Sympathy for the Forsaken: A Warcraft-AU CK2 Quest

We literally run out of money to unfuck our economy if we do. We need to keep taking income generators every turn

If people are in agreement I could drop the crusade entirely though. Since I have voters unilaterally changing it is bad form.
Yeah I think taking on two targets with the current state of our forces isn't the best idea. Taking Brill so we can keep ourselves afloat is more important than attacking the scarlet crusade this turn.

Yeah, and keeping in mind that we have no money to reform our army if we loose it, how is it a good idea to risk it? We're broke af, I'm alright with not taking a second military action. The risk seems especially dangerous if we consider that we can't afford to attact Crusade's attention to us.

Modification done, going to bed, tag me if theres anything particularly glaring, I'll see about addressing it in the morning.

Omake: Mud and Bones
Omake - Mud and Bones

It was a dark night sky above the lands once known as Lordaeron. Two Forsaken, Brothers, had there backs to the floor as they looked up into the night sky filled with stars and a quarter of a waning moon. They rasped into the cold night air as they bit by there commentary about the world around them. It was a sour world now for them. A Dark world filled with grief, frustration, angst, fear, and every other negative emotion they could have known and maybe even more. All they had now was each other and there fellow Forsaken. The elder brother Gidion finished a story of how he cut down two scourge zombies by there necks in one strong motion.

To him hear him tell it the scythe was prepared beforehand with sharpening stones that he was able to take from a generous Forsaken. Those two Scourge were his first opponents when he first got up with his unit and he says that the first was completely dismembered but the scythe had lost momentum. Luckily not enough to stop it because the second Scourge zombie had his neck partly cut also. The Scythe simply took care of the work someone else had left unfinished and its head soon joined the floor.

"So that's how it happened brother?" responded Roland. He too was a member of the militia but was mostly a defensive anchor for the rest of the army. He still wore clothing with leather patches covering several large holes from his clothing that degraded as time had gone on. A bit of skinning around for animals and he could make more patches himself and his brother to keep alive. Or safe.

"So what do you think will happen next?" Roland continued looking at his brother.

Gidion shrugged as he looked to his brother and then back at the sky. "Who knows really?"

Several moments passed between them. Normally this would be awkward for Gidion but he grew used to this somehow. He was Forsaken now and certain things just didn't bother him like before.

"I miss our Barn brother." Roland said from no where. "I just felt it now. But I'm sure of it. I miss our Barn."

Gidion looked to his brother who looked back after motioning his head away from the stars. His face looked melancholy and more than usual.

"I-I think i feel the same. You know if we did find horses would they allow us to ride them?"

Roland growled at that. "No."

"But if they were Forsaken like us..." Roland thought for awhile and then sat up. An idea passed through his mind and then he looked to his brother.

"Do you trust me?"

Gidion looked to his brother and sat up as well. "Yes."

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nathanos looked between the two Forsaken militiamen. They were a mishmash of uniforms stirred together with one holding a large farming scythe and the other wielding a longbow on his back with a sword to his side. The latter reminded him of a Ranger but one much lesser than a recruit from his time in this world.

The two of them explained there plan of taking Horses away from the Red humans that attacked them and have them kept in captivity. And then using necrotic magic to raise them as Zombie Horses. The idea received a knee jerk reaction from Nathanos who felt the Dark Lady would be hard pressed to take the lives away from animals and there free will...then again do Horses have free will?

"If we are to do this, we will able to one day outfit a Calvary squadron similar to that of the living. With it we can ram into them with heavy armor as Knights." Said Roland.

"Or we can keep them light and scout on the land or even pick off stragglers and patrols. Firing from a horse with a bow is difficult but not impossible."

The latter was an interesting idea to be sure. But who could possibly raise them these beasts?

"I will think on it...but I would like to see a proof of concept. I may one day ask you to help us scout out the Red humans that hunt us and eradicate them before they can do more damage. That will be your opportunity to find horses for us to ride in. If the living refuse to be mounted we will keep them penned in until we can find alternate methods. Until then, Dark Lady Watcher over you." intoned Nathanos.

"Dark Lady watch over you." repeated the brothers.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The brothers walked the streets of the Undercity as they made there way to find mushrooms to eat. They Mused with delight at the reception of there idea from such a higher up. If thing went well, The Forsaken would have there own Knights or Reconnaissance Corps to match the living.

