To the Wookie rebels on Kashyyyk, though your people have little reason to trust ours, know that the T'doshok Council of Clans has changed leadership, and the Blackscale Clan and other Slavers are no longer in high regard or authority, and neither is the Empire. We seek to rid our system and worlds from the Empire's grip, and would aid your people in this effort. Distrust may remain between our peoples, but for now we share a common for, and a common goal.

Such an agreement is acceptable and we would be happy to work together with you as equals.
Good, we shall finalize details, but we are glad our worlds have found accord here.

Close to the Empire? Silly Trandoshans, Navik has moved away from the Empire and makes peace with the Rebels thinking the Empire's time is done. Though we do not like Navik, we share a mutual hatred of the Empire and therefore killing Navik is not so wise just yet.
Private

There is much confusion at this time, this information is news to us, the Imperials within our system do not receive all the latest intelligence from the Core and needless to say much of what they do receive they do not share with us. This being the case we shall deal with Navik as well. If you have more to say on this subject later, be sure to keep in touch.

A disappointing but not unexpected outcome. Hzar had not placed much confidence in a positive outcome, but it was more their loss than hers. Perhaps cooler heads would prevail in the long run but Hzar had not made her plans with cooperation of the Wookies as anything like a central pillar.

"Excellent. Next, I'd like to speak about the matter of the Excecutor. As you're certainly already aware, COMPNOR has begun the process of suppressing information regarding the incident at Endor in favor of our official story. Among the details to be altered will be the destruction of Vader's Death Squadron, which will be wiped from the news. COMPNOR's current plan is to unearth the Lusankya and present it as the Excecutor following retrofits. To this end, we would like to see the remaining ships of the Death Squadron recalled to Coruscant and placed under COMPNOR's command, under the guise of the Death Squadron being transferred following Vader's death, preserving the facade of the official story."
Death Squadron can be recalled however unearthing the Lusankya...that will cause...raising it will cause significant damage to Coruscant.

"Surely there must be a way to extract it without causing such widespread damage? We can spend quite some time figuring out how, we needn't act in this immediately--for now we shall simply claim that the Excecutor is undergoing retrofits."

Captain Hux of the Explorer

---
There would be, across the Galaxy, a series of exploratory missions launched by various powers in the hopes of finding hidden bases or resource rich planets for their respective factions in the hopes of providing some sort of edge or simply resolving supply issues that have plagued some. Though on the whole, little of major importance would be found beyond a few old caches containing weapons dating as far back as the Mandalorian Wars, including the Hammerhead Class Onasi discovered by men loyal to Admiral Chart while searching for droid production facilities, the tales sent back would be worth a pretty credit in and of themselves. The most famous of these explorers who have gone out, and by far the best known, has been Captain Armitage Hux of the Explorer, a loyal officer in the Empire of the Hand, who has been one of several captains sent out into the Unknown Regions seeking out brand new worlds for the Grand Admiral and the Empire. In the six months beginning his mission, Captain Hux has discovered countless new planets, strange new flora and fauna, had illicit rendezvous with at least a dozen alien women, blown up three pirate ships, awoken and then destroyed at least one ancient evil, and developed an odd cadence when he speaks. Given the novelty of many of these encounters, word of them has spread throughout the ranks and turned Hux into a celebrity within the Imperial Navy, a status which he blessedly cannot abuse while stuck in the Unknown Regions attempting to figure out how to fornicate with a plant woman.

Summary:

Some old caches discovered across the board by those exploring.

Admiral Chart acquires the Onasi which will require repairs and refits before being put into service.

Captain Hux explores the Unknown Regions and becomes a veritable celebrity in the Imperial Navy.

We would need to clear a significant radius around the Lusankya and then unearth it so that it can be lifted out without ripping up significant portions of Coruscant which is far from an easy task given every inch of the planet is covered in skycrapers and the like. But yes, we can corroborate this and clamp down on talk of the Executor being destroyed.

"We see... we suppose this matter could be shelved for some time while we look into it, obviously the destruction of significant portions of Coruscant is a... suboptimal outcome."

"Now, for the main matter--Admiral Sloane, COMPNOR has noted in military channels that a number of high-ranking admirals have displayed significant dissent against acting Emperor Pestage... surely, you too have seen examples of the same, no?"

Such high-ranking admirals have also gone off and broken away from the Empire. Their opinion is worth little when all they seek is pretext for treason.

If this were confined to the likes of Teradoc and company, I would agree, but the problem extends much further than that. From what we've seen of MILNet communications following the Endor incident, a good portion--perhaps even a third--of the naval high ranks have expressed such seditious opinions, and given that this is just what we've observed, thrre's a good chance the problem extends much further. Surely, this must alarm you as much as us, no?

