What does Surveillance have on the current status of the Kuari Princess?
University of Northeastern Coruscant sociology professor Loran Maewen and Coalition for Progress member recently submitted a paper exploring a reform of the Empire's sapient policy, suggesting that certain "loyal" species, which have proven themselves to be "sister races" of humanity in both biological similarity and mindset, ought to be rewarded collectively. This is, of course, buried in a much larger paper that mostly has to do with reducing a number of supposed rebel sympathizer populations to the official status of second-class citizens, but it is there, and it's that particular excerpt that seems to gain broader reporting on Holonet News and Imperial Holovision. That such a paper was allowed to pass through COMPNOR-controlled journals and COMPNOR-controlled news suggests that they had a hand in such a thing.
Incidentally, Professor Maewen is also an IDL Legionnaire, and the paper seems to have gained some traction in those circles as well.
In an entirely unrelated development, COMPNOR announces its intention to create an "Order of Fealty and Brotherhood" honor, which will supposedly be bestowed upon those peoples of the Empire who have proven themselves to be loyal to the New Order and be associated with a few small benefits (these look suspiciously like minor affirmative action measures designed to help said species enter education and the military with somewhat less disadvantage vis a vis humans than other species). It's announced that the first recipients of this award will be the Chiss within the Empire, in recognition of the valor of servicemen like Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Sloane could feel the oppressive grandeur of the room in her bones. She'd left command at Corellia to Gilad for this little jaunt, and it had been an exercise in will to stop thinking about her men and the ongoing operations. Each step up came with sacrifice, she knew that, and the only path open to her now lay within the throne room of the Imperial Palace.
Deep red carpet covered the long walk from the door to the steep stairs below the dais. The afternoon sun streamed in through the oculus beyond the throne, blinding her momentarily like the flash of a reactor explosion or torpedo strike but neither she nor her companion flinched. It was odd, escorting a woman by all rights her superior to an Empress she had set upon the throne. There was likely a joke in it somewhere, the supreme Commander of Imperial forces with a fleet admiral's bars on her jacket and a countess who was certainly no such thing.
Sloane came to a halt a meter short of the steps and glanced up at the looming throne, the towering guards, and the precious, tiny girl they had rested their hopes for the future on. She knelt, a bit stiffly from the travel and watch upon watch over the flames of Corellia.
"Your Imperial Majesty, may I present Countess Claria."
Blessedly the Fleet Admiral did not think to call the Galactic Empress, who was currently this odd bundle of pink and frills sitting atop a throne that had not been designed to accommodate throw pillows, a travesty to be sure, tiny to her face as such things would not do. It wasn't necessarily a crime punishable by death, though if she ordered it, the Imperial Guardsmen could admittedly have Sloane's head removed, fluffed, and on a platter within a standard minute, but that didn't mean it should be done under any circumstances.
Although technically given the Empress did a lot of things that weren't done, like ignoring the corrupting influence of a palace literally bathed in the Dark Side or not wearing nothing but black with ebony accents, she was in no position to criticise the hypothetical use of the term tiny in reference to her Imperial persons.
Ahem.
Tininess aside, Ederlathh seemed thoroughly interested in the so called Countess, peering at her intently, while waiting for someone to tell her what precisely she was supposed to do under such circumstances as, alas, no one had covered "Greeting the Emperor's Hand 101" in between the intense physical training, systemic abuse the Empire believed counted as a healthy education, and all around ill-suited cheeriness.
Sloane remained kneeling, but she was staring to feel it in her hamstring. There was a pregnant pause, then an awkward silence, and finally a horrible nothingness as she shut her eyes and held back a deep sigh.
"Your grand uncle's Hand your Imperial Majesty. There was a report, the Exodus, her technical specifications and..."
Sloane looked up at the throne and the guards studying then shrewdly to try and pick out if Kanos was behind one of those masks. "You should have been informed. She will report only to you, and while we failed to secure the vaultship, it's crew and the Countess were retrieved without too much harm."
Well, aside from the numerous deaths as a result of the Rebel bombardment but what are a few dead civilians between enemies?
"Oh. Her." Ederlathh replied, nodding her head thoughtfully. "I...We are very pleased to receive you here." She said to Mara who clearly was trying to process a master who wasn't overtly evil, shooting lightning from their fingertips, and ordering executions every other sentence.
Getting a line to Thrawn the instant I'm out of here, Sloane thought. He'd have people to round her out, and there had to be someone to shore up her manner and comportment in the mean time, and...
She's only eight, no, nine now. What were you doing at nine girl? Dreaming of the stars and trying to run away?
She hadn't been an Empress though. Billions of lives didn't rest in her soft little palm. Her leg was starting to cramp.
"Director Isard and myself thought it best she join the rest of your tutors for now, just to get familiar. And...there's the matter of your birthday...And your presents."
That caused her face to light up immediately and saw the Empress lean forward in her seat, nearly on the edge of slipping off it in fact, as she looked at Sloane with great interest. "Aaaand?"
The admiral coughed, "The Moffs have sent various tokens of their loyalty and respect. There are some well made droids, clothing, various delicacies and the like that are undergoing screening before they're brought to you and from the High Command..."
She slowly pulled a projector from her pocket and flicked it on. The huge, bluish shape of a Super Star Destroyer flickered up above her as countless drones and utility craft scuttled across its surface.
"The Aramadia, recaptured from the aliens that revolted in Sector Six and undergoing repairs and retrofitting to update her systems. She's being rechristened the Imperatrix, flagship of the your first Guard fleet."
"Ooh, it'll go great with all the other ones I have on my...our wall."
"Your wall is acceptable. Not all monarchs use the same styles and flourishes as your homeworld's princes. It would be better to speak firmly than constantly self-correct."
Finally convinced the girl would never catch the hint, and positive that Kanos was up there and grimming at her growing discomfort, Sloane barked a little.
"It is also gracious to remember to allow your men or servants to stand or fall at ease when having long conversations."
"Why would we want you to fall? Surely falling would make it uncomfortable to keep talking and we'd rather not have to loom over you if you fell on the floor." Ederlathh answered, definitely not putting it on.
"Quite."
Gritting her teeth a bit, the admiral straightened up and eased complaining muscles in to place.
"I appreciate the lack of looming, though slightly more gravitas and attention would be welcome. I'm afraid I have nothing else for you, I presume you are attending to your lessons and will listen to what Countess Claria has to say?"
"Of course, we are paying keen attention to our lessons, are we not, Kir Kanos?" She asked of the Imperial Guardsmen to her immediate right who nodded. "Kir Kanos has been teaching us the Echani method of fighting."
"Do you enjoy it?"
An old Echani poem she'd heard in her academy days swam up to the surface with a tone deaf burble.
Lifesblood is red
And shield fields are blue
You may slash me
But I will break you
Echani poetry had always been strange as evidenced by "Personal shields, I love you so.. crafting and fighting with you… exhilarates me. You are the MAIN focus of my life… (except for my melee weapons and armor)… I love you so."
"We find it enjoyable if difficult. We should find ourselves to continue practicing it for the foreseeable future as a result."
"It is good to cultivate one's interests and maintain physical activity. I quite enjoyed boxing when I was younger, not as young as you, though I didn't have such excellent teachers."
Or rather, Sloane didn't have such exceedingly high expectations placed upon her shoulders that an overburdened curriculum had to be thrust onto her shoulders just so that she could be presentable for an Empire that expected her to be everything from a space-wizard to an eccentric madman with a fondness for superweapons.
"We agree and our teacher's excellent even if they barely ever talk except for when they are hitting us about the head with sticks."
Sloane's ever present glare hardened a little at Kanos.
"Not to the point of damaging the royal brain I would hope. And your other lessons?"
It was as much for her as it was for the Countess to come up to speed with her charge's progress on the path to Royalty.
"Well." Ederalthh informed her.
"I am sure Kir Kanos is taking all due diligence when it comes to the Empress' training and is no doubt far more gentle with her than he was with me." Mara noted, cutting in politely. "Or Lord Vader was for that matter."
"I can imagine my lady. No offense meant, but the Regency Council does need to ensure we have an able, well schooled Empress to stand behind when she reaches her majority, or some might accuse us of some form of tyranny by committee."
She looked back up at Ederlathh.
"Is there anything you need in the meantime? If Director Isard has already been informed I can confer with her while you make the Countess' acquaintance."
"We do not require anything further."
Sloane snapped to attention, "I'll take my leave then. Have a pleasant evening Majesty."
"And you as well, Fleet Admiral." Ederlathh replied cheerily.
There was a slight hitch in her step as Sloane caught her lord and master's call on the way out the door but she soldiered on, back in to the city and her war.
The mere act of founding the New Republic, though monumental to be sure, would not be an end to the Rebellion. Even with the New Republic establishing itself on Eriadu, there remained an Empire to defeat, a vast swathe of territory all across the Galaxy to administer, taxes to collect, and a bureaucracy to reform, tasks that the New Republic would have to quickly shape up to if it was to survive. Therefore, under the leadership of Chief-of-State Mon Mothma, the New Republic would do just that and would, in the earliest days of it's existence, go about the task of forging a state capable of standing the test of time. Leaving Fleet Admiral Gial Ackbar to coordinate the New Republic's military efforts across the Galaxy, it would be Mon Mothma who would buckle down to the task of building a government, a task which she would, by all accounts, succeed at with flying colours.
Calling the Galactic Senate together for the first time, in a widely broadcasted event shown all across the New Republic, Mon Mothma would craft for herself a team of politicians, former officers, and experts in various fields to aid her in building the New Republic. Some would be well known heroes within the New Republic, Lando Calrissian and Borsk Fey'la being amongst the noteworthy, whilst others would be more contentious such as the Imperial ace and newly elected Senator from Eriadu, Shea Hublin, whose loyalty had gone from the Empire to the New Republic along with his adoptive home. For all the controversy incurred by those named by the Chief-of-State, there was little doubting their experience nor their ability to contribute to the New Republic if properly harnessed by someone used to managing conflicting personalities and herding cats.
Establishing the General Ministry, which contained everything from the Ministry of War to the Ministry of Science, it would be the task of these individuals to craft from the Rebellion's own bureaucracy and the Imperial bureaucracy a new system through which the New Republic might be managed efficiently without the constant infighting that plagued the Empire. Various departments and offices would be merged together, the responsibilities of the ministries clearly outlined, and the beginnings of a competent bureaucracy laid down under the leadership of each respective member of Mon Mothma's cabinet. It would be during this initial period that the two most powerful figures beneath Mon Mothma herself would be identified with Borsk Fey'la, who took over the Ministry of Intelligence, and Shea Hublin, the Ministry of War, establishing reputations for themselves as competent and efficient officials.
At the same time, in the New Republic Senate, Mon Mothma would work to ensure that the ills of the Old Republic would never be repeated again. Term limits would be established for the Chief-of-State, with only a single six year term being permitted, and constitutional barriers to so called "emergency powers" being put in place to prevent another Palpatine from ever again seizing control of the Republic. For many, this move in particular would assuage many a fear with even Garm Bel Iblis pausing for the slightest of moments at the news, largely because his crew is now urging him to link up with the New Republic in the hopes of liberating Corellia, as concerns over the return of tyranny gave many cause for concern. Though the youth of the New Republic means that only time will truly convince those on the fence, this initial move does mean that many are now inclined to view the New Republic favourably.
Summary
Mon Mothma assembles a team to help build the New Republic.
General Ministry established and looking downright competent.
Borsk Fey'la and Shea Hublin establish themselves as the biggest movers in Mon Mothma's cabinet.
Term limits established, Mon Mothma confirms she'll stand only for six years.

