Star Wars The Last Hope: Rebooted, Restructured! (A CK2/Adventure Quest)

I agree with Form V over II.

I mean sure dueling for the title of Mand'alor is all well and good but I highly doubt dueling will be the majority of our combat.

Surely some versatility is good no?

Otherwise love @Luminous plan. I would very much like to play a warrior pc in a sw quest

I mean, looking at most of Star Wars, one on one duels seem like a pretty regular occurrence... but I'm sure we can overcome that issue even if we're using Form V.
Nope, learning is the same as last quest.

Good for adventures and teaching, but not much else.
Cool. In which case it's not bad to have it, but it's not the thing to make the absolute Uber-build.

I'm thinking this is actually a chance to take Juyo. For one, I never see it used in quests, and it's not specialized solely to duels. Not great with blasters though, but we'd be a wrecking machine. I want a build very similar to Luminous' with some minor changes. Might go for haughty with a heart of gold (see Caster Gilgamesh) for what I have in mind. Oh yes. That does sound delightful

[]You were a Diplomat: You have always done your best to solve the problems of the galaxy with your wits and your words. While your… figure and formlessness have given you trouble in the past, it has never stopped you from completing your duty. (You are a Jedi diplomat with a diplomatic education.)
I think you copy-pasted more than you meant to here, because this sounds like Aggaruva.

Form V (or at least its Djem So component) is considered the ideal counter to Form II.

Not sure if I want to stack that much dark side bait onto us. I'm hoping to stay Grey for the most part

Noted.

[]Plan Conscience First, Rules Later
-[]Patient: You were always one to sit and wait... and see what happens (+1 to all stats, +5 to personal Combat rolls)
-[]Kind: You always try to brighten up someone's day, even when it costs you time and energy. (+4 to diplomacy, -2 to intrigue. +5 to Diplomacy rolls on adventures.)
-[]Charitable: Outgoing and generous, this person sees their role in life is helping those in need (+3 to diplomacy, +10 to diplomacy rolls when out on adventures)
-[]Brave: This person will face their fears, and keep going into the jaws of hell. (+2 to martial and Personal combat, +1 to diplomacy. +5 to personal combat rolls during adventures.)
-[]Arbitrary: The only law that you follow is the law of your own heart. Sometimes, however, your heart and the law do not always meet eye to eye. (-3 to stewardship)
-[]Stubborn: You will never give up on what you have your mind set on something. (If you fail a roll, you get a reroll, but it suffers a -10 penalty. Bonus not applicable on adventures)
-[]Shien/Djem So (Form 5): Peace through superior firepower, a hybrid of defense and offense. (.+5 to Personal Combat. A solid +10 to defense and offense against blasters and lightsaber wielding opponents.)
-[]You were a Warrior: You were born to wield a lightsaber. Your body has been trained for battle, using force and blade alike. When conflict erupted, you were always there to face it. (You are a Jedi Battlemaster with a Martial education)

Intention with this plan to be (in addition to a good fighter) basically Screw The Rules, I'm Doing What's Right, The Character.

Let me know if you think I should change some of the Traits up to match that concept.

[]Plan: A Stubborn Warrior

-[]Diligent: You are a hard worker. When you set your mind to something, you will complete it. (+1 to all stats except personal combat. +5 to an action overlooked.)
-[]Ambitious: You have the drive to be the best in the galaxy. (+2 to all stats)
-[]Patient: You were always one to sit and wait... and see what happens (+1 to all stats, +5 to personal Combat rolls)
-[]Erudite: If there was one thing you loved, it was knowledge, and teaching those who want to learn. (+2 to learning, +10 to learning rolls. Special actions available on adventures)

-[]Proud: This person is convinced that them being or will be, the best is an indisputable fact. Any who stand in the way of this is destined to be trampled underfoot. (+15 to personal actions, -5 opinion from everyone. A danger of Falling to the Darkside)
-[]Stubborn: You will never give up on what you have your mind set on something. (If you fail a roll, you get a reroll, but it suffers a -10 penalty. Bonus not applicable on adventures)

-[]Niiman (Form 6): The balanced form of both blade and the force, it has no strengths, but it has no weaknesses either. (.+5 to Personal Combat. +5 to defense and offense, +10 when using force chained attacks)