It is a cause for concern, yes, but such seditious thoughts cannot be cured simply by removing one leader.

"No, no indeed they cannot--it would be entirely inviable for us to arrest every admiral who displays such dissent, however dangerous it is. We would deplete our officer ranks in months.

Perhaps then it is time to consider an... alternative solution, wherein we might find a way to restore the military's confidence in Centre's leadership. One way or another, the fleets and Coruscant must stand united. What we suggest is the following:

COMPNOR has already put out an official story for the Emperor's death stating that a regency council will be formed to see the Empire through this period of succession. What I wish for is to structure that regency council so that the military has a strong voice upon it, so that the fleets shall be able to place their full trust and confidence in the central government. To that end, I envision a council of three seats--the first will be held by either you or some person appointed by the Admirality, the second by the Empire's ideological core in COMPNOR, and the third shall be a revival of the old ceremonial post the Grand Architect of the New Order, current vacant after the... unfortunate fate of its last holder. The Grand Architect will serve as the council's public face, performing most of the Emperor's ceremonial roles and the like, and will be some neutral figure both COMPNOR and the Admiralty can agree on.

To provide legitimacy for this council, COMPNOR has learned that an 8-year old living relative of the Emperor's, one Ederlathh Pallopides, currently lives on Naboo. She will be put forth as the next Emperor, and the Regency will rule in her stead until she reaches her majority.

Officially, this will all be in the Emperor's will--he did not, after all, actually keep one in his life, and COMPNOR is entirely in control of how this story breaks."

Battle of Raxus Prime

The Mon Calamari Star Cruiser, Squid

---
Seeking, no doubt, to secure a steady supply of metal for the shipyards of Mon Calamari, Admiral Chart has directed a Mon Calamari Fleet to Raxus Prime in the hopes of securing the scrapyard for the Rebel Alliance. Theoretically under Imperial control, it had been used to supply metals for the construction of Star Destroyers until [REDACTED] caused the destruction of facilities on the planet, Raxus Prime boasted a modest garrison as far as planets on the Outer Rim went that had already been stripped bare as Admirals and Captains slowly consolidated their forces. As a result, when Operation Garbage, it sounds far more impressive in the native tongue of the Mon Calamari, was enacted, the Rebels encountered minimal resistance over Raxus Prime with the battle being a brief affair that ended with the remnants of the Imperial garrison fleeing to Raxus Secundus where a far larger battle was underway.

The Battle of Raxus Secundus

Raxus Secundus

---
Formerly the capital of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Raxus Secundus has suffered harshly under Imperial rule with the Empire cracking down harshly on the capital of it's predecessors former arch-foe. In the years that had followed the end of the Clone Wars, thousands of the planet's former inhabitants had been arrested, never to be seen again, and the Imperial garrison had proven to be a harsh mistress with rule on the picturesque planet making it into a hell hole for it's inhabitants. The Battle of Endor, however, had served to stoke the fires of rebellion once more and when word broke out of the presence of a Rebel fleet over Raxus Prime, the people of Raxus Secundus chose to rise up against the Imperial garrison in the hopes of winning their freedom once more. Led by Geonosian known only as the Red Menace for the colour of his carapace, rebels on the planet have begun launching a series of hit and run attacks on the Imperial garrison while turning Raxulon, the planet's capital, into a battlefield with rebels and Imperials engaged in bitter street to street fighting.

Though the Rebels have yet to involve themselves, in spite of controlling the nearby planet of Raxus Prime, the weakness of the Imperial garrison and the impassioned pleas from the planet's inhabitants seems likely to win over the nearby Rebels.

Summary

Raxus Prime falls to Admiral Chart.

Raxus Secundus embroiled in an uprising. Rebels liable to intervene.

The Battle of Kamino

Admiral Betl Oxtroe

----
Hoping to make an example of one of many planets breaking away from the Galactic Empire, the Regency Council on Coruscant would choose Kamino as a very public sign of what would happen to all those who thought to rebel and leave the Empire. After some tenuous negotiations with the Empire, exacerbated by the capture of a Kaminoan starship trespassing in Imperial Space, the Empire would move in to strike with a significant complement of ships drawn from loyalist elements of the Empire, some five fleets, under the guise of picking up a shipment of clones from the Kaminoans. To say that Kamino was expecting some sort of trap on the part of the Empire would not be wrong and in the months leading up to the deal, Taun We had striven to make deals with outside powers to strengthen Kamino, going so far as to sell a significant number of clones to Drakkus the Hutt in exchange for several dreadnoughts taken from the Katana Fleet, however these preparations would prove all too insufficient to deal with the force headed her way.

