Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Ai no Senshitachi (Soldiers of Love)

Question: Who does it hurt to make an edgy comparison? When is an edgy comparison accepted? If I compared his work on Yamato with Caesar's campaign against the Gauls would you be offended the same way? What about the sacking of Baghdad by the Mongols? Understand that jokes are jokes and they don't hurt anyone.

Btw, I wonder, when virtue signaling idiots compare the immigrant detention centers on various countries with Nazi concentration camps are you offended as well? Just checking if you have standards.
It's still just as bad lmao dude

Also your little "gotcha" falls flat because they're both horrible violations of human rights.

It's acceptable to make an edgy joke when it's funny, and you weren't funny. It was just cringe, and my comment about it being distasteful wasn't me expressing offense, it was offering advice.

And why would you even think that comparing two different violations of human rights are at all remotely comparable to the difference between a production decision and a war crime? You're not making yourself look good here.

A teaser for Yamato 2205 appeared:

Oho, that music! I recognize it~

And I thought the production team said that they were going to do a new plot this time? I don't have any complaints about bringing back old antagonists, but I really hope they try and give them new motivations and goals. At least that way they won't constantly be performing in the shadow of OG Yamato.

I miss the old internet where you could make edgy jokes without the joke police knocking at your door.

Next time I will use a lesser known atrocity and see whether anyone finds it offensive and tries to give me advice on how to speak on an online forum.

The problem is that you missed the point and fixated on the joke. Fukui compared himself with a franchize killer. I find it hilariously ironic and I haven't seen a counter argument regarding that yet.

but comparing ruining a franchise (whether it's JJ or Fukui)
The hole you are digging for yourself just keeps getting deeper. You made a bad joke that nobody found funny. Get over it.

Did you even read my last comment? Dude, a black hole is not that dense.
At this point I just have to assume that you think continually gaslighting me will somehow convince everyone that I missed the point, despite what I posted being publicly available
We all got the joke, we were all laughing about long before it got posted here.
Nobody laughed at your joke because, as has been previously stated, it wasn't funny and was in bad taste.
So, once again, the hole you are digging for yourself just keeps getting deeper. You made a bad joke that nobody found funny. Get over it.

Stop: This is not the Old Internet

It's one thing to make an edgy joke and its another to go and pick a fight with people telling you to calm down. As such, @Kodai Solo has been removed from the thread for 3 days.

I mean, it's okay. It kind of has to live up to that 30 minute long fan animation, and as such, it's very lacking. It's good in and of itself, but I don't think I'd call it a masterpiece.
True, not this person's most amazing animation, but they do put a lot of thought into the mechanical design of their fan models. One of their first videos is the fighter carousel launch procedure, and they did a great job of reproducing it from the show.

Apoliges for double post, but it seems a new Garmillas-centeric novel called Turbulenz de Dämmerung is being serialized soon.

Neat! Too bad that, like most other side materials, it won't get localized and released in the West.
Unfortunately, which is a shame considering how much effort they've been putting in recently to reach out to western audiences. Also, I just realized that Dessler's tower is meant to look like the bow of his original series ship.

Earth's had a few years to refit Yamato since the end of the War with Gatlantis. I would guess she's being assigned to space exploration. Though she could be a training ship, since she is the oldest wave motion powered ship in the fleet.

Exploration would be a good use for her considering she was designed for exploration in a sense. I think training ship would be a bit of a waste though. She may be the oldest Earth Wave Motion ship, but she's still only about six years old, on top of being one of the more powerful ships.
