Perhaps the discussion at the start played a role. Even from the initiative roll things seemed clearly outlined for us while the circumstances felt natural.
To be honest, I was expecting more of a negative reaction to his basically-death. However, it seems the tide of public opinion has been against him for some time now.

...Ryoma smashed it's bladed head into the Hero twice, though that was not enough to put him down. It seemed that it was Leo's honor to take the life of the man who nearly slew his retainers.

Encounter Over!
Odin was still dying amidst all of this...
Odin: Dying Roll, DC 50: 28, Failure!
Two More Failures Needed Until Death, One More Success Needed to Stabilize
...Yep, still dying. Meanwhile, a black-haired man, wearing armor typical of Nohrian soldiers, casually walked up to the Group. "Sorry about that, didn't get here until just now."
Scarlet: Familiarization Roll: 96 (Oh yeah, does she know this guy...)
Scarlet waved a hand at him. "Hey, Zeke. I was waiting for you to show up." She gestured towards the downed forms of Niles and Odin. "Do you mind taking a look at these guys? They just joined up, and I'd rather they not die." He nodded before walking towards them, but was stopped by Leo.
The Prince growled, "Who. Are. You? And what gives you the right to-" His demand was interrupted by Scarlet pulling his ear and dragging him away.
"Sorry about that, he's just very concerned about them. Go do your mojo!" Zeke snorted at her statement, before walking up to where Odin lay and laying a hand on him.
Zeke: Contested Roll to Cast Knit Instantly, DC 125: 90+22 (Magic)+10 (1/2 of Intelligence)+15 (Life 3)+30 (Gnosis 3)+15 (Stonecutter, Dedicated Tool)=177, Critical Success!

Odin is awake!
Thankfully, no one noticed whatever magic he cast, as he then stood up and said, "This guy's fine, the blade didn't hit anything vital." As he said this, Odin began to wake up. Looking up, he saw his lord standing over him, an astonished expression on his face as he looked over Odin's entire body, before embracing him. Odin... just gave a confused "Wait, what?" Meanwhile, Zeke "checked out" Niles.
Zeke: Contested Roll to Cast Knit Instantly, +1 Reach DC 125: 44+22 (Magic)+10 (1/2 of Intelligence)+15 (Life 3)+30 (Gnosis 3)+15 (Stonecutter, Dedicated Tool)=136, Success!

Niles HP: 0 (Removed Crippling Effect)->32
Niles is still unconscious however...
"He's alright as well, though that sword nearly killed him. He'll need to rest for a while." Getting up, he turned to face the now-grateful Leo. "So, you're Leo, huh?"
Leo's face immediately hardened. "How do you know who I am?"
Zeke just laughed. "Your little sister told me all about you. Your dumb collar that keeps popping up, how uptight you are. She was always fun to talk to, though I'm sad I had to abandon her like that."
The Prince tilted his head at that. "Abandoned?"
The man nodded. "Yeah, Garon was doing his yearly 'inspections' of his army. Of course, that generally means, 'executed for being a traitor'. So, I created a fake double to leave behind in my bed while I ran away, though I made sure to give Elise a present before I left."
"Wait," coughed out the now-awake, sort-of lucid Odin. "You were the maniacal villain to give such a sweet girl a katana?"
Zeke chuckled. "Yeah, figured she could use it, or at least, learn to use it. Anyway, I don't think I introduced myself yet..." He cleared his throat, before extending his hand towards Leo and Ryoma, who had just walked over there. "My name is Zack Fair. But you can call me 'Zeke'."
Totally planned for Zack to be a wielder... Didn't, you know, plan on Sadaharu being one until making a last minute switch, no that's impossible!
Admittedly, after the sudden "crossover" (more a reference than anything) of Final Fantasy 7, I decided to at least make it a proper one with Zack. Though I was expecting him to expose his beautiful face under even direr circumstances, but the dice take away... and I guess the dice give back. Also, I know need to work on the finer details for the fluctuating dragon vein beyond "not catastrophic, but unusual". I also need to get some sle--ep. Yeah, that's a thing my body needs, I should get that.
I don't know anything about FF7. Can I read his page without being spoiled? I've heard the game is a classic. Final Fantasy classes are a different story (Crystal System - Seed And Job System - Seed ). Someone with final fantasy artifacts and powers alongside a Sword and Mage abilities should eventually become as unstoppable as an Exalted. Plenty of exalted characters have been killed though so he probably won't just carry our forces to victory.
So assuming Zeke didn't permanently destroy gear in the last update with his spell... what loot would the Fire Emblem Hero have on him?
Shulk is a nice guess, but no. Cyclonus is another good one actually, but all I will say is that one of the Wielders is good friends with Jetfire. (Note: Jetfire himself is not a Wielder). ...I also really should have thought of Bionicle when I was doing these... (Makes a few quick edits).
I... guess? If they were their Dissidia Incarnations, probably, but someone whose a planeswalker, another world of darkness template or even someone who's just extremely talented in one area (*HintHint*) could be quite powerful, especially if they got multidimensional access with the Space (or, I guess, Spirit) Arcana.
Indeed. Chaos Gods, Elder Dragons, even if we're giving these guys a super version of the force, the bad guy is still getting or already has a super version of the Death Star, as the phrase would sort-of go.
Don't worry, that spell only lasts one turn as cast, so they should have already turned back. It's a good thing I'm writing one small final part to this interlude isn't it.
As in Claud, etc? No, they were just some supernal, multiversal humor. Seriously, after a few rolls I decided to ask the dice a few leading questions, and they answered in an interesting fashion. Zeke IS Zack though. Like the Mongols, he's the Exception! Also, I believe you meant "name", not "bame".

