It's essentially just because she has the mentality of a kid and wants her parent to be proud of her though (which results in some really weird logic about what the best course of action for that is). I mean technically she is a kid so it makes sense.
 
So quick question does she not like being called a girl because she doesn't not like being reminded that she's a girl (and therefore can't be the king) or because she LITERALLY believes she's male?
