It's not currently in the world, but circumstances may change (and no, it's not related to the Reality Alterations) and so Dragonslicer's Wielder may pay this world a visit. Considering he's a Chunnibyo, this could be good or really really bad.

You know, I forgot to double check what "Shifting the Odds" said it did. I'm taking a more "liberal" *CoughCough* Munchkiny*CoughCough* interpretation in saying that it finds what you are looking for, even if impossible otherwise, in 24 hours, or 1 hour with the reach. Essentially, fate makes it so that you just so happen to find what you were looking for within that time span. Of course, this won't be the encounter where you rescue Oboro, because I'm also going with the interpretation that if it's easier to do, the spell will instead take you to the person most likely to help you find what you are looking for. Cheesy, I know.
It is nice to see that Mozu's gotten the hang of using magic in combat. She's aiming for a high score in Paradox results, right? Poor Mozu. She started off the chapter so well.
This is what happens when you have a big hammer and refuse to use it! We need to train Wrath of the Beast after all.
There's actually a mistake with the paradox roll, since I forgot that she also has a dedicated tool in the form of Coinspinner, which reduces the number of paradox dice she rolls by 2. Since that would have put it at zero, she instead would have rolled a "chance die" (a.k.a. DC 90 for paradox) to get a point in paradox. The result would have been the same, however, since I rolled the 90 first, I just put the 68 first in aesthetically pleasing order.

And the Dark Mage replied with "SAMURAAAAIIII!!!". As the energy around the two literally began to escalate to previously unheard of levels, the yelling increased from both fighters... But in the end, it was the Dark Mage who bested the Samurai. With a cry of "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!" his spell went off into Hinata's sword before traveling up the blade and into his arm, causing him to tense his muscles in the opposite direction.

I swear I'm not intentionally trying to make these guys into anime characters, it just happens. But seriously, we now have Kamina-Mage, or Kamimage as I shall temporarily call him. Him and Hinata are... going to go far, it seems.
Also, wow, Monster!Mozu is a terrifying Mozu. I really shouldn't have made Wrath of the Beast so strong, but oh well, what can I do?

I'm also not a fan of people having a tool for everything. As it stands, Mozu has Fate Magic, A Pretty good sword (which, if nobody's noticed, has been getting more powerful and accurate with each Arcana rank she gets), A powerful anti-tank hammer, a ranged option in her mother's bow (which hasn't gotten as much use as I might have liked, I planned on it being upgraded eventually thanks to the power of love ) and a naginata, which admittedly I really need to get a replacement for her. Plus the Beaststone of course. That's all three colors covered, and both ranged and melee options, along with buffs and debuffs with magic. That's a lot of options for her and I'd rather it doesn't keep growing. I... never had any complaints about her having one or the other though? I just had a complaint that you chose for us.
And we can probably just drop the naginata honestly. We don't even use the thing. I wouldn't mind dropping the bow either as a weapon, maybe keep it for family keepsake or something.

Well, hopefully I did and I won't have to retroactively give XP, which is always a hassle when you use formulas for it. *Shudders* That being said, this isn't the end of the Chapter, we still have Oboro to save and Mysterious Ally ??? to talk to! Surprising that he didn't bother to help with the people dying though. I was sure his mother raised him with better manners than that.
We also have the matter of Kamina-Mage. What do we do with him? Even if we recruit him, it's not like he's just going to pull out a Gurren Lagann to ride around in. *Stares at Dice* At least, I hope he doesn't.
I want our mysterious ally to give their input before the Mage is killed or given any offers.