I've played custom robo! Too bad most of what I remember are cheatcc locations for prototype and contraband bots. So many things from that site just burned into my brain. And the amazing weapon that launched a dragon-shaped projectile. I wonder if any mech-sized weapons, power armor suits, and similar toys are on the random weapon tables.
Perhaps we should break fate more to find out?
Interlude 3: Let the Battles Begin Pt. 3 and Final
Ryoma walked up to him, before grasping the outstretched hand. "Thank you for assisting us in this battle. You can call me Randall-" he sent a brief glare Scarlet's way. She just grinned unrepentantly. "-as I'd rather discuss my true name where others can here. You know who these men are, of course." He gestured towards Leo and his retainers, while the Prince glared at the newcomer. Following in Scarlet's precedent, "Zeke" simply grinned back.
Leo cleared his throat. "If we are to be working together, please call me 'Lionel' while we are on a mission. I'd rather no one discover my royal identity, if possible. As for these two," he waved his hand toward his retainers, "Call them Zero and-" for some reason he chuckled at this, "Owain." Odin just grumbled when he heard his lord snicker. Lionel looked at Scarlet. "Now, what are we to be doing? Our headquarters was discovered, do we have any safehouses that we can retreat to?"
Scarlet: Roll for Morality: 2
Scarlet nodded. "Yep, got a few, actually. But first..." She trailed off, before stabbing the dead troubadour in the head with her lance for no apparent reason. Looking up at her companions's astonished expressions, she simply said, "What? We have to make sure they're all dead before we leave, we can't just have them blabbing to the rest of the guards any important information. Besides, we still need to grab their equipment." With that said, she bent down to grab the Troubadour's staves, which had rematerialized by this point.
Ryoma: 36
Leo: 65
Odin: 63
Zack: 11
"SCARLET!" growled Zack, his expression monstrous, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" She raised an eyebrow at this.
"I already told yo-"
"NO!" he interrupted, "We are not double-tapping people just to maintain secrecy. We're revolutionaries, not Turks!" Ryoma and Leo looked to each other, being unfamiliar with the term. "If people find out that we are willing to go this low just to accomplish what we want to, we will be no better than the Nobles we are fighting against. We fight monsters..." he looked away for just a moment. "...We shouldn't try to become them."
Zack's appeal to reason: 8 (That's... surprising...)
Scarlet just scoffed. "Really, Zeke? You've been with us for how long, now? This is far more merciful than what these servants of pigs deserve. They've never had to beg for food, sell themselves into servanthood, slavery, or worse; All they do is just lie on their backs for their oh-so-gracious masters to rub their bellies like the good little dogs they are. At least now they've had a taste-"
"Scarlet" interrupted Ryoma. "We still have to make sure we don't go overboard with all of this. At the very least, so that the Nohrian Nobility don't immediately take it out on the people." Truth be told, Ryoma wasn't exactly a fan of what Scarlet was doing either, and was hoping that he at least could persuade her to stop. Leo and Odin, meanwhile, obviously didn't like what she was doing, but there reactions weren't nearly as visceral as Zeke's had been.
Ryoma's appeal to reason: 92 (Because of course!)
At his words, Scarlet stopped. "You know what?" she finally said, "Fine. We'll do it your way. We're still taking their equipment, we still have that shortage after all." She then bent down near the corpse of one of the mercenaries to grab his sword and shield. The others joined in, but with much less enthusiasm. Throughout all of this, Ryoma could not help but think to himself:
"I hope she can learn to rein in that anger of hers against the Nobility. She will do more harm to this movement than good if she does not."