While nominally reasonable, the last time we dealt with your people we were cheated after fulfilling our end of the bargain. I will require some assurance that these worlds exist, and that you will not backstab us or cheat us after we uphold our end, before we continue negotiations.
Secret: We... understand the reluctance. We'll provide you the survey locations of these worlds--you can send ships to investigate yourself to confirm these systems' existence, with an escort of course. As for the matter of trust, perhaps some form of deposit could be arranged?
Though the treacherous Sate Pestage had been dispatched and that particular thorn removed from the Empire's side, there still remained the issue that was Blitzer Harrsk and his presence in the Core Worlds which, if allowed to persist, could very well pose a threat to the Imperial Center itself. With all hope of peacefully subduing Blitzer Harrsk having gone out the window around the same time as his sanity, with the Admiral having gone quite literally mental at the Battle of Endor, it would fall to Grand Admiral Grant to subdue the renegade warlord and protect the Empire's hold in the Core Worlds. As the Admiral still possessed a considerable force, the Harrsk Campaign would not be an easy one for the Grand Admiral even with the addition of two Super Star Destroyers, the SSDs Aggressor and Whelm, to his already substantial fleet.
To begin with, Grand Admiral Grant would first direct several ships towards Ghorman, which would swiftly submit to the Grand Admiral due to the Moff's unwillingness to invoke the ire of a man with two Super Star Destroyers, so as to secure a launching pad from which a future campaign into New Republic Space could be launched. It would be during this time that Blitzer Harrsk, knowing full well what was coming his way, would first strike with the Admiral launching a surprise attack on Fondor in order to disrupt Grant's forces and buy him the time he needed for his own plans. In a desperate battle in which Grant was caught off-guard, the SSD Aggressor would be destroyed and Admiral Roek killed whilst the Aggressor was still undergoing repairs along with several other Imperial Star Destroyers before Harrsk jumped out of the system and back towards Abregado-Rae.
Knocked back but still undeterred, Grand Admiral Grant would proceed ahead with his plans to put down Harrsk with those forces still at his command and would consequently proceed to mop up the outlying systems under the Admiral's command. The first two planets hit by the Grand Admiral's fleets, Cilpar and Belgaroth, would fall quickly enough with Blitzer Harrsk having left behind minimal garrisons as he slowly withdrew back towards Abregado-Rae following his surprise attack on Fondor. It would be at this point that Grant would begin to suspect that something was off with the Attack on Fondor and now Harrsk's complete unwillingness to engage tipping the Grand Admiral to the fact that something was off which would prompt him to send a small force ahead to ascertain the state of the Admiral's forces.
This, it would turn out, would be a very wise decision.
Reports sent back by the force sent ahead to scout out Blitzer Harrsk's position would paint a very dire picture. Instead of the mere three fleets, at the most, that the Admiral was originally believed to have, Blitzer Harrsk had managed to pull together a total of five fleets and was waiting to ambush Grant with his superior numbers. To put it bluntly, this would be a major surprise not only to Grand Admiral Grant but to the Empire as a whole and the revelation would be enough to throw the Imperial Centre into a spin as Imperial Intelligence was worked to the bone figuring out where the hell Harrsk had gotten the two extra fleets. Faced with an enemy with superior firepower, the Grand Admiral would choose to make a tactical withdrawal and abandon his conquests in an effort to goad Harrsk into being the first one to act.
Whether it was pride or mere confidence in his position, Blitzer Harrsk would take the bait and quickly retake those worlds briefly lost to him before following Grant to Giju where it seemed as though the Grand Admiral was struggling to hold his fleets together. At least six Imperial Star Destroyers would leave Giju before Blitzer Harrsk's arrival, purportedly disheartened by his numbers and unwilling to risk destruction at his hands, whilst the SSD Whelm had withdrawn entirely, apparently recalled by Grand Moff Kaine after learning the extent of Harrsk's power. In the eyes of Blitzer Harrsk, it was both an affirmation of his superiority and a target waiting to be knocked out and so he fell upon Giju, all too eager to secure his position in the region and brush away Grant so that he might take Fondor for himself.
Too eager by far.
Jumping into the system personally, Blitzer Harrsk would fail to notice, as he fell upon the Imperials, that for a force on the verge of breaking that Grant's fleet worked and fought with the discipline and cohesion expected of vessels under the command of someone who expected perfection in his forces. Nor would Harrsk notice a lone Interdictor as it activated it's gravity well and, to his horror, allow those forces, including the SSD Whelm, that had purportedly fled to jump back into the system and attack at the Admiral's rear. Trapped in the system and pinned between Grant and the Whelm, Harrsk would find his forces decimated, ship after ship going down as the Super Star Destroyer poured turbolaser fire onto his forces, even as he struggled in vain to escape from the trap Grant had laid for him.
More than just a little bit pleased at the sight of a Blitzer Harrsk flailing about helplessly, trapped and fated to die, it is said that Grand Admiral Grant drank his finest wine as he watched the Admiral's flagship go up in flames, torn apart by the SSD Whelm, and his erstwhile rival for the Tapani Sector was killed. A significant portion of Blitzer Harrsk's fleet would also meet the same fate as the Admiral as the Grand Admiral mopped up the remnants though a timely strike on the Interdictor keeping them contained in the system would allow a few ships to flee the battle and disappear into the Deep Core. With the Admiral dead, Grant would then swiftly retake most of those worlds captured by Harrsk, moving back into Cilpar and Belgaroth before finally seizing Abregado-Rae which would represent the extent of Grant's territory at the end of 5ABY.
Cortina and Gama, the last of those planets held by Blitzer Harrsk, would themselves fall under the sway of a new warlord, calling himself Bulwark Rar, who appears to be holding the planets using a fleet provided by an as of yet unknown backer who may or may not be the same backer who supported Blitzer Harrsk as well.