The Nightmare Brothers sat and ate with the closest things to smiles in there whole Undead lives.

Glory to the Forsaken

[X] Plan We're Broke

If we wasn't so broke, nor in such a...weak position, I vote for other stuff. But we really need to secured Tirisfal Glade from the Scourge. Hopefully, the Scarlet lay off for the moment while we fix our...poor situation. (Plus we would start to corner their main base.) Only once we're not so broke, and we taken Brill, we can focus on other stuff.

Heck, we may actually learn something important from Varimathras while we at it.

I also want to take Nathanos' personal action next. It's just friendship times and fluff, but Sylvanas needs fluff in her undeath, lest she goes crazy and bitter from all the responsibility.

Could we take one of the two option for Piety ? Each one cost 100g, and we still have 190g right now no ?

If we can get Brill next turn, we will get loot, and if we don't get Brill, well, we probably lost, 100g will not change much.

We alredy got a good deal with our former maid turn Undead leader Vellcinda, or at least the start of something good with her, but Nathanos would be a good idea for that.

I really think we should build our spy network so we can know more of the doings and happenings in our wonderful hot burning mess of the Eastern Kingdoms, and First of the Guard next. (Plus Bats because I love bats. I love to see how the Scarlet would deal with Giant Bats.)

We could try to make a mercenary company that is offered abroad for a fee. Have some dark rangers pay a visit in a semi regular bases and we can get a lot of world intel that way.

That's actually a really great idea. Everyone comes out happy. We get money, connections, and influence, the people who hired them gets great protection.

On the contrary, this is a horrible idea. We have no way to replenish our numbers on our own.

Unless you're content with raiding other peoples graveyards on regular basis, I guess?

I mean I was thinking about doing so with the idea of using a certain plot device from WOTLK.

Or necromancy. Or some other thing.

Thus far we don't seem to have a limit on how much we can expand our military so I figured we could do that.

Outside of necromancers, 90% of whom are hostile to you, you cannot replenish your numbers. And as of now Sylvanas has no idea the Vyrkul exist. Y'all have a good deal of content and a whole expansion to get through before you get to WOTLK

This is why we really need to become an 'quality over quantity' people. Every Forsaken solider worth five footman, or ghouls. Every Dark Ranger a dozen normal ones. Best weapons, and most special units, that kinda thing.

Until we find a good normal (And hopefully morally.) way of rebuilding our numbers outside of more freed Undead, or necromancers, or way down the line, Vyrkul, we really gotta watch our population.

Very much agreed, we must prevent losses as much as possible. Luckily, we are undead. There's virtually no other race that's better at using heavy armor on regular basis. We don't tire, we don't get cold. Good luck trying to break a line of heavy pikemen with undead resistance to damage, steel discipline and years of experience, once we get going.

Once you show some proper care and planning, undead troops become terrific.

From up above Tirisfal Glade and the surrounding areas looked so small. It was hard to think that this patchwork of fields, forests and small homesteads was once the most important region in the biggest human kingdom in the known world. From atop her bat Sylvanas could also pretend that she could sweep away it all with one hand, run her fingers through the dirt to create great rents and furrows big enough to swallow a town. There, to the south, sat the still buzzing and lightly glowing ruins of Dalaran; where she had first killed and fought besides the accursed Arthas. To the east blossomed the Plague Lands, a festering stain on the earth that seemed to move and twitch with a mind of its own. And beyond that, far to the north, she swears she can make out a few of the still standing spires of Silvermoon; leaning over tipsily like a drunkard a few steps out of the tavern. It...hurt too much to think about that place. Her chest still ached where Frostmourne had been driven through her breast, where Arthas has corrupted her body and soul forever more. It ached with the hurt of knowing that her people were destroyed. For even if they had escaped, without the Sunwell they would quickly become addicted, corrupted husks.

No, it was better to focus on the now, on the here. For the High Elves were no longer her people. The Forsaken were. Just meters away Nathanos gives her a knowing nod from atop his own bat as they start to circle down for their descent towards Cold Hearth Manor. The soldiers they had sent, little more than hastily armed farmers in truth, had done their best in fixing up the place. Broken windows had been boarded up, the outer fence around the farm had been made into a short wall with debris and dirt on the side that faced Brill, a tarp had been put over the holes in the roof and the banner of the Forsaken hung from the roof. Various soldiers, mostly zombies but a few ghouls and banshees were also about, milled around in the fields around the house; play cards, eating food, practicing weapon drills or just speaking to each other in the low, gravelly voice of the undead. All snapped to attention and saluted their Dark Lady; though in a ragged sort of way that would make an experienced general groan, as she landed in front of the makeshift command post.