Under the command of Admiral Betl Oxtroe, a capable officer and one of the few women to ascend to the heights of the Imperial Navy, the only other women known to the public being the Fleet Admiral Rae Sloane and the missing Admiral Natasi Daala, the Imperial Fleet would engage the Kaminoans in the Second Battle of Kamino after first scouting out the planet ahead of time. Content that there were no unwelcome surprises lurking around the corner, the Imperial Fleet would jump in over the planet and engage the waiting, but not wholly prepared, Kaminoans who were still expecting the Empire to come to collect their clones. Aboard the ISD Phelar, so named for her hometown on Eriadu, Admiral Oxtroe would oversee the decimation of the Kamonioan Fleet which would ultimately be obliterated in spite of it's valiant efforts to hold off the Empire and the extraordinary efforts of those clones pressed into service by their creators. The dreadnoughts taken by the Katana Fleet would prove a tougher nut to crack and twice as many Imperial Star Destroyers would be downed or crippled by the dreadnoughts however the end result would be the same and with their destruction, Kamino would be laid bare to the Empire.

What would follow, however, would be far less clear cut than the battle in the space above.

A crack squad of commandos loyal to Grand Moff Zsinj would, according to the intelligence provided to Director Isard, conduct operations planet-side and purportedly make off with information regarding the cloning process as well as several Kaminoan scientists involved in the planet's laboratories. Though there is no proof that might corroborate this sequence of events, the chaos of the battle made it all but impossible for Imperial Intelligence to be certain, Imperial Intelligence remains quite sure of this sequence of events.

At the same time, disputes would arise between alien officers underneath Grand Admiral Thrawn, whose Empire of the Hand had adopted a very lenient policy towards the recruitment of aliens, and the rest of the Imperial Fleet which remains at odds with the more liberal policies of the Grand Admiral. With Human High Culture remaining popular within the Imperial Fleet, many an officer would voice concerns over working alongside "alien scum" and there have been numerous accounts of officers purposefully withholding support to Thrawn's forces, accounts which suggest that the ISD Relentless would have survived the battle had proper support been provided by the Captain of the ISD Vengeance. This has only further compounded issues elsewhere in the Empire with many calling on action to be taken against Thrawn for breaking Imperial policy while Thrawn has found himself petitioned by his officers to never place them under the command of anyone outside of the Empire of the Hand again due to fears of persecution.

These issues, however, would not save Kamino from the planetary bombardment to come and with casual Imperial brutality, the Imperial Fleet would lay waste to the planet's cloning facilities, specifically targeting anything that might be used in the production of further clones so as to prevent Kamino from posing a threat in the future. Once this was done, the Imperial Fleet then promptly left, their job done, while the Kaminoans were forced to pick up the pieces and try and salvage the horrible situation they had been left in.

Summary

Kaminoan Fleet and Katana Fleet Dreadnoughts (4) destroyed over Kamino at a cost to the Empire. Losses heaviest for Thrawn's forces on the Imperial side.

Grand Moff Zsinj's fleet quietly retrieves data on cloning and several scientists for his pet projects. Imperial Intelligence suspects, but cannot prove, that this indeed occurred.

Tensions arise within the Imperial Fleet with the alien heavy forces under Thrawn chafing with the human-centric Imperial Navy. Both sides calling for their leaders to do something about the other.

Kamino bombarded from orbit. Cloning facilities destroyed and Kamino rendered harmless.

The Maldrood Campaign

Treuten Teradoc

---
At the same time, Grand Admiral Grunger would embark on a campaign of his own to uproot and take over those territories hold by Treuten Teradoc. Doing so nominally at the behest of the Empire, though many harbored suspicions that Grunger was merely using Imperial legitimacy as a cloak to mask his own ambitions, Grunger would lead his fleets into the Greater Maldrood and do battle with the Teradoc Brother while the Galaxy burned down around them. Though lacking the expected assistance from Grand Moff Zsinj, who would point to his commitments at Onderon and Kamino as an explanation as to why he could not spare the manpower, Grunger would push on ahead and engage Teradoc's forces at Gala, where he would score an early victory, and then again at Columex where Teradoc committed a sizeable contingent of his forces in order to hold the valuable trade world against Grunger's advances.

For the time being, Columex has held out against Grunger's attempts to take it and may continue to do so for some time without assistance from the Empire or clever and underhanded thinking from the Grand Admiral.