Professor Trask Ulgo
---
On Taris, in a welcome break from the usual monotony of murder, conquest, and maniacal laughter, Professor Trask Ulgo has caused something of a stir in the academic community after claiming that several pyramidal structures found on Dathomir are, in fact, landing pads constructed by a long-dead race of aliens. Well known for his eccentric theories and focus on a so called "Precursor Race" which Ulgo claims once ruled significant portions of the known galaxy, the Professor's theories would be laughed at once more by his peers though they would, for once, find purchase with someone more important than a mere professor. Hoping to expand the Empire's knowledge of the galaxy and of it's past, Grand Moff Zsinj would choose to provide patronage to Ulgo and several other archaeologists in the hopes that they, through the course of their explorations, might find something of value to the Empire.
Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, Ulgo would seize upon the opportunity and swiftly prepare an expedition to Dathomir hoping to use the Grand Moff's patronage as a way of confirming his theories. Suffice it to say that after being captured by the Nightsisters, and later freed thanks to the intervention of a rival clan led by a Teneniel Djo who agreed to assist Ulgo in his expedition out of sense of boredom and curiosity, the Professor would find the proof that he needed. On Dathomir, Ulgo would discover the remains of a vast temple complex the locals called a "Star Temple" believed to have carried mythical beings to Dathomir from faraway lands which supported Ulgo's own theories on the structures though the destruction of said Star Temple made confirmation nearly impossible.
Undeterred, the Professor would establish a camp at the Star Temple and, over the course of several months, begin the process of investigating and cataloguing just about everything in sight with the Professor and his newest assistant, and later wife, pouring over the Star Temple and it's remains. For obvious reasons, much of what has been discovered on Dathomir has caused something of a stir back in the Empire though many historians and scholars still dispute the idea that the Star Temple had been constructed by aliens, let alone a Precursor Race, and instead believe it proof that the Witches of Dathomir descend from some civilisation struck by a cataclysmic event in the distant past. Undeterred, the Professor has announced his intention to launch a second expedition into the Esstran Sector hoping to find more concrete evidence to back up his claims, an expedition backed by the Grand Moff who holds high hopes for Ulgo and his explorations.
We have today won a great victory over our foul foes, the madmen and traitors under the late Admiral Harrsk. Another foe of peace and order is struck from the pages of galactic history, and we stand poised to strike against the infernal rebellion and the traitorous warlords.
Yet we can not be to overjoyed, today. Many brave soldiers and sailors fell in battle that day. Heroes all, from TIE fighter pilots, to tractor beam engineers, to bridge officers, the brave human men of the Empire fought like lions, bringing down hundreds of foes before there ships were overwhelmed. Their fates will recorded and taught in Anaxes and Presfbelt for hundreds of years to come. Admiral Roek is a true hero of the Empire.
Even our foe should be remembered well. Before he was the madman we fought against today, Blitzer Harrsk was a hero, masterfully defeating the Seperatist holdouts at Clindaras IX, and the saving the hostages of the New Waymancers. Remember him as he was, not as the man we killed.
The crewmen of the SSD Aggressor, living and dead, are to be issued the Imperial Medal of Valor, and I have personally endowed the Roek Memorial Wing of the Grant Libraries on Esstalle Island, Procopia.
Grand Admiral Octavian Grant, Lord of House Mecetti of Tapani, Supreme Marshal of the Tapani Home Defense Fleet (ret.), Hero of the Galactic Empire
One of the greatest mysteries that plagued the Empire in the wake of the Battle of Endor would be that of the Deep Core. Originally only sparsely settled during the days of the Old Republic, it would not be until the formation of the Galactic Empire that a concerted effort would be made under Emperor Palpatine to not only explore the Deep Core but also to colonise it. Using Empress Teta as a launching pad, countless missions would be launched into the Deep Core mapping out new worlds, from the habitable to the uninhabitable, of which several, including Prakith and Byss, would become known to those high up in the Imperial Government. For the Emperor, the Deep Core was uncharted territory, a blank slate from which he might craft a new Empire, and as such, all future Imperial activities in the Deep Core would reflect that attitude on the Emperor's part. Countless worlds would be erased from all records to ensure secrecy, a complex net of gravity wells, sensors, and patrols established to ensure security, artificial hyperspace lanes to control access to planets, and numerous colonists dispatched to lay down the foundations of the Emperor's most secretive project.
Such was the level of secrecy ascribed to the Deep Core by the Emperor that the first that figures such as Director Ysanne Isard would hear of worlds such as Byss would be in relation to the defection of several warlords who had sought to carve out their own fiefdoms, the most noteworthy of which being the then Admiral Eden. An enigmatic figure, all that would be known of Admiral Eden at the time of his break with the Empire would be his unremarkable record, that nevertheless qualified him for a command post over Byss, his tastes in women, and that he was married to a former captain and had adopted seven children with him. Such a lack of information was, however, to be expected as most of those officers who had been cleared to serve in the Emperor's many pet projects were often ones whose histories had been wiped away to ensure secrecy. The Closure of the Deep Core, an event referring to the reactivation of the security network that cut off the Deep Core after the Battle of Endor, would only further compound the mystery around figures such as Eden and the Deep Core as a whole for with the closure came nothing but silence.
Only the acquisition of Empress Teta would manage to crack open that veil of secrecy, even if only slightly, with the densely populated ecumenopolis proving far more difficult to cut off than originally anticipated on account of the heavy traffic and the fact that the security net did not adequately cover the system. With that crack came dribs and drabs of information, of vast fleets at the command of the Executor, of strange religions and foreboding prophets, and of a mailed fist that was squeezing the Deep Core and holding it close, reluctant and unwilling to relax it's grip for even a second. Even this, however, revealed little of the Executor and his Empire and as such, it would not be until the Prakith Report that a proper look would be had into Eden's Empire and some understanding of just what Eden's intentions were would be found.
If such a thing were even truly desired by the Empire.
Originally posted to Prakith by Imperial Intelligence to keep an eye on the local Moff, the agent responsible for the Prakith Report remains as much an enigma to the Empire as the rest of Imperial Intelligence does. Nothing is known of his background or his history, his likes and dislikes are a mystery, and there remains no knowledge of any significant others or family members who might care were he to ever go missing. All that is known of him, like so many of his peers, is his record which speaks of a competent and dedicated operative who goes above and beyond the call of duty for the sake of the Empire and of an agent who, like so many others, vanished once Eden took over the Deep Core. For more than a year, there was little more than silence from the agent with no reports reaching the Imperial Center and no contact being made with the agent in turn, with the Deep Core cut off, it was merely assumed that the agent was lost to the Empire and either dead, captured, or worse, a defector.
Upon receiving the Prakith Report, a voluminous document containing over a year's worth of observations and intelligence, it would become apparent what had happened to the agent with the report itself reading more and more as a record of their time in the Deep Core with every page. Having originally been stationed on Prakith, the agent would be present for Eden's arrival over the planet some time after the Battle of Endor and for his annexation of Prakith itself, an affair that saw the previous Moff executed on the spot and his subordinates purged of those the Admiral deemed unworthy. The agent would be folded into Eden's forces at the same time, given the option between joining the Moff in death or serving the Empire, and would from then on be tasked with carrying out missions at the Admiral's behest. From this point on, the Prakith Report reads as both a record of the agent's time with Eden and of the state of his Empire, as mentioned, before finally ending with several incoherent phrases.
Over the course of nearly a year and a half of work, the agent would participate in countless missions beginning with what appeared to be a decidedly routine purge of untrustworthy or merely unworthy members of the bureaucracy. Officials suspected of embezzlement and corruption or officers believed to hold seditious attitudes, such targets were doled out by the dozen and it would be the work of the agent, and others like them, to remove such targets so as to allow the Admiral to replace them with men and women of confirmed quality and loyalty. At this time, the reports largely deal with the state of Byss which, by the agent's own reckoning, "is a world akin to Coruscant, a capital in all but name" with facilities to house countless soldiers, shipyards large enough to construct Super Star Destroyers with room to spare, and offices for the burgenoning bureaucracy all being located on the planet. There is some awe to be found in the report when speaking of Byss, at least at first, especially of the fact that it appeared to be entirely devoid of alien life and inhabited solely by humans in accordance with the beliefs of Human High Culture.
As time drags on and the loyalty, or at least efficiency of the agent, is confirmed by the Admiral and later Executor, the tone of the report becomes far more dire and personal. With each new world the agent visits, observations are constantly made about the absence of alien life, of the lack of even servants outside a handful of cases, and of the ever present nature of Eden's security apparatus. Eventually, after being posted to a small agri-world near Prakith, the agent discovers precisely why there were so few aliens throughout the Deep Core after entering a work camp to receive a status report from the local commandant. Several hours of footage, from this world and others, would illustrate what the agent had witnessed far better than words ever might, especially as the agent notes that they lacked the words to express what they had seen though they do speak at length about their disillusionment with Human High Culture if "this is it's end." At this point, the agent notes that they had become trusted enough to become aware of several top secret projects including extensive cloning facilities on Byss originally intended, according to Eden, to ensure a constant supply of bodies for the Emperor though the facilities had been re-purposed to provide crew for his fleets.
Soon after, the agent loses all coherency with the Prakith Report reading more as a suicide note than something written by a seasoned operative. More proof of the Executor's excesses in the Deep Core are provided, insinuations of at least a dozen planets being settled though this section is unclear, and then finally the phrase "please make me a stone" added mere moments before the Prakith Report was transmitted to the Imperial Center. The Prakith Report has since been handed over to the Regency Council for evaluation, with Imperial Intelligence having provided extensive notes meant to help in making sense of the later parts of the report, and potential action if deemed necessary.
Not that she would have called it that, the Galaxy spanning stereotype of female Twi'leks as dancing slaves performing for their owners having made the very concept distasteful to her, but no other word did her actions justice, twin blades slicing through the air, slash, feint, parry and riposte against imaginary foes, flowing smoothly from stance to stance as she indulged her one vice in the installation's hangar bay.
And it was an indulgence. There were a hundred other matters that demanded her attention, matters of recruitment, resupply, pacts to be made, more operations to be planned, and in these times a talent for bladework was much less called for than skill with blasters or slug throwers. These sessions, two hours every Standard day, they were her reward to herself, and a way to bleed away the irritation and aggravation inflicted by dealing with everything else.
It was a shame, really. There was something pure, something clean about spilling blood with your own hands, feeling the enemy's breath on your face, watching the light fade from their eyes, even if it was only nostalgia for the simpler days in the arena.
She smiles at the thought, though in truth the Twi'lek woman smiles often, far more than might be expected of a former slave turned revolutionary, forcibly fitted with cybernetics and made to kill before she reached adolescence.
She smiles because she has a purpose, and those around her share it. She smiled because she knows exactly why she fights. Not for glory. That is a hollow thing, chased by weak souls, desperate to validate their lives with the acclaim of those even weaker than they are. Nor is it conquest, the obsessive gathering of worlds and beings beneath her control, thinking nothing but what she demands, being nothing except what she bids them be. That is humanity's sin, their cause, steeped into their very blood. But not hers.
No, she and those who follow her fight for one thing only. The only thing truly worth fighting for. They'll all see that, one day. Perhaps even the Empress, when Imperial Center's spires burn, when Nolaa's blades carve into her throat, and her last sight is the Twi'leks steel grin, lips pulling back to display metal fangs replacing the teeth she lost in the fighting pits.
Perhaps then she'll understand what Nolaa has known since the first time she picked up a blade.