Inside yet more Forsaken ran papers and reports too and from the central room, which had been turned into a command post by Belmont and Nathanos when they had first arrived. Most of her council was assembled here, though Vellcinda and Putress were notably absent. Vellcinda had begged off coming in order to watch over the rehousing of newly freed Forsaken in the newly cleared Residential Quarter of Undercity. Putress's absence was an anomaly, made even stranger by the presence of one of his main lieutenants, Faranell.

The apothecary notices her look of confusion and nods. "Master Putress is busy working on a few side experiments. He commanded me to take his place here and relay any requests you make back to him. He deeply apologizes for any frustration and relays his best wishes for the retaking of Brill."

Sylvanas narrows her eyes at Farnaell and shares a look with Belmont and Nathanos before speaking. "Very well. I trust you to convey my annoyance and request that he inform me beforehand next time this happens. And for him to share these side experiments with me." She sighs and looks at the rest of the council. "Very well, let us properly convene. Brill is within our sights, but we have new foes to deal with. Ontop of that our budget is quite anemic and I worry about upkeep growing beyond our control. These issues must be fixed, so let us decide how we will do so."

Martial (Choose 2) - Nathanos Blightcaller is Champion of the Banshee Queen and Ranger General of her armies. Under his watchful eyes he seeks to bring up the status of the Forsaken military from a ragtag group of walking corpses in rags and tatters to something resembling a professional army. Blightcaller is a master of using special forces and highly trained individual units to accomplish objectives. This elven approach to war makes him focus less on the mainline units of the Forsaken army.

[X][Martial]Brill-iant Display: Brill, the capital of the Tirisfal region and its made trading hub, lays within grasp. Unfortunately taking it will require a great deal of blood and tears. The town is filled to the brim with the Scourge. Zombies and skeletons patrol the stress, ghouls hunt its alley ways, banshees haunt the buildings and there have been sightings of abominations near the inn. Even worse, a necromancer lurks at its heart, one of the many Scourge warlords to have tried to carve out their own undying fiefdom in the ruined lands of Lordaeron. The rewards for taking it, however, are great. If Brill is taken then patroling and occupying the rest of Tirisfal becomes much, much easier. If the Scarlet Crusaders really do use that Monastaery as a base of operations, Brill is in the perfect place to cut off their supply networks to any outposts they have in the region. Finally the town itself is likely full of plunder, or at least juicy Scourge intel. All these mean one thing, Brill must be under Forsaken rule as soon as possible! Time: 1 turn CoS: 50% Cost: Potential Unit Loss Reward: Brill secured, Loot, Intelligence, Many options unlocked

58+20 = 78 vs 50 = Success

It is early in the eternally twilight morning of Tirisfal when the Forsaken began to move upon Brill. Under the cover of darkness they crept forwards towards the town, using the unthinking nature of their enemy to move closer and closer without them noticing. From the middle of their ranks, embedded with his precious rangers and warriors, Nathanos Blightcaller raised a hand. And from the front ranks a shower of arrows and javelins bloomed, smashing into the unaware undead in the Brill graveyard.

From there the battle was joined as a throaty groan echoed from the charging forces of Undercity. Long before the creation of Arathor, the Arathi people has used the area the Brill was built on as a gravesite. Hundreds upon thousands of bodies were packed tight below the earth. Cromwell, Necrolord of Brill, had used this mass burial ground to bolster his forces, creating a horde sizable enough to match those gathered in the Plaguelands and beyond. However ancient bones and unthinking minds are no match for the sheer rage of a people once enslaved now free. The Scourge line on the outskirts of Brill resisted but, as the ferocity of the Forsaken cleaved the last banshee in Brill chapel into wispy pieces; it buckled. A groan echoed from the center of town as the Scourge, their line centered around the still terrifying Abomination, pulled back.

