The Biggest Clusterfuck That Ever Was [KanColle X World of Warships] (Sorta kinda maybe)

I'm not to worried, mine has 8' guns to shoot at me if I get to close. Plus I would not mind looking like my avatar, he has a nice hat.
Did I mention that you are bug fuck insane while its happening?

Besides its not the smaller ships I'm worry about...

Exactly. It can be a boss battle or something? (Or an upgrade for Lois, who seems to be positively giddy with the idea of going FASTER)

On Erika having absorbed the spirit of H44--

Okay, so I've been thinking about how completely overpowered H44 can be. And guess what. I actually underestimated how powerful/crazy the Nazis were.

Here's the specification sheet pulled of Wikipedia. If you can find me a better source, please link it. I must continue with my Germanboo-ness.

DIMENSIONS
Length -- 345 m (about 25 metres longer than the Scheme 8 Montana-class)
Beam -- 51.5 m
Draft -- 12.7 m
Displacement -- 131 000 t

PROPULSION
Speed -- 30.1 kns

ARMAMENTS
Main Battery
4 x 2 508 mm (20 in) cannon
Secondary Battery
8 x 2 105 mm (4.1 in) cannon (Dual Purpose?)
6 x 2 150 mm (5.9 in) cannon
Anti-AIr Complement
28 x 37 mm (1.5 in) cannon
40 x 20 mm (0.79 in) automatic cannon
Torpedoes
6 x 533 mm (21 in) torpedo

ALL MY FUCKING NOPE IF SHE BECAMES AN ABYSSAL! CAUSE THOSE SPECS HAVE BEEN DOUBLE AT THE LEAST!

then the thread ends?

There's a reason why Alphonse's insignia is this.

Because he knows. And that all this has happened before, and will happen again... and again... and again... and again... and again... and again... and again... and again... and again... and again... and again... and again... and again... and again...

Bigger ship, bigger target. Odesn't matter if the thing can somehow do 40 knots or something. A ship that big is not very agile.

As I made the broadcast, I could see Kongou's ship pulling away alongside Hornet. The destroyers out on picket duty were coming back, and the Barberton was underway. Radio transmissions across the carrier group were frantic, but the evacuation was surprisingly orderly. Maybe because we were all running in the same direction. Radar was degraded from the EMP, which meant that if anything was coming our way, we wouldn't spot it until it was too late.

"All responding ships!" I ordered. "If you are recieving this transmission, you are to change course to heading zero-niner-zero and withdraw with all due haste to safer waters. This area has suffered from a nuclear detonation. This is an emergency action notification! If you are within transmission range and are recieving this broadcast, change course to zero-niner-zero and withdraw immediately! A nuclear detonation has occured and this area is at high risk for radiation and additional detonations!"

I wasn't sure if I was following proper radio procedure in the event of a nuclear detonation, but at least it sounded authorative. Fuck. I never thought I would see the day. The only thing we could do was run as fast as we could and pray more bombs didn't drop.

I once used Springsharp to try and recreate the H-44 like thing, damn thing is scary.

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
246,103 lbs / 111,630 Kg = 61.5 x 20.0 " / 508 mm shells or 60.7 torpedoes

She isn't known as 'The Red Baron of the Seas' in World of Warships for no reason, you know.

Alphonse is just known as 'The Legend of the Northern Sea' for exploits that Nick should know.

You're either joking, or there is a lot of shit that I don't know about in a storyline that I have been trying to maintain.
When the fuck did this happen?

Weird Time Shit has taken effect.

KEIKAKU DORI

... But really, it's up to you how you want to handle the game if we fail. You could go for the 'Wiping our memory' route.

Because of you all i wrote a thing. It pretty much second thing that can be called a prose, and first long piece that i written in english. Please, give some critique.
Also, it's 4:30 in the morning here, and i written pretty much all of it on the spot.

Apparently, playing WoWs on notebook, in bed, in 4 in the morning is (not) a great idea. Because it's lead to really vivid dreams.

I closed eyes for a second during spinning match-maker, and opened them in captain's cabin. How do i know that is captain's cabin? That kind of thing is normal in dreams, you just know things.