Although the Galactic Empire would, to some degree of success, manage to eject both Admiral Jaeffis and Carnor Jax from the Core Worlds, this did not mean an end to their ambitions. Having met through their mutual ties to Sate Pestage, the would-be Emperor, both Jaeffis and Jax would come to an arrangement after the events at Fondor and Corellia that would see them both link up at Harrin in the hopes of pooling their resources and toppling the Regency Council. Later joined by Grand Moff Bertroff Hissa, a near-human who had run afoul of Director Ysard, the three powerful figures would form what is often referred to as the Triumvirate or, more commonly, the Crimson Empire as a rival Empire to the one based out of the Imperial Center. Though the Triumvirate would lack the strength possessed by the Galactic Empire, it would benefit from the relative remoteness of it's location and the presence of the New Republic as would be evidenced in the months following the establishment of the Crimson Empire.
Beginning a campaign down the Harrin Trade Corridor, the Triumvirate would find that as Vondarc began to be stricken with rebel activity, in which Naboo was suspected to have a hand, and as Tynna became host to a growing Republican presence that the Crimson Empire would find itself awash with requests for protection from nearby Moffs. With the Regency Council seemingly more interested in protecting the Core Worlds and the territories of Zsinj and Kaine, many Moffs in the Outer and Mid Rims had come to feel abandoned and as a consequence, entities such as the Triumvirate were seen as a preferable alternative to abandonment. From Harrin to Brevost to Roldalna, the Crimson Empire would quickly to expand to encompass most of the Harrin Trade Corridor and absorb a number of ships and personnel along the way that have served to replenish the Triumvirate's numbers and grant it the strength necessary to hold it's own against both the Empire and the New Republic.
Aside from an attempted assassination of Grand Moff Jaeffis, an attempt that was foiled by the Imperial Guard, the Crimson Empire has nevertheless been a relatively quiet stretch of space in spite of it's ambitious designs upon the Galaxy. With the New Republic focusing it's attentions elsewhere and the Galactic Empire tied up with it's own problems, the Crimson Empire and the Triumvirate has been afforded the breathing space it needs to consolidate and prepare itself whilst it's erstwhile foes are busy with other targets.
Summary
Grand Moff Jaeffis, Supreme Commander Carnor Jax, and Grand Moff Hissa form the Triumvirate out of Harrin.
Playing on fears of the New Republic and Imperial neglect, the Triumvirate have swept down the Harrin Trade Corridor.
Vondarc plagued by civil strife inspired by troublemakers from Naboo.

