We got immediate life and death covered. Best start keeping the gods happy before someone realises they missed a couple.
Our neighbors don't know we exist yet(and aren't insane enough to attack in the coming harvest season or winter seasons)

Do we have skilled artisans in our group?
I'm not expecting them to produce anything notable right now of course, but when it comes to developing skills later will we be starting from scratch?

Well, keeping in mind that this is IC knowledge and thus might be wild speculation or sailor's talk, the Egyptians are said to be most knowledgeable magicians in the world, skillful in binding spirits to their will though the use of arcane implements.

Thanks. It could be cool if magic in this universe was like conan and Salomon Kane magic. Not pyrotechniq but powerful and strange.

As in they also challenged the gods on various things and get punished too right?
The "challenge and die" list is by no means exhaustive, but neither Orpheus nor Tiresias challenged the gods, as far as I remember.
Orpheus got killed by a bunch of madwomen worshipping Dyonises for either: ignoring an invitation to their orgy because he was mourning his wife Eurydice, forgetting to honor Dyonises in a song or seeing the mysteries of Dyonises, which were a secret.
Tiresias just got turned into a woman for seven years by Hera because he hit copulating snakes with a stick, and Hera took offence as the goddess of the family.

Greek mythology, man.

Also sould we build a temple for Athena later? Because she suits good for a people of artisans and scolars.

Er are Not Scholars and even being artisans is debatable

We are however craftsmen and poets as such after the

And she is one of the less assholes gods.

Lol are you for real ?
She sometimes starts competitions with mortals just to make them lose and punish them
Say nothing of her habit of having grief with other gods

If anything we should stick with the straight forward gods like poseidon who just wreck your shitfor not honoring them instead of Turning your citizen into monster

Seems a close race between a temple for Hepheastus and logging camps.

Absolutely, Athena is the most reasonable goddess of all major Olympians. Just one example, so all the challenging gods stuff can become a dead horse faster.
Arachne challenged Athena to a weaving competition.

Athena came to her disguised as an old woman and said: "This is a bad idea. Are you su-u-ure?" Arachne still wanted to challenge.

Athena showed herself and repeated the question in her best Dungeons&Dragons GM voice: "Are you sure?" Arachne was still resolute.

Then they weaved tapestries. Athena approved of Arachne's skill, but disapproved of the content of the tapestry (it was disrespectful to Olympian gods). So she tore the tapestry and hit Arachne with a stick.
Then Arachne weaved a rope and tried to suicide. Athena took her out and said: "Nope, you will live and you will weave." And then Arachne was a spider.

That was the only competition against mortals Athena took part in and she did not start it. On the other hand, Athena helped almost every Greek hero (including, but not limited to: Perseus, Cadmus, Heracles (a lot), the Argonauts, Diomedes, Achilles, Odysseus and Theseus). She also created the first olive tree.

Edit: If you want to see your honored god wreck stuff, consider this: during the Gigantomachy, Athena buried a giant by hitting him with a giant rock. That rock is known today as the isle of Sicily.

we need the wood not just for building stuff, but also to have something that we can burn to heat our homes when the winter hits.

Good points. After i think it could synchronize Well with our peoples.

Wow really ? I didn't knew this from her. From what i know except arachne she is more the goddess who help heroes.

And in all cases have the godess of wisdom, war and craft in our side is always a good thing.

Also, have we a better idea of where de are ? I read that is was somewhere in africa, latter spain and after south of France. All this options a good but i would have an idea.