From there the fighting descended into a brutal house to house affair. Both sides used ghouls to make tunnels between buildings and clashed brutally in alley ways and tight corridors. Gargoyles picked off lone undead to dash them against the ground before they fell to deadly accurate ranger fire. The Majordomo of Undercity, Varimathras himself appeared to brutally wound the Abomination when it attempted to rush the quavering militia line. But as the Forsaken pushed closer and closer to the main square after a week of city fighting, it appeared that it would take the majority of their strength to push through the forces barricaded around and inside Gallow's End Tavern.

Unfortunately for the Scourge, they had forgotten about the absence of two important Forsaken forces: the undying cavalry of the Forsaken, lead by the increasingly popular Nightmare Brothers; and the Banshee Queen herself. For as the Scourge had moved to fortify the southern approaches of the city, they had left the north dangerously under strength. And it was there that Sylvanas Windrunner and the Undercity Cavalry struck, slamming through the hastily construed fortification and meager lines of zombies like a hammer. What had once been a siege turned into a bloody free for all as skeletal horses smashed the bones of their humanoid counter parts to dust and rusted scythe and lance speared zombie and ghoul alike. In the fighting Gideon Nightmare cut the Abomination of Brill's stomach open after a tense ten minutes of dancing around the creature with his horse, watching in grim satisfaction as it slumped over dead. Within Gallow's End itself Sylvanas, Blightcaller and Varimathras and their honor guard. The Dreadlord and the Ranger-General pushed through a haze of biting insects and poison to murder the mummified bug in the tavern's stables and the Banshee Queen herself put an arrow through Cromwell's eye as the necromancer tried a desperate last defense in the inn's attic. As the Scourge crumbled with their leader dead and the flag of the Forsaken hung from the roof of the inn Sylvanas looked down on her people as they cheered and shouted her name. Many had died, numbers they could little replace, but it was worth it. The first great blow had been struck against the Scourge and finally, for the first time, it felt like there might be hope after all.

Cost: 1 Unit of Forsaken Militia

Rewards: Brill taken from the Scourge Warlord Hulbard Cromwell, 600 gold seized from looting the city, Intrigue Actions Unlocked, Stewardship Actions Unlocked, Martial Actions unlocked, Diplomacy Actions Unlocked, Piety Actions unlocked

Stewardship (Choose 1) - Varimathras is a Dreadlord, one of the great demon commanders of the Burning Legion. Forced into Sylvanas's service during the Third War he now is the Majordomo of Undercity and in charge of the running of the Forsaken as a whole. While not widely liked or trusted by the undead, Varimathras has managed to gain a measure of grudging respect for making sure that the Forsaken have food, shelter and the semblance of an economy. He is quick to note that you are running quite the deficit and the treasure you looted from the Lordareon Royal Vault will not last for much longer.

[X][Stewardship]Bat Husbandry: Giant Bats could possibly become one of the most important parts of the Forsaken economy. The ability to move quickly around via the air, along with carrying fairly major loads, is not to be dismissed out of hand. The possibility of setting up a semi-industrial scale roost for them in ruined Prince's Palace near the central Palace of Lordaeron City is being floated around. It would be expensive, but growing income from farming the bats, as well as their ability to lower the cost on other projects, much just save the Forsaken budget. Time: 2 Turns Cost: 200 Gold CoS: 80% Reward: Bat farming, +20 Income boost 1st turn, +40 next turn, +60 after that; costs lowered on other construction options

While in the aftermath of the taking of Brill few pay attention to the long process of raising giant direbats, numerous reports appear on Sylvanas's desk. Varimathras reports that the first generation of bats growing accustomed to their Forsaken handlers and that there is real hope in the project. The skeleton of the roost in the former Prince's Palace has been constructed and within a year they should be ready for large scale production. -1 TURN REMAINING-

Diplomacy (Pick 1): Vellcinda Benton, a former scullery maid, was one of the first zombies to regain their minds in Tirisfal. A symbol of hope and freedom she gathered together a mass following and became incredibly popular among the average Forsaken citizen. In another life she might have been the Forsaken's Dark Lady, but instead she serves you a liaison to the people and the other powers of Azeroth. Such that there are.