Strife in Hutt Space
The Sector Chief of Nar Shaddaa, Big Red
---
Following the revelations made in the Kashyyyk Sector regarding the relationship between Trandosha and Drakkus the Hutt, revelations which threatened to start a turf war due to the competing interests in the sector, most of the high-ranking Hutts and Crimelords in the Hutt Space have converged on Nal Hutta for a meeting to discuss the fate of the Kashyyyk Sector. Considered to be one of the highest profile gatherings in the Galaxy in over a century, the Conference at Nal Hutta would see security ramped up to new heights as over a dozen Hutts conducted their own sweeps of Durga the Hutt's Palace and bickered with each other over the best way to prevent murders and unwanted violence. With figures such as Durga and Drakkus the Hutts, Tyber Zann, and Talon Karrde in attendance, such security measures would be more than understandable with nobody wanting anything to go wrong at the meeting due to the obvious consequences of such a thing occurring at so important a conference.
As a testament to the skill of the various security chiefs involved in the affair, the Conference on Nal Hutta would start off without issue with Durga the Hutt entertaining his guests with some of the finest delicacies in the galaxy and the best dancers and jizz players money could buy. It was, on the whole, a pleasant start to the meeting with Durga and Drakkus even conversing on friendly terms, making friendly jabs at each others criminal empires and speaking at length of their time beneath such Hutts as Jabba, whilst everyone waited for the conference to begin. Even the beginning of the conference itself, when accusations of treachery began to be lobbed about by all parties, would be a relatively peaceful affair by Hutt standards with Durga and Drakkus both playing the mediator, taking it in turns to cool tempers and urge restraint and wisdom amongst the younger Hutts. It was, by all accounts, a meeting that would bear real fruit and potentially aid in ensuring that Hutt Space would remain peaceful and it's denizens profitable for generations to come by averting conflict between the major factions before it had even begun.
But things are rarely so peaceful and the Conference on Nal Hutta was no exception.
The first clue that something had gone terribly, horribly wrong would be when the Crimson Death was brought before the gathered Hutts and Crimelords in chains. Having been alerted to a potential threat, Durga the Hutt had made sure to take every precaution necessary to ensure the conference proceeded smoothly and thus when the Crimson Death infiltrated the palace, she was swiftly subdued at the cost of a dozen guards cut apart by the Twi'lek's new lightsaber. In a bold and booming speech to the gathered Hutts and Crimelords, Durga the Hutt would remind them all of the need for peace and cooperation if the Galactic Civil War was to be exploited to the fullest and that peace harmony had to be had if the Hutt Space was to thrive. As far as speeches went, it was a moving one and even the Drakkus the Hutt would later admit that were it not for what occurred later, he himself might well have been taken in by Durga the Hutt's bold words and impassioned plea though unluckily for Durga the Hutt, he would never know of this touching revelation.
After then shooting the Crimson Death in the chest and dropping her into the rancor pit below, the Conference on Nal Hutta proceeded with everyone being markedly more relaxed now that the threat had seemingly passed. Talks about the Kashyyyk Sector resumed, discussions over what was to be done were had, and for the briefest of moments, there was the possibility of Durga and Drakkus working together to the detriment of the Empire and the New Republic. Fortunately for everyone else, the series of explosions that rocked Durga the Hutt's Palace to it's core would prevent such an alliance with countless Hutts and Crimelords being killed in the blast including Durga the Hutt who was quite literally vaporised by the blast. Some such as Drakkus the Hutt would be presumed dead, though Drakkus would actually be spirited away to a hidden stronghold where he was tended to by the finest physicians the Hutt had at his disposal, whilst others would escape largely unharmed including Talon Karrde, Tyber Zann, and, by unknown means, the Crimson Death.
Those who survived would not be enough to stop what was to come next, however, with the deaths of so many high-ranking Hutts and Crimelords quite literally throwing Hutt Space into chaos. With organisations such as the Black Sun gutted and other smaller organisations completely wiped out by the attack on Nal Hutta and a string of assassinations that swiftly followed the bombing, a gaping hole was left in the hierarchy that dominated Hutt Space. Without the influence of the bigger Hutts and Crimelords to keep them in line, hundreds of petty gangsters, bounty hunters, and pirates began to squabble over territory and settle vendettas. Nar Shaddaa was turned into a battleground, Nal Hutta disputed territory, and the space between them an open battlefield as fingers were pointed and blood boiled over to the detriment of all. Not even the resurgence of Drakkus the Hutt, now the most powerful Hutt in Hutt Space, would stop the violence with his reappearance only serving to worsen matters.
On Nal Hutta, Rotta the Hutt has begun to reclaim his father's empire, bit by aching bit, whilst the Exchange, previously a non-entity, has experienced a resurgence under the Sector Chief of Nar Shaddaa, a Jawa known as Big Red, who has swiftly become known for burning his rivals alive with the exhaust from his personal freighter. Elsewhere those Hutts and Crimelords that survived the bombing have moved to hold their territory together with Drakkus the Hutt feeding at least one would-be usurper to a rancor whilst Tyber Zann has ramped up defenses around Hypori and Saleucami in anticipation of an attack from his rivals.
And throughout all of this, the mystery of who it was that arranged the bombing and subsequent assassinations remains.
Summary
The Conference on Nal Hutta initially proceeds without issue.
The Crimson Death captured by Durga the Hutt and shot after trying to interfere in the meeting.
An alliance between Durga and Drakkus nearly struck before bomb blasts kill Durga and many high ranking Hutts and Crimelords.
Hutt Space descends into chaos as everyone tries to fill the power void left by the dead.
Rotta the Hutt and Big Red surge to prominence.
Drakkus the Hutt, Tyber Zann, and Talon Karrde among the most powerful Hutts and Crimelords to survive.

Operation Horsemen
A New Republic Trooper
---
In the Galactic South, the New Republic has begun to flex it's muscles with Operation Horsemen which has been the New Republic Starfleet's largest military operation to date. Dispatching several fleets to Riflor, including Maalras Squadron and Ghes Ordo, the New Republic would first move to assist General Crix Madine in liberating the mining world from Imperial control. After brushing aside the Imperial fleet in orbit around Riflor, Republican forces would stage a landing on the planet surface and begin the grueling process of digging out the Imperial garrison. Although the Battle of Riflor would be a minor one in the grand scheme of things, it would be noteworthy due to the fact that it would be the first time that the New Republic had fought as true state and not merely as a bunch of ragtag rebels. Troopers would land on the planet clad from head to toe in body armour, which, though not as tough as the armour boasted by Stormtroopers, was a significant improvement over the old jackets and helmets, and assorted ground vehicles would be dropped to assist them in the fighting.
Though these forces are far from a match for the Imperial Army, it represents a significant leap forward for the former Rebels and has served to endear Senator Shea Hublin to many a trooper thanks to his tireless efforts to ensure that the New Republic's rank and file are adequately protected. The Battle of Riflor would also be significant in that it would be the first time that a Jedi would fight for the New Republic since the Battle of Endor with Ghes Ordo taking to the field using a "liberated" lightsaber and a rudimentary command of the Force to assist soldiers on the ground. For the New Republic, Ghes Ordo's participation has proven to be a much needed morale boost with many a sentient still associating the Jedi Order with the glory days of the Old Republic and therefore seeing the sight of a Jedi as proof of the righteousness of the New Republic's cause. That Ghes Ordo does not himself identify as a Jedi, and is about as inclined to become a monk as he is to give up adoring female fans, is considered irrelevant to the propaganda victory the New Republic has gained.
Following the Liberation of Riflor, which would see General Crix Madine praised by the Senate for his role in liberating the planet, other New Republican forces would continue their advance towards the core with Fleet Admiral Gial Ackbar leading the New Republic Starfleet up towards Thyferra. Faced with the equivalent of a Sector Fleet, planet after planet would fall to the New Republic with Admiral Ackbar making it his personal duty to drive the Empire back sector by sector, system by system, with the might of the New Republic at his back. Only at Vandelhelm, where the Imperial Navy rallied it's last remaining forces in the region for a last ditch stand, would the New Republic be made to truly bleed for it's gains with the Imperial Navy digging in with three fleets under the command of Admiral Hurrk in anticipation of the impending attack. Giving as good as they got, the Imperial Navy would hold the New Republic off long enough for refugees on Vandelhelm to be evacuated to the Core before the New Republic broke through and scattered the Imperial forces.
With Vandelhelm secured, the New Republic now holds a direct line to Fondor and will be able to effectively campaign in the Core Worlds come the New Year.
Summary
Riflor liberated in a testament to the newfound efficacy of the New Republic.
Ghes Ordo demonstrates a rudimentary mastery of the Force and a...ability not to cut off his own limbs with a lightsaber, something that has led him to be seen as a Jedi by the public.
Admiral Ackbar leads a major push into Imperial territory, driving the Empire back and winning an important victory at Vandelhelm.
The New Republic is now poised to move into the Core Worlds.

