The Accumulation of Capital (Syndicate/MCU)

OOC: Man, I hope there are no massive and obvious errors here. I mean, this took ages to write. :V

Found one.

Congratulations on being the #ERROR# valued guest to receive an invitation to the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2008 fair! Hosted annually in the heart of London, DSEI is a world leading event that brings together the global defence and security sector to innovate and share knowledge.

[x] Dr Tessa Kiri: Chief Technical Officer. It only makes sense to bring your head of R&D with you to a conference like DSEI as her understanding of robotics and computing systems is extensive and will help you to identify which technologies and companies to watch in the future.

[x] Kinetk Systems
[x] Robotics

Day One:
[x] Security
Day Two:
[x] Panel - Reimagining body armour for the modern era - Sponsored by OsCorp
Day Three:
[x] Air

That's falcon's tech. Do flying Agents sound good to anyone else? They do to me.

Things like the Rhino and other neat things.. lesser than Iron Man, but could provide the oomph needed to get the best.. Could pass but tempting.

[] Panel - Future, heal thyself: How genetic research will help save the future

No clue.. but this miiight lead to info on the spiderman genetics.. of some version.

Definitely could pass this for more 'normal' things.

As for the company and focus and name..

Arms manufacture is a cutthroat business at this time. Robotics and other things I'm not certain about our quality comparatively.. but support equipment, I think there's a good lead there that doesn't connect to the actions undertaken thus far.

[x] Rakesh Mhasalkar: Head of Security.
With extensive experience in overseas peacekeeping, counterintelligence, and corporate espionage operations, Mhasalkar will be invaluable when it comes to navigating the murky politics of networking events at arms fairs. Plus, he's a damn good shot if it comes to it.

We need a plausible front through which to buy, sell and launder. While we're obviously picking up all the catalogues we can, this is not a shopping trip, it's a networking trip. Spread our cover story around so people vaguely recognise our front company name in the future, learn the players, pick up enough local knowledge to build better legends for our own agents and get an idea of who'd be good to tap as local reps.

Good points.. but I still adhere to flying agents being better than even more armored ones for this event. Pararescue tech, aka Falcon tech is more fantastic to me than Oscorp's not invulnerable supersoldiers, especially for infiltration purposes, and if stealth is added.. swoop and snatch operations.. imagine it.

And I feel that instead of air, looking at ground'd be better for our company and cover, look at the competition.

Osborn is more likely to sell us stuff.

My point is, getting know Osborn and hearing about the tech he's proudest of is worthwhile because he's the sort of guy who'll sell his stuff to mystery buyers like us and possibly other people's stuff too. Falcon tech is shiny but it's Stark tech and at the respectable end of US procurement. Those people aren't going to sell to us until we're established. If we establish a relationship with Osborn we can start putting in orders as soon as we have dollars and a delivery address. "Respectable" dealings with Oscorp starts building a history which will be useful when more fastidious vendors do background checks.

Good points as well. I still feel grabbing, not buying, grabbing, the paratrooper tech early is a massive boon for us.

We can do air on day 3. All the exhibitors and panellists will be listed in the programme with a blurb. We don't need to spend a whole day on detailed presentations and Q&A sessions to learn that Stark Industries have a production model flying suit - if we get too close to their booth we'll probably get buzzed by a demonstrator wearing one.

Typically options like these in a quest are 'This is your one opportunity to learn about this item for a good bit' type options that give greater benefits than others.

I'd rather have certainty about getting a lead on flying agent tech able to abduct over the possibility of just getting a bunch of local jet fighter and the like info. Even if both are useful in their own ways.

Hey, just a heads up. There probably won't be an update until sometime after Christmas as I'm flying interstate soon.