[X][Diplomacy]Rotting Council: Sylvanas has agreed to put up Vellcinda's idea of a secondary advisory council as another level of governance just before herself in Forsaken society. While there is worries that it will dilute her ability to properly rule the Forsaken with an iron first; it cannot be said that the positive effect it will have on morale among the citizenry and the ability to delegate some work aren't attractive. A test of this 'Blighted Council' idea might not be the worst thing. Time: 1 Turn CoS: 50% Cost: Possible loss of stability Reward: Blighted Council created, Gov type changes to Forsaken Council Monarchy, Blighted Council mechanics come into play

62 vs 50 = Success

In many ways, it is the jubilation at the success of the Forsaken's first real military campaign that makes the transitional period work so well. Without the boost from the capture of Brill many more undead would be unsettled and confused by the creation of the Blighted Council. However with trust in Sylvanas and pride in institutions of the Forsaken at an all time high the creation of a new body to represent the common undead is greeted with, if not mass cheers, wide spread mild approval. Within a few weeks of its creation the amount of minor issues and reports hitting Sylvanas's desk go down greatly and problems within Undercity are fixed with greater intensity than before. While only appointed figures, the Blighted Council, headed up by a beaming Vellcinda, provides the common Forsaken on the street with the feeling that they really are represented in their government and that they have a safe place to voice their complaints and suggestions.

Rewards: Blighted Council created, Government Type changed to Forsaken Appointed Council Monarchy, + Vellcinda Relationship, Blighted Council mechanics unlocked Turn 3

Intrigue (Choose 1) - Commander Belmont was a student of Ravenholdt Manor in life and death has only strengthened his love of all things shadowy and underhanded. A prime example of a Rogue he has quickly risen to the top of the local Thieves Guild, naming it the Undercity Lodge of the Ravenholdt and working to secure a home for his new people. A master of infiltration and information gathering, Belmont hopes to see the Forsaken dominate the information game in Lordaeron.

[X][Intrigue]Eyes on Brill: Brill was the regional capital of Tirisfal at one point, a major trading city where the local farmers sold their produce and haggled over the price of grain. Now its a mouldering ruin where zombies and skeletons mill about. Every few months some necromancer or Deathknight takes over until another would be warlord kills them, with the winner then taking over and continuing the cycle. Right now a minor necromancer rules over Brill from the Gallow's End Tavern, using its massive graveyard to fuel his army. While a proper attack on the town isn't possible, good recon and information gathering will only help the assualt. CoS; 70% Cost: 100 Gold Time: 1 Turn Reward: Information about Brill, +20% to retaking Brill action

89 vs 30 = Success

As the scattered forces of the Forsaken prepared themselves for the main assault on the town of Brill, other groups of the free undead made their moves. Through the overgrown fields and forests of Tirisfal they sulked, using drainage ditches filled with foliage and the burned out ruins of farm houses to push into the city proper. Brill, once a shining market town, had been turned into a dying ruin. Most of its buildings were shattered shells, and those that did remain some what habitable were half ruined and filled with the Scourge. This did provide ample cover for the Rogue's of Belmont to scamper from alley to alley, roof top to roof top. From these vantage points they were able to get a clear picture of the town. On small maps targets were labeled, gaps in the patrols marked and the positions of the stronger packs of roaming zombies noted. The most dangerous parts of the city were the former church and its massive graveyard; protected by a squad of wight's and a rotting Abomination; and the Gallow's End Tavern. There the necromancer Hulbard Cromwell made his court, surrounded by banshees, ghouls and a strange, insect-like creature. With this information in hand the rogue's ex-filtrate the city and return to Cold Hearth Manor, where the information is from there given to Commander Belmont and Ranger-General Blightcaller as they prepare their assault.

Reward: +20% boost to Brill-iant Display, information on Brill.

Personal (Choose 1) - Sylvanas Winderunner, the Dark Lady of Undercity, Banshee Queen of the Forsaken. She fought against Arthas and at his side and was legendary even before her death as Ranger-General of Silvermoon and one of the Windrunner Triplets. It is through her force of personality that the Forsaken are brought together and by her will and desires that they work. She will not let her people be slaves again.

[X][Personal] Veterans of Arthas: Even if she does not like him all that much, Varimathras is one of the few people that actually understands what it is like to work for and against Arthas Merenthil, Lich King of the Scourge. While their relationship is...frosty, spending some time helping the Dreadlord organize Undercity might make him a little less pouty, and give Sylvanas more information about the Burning Crusade. CoS: 50% Time: 1 Turn Reward: +Relationship between Sylvanas and Varimathras, Possible Information on Burning Crusade

Varimathars makes his office off the main throne room of Undercity, ensconced within the administrative workings of the Royal Quarter. Formerly the tomb of a powerful Lordaeronian Duke, the sprawling crypt complex has been turned in the beating heart for the running of Undercity. Scribes, officials and other bureaucrats scurry out of the Banshee Queen's way as she makes her way through the office. Even a nation as new and small as the Undercity needed legions of paper pushers to get anything done. A nesscarry evil of good governance and keeping everyone fed.