The Fall of Dantooine
The Battle of Dantooine
---
Although the New Republic would surge ahead in the Galactic South, in the Galactic North the situation was far more dire. Many worlds that had followed the Rebellion into the New Republic would find themselves cut off from the bulk of the New Republic's forces not only by the tyranny of distance but also by very large and powerful Imperial Warlords with an axe to grind. Dantooine would be one such unlucky world with the storied planet sandwiched between the Grand Moffs Kaine and Zsinj of which the former had every intention to put down that particular niggling point of resistance. Such a thing would not go unnoticed by Admiral Howard Lee, the officer in command of the fleets around the planet, who would make the heartbreaking decision to abandon the planet to the Empire in order to preserve his forces and give the New Republic the opportunity to keep on fighting in the Galactic North. Although Lee would not leave Dantooine undefended, at least ten ships and a hundred pilots would volunteer to stay behind and buy him much needed time, it would be something of a blow to the New Republic all the same.
Leaving Dantooine behind, Admiral Lee would make his way east, first launching an attack on Gravlex Med where he would damage the shipyards in the system and make off with much needed supplies, and continuing on attacking Imperial assets all the way to Telos. Along the way, the New Republic would be made aware of Gaen Drommel, who had established himself on Oplovis using the SSD Guardian to advance his own independent interests, and of the ongoing feud between Kaine and Zsinj before finally reaching Telos. On Dantooine itself, the story would be far more grim with Grand Moff Kaine arriving and, at the Battle of Dantooine, obliterating the ragtag defense mounted by those pilots and ships that had chosen to remain behind. After brushing aside the defenses, the Grand Moff would then fold Dantooine into his territory and task one of his more competent Moffs with the task of rounding up the remaining Rebels and getting the valuable agri-world producing for the Empire once more.
Summary
Admiral Howard Lee abandons Dantooine and flees east, hitting Gravlex Med along the way, to Telos.
Kaine takes Dantooine without major issue.
Gaen Drommel takes over Oplovis using the SSD Guardian.
From: Hzar Vressk To: Kashyyyk Region Governments @Sidheach Private
Following the unfortunate and disturbing events in Hutt space, the start of which claimed my own cousin Korek Vressk, I would like to renew my offer of alliance and deeper ties between the peoples of the Kashyyyk region. Without the moderating influence of the more powerful Hutts and with every criminal organization either trying to ensure their positions or looking to expand their territory and influence we again call for us to look to our common defense and common interest. Many of you may have been dubious or openly hostile or distrusting of the Hutts, but they were at least a stable threat. The rise and lack of restraining factor on the many new raiders, pirates, and killers that will be let loose in our space will be a chaotic and violent force that will like a predatory beast nip and bite at the edges of our many worlds, before going in for the kill on any world where they sense weakness. Let us show a united front to these vicious Anooba.
Among the many hot spots in the Galaxy would be the Greater Maldrood, a stretch of territory controlled by the Teradoc Brothers, which would find itself fought over by the New Republic, Galactic Empire, Imperial Warlords, and an assortment of pirates and smugglers with no affiliations to either major faction. What began as a minor feud between Grand Admiral Grunger and Lord Admiral Teradoc had clearly spiraled swiftly out of a control and thus, as 5ABY drew to a close, the conflict would be escalated even further with Admiral Oxtroe leading several fleets into the sector in the hopes of putting the Teradocs down. It would be a similar story in the New Republic as well with Fleet Admiral Ackbar granting Admiral Chart control of the New Republic's assets at Velmor in the hopes of putting the Teradocs down before the Empire and thereby open up yet another passage to the Core for the New Republic. As one might suspect, the shared aspirations of both the Empire and the New Republic would lay down the foundations for yet another confrontation in the Outer Rim, this time at Centares where both sides hoped to trap the Teradocs and win the day for their respective factions.
It would be the Empire that would be the first to strike with Admiral Oxtroe leading an Imperial Fleet up the Perlemian Trade Route from Contruum and attacking the Teradocs at Centares, their capital, knowing full well that they would swiftly withdraw to defend the seat of their power. The Battle of Centares would itself be a bitter fight with Treuten and Kosh Teradoc putting aside their differences to throw back Oxtroe and the Empire at Centares as they raced back to the system to confront the newest contender for the Greater Maldrood. With Centares being heavily fortified, Betl Oxtroe would find the arrival of both the Teradoc Brothers to be something of a hitch in her plan however with her role being merely that of a distraction, it was believed that she would be able to withdraw before she suffered too many casualties. The activation of several Interdictors, however, would put an end to that plan and soon the Admiral and her fleets found themselves trapped in a system the Teradocs had begun turning into a fortress, something that would have spelled disaster were it not for what came next.
Being of a similar opinion to the Empire and believing that the best way to defeat the Teradocs would be to strike at them from behind, Admiral Chart had chosen to employ a similar strategy to the Empire with Chart and his reinforcements at Velmor making preparations to hit the Teradocs at Centares as well. Striking later than the Empire due to the difficulties in charting a course of Chart's fleet that avoided Imperial patrols and Columex, the New Republic would jump into the Centares System around the same time that the Teradocs activated their Interdictors and trapped Admiral Oxtroe in the system. Now stuck at Centares as well, Admiral Chart would do what he did best and engage not only the Teradocs but also the Empire with the Battle of Centares swiftly turning into some sort of awkward three-way with a great deal of confusion, hurried communications, and attempted deals. The brief involvement of the Pirates of Centares, who showed up towards the end of the battle and are believed to have conducted several boarding actions on smaller Imperial vessels before jumping out, would officially make the Battle of Centares one of the most confusing in the Galactic Civil War as a result.
Following the arrival of Admrial Chart and the New Republic Starfleet, the Battle of Centares would descend into an all out brawl with all three sides taking shots at each other in equal measure. Admiral Oxtroe engaged X-Wings launched by the Pride of Dac whilst desperately attempting to take down Treuten Teradoc's Interdictors, Admiral Chart made a beeline for the Teradoc Brothers whilst fending off the Imperials, whilst the Teradocs themselves fought both sides equally. The destruction of the Interdictors would allow the Imperials under Admiral Oxtroe to withdraw halfway through the battle and with their withdrawal permit the New Republic to take down the Teradocs without further interference, an opportunity they embraced wholeheartedly. Kosh Teradoc himself would be captured and taken into custody, spirited away to Eriadu to face trial, whilst Treuten Teradoc would be force to flee north to Columex where he himself would face a most awkward fate leaving Centares to fall to the New Republic.
Whilst the Battle of Centares raged, Grand Moff Zsinj would personally see to the nagging problem that was Columex, taking several fleets to strike at the fortress world whilst the Teradocs were busy being in mortal danger at Centares. With the planet's defenses already weakened by the year of fighting between Grunger and Teradoc, the job of taking Columex would be an easy one which Zsinj would take at a leisurely pace, even allowing several of his commanders to break off to deal with the New Republic's presence at Arda whilst he himself had a hearty brunch. Orbital defenses would be eradicated, defending ships methodically targeted and destroyed, and the planet itself taken in a well planned out invasion that left Zsinj free to have dinner on the planet's surface at a well known restaurant that had avoided destruction in all the fighting. Combined with the recapture of Vorzyd, by Grunger who took the planet for himself, and Belderone, it was a smooth affair on Zsinj's part that was capped off by Treuten Teradoc running right into his hands and being captured by Zsinj's forces.
Metalorn and Boz Pity would themselves fall under the sway of a new warlord, Metalorn to a Captain Buzz whilst Boz Pity would become a base for the Pirates of Centares, whilst the Moff of Jaminere would secede from the Empire and declare neutrality in the hopes of avoiding attacks on the planet. One curious consequence of the Battle of Centares and the Teradoc Campaign, however, has been that the bulk, if not the near entirety, of the New Republic's forces in the Galactic Northeast have been cut off with the presence of Zsinj at Columex ensuring that the route taken to reach Centares is no longer viable. If the Empire were so inclined, some say, it would now be able to drive on Mon Calamari unopposed though none can say for sure if this is true or not.
Summary
Battle of Centares is a fourway clusterfuck with Imps, Warlords, Rebels, and Pirates all involved at various points.
Betl Oxtroe makes it out alive, Kosh Teradoc is captured by the New Republic, Treuten Teradoc is in Zsinj's hands, and Centares is Republic Space now.
Zsinj moves in and mops up Arda, Columex, and Belderone while the Pirates of Centares take Boz Pity, a warlord breaks off Metalorn, and Jaminere declares independence and neutrality.
Chart cut off from Mon Calamari by Zsinj.

The Capture of Ord Mantell
Admiral Natasi Penin
---
On a more minor note, the returning Imperial Warlord turned Loyalist, Natasi Penin, would move to take control of Ord Mantell from the local warlord. Seeking to secure the planet before Zsinj or any other Imperial could preempt her, Penin would swoop into Ord Mantell and engage the local warlord in an overwhelming attack that would break the planet's defenses before outsiders could interfere. The Capture of Ord Mantell has served to further expand the Admiral's personal territory in the Mid Rim and has allowed her to use captured assets to offset the impact of Zsinj's more loyal officers being filtered into the ranks of her forces. At the same time, in a most tragic turn of events, the Moff sent to keep an eye on her has had a falling out with his wife over some "hussy" though those close to the couple are sure reconciliation is still on the cards.
Summary
Natasi Penin rushes Ord Mantell and secures it for herself.
The Moff sent by Zsinj to watch Penin has a falling out with his wife over an unnamed hussy.

