I don't know what the Star War-Fans obsession with making the Jedi out to be useless idiots is. They aren't.

No, they aren't going to be the main focus of this War, but claiming they won't be Heroes and valuable Allies is disingenuous at best and utterly ignorant at worst.

Well I will admit that you do make some good points @Alexander Sturnn. It's just that in this civil war it won't be solely focused on the Jedi to do miracles in military campaigns, as I'm not believing them to be idiots as we have been told by magoose that there are Jedi who are competent in being military leaders.

Ah, found them. They're a part of the 2nd Army of the Republic, 2nd Volunteer Division, as the 204th Special Operations Regiment "The Havoc Regiment".

Of kriffing course Palpy likes a back-stabbing schemer like Screamy.

Knowing Screamy he may even dabble in Sith-kriff like his counterpart did with Dark Energon in Prime like idk maybe mess with Iron Knight's sentient crystals put a red kyber crystal at his own chest.


Also....why do I feel like Grievous may decide to use Starscream as his personal punching bag like Megatron does to Starscream in every incarnation?

By this trend when Vongs invade the Galaxy half a century later they are gonna get fried as part of the reaosn why the Vong War was the most devastating war in the galaxy was due to New Republic's constant refusal to act and throwing the Jedi and Droids as sacrificial meat or in case of droids sacrificial metal once the Vongs demanded them.

But here? The moment Vongs demand Droids and Jedi they gonna have a WHOLE GALAXY pointing their blasters at them.

I may be quite vocal about my Opinions of the many Flaws of the Old EU.

However, I still recognize the stuff that was great about it.

Personally, I like to just do mix and match with both old and New Canon and puzzle them together in a personal Headcanon that makes sense to me. It's more fun that way, rather than excluding one or the other entirely.

Prime example about Stuff that was dumb about the old EU: Most writers complete ineptitude to write a conflict where the Enemy was an actual threat for any other reason than 'New Republic Leadership is dumb/apathetic/never does anything ever', and ONLY our old Heroes were remotely competent. And sometimes not even them.
It got REALLY old after the fifth time or so.

The fanfic Interregnum on AO3 I think really does a good job of fixing that, and that is something that I hope we manage to embody in this quest. The war in Part 2 is not won single-handedly by the Jedi. Heck, they mostly served to check the activities of the Sith.

It is instead won by the New Republic, by the use of sound strategy, the extraordinary skill and courage of normal, everyday individuals, and by the earnest belief in the ideals of the Republic overcoming the cynicism that defines its premature death in Legends and Canon.
