The Biggest Clusterfuck That Ever Was [KanColle X World of Warships] (Sorta kinda maybe)

Might have been better to go with PoW: Whyyyy does she look so nice.

Also does anyone mind if I use some of the premise of this for my SI? I've been working on one for KC for a month or two but haven't gotten around to it due to procrastination and writers block.

I just hope your in story avatars don't shoot at me, it would seem like I would not really know any of you.

Edit: aand I don't know any ship girls so this is going to be weird at first.

one last question can we modify the bridge or does that still have to remain close to the original

A.N: Sheesh why are you people all using Tenryuu as the resident bloodthirsty lemming? Sammy seems a better fit for that.
There's no 'suicidal lemming' portrayal on my part. In my sections, Tenryū was still trying to sort out 'WTF is this?' when she was spotted and taken under long-range shell-fire by a flotilla of eight not-so-bright Abyssal Sampsons (scouting ahead of the carrier and its heavier escorts). Not being insane, she promptly deployed 'NOPE.jpg', legged it as fast as she could, and started calling out for help at maximum volume. But, her pride and carefully-cultivated persona of bravado meant she couldn't bear to sound 'weak' over the radio, so she framed her cries for help as 'I've cornered a whole bunch of destroyers, but I'm willing to share the kills if anyone else wants to join the fun'.

And suddenly, Jimbo
Calm.

Darkness.

Peace.

These were the things I knew. The things I somehow wound up experiencing. Was I dead? I didn't remember much. Just seeing some countdown timer before everything went to black. Yet I soon had my answer. Feeling returned to me as I noticed that I was lying on a hard metal floor. A few memories came back. Vague ones of people whom I assumed to be family and friends.

My eyes slowly fluttered open, but snapped shut after blinding light seeped through. I turned myself over and opened them once more. I didn't remember there being a HUD. At least the light wasn't *as* blinding. I stood up and took a look around. I was on a ship's bridge. Specifically, that of a Pensacola-class cruiser. I somehow instinctually knew. Forward and to starboard sat a Kongō-class battleship, along with a number of low-lying buildings. This was apparently a military base. To port were a number of cranes and drydocks, as well as a Yorktown-class aircraft carrier and the slowly-setting sun. I could make out a few more ships, but I'd need to get closer to ID them.

However, the whole thing was… disconcerting, to say the least. There were no people. No seagulls squaking above. Just the pretty scenery and the sound of waves lapping against the hull. I was thoroughly disturbed. However, I needed to get my bearings a little better, and dry land would help. I made my way off the ship. Convienently, there was a staircase leading up to my boat.

My first priority was weapons. The armory happened to be on my side of the dock. I didn't know how I was aware of that. I stepped inside, the doors never even locked. It wasn't long before I found the guns and ammo. WWII-era, apparently. I grabbed a BAR and an M1911, plus a vest, knife, and spare ammo. I stepped into the bathroom on my way out, taking a look in the mirror. I was wearing an admiral's uniform below the flak vest, with ribbons and badges for a number of campaigns decorating it. This was fucking strange. And I looked ridiculous

I made my way out of the armory, rifle in hand, and found a motorboat that could take me to the carrier or the battleship. I decided to board the latter, suspecting someone to be aboard. About two minutes later, I climbed up the ramp and made my way to the bridge of the Japanese-built battleship, sweeping the corridors while in transit. A few minutes and no encounters later, I found myself at the door leading to the bridge itself. I slowly opened the damn thing, and content with not getting shot at or ambushed by monsters of some sort, stepped in, only to find a young woman lying face-down on the floor.

She was a brunette, her hair styled into two elegant buns and wearing a white dress of some sort. I kneeled down beside her and checked her pulse. She had one, thank God. I placed a hand on her shoulder and started shaking it, hoping to rouse her.

"Hey. Hey, wake up." I said. All I got was a faint groan in response. She was concious at least.

"Ugh… tei… toku…" She groaned. It was more of a tired groan than a pained one. I sat the BAR by the door as she awakened. "Where… where am I?" She asked.

"Dunno." I replied. "I'm just as confused as you are."

The girl slowly pushed herself up and looked right at me. She had delicate Asian features and curious sapphire blue eyes. She was attractive, needless to say.

"Who are you?"

"My name…" I paused as I remembered a little more. "My name is James. Dont't know about the last name. I've suffered amnesia or something."

"Relax! Kongou-chan can help you remember!" She shouted. She seemed to become rather cheerful in less than ten seconds.

"Yeah, I don't think it works that way."

"Do you have to be so PESSIMISTIC?"

"Someone has to balance out your sudden cheerfulness." I deadpanned. "Do you not give a damn that we're in unfamiliar territory and no way to get back home?"

"Don't worry! Be HAPPY! We'll get back home in notime. And it's so interesting to be able to explore myself!"

"That's lewd." I said. I could see Kongou's face go beet red once she realized her accidental innuendo.

"I-I-I m-mean n-not like that!"

"Anyway, changing subject. There's a few more ships on the other side of that island." I said, pointing towards the carrier. I managed to identify the other ships as Fletcher-class destroyers. The quintessential 'tin can'. "We're going to scout those out and see if anyone's aboard. That sound good?"

"I'm sure there are others who need our help! You can count on me, Admiral! And if anyone dares to threaten us, I'll give them a taste of BURNING JUSTICE!"

I picked up the rifle and let Kongou head out first. "After you." I said.