Operation Honeypot
Captain Alix "Queen" Krennic
---
Concerned by the growing number of Rebel attacks on Imperial facilities in the Outer Rim as well as the accompanying sabotage of Imperial facilities, Imperial Intelligence would choose to conduct an operation in the hopes of catching out the rebel cell behind the attacks out in the open. An old research facility in the Galactic North would be turned into a top secret prison facility, a defector allowed to slip free with vital information, and forces would be arrayed in anticipation of the inevitable sally by the Rebels in the hopes of liberating their comrades and stopping some great evil. After this was done, all that remained was the waiting with several squads of Death Troopers holing up nearby and trading stories of past exploits and losses, secrets, and the odd stab at the Empire's often poor attempts to pass off gaping holes in planets as mining accidents and the like. Eventually the bait would be taken, however, and talk would give way to action as a New Republic strikeforce made their way to the planet in order to liberate their comrades.
From here, Operation Honeypot would proceed as scheduled with the Republican strikeforce breaching the facility and slowly making their way inside whilst under heavy fire from the local security forces. The Death Troopers would then come in behind them and close the net, holing the strikeforce up and taking them down one by one until the Empire was betrayed from the most unlikely of sources. Having been contacted in the past by the Rebels about her father, in the hopes that she would defect, Captain Krennic had long held suspicions about the true circumstances behind her father's death, suspicions that would not be confirmed until one of her fellow Death Troopers unwittingly confirmed the truth of it for her. Feeling betrayed by the Empire that she had given everything she had to, that her father had given his life for, Krennic would turn coat mid-operation as the strikeforce stood on the verge of being wiped out and, with her squad faithfully following her as always, do what she always did and brave through the fire and emerge out the other side unharmed.
Unwilling to look a gift horse in the mouth, the strikeforce would follow the chromium clad Death Trooper out of the facility, collecting the wounded along the way, and watch on several occasions as she threw men through walls without touching them, put the butt of her rifle through helmets, and generally remind the Empire the cost of it's secrecy. Using codes in Captain Krennic's possession and a stolen Imperial shuttle, the strikeforce and their new comrades would narrowly escape the planet with the orbiting ships only realising too late that it had been betrayed. Captain Krennic and her squad would subsequently be taken to Eriadu where they would remain under observation whilst High Command deliberates what to do whilst Imperial Intelligence would be left fuming at what was, in hindsight, a betrayal that was bound to happen sooner or later.
Summary
Imperial Intelligence lays a trap for Rebel saboteurs and spies.
Rebels take the bait only to be bailed out by Captain Krennic and her squad after suspicions regarding the death of her father were confirmed.

You're Only As Good As Your Intentions
Princess Leia Organa
---
There would be something of a difference between the teachings imparted upon Ghes Ordo and Leia Organa by the holocrons given to the two force-users. Where the holocron possessed by Ghes Ordo stressed moderation and encouraged the Mandalorian to do the right thing at the end of the day, the holocron possessed by Leia Organa would be far more self-centered. True strength came from embracing everything the heart had to offer, from hate to love to grief to joy, without reservation and that strength existed solely to serve oneself and that good and evil were irrelevant to one's own aims. This would not be to say that the holocron in question was evil, merely that it's teachings were only as good or evil as the person who utilised them as the grieving Princess would quickly come to learn as she continued her mission to assist the New Republic through diplomatic means. The odd gesture, a smile imbued with a sort of inner strength drawn from the Force, were among the subtler ways that Leia would come to use the Force and these little things would be no cause for alarm in her eyes for it would be little more than an accentuation of her preexisting talents. It would not be until she reached Bothawui to help ease tensions on the planet that the potential dangers to be found in the Force and with these teachings would become apparent.
Faced with obstinate politicians for whom finesse meant little, it did not take long for the grieving Princess to find herself pushed just a little too far and, in a moment of...grief, of anger, frustration, of so many things that it would be impossible to narrow it down to one, she would forsake finesse for force. Drawing on her emotions, Leia would reach out with the Force and bend the will of one of the more obstinate Bothans to her own and feel herself draw back after realising precisely what it was that she had done, realising that she had drawn on something far darker than what she had in the past and used it to deprive another of their free will. Understandably rattled, Leia has since withdrawn to the Millennium Falcon to process what has occurred, a task in which she has been aided by some of Luke's possessions including a series of writings by an old hermit and Luke himself.
Summary
Leia continues to study under the holocron and begins experimenting with the Force.
On Bothawui, Leia uses the force to suborn a Bothan to her will and is repulsed by the act, promptly withdrawing to process what has occurred.

The Fall of Bunduki
Ssi-ruuk
---
Whilst Lhwekk may have been ravaged by the Chiss Ascendancy, the Ssi-ruuk have proven unwilling to withdraw without a more forceful nudge and have consequently begun to expand again. Sending out probes to ascertain the state of the region around their position on Xhwee, the Ssi-ruuk have begun picking off several smaller worlds including Bunduki whilst the Galaxy's attention is turned elsewhere. Cutting off their access to the Holonet and jamming their transmissions, the Ssi-ruuk have adopted a more thorough approach to their invasions in order to limit exposure to their technology by outsiders, a thoroughness that has paid off so far. On Bunduki, the Ssi-ruuk would take over with barely a peep getting out of the system leaving them free to enslave and entech the populace after picking out a batch of sentients believed to be force-sensitive, though this will take time and extensive dissections to confirm. Perhaps more worryingly for outsiders is that with each new planet taken, the Ssi-ruuk have begun to grow in strength with the relative dearth of resources on Lhwekk hardly proving a problem in the Bakure Sector.
Summary
Ssi-ruuk continue to expand.
Sentients believed to be force-users are taken by the Ssi-ruuk for examination.

Exploration and Colonisation
Lehon
---
Elsewhere in the Galaxy, exploration continues apace with many new worlds being discovered by intrepid explorers from multiple factions. In the Unknown Regions, Grand Admiral Thrawn has seized upon the growing number of refugees and directed those willing to newly discovered planets in the Unknown Regions such as Lehon in the hopes of taming the Wild Space. On the whole, this section of Galactic life has proven to be uneventful and quiet in the latter half of 5ABY which is, it must be said, a good thing.
Private Communique
From: The Clan Council of Mandalore To: Ghes Ordo @Sidheach
On behalf of Mandalore, we extend congratulations for your recent victory at the Battle of Riflor. The courage and ingenuity displayed on the battlefield that day is the testament of a true Mandalorian.
Indeed your exploits, as the first and only Jetiise to take to the field since the death of the Emperor, have gained the notice of the Clan Council and the Mandalore himself. In particular, Clan Ordo would wish to convey its pride in having such a representative of their family among the New Republic's greatest heroes.
While we do not hold accords with the Republic, we recognize your strength among them. Should you ever decide to return to your homeland, know that you will receive a hero's welcome.
After the Rebel Fleets protecting Dantooine fled and its remaining defenders crushed. Kaine has decided to deal with the world in a way he sees fit. The surviving rebels will be placed in a POW camp until such time can be found to release them back to their homeworld. It is also a mention of note that the rebels crimes will depend on their severity regardless of race; meaning that your time in the camp at [Retracted World] will depend on your crimes alone. Settlers of all races are to be encouraged to continue farming with bonuses for those who exceed food production limits for themselves. Oversector Outer will work to remove the debris of war and rebuild the parts of the world damaged in the fighting. Finally The Location [Retracted] will be the only place on Dantooine for the Imperial Base. Kaine has stated he has high hopes for Dantooine to become a good productive world that feels save and secure once again.

The founding of the Admiral Roek Wing of the Grant Libraries turned out to be much easier then expected. The Grant Libraries (named after Firmus Grant, a Jedi Knight TOTALLY UNAFFILIATED WANDERING DO-GOODER from the time of Great Sith War) had a half-dozen more or less empty wings -- taking a bunch of money to rename one was a common practice for the last thousand years. Even more so since the Grand Admiral didn't actually care if the Admiral Roek Wing existed on anything except paper. But the professors, on the other hand, they counted every single credit. University budget concerns were a big deal in the Galaxy Far Far Away as well. So, with credits to burn, the Grant Library directors looked to expand their faculty.

