Sultry and knowing. Hard to explain - maybe that is her character showing through - we've all seen vacant-eyed bimbos (Mmm, OMIGOD!) , and this is definitely someone with personality and intelligence. If she's a courtesan, she's the type people would go to for conversation and bedplay. That sounds horribly sexist, doesn't it? But I know that there were different classes of both Courtesans and Geisha, and the most respected were the well-spoken, knowledgeable, classy ones, not the ones you slept with. Hrm. Make sense?
