Karen blushes and smiles.
"Well of course Im pretty."
She then smiles and lears at you.
"Your Pretty, Im pretty why don't we go to my room and be pretty together?"
You feel the heat rise to your cheeks.
"Karen dont kid."
She frowns.
"Pete I need to tell you some thing and if you don't like me after this. Well it will suck. Pete Im um."
"Have you told him your half Alean yet?"
You jump in the air as Karens mom speaks she drinks a cup of coffee.
"MOM!"
"Get to the point Karen your a member of the Kryptionian warrior caste not a fancy science caste Kryptionian so get to the god damned point."
She sipps her coffee.
"Um yes so moms from Krypton and I."
Karen starts floating in the air.
"Im half Kryptionian."
You nod.
"So how did this."
Karen's mom interupts.
"I was part of Zods uprising against the opressive science caste we lost so I grabbed a space shuttle, turned myself into a popcicle landed on earth. When I crash landed outside New York I met this law student, he protected me from earth authorities, he also was damned good in the sack."
"MOM."
"Warrior Caste! So like I said he was good in the sack so I married him, didn't know Humans and Kryptionians could interbreed so I got knocked up with Karen here."
She shrugs.
"Mom I was the one who was suposed to tell him."
"You had ten years Karen thats more then enough time a Zor El should never pussy foot around that sort of thing."
Karen sighs and looks at you hopefully.
"Pete."

Karen smiles and rushes forward towards you, a burst of super speed ends causes her to knock you on your ass, she lands on top of you.
"Karen we have rules in this house get into a secured location before you mate."
"MOM!"
"You never know when some kind of animal or some sciance caste damned monster will interupt and either kill you or ruin the moment."
Karen gets off of you in a hurry.
"MOM."
"Warrior caste!"
As if that some how explained everything Karren helped you up as Karens Mom stared at the two, she put the coffee cup on a table and placed her plams on your foreheads.
"May the two of you be fertile and be granted victory in both love and battle. I bestow my approval may our houses become one."
She then grabbed a coffee cup, Karen blushes as the two of you get to your feet.
"Mom likes you."
"Yeah well Im a likeable guy, I wish people would stop assuming were dating."
Karen smiles.
"You will be mine."
You shake your head.
"Were just friends."
She poutes and grabs you buy the arm
"You know if you were a booger I would pick you first."
"Ewe, why Karen."
"Shush I am looking for the one pick up line that will make you mine."

"Fine one date."
Karen steppled her hands
"Excellent."
"So what do you want to do?"
"I kind of want to fly around."
"I cant fly Karen."
"Well your just going to have to put your arms and legs around me and ride me like a pony."
You stare at her and she smiled wickedly and bites her teeth in the air.
"How long have you been saving that one?"
"Three hours."
You sigh and go up to roof the two of you fly out of the city and into rural new york state. You have no idea how your able to hang on as she speeds through the air, you just know that you refuse to give her the satisfaction of screaming. You land out side a shack in the middle of the woods.
"Whats this place?"
"Its where my parents spent their first night together when they first met."
Karen pulled out a key and opened up the shack you followed her. The shack is isolated, you see a generator, the place looks like a small home. Its simple and Barren you see a photgraph on the wall.
"Thats mom in her uniform from the war."
"Oh so her home planet had a war?"
"Yeah Krypton was a pretty horrible place, caste system mom was a part of the resistance they lost but she was able to get off world before the science council could excute her for treason."
You look at the photograph.
"So what was Krypton like?"
Karen sat you down on the bed in the corner and leaned her head against your shoulder.
"Krypton was a cast system, scientists were at the top, then the artist caste, then the merchant castes, then the peasant caste, and finally at the bottom was the warrior caste. Krypton was a death world full of monsters and the warrior caste had to sleep outside of the city walls while the other castes lived in safety and luxury. Mom keeps telling me that earth is a lot better."
"Your dad?"
"Dad's from Gothom city you know over in new jersey, dads name used to be Jervis Tetch. Well anyways his college crush Alice or some thing dumped him so he went to New York during summer break to mope and then he found mom. They talked, and things got serious, he changed majors to make mom happy. Grand mom was just happy he found some one and when the summer was over dad and mom where hitched and mom was pregnant with me."
"Why did your dad change his name?"
"Jack Star makes more money then Jervis Tetch, well that and he wanted to thank the heavens for sending mom into his life."
You see a photograph of Karens dad in a halloween costume.
"The Entire worlds falling to ruins and poor batman's off his tea?"
"Dad's a public defender, he was the riddlers lawyer before he retired."
"Isnt riddler over 80 years old?"
"And bat man has been active since the 1920's Gothom is weird Peter. Im glad dad decided to more to New York."
You decide to change the subject.
"So why is there a big hole where your chest is."
Karen sighs.
"You know the S on supermans chest?"
"Yeah."
"Thats the symbol of the science caste, the lack of a symbol the hole is a symbol of defiance, of a rejection of the caste system as a whole."
"It looks good on you."
Karen smiles at you.
"I know."
The two of you are silent.
"I feel weird."
"Peter if anythings wrong?"
"No its not you ever since I woke up from the spider bite, I just you know feel great."
you get out of the bed and do a little jump, your head slams into the ceiling, you put up your hand and kind of stick there. Karen looks at you.
"New Spell?"
"No."
She nods.
"So your a mutant?"
You fall to the ground.
"Probally."
Karen guides you back to the bed and brushes the dust and cobwebs off of you.
"You belive in destiny Peter?"
"Karen."
"No, I want you to think about it seriously think about it, miracles happen. Im a miracle think about it the chances of a lonely man finding a bride from the stars? The chances of that are impossibly low, the chances that the man I have had a crush on for ten years just getting super powers when Im worried about crushing him hurting him? Peter you and me are meant to be."
She smiles at you.
"Its getting lait Karen."
"Stay with me Peter, stay here for the night."

Karens parents
Karens Dad was a neurotic mess before he met Raya. He was hopeless with girls and before Raya had never even had a single friend. In college a blond girl named Alice asked him out and treated him well nice. For the first time in his life Jervis was happy, then Alice took him to a party.
A pig party, she got a prize for having the ugliest date and then laughed at him for thinking that he had a chance with her. Jervis was devastated, his parents told him that he would find a better girl, but he belived it was impossible. He spent summer break in the woods moping by himself on the verge of a complete nervious breakdown.
One night it was raining and he screamed to the heavens, he asked god why he had to be so lonely, why couldent Jervis Tetch find love? As he cried on his knees his mind briming with self loathing his mind screaming for some kind of revenge.
Then Raya's space ship crash landed in a pond, out side his shack. His moment of self pity was shattered and he rushed over to the pond. He walked into the space ship and saw a woman in a beeping glass coffen. The thing released itself and a woman fell to the ground.
Jervis nursed Raya to health and taught her english and about earth. The two of them got very close Jervis liked her but didn't know what to say to the beataful woman to the stars.
From Raya's perspective she's a rebel of the warrior caste.
Jervis was nice, she liked him she was single, he was single. She sneered at the long courtships of the science class and she asked him to be her mate.
They got married at the end of the summer, Raya hated scientists so Jervis changed his major. His parents glad that Jervis had found some one, any one were ok with it. He changed his name and became a public defender. Eventally he moved to New York.
Jack Star is a big beliver in fate, in god, and love. He's a happy man and loves his warrior princess.
Raya Star is a blunt and often tactless woman, she lets her husband handle any of the social nicities and if some idiot decides to mess with him well there will be words.