Revised Teradoc Campaign, Mandalore, and Mon Calamari 5ABY
"We will kill Admiral Chart and as many of his friends and aides as is Humanly possible."
"That will be the most enjoyable part of the operation." - Grand Moff Zsinj to Captain Deccol
The location of the Teradoc Brothers, Treuten and Kosh, along the Perlemian Trade Route would make their state of Greater Maldrood a very large target for all those factions with interests in the region. With the New Republic seeking to open up a second route to the Core through Centares, Grand Admiral Grunger seeking to establish an empire of his own, and the Empire itself seeking to shield the Core from all possible threats, an escalation of hostilities was inevitable. In the Quelli Oversector, Grand Moff Zsinj would prepare his fleets in coordination with Admiral Betl Oxtroe, at Galidraan, Admiral Chart would rally his forces and call upon his allies at Velmor, and all the while the Teradoc Brothers would make their own preparations in anticipation of the inevitable onslaught.
Of all those forces at play, the first to strike would be Grand Moff Zsinj with the Grand Moff directing Admiral Oxtroe to take several fleets from Contruum to Centares in order to entice Treuten and Kosh Teradoc away from Columex in order to swiftly put down the incursion before it could threaten their seat at Centares. Jumping into the Centares System at the head of several fleets, the bait laid by Admiral Oxtroe would prove more than sufficient to lure the Teradoc Brothers away from Columex with the threat of losing Centares proving far too much for either of the brothers to ignore. Engaging the Imperial forces, the relative parity in numbers between the two forces would ensure that the battle would initially go Betl Oxtroe's way with the Admiral seeking only to detain the Teradoc Brothers whilst Zsinj moved elsewhere.
As a reminder to all those who might have thought that the Teradoc Brothers were anything other than crafty, especially when competing against one another, several Interdictors in service in the Teradocs' fleets would activate their gravity wells and trap Admiral Oxtroe in the Centares System once they sought to jump out after deeming their part in Zsinj's plan to be done. Now trapped, the Battle of Centares would swiftly turn in favour of the Teradoc Brothers with the Admiral's stranded forces soon finding themselves overwhelmed by their opponents. With Centares firmly under their control, saboteurs believed to have been sent to the planet by the Empire would be captured attempting to stir up trouble and promptly transported to Boz Pity where a facility dedicated to the creative extraction of information from organic sources, and their supply lines secure, it seemed as though the battle was already won for the Teradoc Brothers.
The arrival of a New Republic fleet under the command of Rear Admiral Hionwwe Siel would, however, throw the outcome of the Battle of Centares once more into question. Tasked by Admiral Chart with taking the Centares System, Rear Admiral Siel would arrive in the Centares System at the head of one of the New Republic's newest battle-groups shortly after the Teradoc Brothers had activated their gravity wells. Noting that both the Empire and the Teradocs were at each others throats, and observing that he himself lacked the numbers to take both forces on, Rear Admiral Siel would contact Admiral Oxtroe offering a truce in the name of taking down the Teradoc Brothers. Lacking little choice in the matter, particularly as it was feared that Rear Admiral Siel would make the same offer to her foes, Admiral Oxtroe would accept Rear Admiral Siel's offer and, with the assistance of the New Republic, launch a renewed assault against the Teradoc Brothers.
With a temporary truce in place, both Admiral Oxtroe and Rear Admiral Siel would fall upon the Teradoc Brothers with the aim of removing the Galaxy of an agreed upon nuisance. X-Wings and TIE Defenders would clash with the Teradocs' TIE Fighters and Star Destroyers and Star Cruisers would exchange fire as the Empire and the New Republic briefly set aside their differences in the name of putting the Teradocs down. Overwhelmed, and soon lacking their Interdictors, the Teradoc Brothers would predictably part ways with Kosh Teradoc taking several Star Destroyers to Metalorn whilst Treuten Teradoc, unaware of the fate of Columex, fled north to ground still perceived to be friendly. At this point, the truce between Oxtroe and Riel would break down for the briefest of periods with the two forces exchanging fire until Admiral Oxtroe, whose forces had been badly mauled, opted to withdraw to Aargonar until reinforcements could be dispatched.
The victory at the Battle of Centares, which would end with the New Republic seizing the planet after Admiral Oxtroe's withdrawal, would be overshadowed by events occurring at the same time at Columex where the Empire and the New Republic would clash more earnestly than at Centares. With the Teradoc Brothers distracted at Centares, as was the plan, Grand Moff Zsinj would move to carry out his end of the plan with the Grand Moff personally leading nearly two dozen Imperial Star Destroyers to Columex, while Grand Admiral Grunger took Vorzyd, to cut the Teradocs off. Initially seizing the upper hand with the planet being ravaged by saboteurs and operatives working for Zsinj, the sudden arrival of Admiral Chart would throw Zsinj's plans off and force him to move to counter the Mon Calamari in order to defend his gains.
To put it in the simplest of terms, the Third Battle of Columex would be an overwhelming victory for the Empire. Aboard the SSD Iron Fist, Grand Moff Zsinj would oversee the defense of the Columex System with waves of TIE Defenders, Fighters, and Interceptors clashing with X-Wings and Y-Wings whilst the SSD Iron Fist and two dozen Imperial Star Destroyers, plus escorts, clashed with Admiral Chart's fleet. The Third Battle of Columex would be described as an all-out brawl by some with Zsinj swiftly closing the distance between himself and Admiral Chart, some say to force Chart to fight on his terms, and boarding actions proving exceedingly common. It would be during this battle that D-Regiment would earn itself a reputation with it's leader, HK-47, stealing several Imperial and New Republic vessels before jumping out of the system after deeming their time with the New Republic to be concluded.
Abandoned by D-Regiment, in a betrayal that no one saw coming even though the droids displayed autonomy, took to replacing their own numbers without being ordered to do so, referred to organics as meatbags, and were given a ship, Admiral Chart's fortunes would swiftly falter. Eventually deeming the situation to be beyond recovery, Admiral Chart would choose to withdraw, opting to live to fight another day, leaving Grand Moff Zsinj to secure Columex and see to his own forces with the SSD Iron Fist having suffered damage along with a significant portion of his forces. Combined with the later capture of Treuten Teradoc, who did not learn of Columex's fall until after his arrival in the system, the Teradoc Campaign has proven an overwhelming success for the Empire whilst the New Republic's fortunes have proven far more mixed.
Though Centares has fallen to the New Republic, the loss of nearly two fleets at Columex has meant that it's capture is far from secure with Grand Moff Zsinj lurking just around the corner at Columex where he is now in a position to move south and eject the New Republic from the system. At the same time, the damage done to Admiral Chart's forces now means that the route to Mon Calamari is within the realm of possibility for the Empire as is the recovery of several planets in the Outer Rim liberated by the New Republic. Combined with the loss of D-Regiment, which has well and truly vanished, the Teradoc Campaign has proven a difficult pill to swallow for the New Republic and may well prove an omen of poorer things to come.
Summary
Centares falls to the New Republic.
Third Battle of Columex is a victory for the Empire.
Chart withdraws to Galidraan whilst D-Regiment takes several ships and vanishes.
Voryzd falls to Grunger, Belderone quietly falls to Zsinj after Columex, Metalorn and Boz Pity now held by Kosh Teradoc.
Treuten Teradoc imprisoned by the Empire.
Mod Notes
There are several differences between this report and the original which are the result of both me not reading all the plans but also due to me misreading the plans I did read. The original success at Centares is due to my erroneous belief that Chart sent his forces to the planet as well, providing the New Republic with overwhelming force, which was not the case hence the temporary truce between Siel and Oxtroe. Further D-Regiment did not go rogue in the initial report due to the fact that in said report, D-Regiment was never in serious danger unlike here where it was tasked with boarding the SSD Iron Fist, an action deemed too risky to do for the meatbags hence why they chose to go rogue. On the whole, the overall situation has changed with Centares still falling but with Chart still having forces between Zsinj and Dac unlike the original report where there was a whole lot of nothing.
As an aside, I apologise once more for the cock up and promise to avoid such situations again.

Mandalore Growing
An "Insta-Town" on Mandalore
---
While the New Republic and the Galactic Empire fight, Mandalore has grown. Under the leadership of it's new Mandalore, the bounty hunter once known as Boba Fett, the Mandalorians have begun to converge on their ancient homeworld once more, drawn in by the promises of glory, steady pay, and a sense of purpose than the Mandalorians have lacked since the days of Canderous Ordo. What this has meant for Mandalore is a boom in population with thousands of Mandalorians returning home and driving the creation of so called "Insta-Towns" built to house the returning citizens who have themselves helped boost the planet's economy and drive good times for the world. In more practical terms, it has also meant that the new Mandalore has found himself awash with willing recruits offering to crew his ships and, if he would but give the word, fight his wars for him with the excess of testosterone giving extra oomph to those clans in favour of expansion. How the new Mandalore chooses to respond to all of this is unknown but what is certain is that either way, Mandalore has the potential for relevance once more at it's fingertips.
Summary
Mandalorians come home to Mandalore.
Lots of people wanting to fight, crew ships, and generally make things blow up.

Endless Ocean's Theme Song

"If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them....maybe you can hire Endless Ocean." - Quote from Endless Ocean's Advertising Campaign
In a bid to become the coolest Private Military Company around, Endless Ocean has embarked on an advertising campaign meant to attract recruits and support from worlds in the Outer Rim. With a catchy tune, a guy with an eyepatch, and plans that always seemed to come together, the campaign has proven a successful one to date with the government of Mon Calamari hiring Endless Ocean for security work and one director from Eriadu offering to do a holonet series about the group. Along with growth in the PMC's facilities in the Outer Rim, life looks good for Endless Ocean for now.

I thank you for the honour you show me with your words and would ask that if Clan Ordo could spare the room that I be given a plot of land on Ordo itself for my own use once it is time for me to do things other than fly, shoot, fly some more, and then slash people with a lightsaber.
