What do you think about his theory that Silksong is going to be a Prequel rather than a Sequel?Imma just wait until mossbagvidya comes out with another lore video.
What a delightful cretin he is.

Speedrunners are going to have a lot of fun I think.Man, Hornet can book it in those videos. That'll be fun tofall into pits doingjump around with.
This is one of the best damn games I've ever played. Everything is so well-crafted. The atmosphere, the music, the gameplay, the artwork, the enemies and bosses and characters...
God. Silksong can't come fast enough. This certainly isn't the game I've played the longest but it's one of the ones I've enjoyed the most. I've just fallen in love with it completely, I mainlined mossbag into my eyeballs and I endured White Palace. On my way to the 'true' ending, as people like to call it.
I've just never seen anything quite like Hollow Knight. Well, okay, it takes a lot of core mechanics from the Metroid games, but the way it combines them with the wonderful progression and the backgrounds and atmosphere just keeps you driving forward and forward in a way I've never been drawn forward in a game. Just when you feel like you're getting tired of a zone, you open up a new one; no place overstays its welcome (well, maybe White Palace if you have a hard time platforming, and in general it's a frustrating part as Hollow Knight isn't usually platform hell).
I am very curious to see what they do with Pharloom. The thing with Pharloom that we appear to see is that it's fully alive, a breathing world where the protagonist has their own voice. That could be a very significant shift in tone away from HK and I'm both excited and worried. On the one hand, I think they have the potential to make the story even cooler and greater, but on the other, a lot of the pathos contained in Hollow Knight is about the sheer depth of the tragedy. Every single area is marred by it, every character scarred by it, every little corpse and body part of the elegy of Hollownest.
Can we get anything like the abyss' plumbings of the depth of the soul (or lack thereof) in such a world, or will it be much more a fantasy adventure with some tragic undertones? It will be fascinating to see how they handle it and how they take the story. I suspect for the more tragic elements they could draw on both the nature of whatever is enslaving Pharloom, the weavers (they're involved somehow) and Hornet's own past.
Personally, I hope they don't even attempt to recreate Hallownest's tragic and ruined nature. They've already done that. They've done it really, really well. Instead of just repeating (and probably failing to live up to) this, I'd like to see them go for something different.
Well, you do have to remember: Hallownest was marred by a tragedy that had long past, but was still overshadowing the present. But meanwhile, Pharloom is haunted. The tragedy and crisis that threatens its citizens? It's present, it's ongoing... and has been for awhile.I am very curious to see what they do with Pharloom. The progression of movement from 'can run and jump' to 'can jump twice, dash, wall jump, and attach a fucking rocket to your feet' was great and also the primary reason there's no way I'm starting a new game ever. I found the obstacle course segments fun- even the White Palace, in retrospect, though I probably would have smashed something if I wasn't using the Hiveblood charm. I'd also probably still be there if I hadn't found a way to bypass that damn spike hallway.
I really liked all the major story moments and kinda wish there were more of them. I had no clue what the plot was supposed to be until I fell down a hole and landed in a graveyard, but I feel like that was the intent.
Will Hornet be able to speak in this game? As in, might we get some dialogue trees and stuff?
Collect the missing flames and do Trial of the Fool at least.Stuff I haven't done- Still need to collect more flame so (presumably) I can fight an even harder version of Grimm, I head about a Path of Pain, and I haven't done anything with the Godseeker stuff. I also need like 500-ish more Dream Essence for a trophy, so I guess there's some dream bosses I haven't done. I haven't done Trial of the Fool, and I haven't finished the hunter's journal.
Although forgive me for prying into your personal beliefs I could have sworn you would be oppossed to excercises of eroto-euphoric-masochism on principle.![]()
Descending Dark their ass into oblivion. Invincibility frames for the win!

Aye, but with darker connotations. Remember, we're climbing to the peak of Pharloom. Who knows what sort of secrets and inconvenient truths might have fallen from on high. Hallownest's depths alone were tragic enough, imagine the horrors that await from somewhere that so prides itself at reigning over their lessers from on high.I'm really liking Bonebottom, because it's got that same sort of vibe as Resting Ground from the first game.
Yeah, it took me several tries to beat her. The main advice I have is to just fight her more and try to get used to her attacks. Also, don't bother trying to attack while she's doing the glowy-orb attack, just focus on dodging.Yes. I can get past the Hollow Knight consistently. But the moth is super hard.