"You're such a GENTLEMAN!" Kongou replied happily.

We made our way to the carrier and it's escorts. I needed to give a name to my ship, and quietly settled on USS Barberton.

That actually makes a lot of sense.

I feel lazy to write my snippet. I'll write in about a day.

I lowered my headset down to the helm station, turning back toward the islands. My recon flight had reported in stating that multiple vessels were docked and un-moving though undamaged. A bunch of ships in the same place clustered around and island outpost...it was quite the bit confusing, to say the least, and couldn't quite be a coincidence given the circumstances. From the report the flight had given there was a Battleship, Cruiser, Carrier, and a group of Destroyers at dock there. I weighed my options, which were staying out here and getting shot at or going to this base and possibly getting some answers to my predicament.

Didn't take me very long to figure out my answer.

And then, I remembered something.

I grabbed my headset and slid it back over my ears, might as well warn them too, eh?

"Royalist, this is HMS Sanctum; recon flights report a naval instillation centered around the local island chain. Advise you head there immediately, over." I said, pulling the headset back off and changing my course to this supposed base. I better damn well get to the bottom of this here, or I was going to lose my fucking mind. This shit right here is one of the main reasons I liked Suzuya, she knew precisely when to crack a joke and now was perfect for one of those epic cracks.

Now, to see what those ships were doing there.....I hoped they were friendly...

Probably.

Maybe.

sorry for the delay. my tank is fight too

Erika and I made our way to the H44-class super battleship moored along side Ishikari. She slowly bobbed in the waves, rising upwards then downwards, like a sleeping beauty resting before the storm. Erika managed to get the two of us over, constructing a bridge out of thin air. We landed on the deck with a slight creak of the wood paneling.

"Wow," Erika whistled. "She looks even more impressive in person."

"You're telling me," I say back, taking in the surroundings. She was massive. Everything about the KM Bismarck was massive. From the guns, to the turrets, to the bridge -- heck, even the AA mounts were huge. The Germans sure were compensating for something in the last months of World War Two.

"I wonder how she got here though..." she ran her slender fingers over the cool metal of a gun barrel. "You know as well as I do that both our ships are blueprint designs. So who brought them here?"

"Whoever decided to base this world off World of Warships."

"But I don't understand why though." She dug her hands into her coat's pockets, then turned around and leaned on the turret's armour. "It just doesn't make any sense at all. Why warships from World of Warships? Why us? As far as I can tell, I don't see anyone on my RADAR, human or ship girl. It's just us two."

"What about Abyssals?" I pointed out. "Couldn't they do something like that? Warp reality, create a reality marble, a dream bubble, a nexus point, something?"

Erika shook her head helplessly. "I don't know, Al. I'd like to think that they couldn't..." the blonde rubbed her eyes, letting out a frustrated sigh. "But honestly, stuff like that?" She shrugged, "That's Dakota's department, not mine." She stared at the sky, then back at the ship. "If it was the Abyssals, I'd doubt they would have taken the effort to create a replica of a blueprint ship. Not to mention two of them."

"Or ones that match up exactly with our ships in the game," I agreed. "So we're looking at an unknown force, dealing with unknown powers, and we may or may not be alone." I folded my arms. "I really wish that all of our problems could be solved with excessive force and skillful computer hacking."

--

After our short interlude on the bow of the ship, we continued our way up the citadel of the ship, heading for the bridge of the warship. After meeting the men and women who served on my vessel, I fully expected to be treated to the same experience on Erika's ship. Instead, we found only one man.

One very famous German man. Otto von Bismarck was waiting for us on the bridge, his arms crossed behind him, looking out towards the shimmering blue see.

"I see that you have arrived," he said by way of greeting. He had a stern looking face, a permanent scowl on his mouth. He looked every bit like the imposing Prussian man that became the first Chancellor of Germany, the man who unified the Germanic states into one single country. He was the father of the German Republic, and he carried with him the experience, power, and presence that an accomplished statesman like him seemed to possess at all times.

A presence that evaporated when he laid his eyes on Erika. "Ah," he said, instantly dropping his 'tough German chancellor' façade. "How are you, little Erika?"

"F-Father...?" she whispered.

"Daughter," he replied, sweeping the shorter girl into a tight hug. The two were laughing -- laughing and crying, father and daughter reunited after centuries of separation. I wiped a couple tears from my eyes, excusing myself from the room and letting the two catch up.

--

"So," Otto von Bismarck turned to face me. "You're the man who is courting my daughter."

"Yes," I tonelessly responded.

"Hmph." He eyed me over. "She could have chosen much worse." He then walked toward the windows, gesturing for us to follow him.

"I will keep this brief, as you have no doubt heard about the situation from the Japanese captain already." He took off his glasses, and pocketed them. "That is not what I had summoned the two of you here for."

"The road ahead will be long, and tough. There will be many things that will test your resolve, your skills, your bravery and courage, but most important of all," he tapped his chest, "is the bond between the two of you."

He turned toward me, his features solemn. "All I can ask of you, Admiral Schmitt, is to keep my daughter safe."

"I will."

"And Erika, please take care of your husband. The two of you need each other to make it through this hellish nightmare."

"I will, dad."

"Then I will leave you two to your business."

He slowly faded away, before taking us into one final hug.

"Take care. I will be watching you from above from now on."

And then he was gone, leaving only the two of us on a lonely ship.