-[]You were a Warrior: You were born to wield a lightsaber. Your body has been trained for battle, using force and blade alike. When conflict erupted, you were always there to face it. (You are a Jedi Battlemaster with a Martial education)

[] Plan: Caster Gilgamesh V 1.0
-[]Ambitious: You have the drive to be the best in the galaxy. (+2 to all stats)
-[]Just: Fairness, morality, and law. This person seeks to balance all accounts, by forgiveness and retribution alike.(+3 to Stewardship. Special Events are chosen for you on adventures.)
-[]Diligent: You are a hard worker. When you set your mind to something, you will complete it. (+1 to all stats except personal combat. +5 to an action overlooked.)
-[]Temperate: Calm, level-headed, and easy-going, this person goes with the flow of life while partaking in most things. (+2 to Stewardship, +1 to Diplomacy.)
-[]Juyo (Form 7): The aggression form, the most dangerous lightsaber style, uses emotions in battle. (.+5 to Personal Combat. A +30 to offense against opponents, a -10 against blaster opponents, A -20 against lightsaber wielders if not supplemented by another style. A danger of falling to the Darkside.)
-[]You were a Warrior: You were born to wield a lightsaber. Your body has been trained for battle, using force and blade alike. When conflict erupted, you were always there to face it. (You are a Jedi Battlemaster with a Martial education)

Okay. So. This is basically "what if we decided to make Gilgamesh a Jedi/Mandalorian." The best version of him mind you. More to this than me just wanting to conform to a role however, this build covers just about everything we need and turns us into a fiersome combatant that unleashes an unyielding onslaught against the opponent. Beyond that, it also provides him the stuff he needs to be a good leader, since I have a feeling we'll need to be able to fight personally as a Mandalorian just as much as we need to manage and delegate from a leadership role. So I didn't want to sacrifice any stat in particular. As for the darkside, we'll hopefully avoid the worst of it, but I don't have much idea how that's handled mechanically so I can only hope we'll have a choice involved on how we act, and that we can give our character a proper defense against it if it's rolls based.

[]You were a Diplomat: You have always done your best to solve the problems of the galaxy with your wits and your words. When that failed, your lightsaber worked, have gotten you out you trouble in the past, it has never stopped you from completing your duty. (You are a Jedi diplomat with a diplomatic education.)
Something still looks wrong here.

[] Plan: Jedi Shadow (Idealist)
-[]Just: Fairness, morality, and law. This person seeks to balance all accounts, by forgiveness and retribution alike.(+3 to Stewardship. Special Events are chosen for you on adventures.)
-[]Makashi (Form 2): The one on one dueling form, advanced and difficult to master. (+5 to Personal Combat. +20 to fighting a single opponent. Fighting more than 1 enemy combatant gives only a +5)
-[]You were a Jedi Shadow: You have always been known to walk in the shadows to serve the light. You have seen the grit and grime underneath the lies people tell themselves. You know the darkness of the galaxy, and how easy it is to fall into it. (You are a Jedi Shadow, with an Intrigue based education.)

For me, I can't make up my mind of the occupation. A jedi Shadow, an Agri corp overseer, diplomat, warrior, archivist. I see the cold logic in going for warrior, but it doesn't attract me. Archivist had some fun last time, so it isn't for me (learning builds are overrated). Diplomat, they are warriors, could be interesting trying to be the next Obi-wan. Agri corp and jedi Shadow. Jedi Shadow works best for this plan.

I didn't include any flaws because I chose to let everything else speak for the character. A Jedi Shadow that takes their work seriously with a sense of justice, but in the end is a loyal assassin to the Jedi's system in a changing galaxy.

I'm just avoiding anything that reminds me too much of Agguruva. So for me, learning based builds and anything with Niman are an out for me. I like to switch up my playing styles.

Hisss!

Arbitrary is super bad for anyone in a position of authority. Nothing disillusions people more than you not playing by your own rules.

I swapped out Patient for Diligent and Form II to Form V. At the same time I'd like to remind everyone that we're deployed to a four way free-for-all on Mandalore right before Order 66. We're have to fight at some point, and be very good at it. Most Jedi weren't Generals, I'd like to be the exception.

Moratorium for 3 hours.

No voting, just discussion.
Two more hours I'm afraid.

Basically interchangeable with mine so if the vote swings away from me and towards you during the vote, I'll probably hop on. For now I'm gonna keep hope for my build. I have a fondness for it.