Summary

Grunger takes Gala before being stopped at Columex.

Expected support from Zsinj fails to materialize.

The Grand Moff Moves

Grand Moff Zsinj

---
Being one of the more capable figures in the Empire, the Grand Moff's efforts to secure his own territories in the wake of a general collapse of Imperial authority has been of a more subtle kind. Taking his fleet, the Grand Moff has taken a tour of his sector and made a very public show of force both to reassure his supports and subjects, who by and large are content with his rule, and to dissuade Rebel incursions. At the same time as his tour, the Grand Moff has also taken it upon himself to rather brutally crack down on internal dissent with his fleet, even as it flew around assuaging the worries of his subjects, putting down several pockets of resistance and even valiantly, as in broadcasted on the HoloNet in the most flattering terms, restoring order to the lawless Onderon which was in the throes of anarchy until the Grand Moff came in to save the day. To the ruling elites, this propaganda has proven easy to see through and few genuinely believe half of the propaganda emerging from Zsinj's machine however the common man has not and for many, Zsinj has begun to be seen as a symbol of the Empire's enduring strength and of a brighter future.

Summary

Zsinj locks down most of his territory, pacifies Onderon, and begins crafting a finely tuned propaganda machine for his own benefit.

In lesser news, Zsinj is named the Grand-Protector of Obroa-skai by it's inhabitants after a fleet loyal to the Grand Moff paid the planet a friendly visit.

The Liberation of Naboo

Garm Bel Iblis

---
Not one to be edged out by the Imperials, Garm Bel Iblis has reminded the Galaxy of just who the real Rebel is with a daring assault on Naboo. Coming at a time when the people of Naboo were engaged in an unsuccessful insurrection, Garm Bel Iblis' initial plan to launch a hit and run assault on the planet would swiftly evolve into a full scale campaign after it became apparent that the Imperials could be uprooted from the system. Working together with local rebels on the ground, Garm Bel Iblis' forces would engage the Imperial fleet in orbit around Naboo while ferrying supplies and officers to the surface where they would link up with Rebels on the ground and help coordinate their efforts. With Imperial control of Naboo as tenuous as it was, the planet would ultimately be liberated after a brief but bitter campaign be liberated thanks the combined efforts of the Nubians and Garm Bel Iblis, a fact that did not go unrewarded with Garm Bel Iblis being named an honorary Prince of Naboo to commemorate his contribution.

On a lesser note, elements of the 181st Imperial Fighter Wing, led by Baron Soontir Fel, would quickly lead a strike into the Naboo System after word broke of the assault on the planet at the behest of Fleet Admiral Sloane and, using their newly acquired TIE Defenders, rescue Ederlathh Pallopides before the planet fell. The sole surviving relative of Emperor Palpatine has since been spirited away to the Fleet Admiral's flagship for her own safety.

Summary

Garm Bel Iblis saves the day and helps liberate Naboo.

Ederlatth Pallopides rescued by Soontir Fel and now under Rae Sloane's protection.

Yesterday the people of Naboo made a choice. They made the choice to take a stand, to reject the status quo and go a different path. They chose to fight against the Imperial system, a system that has used the promise of peace and stability as a cover for exploitation, corruption, and a callous disregard for the lives of it's citizens to benefit a few Moffs. The home system of former Emperor Palpatine has rejected his vision, and I am honored to have been able to assist in their liberation.

This is the choice that systems all across the galaxy are faced with, the choice to fight or to stand by. The Empire is crumbling, and the Long Night is coming to an end. Even if you do not pick up a blaster, the smallest show of resistance could make a large impact. Together, we can bring a new Dawn to the galaxy.

Additionally, we'd like the Drive Yards to explore the construction of a Defender variant with altered-spec avionics and no hyperdrive--it should be cheaper than the original specs and thus easier to mass-produce

Coup on Coruscant

Director Isard and Acting-Emperor Pestage

---
Kamino, Naboo, Maldrood, all of these conflicts would prove to be little more than appetisers for the main event on Coruscant. With many on the Ruling Council seeking to affect change in the Galactic Empire to suit their needs, rifts had begun to surface between it's membership with Sate Pestage, the Acting-Emperor, finding himself on the out as a result. Though the former Grand Vizier had served the Emperor faithfully since the foundation of the Empire, Pestage lacked the social grace and cunning to survive in the cutthroat world of Imperial politics and therefore was seen as an impediment to anyone hoping to seize control of the Empire. Led by Director Ysanne Isard, these factions began to move to quietly force Pestage into retirement whilst simultaneously placing the eight year old Ederlath Pallopides on the Imperial Throne as a pliable puppet to serve as a figurehead while they themselves ruled the Empire from behind the scenes. To that end, Fleet Admiral Rae Sloane would secure the Pallopides, thereby denying Isard control of the future Empress, while Isard would set in motion events on the ground with COMPNOR preparing to seize control of the Imperial Palace and Sate Pestage in order to ensure his compliance.