Within Varimathras's office prior, built around the actual resting place of the old duke so much that he was using the ancient rulers sarcophagus as a desk, Sylvanas walked into a strange sight. The great dreadlord, master of demons, a high ranking former member of the Burning Legion and now the Forsaken; was in a staring contest with a direbat. He glared at it as it stared back uncomprehendingly at him. As Sylvanas opened her mouth to either say something or laugh, she wasn't sure which, the bat let out a squeak

To this squeak Varimathras growled and slammed a fist down on his desk. "DAMNIT! I said none of that around me! I am your master, you will treat me with respect!" To which the direbat replied with another squeak. The dreadlord groaned and turned to look at his visitor. When he saw it was none other than his superior he let out a series of sheepish coughs and straightened up. "It is...Well, You know. I decided to try raising one of the pests myself. As an experiment. It has a damnably cheeky nature." He saw Sylvana's utterly unimpressed look and grunted. "Never mind the bat. What do you want? If you're here for your monthly gloating just get on with it, I have things to do."

The Banshee Queen rolled her eyes and sat down in one of the chairs placed across from Varimathras. "As fun as that sounds, I came here to do more than remind you of your failures. I wanted to talk, to reminisce," she notices his raised eyebrow, "about the times before I was freed. When was campaigned with Arthas."

Varimathras grunts and leans back in his chair. "You mean when I lead him around by the nose after we shipped him off to Northrend? Bah, that should've been our first warning. Ner'zul was insistent on wanting the boy to be Frostmourne's host; said his connection to the line of Arathor made him more powerful. It was satyrshit and we shouldn't known."

"Then why did you? You were the masters of the Lich King. Surely you could've told him he would have to make do with any one else? Uther Lightbringer was in your grasp several times. Seems to me he was much more suitable than Arthas."

"Archimonde," his face contorts in annoyance as he says the name, "ignored our complaints. Said that it was beneath his notice and that we would either work with the frozen orc or be replaced by someone who would."

Sylvanas chews on that for a second. "And you had no one above him you could talked too?"

He shakes his head. "You do not know how the Legion works. There was no one above him expect for Him. And He was long dead. I doubt that Archimonde's brother would've given a shit; and honestly we didn't either. I disliked Arthas but he was just another pawn; a means to an end. So we shipped him off and that road ended with my brothers dead and me here." There is a real weariness in his voice. A bitterness that goes beyond his occasional petulant nature.

She stares at his face for a long time. "...You called your people the Nathrezim before. Did you have a choice in join the Legion; a life before this?"

"No," His tone is dark, "He found some of us on a blighted rock, worshiping things best left unnamed. He remembered us and when He looked to create the Legion he sent Kil'jaeden," Varimathras spits out the name with real hatred, "to enslave us. The Nathrezim were monsters before that, yes; but He made sure we would not be our own monsters anymore."

The silence in the room is thick enough to be cut with a sword as the two former slaves stew in their own thoughts. Quietly Sylvanas gets up and moves towards the door. Before she leaves she turns to the still brooding Dreadlord. "Varimathras I'm...I apologize for what I had you do. For making you slay your own. It was not right."

He says nothing in return as she leaves, still staring at the direbat he had named Balnazzar.

Reward: +Relationship between Sylvanas and Varimathras, Information on the Legion

Finally, we actually have some space to do other stuff and not so much in an awful situation. Yes, we till got the Scarlet and Scourge to deal with, and soon, but now we can focus on other things to help with that. (See quality over quantity.)

The bit about Varimathras was actually kinda interesting. Not sure we could trust him given Canon, still, but it does seem Balnazzar may be really dead, or at least not on Azeroth. (Or Balnazzar is off on his own goals with the Scarlet and Varimathras just doesn't know.) We at least know more about the Legion.

Blighted Council helps with our workload, so it nice to have.

There will be opportunities to further specialize and diversify the Forsaken military. Right now you have the option to include Infantry and Flying Militia and there will be more coming in the future.
