I don't think we should be immediately jump into political integration. I think we should first take a "preparatory" turn to improve relations between our two peoples before attempting it. I'd rather delay integration for one turn than fail integration now.

[X] Plan First Steps:
-[X] [Action] Clear the signs of war from the valley and gather the dead strewn through it.
-[X] [Action] Make night-stone tools to replace the losses and for the White Clans as a sign of goodwill.

No, the White Clan is using one for themselves, so we didn't Lose an action, we just don't control one.

You're right I oversimplified.

We had sufficient people to perform 3 actions.

They were countering our 3 actions throughout our conflict.

Those people who were performing actions have now joined our tribe and we have 2 active actions and 1 passive.

So actually we've lost 3 actions.

No. We still have our 3 actions, even before the war we only had 3 actions despite not being completely decimated.

My apologies I deleted the post almost immediately because it added nothing but you'd already replied.

I'm not sure how to explain this in any other way so I'm just gonna leave it, I think I was pretty clear in my reasoning.

[X] [Action] Clear the signs of war from the valley and gather the dead strewn through it.
[X] [Action] Find a way to merge the council of the village and the chieftain and Skaog of the clans. (Triggers political reform. Possibility to regain control over third action and possibility to gain control over Red-Wolf.)

Hmm

@Azel, it was implied that doing a Great Deed could be useful in unifying our people under a common cause.

Is there any action to go out and hunt the Beast?

We have more than enough food to last the winter, and with two Great Hunters behind us it should be a doable prospect.

Geeze, we're going to have to keep devoting actions to keeping a size 10 faction with incompatible ideas in line, and we still have the issue of feeding everyone and surviving the winter.

We may as well go hunt the beast; we need any action that will reduce the number of Snow People in our tribe without making them hostile towards us. Because we're one small crisis away from them usurping power.

[] [Action] Gather the hunters of the village and the clans to hunt the great beast. To share a great hunt might forge closer ties among them. (Requires Snow-Fox to be assigned to this action.)
I don't think it's a good idea to leave up monuments to our antagonism though.

@Deliste Now actions should simply have greater effect.

Yes, each group had 3 actions before, but they each had to hunt for food, build stuff and whatever.

Now a single hunt will feed everyone, a single build will build enough for the total pop, and so on.

I'm uh, not quite sure you read all of the update.

With peace brought back to the valley, the people on both sides must pick up the pieces as winter draws to a close. What should be done in the final moon before the snow is supposed to melt?
Available Actions: 2 (+ 1 action controlled by the White Clans)
Food Situation: Stable (Trapping)
Reserves: 3.5 Months

We currently have more than enough food reserves to last for the winter, and we will continue to have stable food supplies because we have the combined manpower of both of our tribes working towards keeping the food situation stable.
I'm also not sure where the idea of our tribes being incompatible comes from besides some sort of gut reaction. We both share an ideal (Perseverance) and we both have an ideal/fad that causes others to dislike us (cannibalism and ruthlessness respectively). More than anything these people seem to be a more developed version of our own tribe, both in weaponry and cultural presence.

And on the idea of them "usurping" us, the White Clans are actually the same mood as the Matrons, who are our second most powerful faction. All of our factions are actually in a pretty shitty mood, so it's not as though the White Clans also being pissed is really any sort of big deal.

Hunters
Size: 2 (Tiny)
Influence: 5 (Average)
Mood: 4 (Discontent)

Elders
Size: 1 (Tiny)
Influence: 3 (Low)
Mood: 1 (Mutinous)

Matrons
Size: 8 (Large)
Influence: 8 (High)
Mood: 3 (Discontent)

White Clans
Size: 10 (Huge)
Influence: 5 (Average)
Mood: 3 (Discontent)

I don't think it's a good idea to leave up monuments to our antagonism though.
Hmm, I can agree with that. Before attempting to create a common cause, we should be sure that our former grudges are at least starting to be buried.
I do think that attempting political reform is a bad idea right now though, since it will likely just create a compromise between our two systems that pisses everyone off.

To that end, these seem to be the best options for now:

[X] [Action] Clear the signs of war from the valley and gather the dead strewn through it.
[X] [Action] Share lore among the villagers and the clans. To know more about each others history might help to find common ground.
-[X] [Great Person] Snow-Fox

We already know that the White Clan feel strongly about their dead, so working together to bury our dead should at least show that we are not attempting to disrespect them and their beliefs, while also mollifying our own people who have lost family in the conflict.
Sharing lore should help the future issue of overcoming cultural hurdles, since we will know what the White Clan believe to be important issues and what we can get away with pressing them on. Currently our big issue is not governmental, it is with the factions and how they are all pissed off. If we can get them to be less pissed off, then it will be easier to encourage cooperation and the eventual merging of our tribes.

Not sure I want the winter clan armed with Obsidian or to reach common ground just yet. I'm thinking that since spring is coming, we should use our reserves and build up our influence through Snow-Fox.

Hopefully, we can use this to show Snow-ox as particularly committed to burying the hatchet, and helping to start healing the clans pain.

Double up on one of the actions above and use Snow-Fox.
Then next turn, we double up on the share lore and use Snow-Fox to push his influence. And then maybe later we arm them.
