So far, going out to taunt QO has a 34 vote lead over merging with Host.

That wasn't a seperate vote?

I think I goofed.
Indeed. I am quite serious that I expect her to be hastily recognized as a Queen of her own kingdom, with official ambassadors (all high level thinkers, of course) sent to her "court" to try and negotiate.

You mean the Thinkers who literally can't get shit about us on account of hearing a certain song whenever they're near us?

They'd be terrible ambassadors with all the constant screaming.

And I'd like the communication to
be verbal and for QA to differentiate between shards as hosts.

[X]Leave it as it is. Terror is a legitimate weapon for demoralizing your enemies. Being known as a possible future terror drone can only inspire more of that in your enemies and confidence in your allies.
-[X] But set their minds at ease: "I am far greater than a mere Terror Drone could ever hope to be." There. That should help.
-[X] Find out what a Jack Slash is. 2-15 years is hardly any time for data gathering!

[X]Hand back control over to Host. She responded really well to the dreaming and you think it's possible to do so now.
-[X]Um... oops? No, wait, you didn't mean to do tha-
--[X] Mind merge, QA's adorifyingness augmented with Taylor's human creativity.

[X]Head out to chat with the local shards and their hosts.
-[X] Find Queen Shaper and several shards at a school. Draft them to go with you to do stuff. You have human creativity now without having to rely solely on host, so it's your job as QA to guide the other shards.
-[X]You just became the first shard to kill Terror-Drone #7. Time to go rub this fact in Queen Objective's face while Queen Shaper and new shards witness your awesomeness.
--[X] Recall host's memory of rumors hosts of Adept and Queen Shaper may be romantically involved.
---[X] It's obvious from the various props and costumes Adept and Queen Shaper's hosts are using to play with the nonhosts around that you've interrupted their wedding. Being a magnanimous Fairy Queen, you tell Adept and Queen Shaper's hosts that you will perform the marriage ceremony for them and they should feel honored by QA's generosity.
----[X] Other hosts and nonhosts who are around take phone videos of ceremony for posting to PHO later as Adept and Queen Shaper's hosts are too trilled/terrified to tell QA no.

Ah. I thought we were dong both, as most people have been including both of them, but that does make sense. And there's no rush anyway.

As for addressing hosts as their shards and vice versa? I think free form works best. Whatever flows or is funniest in any given scene. Hosts being aware of what we're saying to shards can be great, but so can talking about their dirty laundry behind their backs. In this AU the shards are fairly clearly distinct sapient entities from their hosts, but the very nature of the bond means that there's significant identity overlap, and the extent of it varies from pair to pair, so we can get away with referring to them separately or together depending on the phrasing and topic. Also, we're hardly under constraints to be consistent.

Them being mutually exclusive does make sense. I mean QA-chan can't really go over and taunt Queen Objective if Taylor's awake now can she? In fact any of the options, besides Taylor continuing to sleep, would easily cause enough distractions to prevent that from occurring.

Why can't we try waking up Host just after talking to QO? After all, multitasking is one of the things we're good at.
For future reference: would people prefer if QA talked to shards out loud most of the time? And if so, should she avoid treating the host/the shard as two separate entities?

In other news, I just decided to make this while waiting for voting to end. (35 minutes from now)

"Hello, fairies. Look at your host, now back to me, now back at your host, now back to me. Sadly, he isn't me, but if you stopped trying to kill him and switched to helping out, he could act like he's me. Look down, back up, where are you? You're on a boat with the host your host could act like. What's in your hand? Back at me. I have it, it's two newborns pursuing that concept you love. Look again. The newborns are now monarchs. Anything is possible when your host acts like me and not a scrub. I'm on a whale."
*whistling*
I'd rather we only start getting Shard and Host mixed up if we merge with Host.

I assumed that waking Taylor would happen some time after the righteous Taunting of QO

The options are mostly mutually exclusive. That, and no form of interacting with Host has gotten even 1/3rd of voters to go for a given option.

Hell, specifically choosing to leave Taylor asleep is almost (2 votes below) tied with the wake-up-merging option. And people shouldn't even need a vote for keeping her asleep.

On that note: Voting is CLOSED. Winners are:

Leet interlude is coming next, followed by a PHO interlude, followed by re-assuming control of QA.

Leet interlude might be coming next. Depends on if I find it easier to write insane troll logic/alien mindset (QA) or Leet trying to back away slowly. Either way, PHO interlude comes after.

Yeah, I also didn't realize we were doing either hand control back to Host or taunt QO. Not sure why we can't do both though. Try to hand control back over, but upon failing and merging, go hang out with other shards/hosts and taunt QO while the other shards/hosts watch. Would be nice to have an audience and the creativity gained from Taylor gives you all sorts of ideas as to how to best taunt QO.

Upon "realizing" you've interrupted Adept and QO's hosts wedding (them in the middle of one of their themed crimes), you try to be halpful to them by presiding over their wedding, which gets legally recognized because no one wants to piss off the cape that just took down an Endbringer single-handedly. And the videos of Uber and Leet forcing themselves to kiss each other gets made into an animated gif and used as a profile pic for many people on PHO.

As far as talking to the shards out loud or not, I say mix it up as to whatever gives the most humor at the time.

Seeing as a full Entity could not do it on purpose, we certainly can't do it by accident.

We are going to have to reinvent the wheel here people.

Nonsense! Of course it's not beyond repair. The original : Parents: started out with much fewer Shards than are currently distributed. The Warrior just has literally no imagination and minimal problem-solving ability.

At least, beyond "fire beam of energy at point W, explosion will be X size, will solve problem Y. Problem solved."

But no, QA can't do it by accident. It'd take quite a bit of work.

That is what I meant by reinventing the wheel. We are probably going to have to break Zion down for parts because he is too specialized and build a new Entity.
Not... really? Go grab Harvest. Have a chat with it. Go grab Queen Shaper. Gather up the shards and poke Mother's body.

The only reason Scion can't do it himself is because of the nature of the cycle. He literally cannot gather the shards without his partner. QA's unique circumstances should allow for a... while I hesitate to call it easy, it certainly wouldn't be difficult to do. Just mildly time consuming.

Eden's body has already been butchered by Cauldron which has lead to the improper bonding of many Shards including Core Shards. I do not think Eden is recoverable. Even if she were it could be argued that the two Entity Cycle has been shown to be too flawed to be permitted to continue, after all it was blind chance that allowed QA to act independently

Nah just put a redundancy to always keep any shards needed to do the cycle.

The reason the manton limit and shard restrictions exist is partly because Entites learned from experience that letting hosts have access to a shards full power is a terrible idea.

This is exactly the kind of thing that will go on the cycle checklist.

So? We know that Harvest works just fine on improperly bonded shards and core ones.

That's fine, and revamping the cycle is a perfectly reasonable course of action. The Entities would even go for it, since they have no ego.

You people do realize advocating for the cycle is advocating for pointless genocide on a multiversal scale right?

That's dumb as hell.