Interlude of an Interlude: Siegbert in the Middle
Today was terribly cold, thought Moira, heir to the Duchy of the Icy Passages and wife to the Crown Prince of Nohr. Of course, it was summer in Nohr, so it was only "terribly cold" and not "bloody damn cold" like usual. You'd think someone who had been born and raised in, well, the Icy Passages would be more used to the cold, but Moira was a noble, and thus was safely protected from such a "complication". As it were, she cursed the name of whatever dragon or god invented the cold, both the disease and the climate, as she was currently suffering from both.

How Good Will His Caretakers be?: 31, Not Good, again
How Good is the Deeprealm: 40, could be better
*Several Rolls Later*
...Poor Siegbert...
It wasn't like her Husband was being of any help. All he did was listen to his daddy dearest, go off to war, and leave her at the cold house with the brat. And it's not like he was any good in the bedroom the few times he WAS home. Thankfully, she no longer had to deal with the child now that he was in a Deeprealm, honestly, it was such a pain to have to clean up his crap, especially when they had servants who'd normally do it, but no, tradition stated that the Mother would always clean up the child until he was weaned... She shook her head, she was starting to mentally rant again. In any case, she no longer needed to deal with the brat, and now could do whatever she wanted with her time... Once she was done with her cold, that is.
Moira: 79, It's above a 75, I'll take it.
As she hurried back to bed after being forced to dine with dignitaries for the past several hours, her eyes caught sight of a piece of paper on her husband's office desk. Curious, she took a look at the first line.
"Good Evening to all of you people of this Great Kingdom of Nohr."
It must have been a speech or something that he was working on, likely the one he was going to do for the Commoner's in one of the nearby towns, she forgot exactly which one. But as she looked down the page, it just repeated the same line over and over...
"Good Evening to all of you people of this Great Kingdom of Nohr." "Good Evening to all of you people of this Great Kingdom of Nohr."
"Good Evening to all of you people of this Grate Kingdom of Nohr."

Yes, I MIGHT have been slightly inspired by the Shining. And yes, it's been a while since I last updated, I know. I had to go down to PORTLAND to help my buy my mother a new car, and the very next day I was "volunteered" to help set up a party. Needless to say, I have not been happy these past few days.
Also, poor Siegbert. Seriously, just from the rolls I've gotten of his future, he's going to be the Woobie of this fic, moreso than even MOZU. Just for example:
*Shrugs* It's a possibility, but it doesn't HAVE to be possession. Simple Madness spells can also do the trick, after all.
Speaking of which, just to let you guys know, there are a number of people who I can guarantee are NOT possessed. Namely:
Mozu, Corrin, Azura, Sadaharu, Hana, Nyx, Ryoma and the Awakening Trio. Oh, and Takumi as well (Thank you Natural 1's)
Deeprealms
The deeprealms are FE14's excuse for child units to be a thing. They're basically little pocket dimensions where time goes faster and all the parents abandon their kids there while they fight in the war.
