The Biggest Clusterfuck That Ever Was [KanColle X World of Warships] (Sorta kinda maybe)

The first one. It's like Arpeggio of Blue steel, but without all the lasers and bullshit armor.
I think a good reference would be the Battle for Los Angeles snip from the Kant-O-Celle quest. Iowa basically forms a human representation of herself and can control her hull and weapons without any assistance.
I see, and are we limited to only the ships in-game, or can we play as anything that fits the WW1-Early Cold War timeline of the game? Do I have to play as a DD, CA, BB, or CV, or could I go for a submarine or one of the other classes not included? And finally the ships we play as work as they were designed, rather then having flaws caused by poor manufacturing or materials during construction.

Anything that fits the timeline. Ships we play as work as designed, for example, my Implacable's guns have proper range, and the deck armor actually works.
Subs....I don't know. It's....well, what do the rest of you think?

I don't write here, but Wargaming is very clear on subject of submarines. They won't be in game.
For very practical reasons: they are SLOW. For example, U-2501, most advanced german submarine, has surface speed of 15.6 knots, submerged 17.2 knots and 6.1 is silent running. On Tier 10 you just can't catch up to anyone.
In game, destroyers are in submarine niche. Especially with short detection range. Minikaze, for example, can stay at 6 km from target and spam torpedoes. Battleship can't see it and has hard time to dodge torpedoes from nowhere.

"Tei… teitoku~?"

I couldn't speak. All I could do was lay there looking like an idiot.

Hands up, here we go!
A.N: Sheesh why are you people all using Tenryuu as the resident bloodthirsty lemming? Sammy seems a better fit for that.

Status: WTF?

Upon awakening 'When did I go to sleep?' there were several discrepancies I noticed even without opening my eyes. First I felt sun on my face and was lying on my back when I had been sitting in my office well after sunset. Second I smelled salt water, which was impossible since I lived far from the ocean. Finally the surface I was on had a slight rocking motion when I should be on solid ground.

Levering myself up, I took a look around. 'Houston, we have a problem.' I was on a warship, in the middle of the ocean (though there did seem to be an island with buildings on it in the distance) and nobody else was on board. That's when I started noticing the weirdness. Despite playing World of Warships a fair bit I wasn't exactly an 'buff' regarding WW2 vessels. Give me a name and class and I can give a general idea of what it's like in the game. But IDing based on appearance? Good luck with that.

So how in the heck did I know in my bones I was sitting in a New Orleans, the engines were idling, guns had HE loaded and the hull was at 100 percent? And that a Myoko was closing fast on (my?) starboard.

What?

Rushing over to the side I looked around for whatever I knew to be there. Suddenly my vision seemed to magnify as focus and magnify showing the approaching vessel. That and my vision now included a WoW target reticule and gun aiming indicators that were turning towards the Myoko. The telephone call that rang in my head was sort of anticlimactic in this insanity.

-Umm.....hello?-
-TRANTOS! You swivel those guns the other way or I swear to all the Kami I will ram an live Type 93 right up your ass!-

I had to blink in shock even as the ship's guns begin turning away. Mostly because I recognized that husky growl, TorpedoTerror. While fond of very aggressive gameplay when we divisioned together, she was one of the saner members of clan [FOG] compared to nuts like FCH or BurningTea44. Though it always seemed like Tatsuda22 had something on her.

-Good. No hold still I'm coming aboard.- Came another transmission as the IJN cruiser pulled alongside.

I looked at the roughly fifteen meter distance between the ships.
-And how are you going to do that?-
-Jump duh.-
-What?-

And she did. Easily. Which was when I finally got a good look at what TorpedoTerror looked like IRL. Now I'd followed the Abyssal War along with everyone else on the planet so I knew about the Ship Incarnates (or Kanmusu as the Japanese insisted on calling them) so I recognized Tenryuu for who she was. Though the spirit of a WW2 warship playing WoW in her spare time? It was like something out of a bad TV show.

"Trantos nice to finally meet you in the flesh. Have to admit you look good in uniform, captain." She said with a cocky grin.

I had already noticed that my outfit had been changed but since I didn't know an ensign from an admiral there hadn't been much point in analyzing it. "Thanks, you as well. Onto more important matter though, please tell me you have some idea of what in the nine levels of hell is going on?"

"Not a clue. Other than the fact that we both seem to be connected to our ships and seem to be off the coast of our team's Alpha Base in WoW."

"Oh goodie. Can you pick up anything on radio? I'd try but not exactly my field."

"Yep, general consensuses in [FOG] is to make for the base to see if we can piece together what's going on. You going to need a tow? We Kanmusu are used to this but..."

"No, no I think I got this." I said as a shudder went through the cruiser with the rudder moving back and forth and the propellers starting to move. It was sort of a phantom limb effect, a lot like those neurally controlled robot arms I'd help test back in University. "Just don't expect me to do any fancy maneuvering."

"Sure, sure. See you at port newbie." She chuckled and spun on her heel before trotting to the edge of the cruiser and made another impossible leap back to her ship.

