I can't say that Orochimaru appearing was a surprise considering he is the founder of the village and our sensei is a jinchuuriki. The decision on the tie is up to the GM too and the consequences of the vote to fight there was pretty clear.

I know it escalated quickly but none of it was surprising. I think you need to remember it's Naruto with Pokémon in it, cause this is exactly what happens in that show.

It wasn't a tie. It was a majority vote. It was only a tie for the Pokemon.

Hello, hi. I'm person. I wasn't here for the last few votes, busy with life, but I can honestly say that anyone who didn't expect Orochimaru to pop up was fooling themselves.

Han is a damned bijuu container. Fullstop. For there to be a situation that caused any sort of controversy when going to the Mother's damned Village of Sound there are blessedly few people that could give him problems. It was always going to be Orochimaru when it came to that and it was obvious to me the second I looked back at what caused this to happen. So, yes, choosing this was incredibly dumb and the outcome was incredibly obvious.

Pokemon die in Pokemon. It's covered up in cutesy imagry but the world of Pokemon is very dark, lmao. The voters deserve to be chided and I'm a voter. You got a get out of death free card and a warning. Get out your feelings, recognize it for what it is, and make better votes.

I'm not someone who cares for min-maxing unless I do, but, just don't vote for whatever you see just because it's shiny and looks cool. There were other options every way of the last few votes. Just find them going forward.


As far as the vote, here is what I think is best. Fall back into specializing our role in the team for now. After Chunin exams we can branch out again. But, Genjutsus and Pokemon is best as well as getting to know our new team.

while I would say it's a bit odd for orochimaru to have just shown up like that, even if we were investigating his village I'd have expected him to send some of his minions to deal with it (he absolutely had minions capable of taking down our entire team without much effort). but it was kind of obvious how it would go if we tried to fight him. I'm honestly just confused why that was so early in the quest.

Er ... like who? The closest one I can think of is Kabuto but he's in Konoha right now.

ok, if Kimimaru was still healthy and brought his team, they probably would have had a pretty good chance. I'm not sure how kimimaru would stack up against Han but I don't think it would matter if the others dealt with the genin and went to help him. other than that I feel like orochimaru probably had hundreds more followers who we just never saw although probably not many of them at a useful skill level

Kind of expected the same. He has a whole Hidden Village after all, it'd be like reconing Konoha andgetting ambushed by Sarutobi.

Admittedly Oto isn't exactly fleshed out.

Orochimaru should have been in talks with Sand so he could backstab them then impersonate the Kazekage for the Chunin Exams... As for people that could be sent there's the sound four from the kidnapping arc, the sound genin, or just some random OCs like our team mates were. Filler characters would have been a decent spring board for OC Sound Ninjas.

I don't think the Sound four could stand up to Han, nor the sound genin.

    Saya was reaching the point with genjutsu that she was getting limited dividends. Thankfully, genjutsu was an art that was grown from imagination. However training Roselia and Spearow was going well. Roselia learned some more new moves and Spearow was getting close to evolving, she could tell. They trained drills together until they couldn't move and Saya promised, promised it wouldn't happen again.

    She arranged a dinner with all of her team, on the promise she'd buy. It was a good restaurant and they all sat down, looking at each other uncomfortably. Kyoko pulled back her purple locks primly while Ryouga adjusted his curly brown hair.

    "So, Kyoko, what's your specialty?" Saya asked, with fake cheer.

    "I'm an sabotage specialist that uses explosive tags. You need me to get inside and blow shit up, that's me." she said, looking at the menu. "Look, Iwa, we're only here because you promised you'd pay. We already have a sensei and it's not him."

    Saya ignored her. "Ryouga what's your specialty?"

    "I uh, like taijutsu and medical ninjutsu?" Ryouga said shyly.

    "Han, you should tell them about your specialty," Saya encouraged, the uncomfortable man. He sighed before speaking.

    "I'm a taijutsu specialist that uses steam jutsu," Han explained. "I could probably help your taijutsu Ryouga."

    "Oh, that'd be nice," Ryouga said, brightening up. Kyoko kicked him under the table. "But, um."

    "We can keep it discreet," Han said, sighing.

    "What?"

    "If you haven't notice Iwa, your reputation is in the dumpster because of your sensei," Kyoko said acidly. Saya did recall people giving her a wide berth at the market these days. "We rather not get dragged down with you."

    Saya glared at her at last. "Can't you be nice?"

    "I'm not going to let you pretend to be our new teammate. Natsuo was our teammate, not you." Kyoko snapped out.

    "Food's here!" Ryouga said hurriedly, as steaming hot piles of food was delivered.

    They ate in stony silence.