I was lying in bed, as i was before i closed my eyes - Black training pants, oversized black T-shirt with faded WoWs logo and open-toed slippers. Glasses. Also, on a rack hang leather WW2 kriegsmarine overcoat, that clashed with everything else terribly and can't be even described as "cool" in context. But it will be protecting me from windy weather, so there that. Windy weather?

Well, being in captain's cabin makes me on a ship. Ships are generally in location with a lot of open space, so there probably will be some wind.

Opening the door out of cabin i was greeted with view of spacious ship's bridge. I'm pretty sure that not how this things works, but convenient, none the less. With did not had any bridgy things, including steering wheel. Instead it had comfy-looking chair on sophisticated mount, probably stabilized, with specialized one-handed keyboard mounted on armrest on one side and trackball on the other.

On a chair there was headset/camera/micro-projector* for AR-interface combo that can be plugged in port on a chair, on transmitter/battery pack combo that you can clip somewhere on your person.

With nothing better to do i done a headset combo. Interface greeted me with "Welcome back, Commander", and showed me range-finder view of sea with slightly modified version of WoWs interface superimposed. And it indicated that ship was Amagi.

In that moment it hit me. I can feel the ship. Where cannons is pointing. Status of boilers. And so on and so on.

I'll probably fell, if not seating in chair.

So, due to so-called ROB, now i was a Amagi? Amalgam of Mental Model and ship-girl? That… Rather neat, actually.

Why don't i freak-out more? Is it because i'm role-player and avid reader in general and done similar thought experiments? If we go with a theory of unlimited multi-verse, than thought experiment in one verse is real in another. One when i'm thinking about it, one when i'm write a story, one when i live one, and one when i read about my own thought experiment.

Amagi was... is my favorite ship in World of Warships. It is… balanced. If you compare it to North Carolina, Amagi has less range, weaker AA and, due to design, basically gimped if you want to fire forward.

However! There are advantages. It's faster, and, most importantly for me, can traverse turret fast enough to keep up with maximum turn of ship itself. So you can aim during extreme maneuvers, witch is impossible for N.Cal.

Also, North Carolina's third turret has somewhat worse forward arch, so you need to show more profile when firing full broadside or advance to target as worse angle than Amagi.

And when you can only target with precision described as "one-and-a-half battleships hulls" due to random part of game mechanics, wider spread of five turrets are more forgiving to errors and RNG will.

I personally specialized in maxed-out AA defence and maneuverability, because of the fucking torpedoes!

- Well, what can i say, Steel is my body and fire is my blood, apparently. Hm… That gives me an idea...
I am the soul of my ship
Steel is my body and fire is my blood
I have fighted over a ten thousand battles
Unknown to Death, Nor having a Life
Have withstood damage to shoot many rounds
I have no regrets. This is the only path
So as I pray…

- ...nope. Don't know how to end it.

On a HUD, there was no team listings, so on a first glance it was impossible to tell, is there someone else with me. I hit M on keyboard, that showed global map of a… reality bubble? Or is just only that particular region was pictured? Map was helpfully indicated as 1000x1000km, had multiple bases centered on islands. I was in one corner, close to one base showing in neutral white color. In the opposite end of the map there was only one base in green color with multiple ships in it, names overlapping and impossible to read. There was second cluster with multiple overlapping ships on some distance from that base and handful of separate icons.

- So there IS someone else.

Open voice chat, that was first implemented way back, in Alpha Test of World of Warplanes, with advances in voice recognition made in reliable speech-to-text tool, was a neat feature. Voice part did not seen much of an action, because of, well, internet, and therefore pretty much everyone disabled it or put in one-way mode.

I enabled two-way mode.
- Test. Test. Anyone hear this? This is Tabula Rasa speaking.
I used name of a ship (like motto you can paint on WoT tanks, but with little more fidelity), it felt like it was more traditional than nickname for actual radio communication.
Silence. Or, more precisely, static.

Presumably, close to 1000km in range is too much for this ship transmitters.

Welp, I'm off to bed, you may use my characters blah, blah, blah, etc, etc, etc.

Musashi usually is fucks deficient while I make less noise then a mouse at the best of times. So if you guys get to a port before I get back assume I passed out on my bridge with Musashi knowing and is keeping a range finder on me at all times.

Well... it sounds Russian alright. Half-broken English, but in a surprisingly good way.
