I don't think she's converting as such. I think it's more that anything that's in the prison beyond the stars is by definition a being from beyond the stars. So she probably won't become eldritch or anything but it does open up some options.
The beings on the other side are mostly in stasis--no need to eat, no need to breathe. If Rune's in stasis then she won't bleed or otherwise deteriorate. QED
Or she just plans on keeping her in her space prison while she looks for help. Anyway, yeah, jacking her powers probably wouldn't be great for her health.