Before the Ruling Council could enact the next step, however, Sate Pestage displayed a rare flicker of courage and, knowing full well that someone wanted him out of the picture, chose to act. With the Imperial Guard and several Admirals in his pocket, the most notable of which was Teren Rogriss who remained close by at the Acting-Emperor's request, Pestage would make an effort to arrest those who posed a threat to him. Accusing them of treason, spurred on by Carnor Jax who had assumed control of the Imperial Guard and attached himself to the Acting-Emperor, Pestage would attempt to have the Ruling Council arrested in the hopes of securing his own position and consequently managed to unleash hell on Coruscant. Disinclined to allow Pestage to have her arrested, Director Isard would countermand his orders and declare him a traitor instead, timing the accusation with the release of the Emperor's "will", which named Pallopides his heir, to provide an heir of legitimacy to her actions, which sparked all out war on the planet.

Forces on Coruscant would fracture as conflicting orders forced everyone to pick sides, something which resulted in the Coruscant Security Forces having a civil war of their own as the lower ranking officers threw in with Isard while the senior leadership backed Pestage, and saw fighting break out on Coruscant itself. In the space above, Admiral Teren Rogriss would find himself engaged in a losing battle with Fleet Admiral Rae Sloane who, though painfully slow in ferrying reinforcements down to the planet surface, made it a point to put down her competition over Coruscant. The Imperial Palace, meanwhile, would become the focus for much of the fighting with Stormtroopers, CompForce, and the Imperial Guard clashing bloodily in the halls and corridors of the sprawling palace.

The battle would inevitably turn in favour of the Ruling Council with superior numbers and morale winning the day and forcing Pestage, who had planned for this eventuality, fleeing with what remained of the Imperial Guard and Admiral Rogriss' fleet to Cilpar where Moff Boren Tascl would receive the Acting-Emperor with open arms.

Summary

Ruling Council plots to overthrow Pestage but are preempted by the Acting-Emperor who attempts to launch a coup of his own.

Fighting breaks out on Coruscant between those loyal to Pestage and to the Ruling Council.

Pestage flees to Cilpar, leaving Coruscant to the Ruling Council.

The Rise of the Warlords

Admiral Eden

---
Although some would attempt to blame the coup on Coruscant for the period that was to follow, it is worth nothing that it only served to exacerbate tensions within the Galactic Empire. Built upon the rotten foundations of the Galactic Republic and structured around one all-powerful Emperor, and a Sith Lord at that, the Empire had never been a stable entity. Even at it's zenith, the Moffs did as they pleased, bureaucrats blew up planets to get back at rivals, and the Admirals bickered and feuded all the while fighting over the Emperor's favour. With the Emperor's death at the Battle of Endor, it was inevitable that the structure would begin to give way which was why the days following Endor, men such as the Teradoc Brothers and Blitzer Harrsk would carve out their own independent states the moment they were sure that the Emperor was gone. The Coup on Coruscant, while certainly a dramatic event, as a consequence did little more than provide a thin film of justification to those officers and bureaucrats seeking for an excuse, any excuse, to do the same and break away from the Empire.

On Eriadu, Sander Delvardus would establish the Eriadu Authority, Delak Krennel would name himself a Prince-Admiral and go about doing his own thing, Fonada, Sarnor, and many more Admirals and Moffs would do likewise and break off bits and pieces of the Empire as it suited them. Even the most loyal members of the Empire, Kaine and Zsinj, would become warlords in all but name with both of the powerful men holding near absolute authority over their own holdings and the loyalty of most those ships under their control. For the Empire, it would be a nightmare with fears of a complete breakdown becoming all too real and an unexpected blessing with one warlord, Admiral Eden, inadvertently killing a vengeful Emperor Palpatine after taking over Byss and discovering the Sith Lord in his new clone body shortly before ordering his Stormtroopers to wipe out the facility and put the Emperor down for good. For the Rebel Alliance, it would be a stroke of fortune with the Empire no longer in a position to hunt them down now that it was forced to deal with those warlords hoping to break away at the Empire's expense.

Summary

More Warlords surface as the Empire fractures further.

Emperor Palpatine killed again...and again...and again by Admiral Eden after the warlord seized Byss.