'Wel time to put my money where my mouth is.' I thought as I cranked the throttle of the ship up to full. Adjusting the course I, along with Torp Tenryuu headed towards the port and hopefully answers.

I guess I'm joining in. Considering the other thread has probably been killed off.

I'm doing a hard reset when it comes to… myself basically for this thread. Snippet's being written up.

So are we using more realistic specs for our ships? Those 11' on the Scharnhorst pack a wallop according to Navweaps.

Almost done with snip, I'm a terribly slow writer...:V

On the Brightside I can build up relations with best carrier here.

Also are any Submarine ship girls (not actual subs as said earlier) going to show up in this as other ships since Tenryuu was sailing a Myokou?

Yep. Real life specs for each ship.

Senjo is ogrekill then. She has an armour layout comparable to a battleship, the speed of a light cruiser, and twelve 203 mm guns that pack a very big punch. Good rate of fire, and deadly oxygen torpedoes as well.

First thing Winter is going to be looking for are blueprints for the Enhanced Kanhon-type Boilers, which would raise his top speed to 38 knots.

Why? Because we gotta go FASTER.

A-yup. Exactly what I mean.

THE DAKKA IS REAL
Well time to face the music yes? Once again I hope I didn't bork this up, say something If I did ladies and gents

BACK IN THE SADDLE

I had been with World of Warships since day one of the closed Beta Test, at the time I was stoked even though all I had to play on was a toaster of a computer. It had been a very rough start the first few months but I finally managed to get the game working right after so much rage, and the cries of 'BULLSHIT' ringing through my house.

Cut to a few years later, several years of college and lots of hand cramps from drawing practice and here I find myself in front of my computer again staring at the icon. It had been a while, certainly a few months since I had touched it after I had finished grinding out the German Battleship tree for the KMS Scharnhorst my best(Read: the one I die the least in) ship in the game by far.

I had been neglecting her.

Now that in of itself was probably an irrational thought, but the Scharnhorst was mine. There might have been other players who owned a Scharnhorst but this was one I had sacrificed many hours to acquire and to me that meant a lot. Regardless, I was proud to sail her even though she was just bits of data.

Either way I had a game to play.

I double clicked the shortcut and fired up the game. The night was still young, for me at least as someone who didn't have to work all day. There were perks to being a 'night owl' after all.
The familiar loading screen popped up in place of my desktop and as in the past the game loaded up. I logged in to see the Scharnhorst, she was fully upgraded and as far as I was concerned she was deadly. Her guns might have been small when compared to something like the Bismarck or the Iowa but they had a fire rate that was rather high amongst Battleships.

I moved the camera about the ship panning about inspecting every inch of her that was above the water line, she almost looked rearing for a fight. I was eager to oblige.
Without wasting more time I hit the big 'BATTLE' button at the top of the screen which sent me into MM and like always it was only a few seconds before I was taken into battle.
Well that's odd, there is no one on the enemy team...
I was tempted to close the game and restart it since it sometimes had hiccups like this. I decided against it and a few minutes later the familiar 10 second countdown started.
It was when the timer hit 0 that everything went black…

*Some time later*

Regaining consciousness was rather… terrifying, you know after passing out for no reason. So when I bolted up from the ground I looked around to find myself not on ground, in fact I'm pretty sure there was no land nearby. Instead I was on a ship a big damn ship at that, in fact this was probably the biggest ship I've ever had the opportunity to set foot on. It was glorious.

It was definitely a warship with there being two rather obvious large and menacing looking super firing turrets mounted on the fore section almost like…

Scharnhorst, the ship. The actual German battleship I enjoyed commanding and here it was right under my feet. No, that wasn't right… more like I'm under my feet. I could feel the steel, the ebb and flow of the sea, hell I could even see through the firing directors mounted all over the place!

"You've got to be shitting me." I said to no one in particular.

"Indeed," voiced someone behind me.

I spun around almost tripping but managed to regain balance so I didn't make a fool of myself. Before me stood a man wearing the uniform of the now extinct Kriegsmarine, the navy that served the German war machine in the Second World War. He looked middle age, old enough to have earned all those medals and what looked to be a high rank.

"Welcome commander," the man said in perfect English.

"Uuuh… have we met before?" I asked.

"No, not in person at least but we have met in a sense," he said with a slight smile.

"Why am I here?"

"To the point as always commander? Simply put you are here to fight as you have longed to. You desired power now you have it, now it is up to you to do the rest. The rest of us have faith in you even when you stumble, Gods speed," He finished before quickly fading.

I stood there slack jawed for who knows how long, what the hell just happened?

"Goddamn ROB, you glorious bastard!" I said before letting out a manic laugh.

I should be mad, no I should be furious, or sad but there was only one emotion pure elation.

For the DAKKA was real and it was mine.

I set my new bodies speed to cruise at 19kts moving towards the closest landmass I could 'sense' in the far off distance. This experience would either be maddening or fun, either way it looked like I was in for a hell of a ride.

Notsoarmoredjaberwocky has arrived…
