had come up with a few good ideas for what the end result of the project should look like.
[] A canteen of endless water. Not exactly inspired, but with help from Lusca to aim your elemental planar portal at a very low pressure area of the elemental plane of water and materials provided by Ruby, this would be relatively easy to make.
[] A wand that called forth water elementals to obey the user. It would be Lusca casting this particular spell, as you don't have much experience with elementals. Much more impressive than a canteen of endless water, but the wand requires very little in the way of dimensional science to function.
[] A 'perpetual motion machine'. Similar in some ways to the canteen of endless water in that it uses a lower pressure area of the elemental plane, but more complicated in that one portal opens, water falls through it to spin a wheel, and then the water exits through a portal to nowhere. Not actually useful for anything, but the kind of weird niche idea you think would appeal to Dishevel when he judges the projects.
[] Write-in. (Subject to GM approval)
Whatever you decide on, you'll have a couple weeks to work on it before it comes due.

You might be wondering why I'm giving you guys so much control over The World Anew. Essentially, it's because they're the catalyst for most of the visible things that are going to be happening in the story for a while. I want you all to feel invested in that and not just see it as GM fiat.
