[X] Not So Mad
Shirou opened the door to his home, and held it open for Saber and Mordred. The Knight of Betrayal had finished her Ice Cream long ago, and was still clinging to Saber's hand like her life depending on it.
"Back already?" Asked a deep voice, as the source stepped around the corner. Saber and Shirou turned to the speaker, and Mordred had to look up to be able to see their face.
"Hello, Heracles." Shirou greeted, looking over him. "So... What happened while I was gone."
"Not much." The Berserker replied. "Illyasviel decided to control the chaos of the children by handing out a bunch of dodgeballs, and saying that they got a point for every time they hit me. But enough of that."
Heracles looked at Mordred, and took a moment to be amused at yet another person looking like Saber. "Hello, little one."
Mordred looked up at the giant, and muttered something that sounded like 'Kay.'
Heracles chuckled a bit, before crouching down to make his height slightly less intimidating for the girl. He was still taller then her, even when crouching, but he no longer dwarfed her to an absurd degree.
"Is that better?" Heracles asked. Mordred nodded slightly.
"Good. I wouldn't want to scare the new girl-"
"Don't call me a girl!" Mordred suddenly shouted, stamping her foot in frustration. Heracles blinked at her sudden lack of fear, but smiled.
"Oh? Alright, if you insist. What should I call you then?"
"Mordred!" Declared the girl. "My name is Mordred!"
Heracles raised an eyebrow, then looked up at Saber.
"It's a long story." Saber said. "I'll explain later."
"Very well." Replied Heracles. "Why don't you and little Mordred go see Illyasviel? Last I checked, she was out the back, making sure that Iskander didn't organise another attempt at overthrowing the tyranny of adults so that they could raid the cookie jar."
Saber nodded. "Come on, Mordred. We should meet the others."
Just then, a thought seemed to occur to Saber. "Gawain..."
Heracles and Shirou both realized what Saber meant.
Back during their original lives, Mordred had killed Gawain. While their reduction to childhood should prevent them from being as hateful as they otherwise would, Boudica and Nero's first meeting stood as a testimony for how violent squabbles can be, when hate ran that deep.
"...I've informed Illyasviel." Heracles noted, after a minute. Telepathy was useful, in that regard. "She's taking Gawain aside now to explain the situation, which should keep him from overreacting."
Mordred snorted. "Gawain's a big baby. He always overreacts."
"Be nice." Saber murmured.
After a minute, Heracles sighed. "Well, there's never going to be a good time to do this." He said. "So we may as well do it now. Saber, I'll-"
"No." Interrupted Saber. "Gawain was my Knight. He'll listen to me. Let me deal with this, Berserker."
"...Very well." The Greek Hero decided. Saber nodded, before leading Mordred out the back.
Shirou and Heracles looked at each other for a moment, before Heracles spoke.
"This place is starting to get crowded, you know." He noted.
"Yeah." Shirou replied. "I had to give up my bed a while back. I've been sleeping on the couch ever since Tamamo arrived."
"You realize that you don't have to have all of the little ones live here, right?" Heracles asked. "The Einzbern Castle has more then enough room for some of them, or even all of them."
"I wouldn't want to be a burden on Illya." Shirou replied.
"You know she wouldn't care, Shirou." Heracles countered. "In fact, she'd be delighted, because she knows that you would move in to look after the children."
Shirou didn't reply, and the conversation stalled into silence for a while.
"I never got the chance to thank you, for looking after Illya before all this began." Shirou eventually said.
"It was nothing." Heracles replied. "I was under Mad Enhancement for most of it, after all."
"But you still protected her." Shirou countered. "And she told me the story about the wolves. You had no orders to protect her then, and yet you still did."
"...Well, I could hardly just let her be mauled to death." Heracles replied. "Anyone else would have done the same, in my position."
"You were still there for Illya." Shirou retorted. "And for that, I have to thank you. She's lucky to have someone like you to protect her."
"She's even luckier to have a brother like you, to be concerned about her."
Another moment of silence passed.
"I've probably hidden from the little ones long enough." Heracles muttered. "They're probably going to bombard me with every ball in the house once I go back there, though. Could you walk in front of me, Shirou?"
"Ha ha ha."
And with that, the two went off to see the children.
What ludicrous shenanigans happened the following day?
[X] At the Emiya Residence...
-[X] Taiga threw a party for Mordred's arrival, which quickly dissolves into an eating contest between certain parties.
-[X] Boudica and Nero declared war on each other again. Where did they even get all the water balloons from?
-[X] Gawain, accepting that he can't pick a fight with Mordred, decided to help Robin prank her until she picked a fight with him.
-[X] Shinji came over, with a Monopoly board. You feel as if a Grail War would have a less bloody ending then this will...
[X] You took everyone to visit...
-[X] The Tohsaka Residence. Archer has been too entertained by the scenario recently, so he can help you look after them.
-[X] To the Matou Manor. Hey, they were bugging you to see a haunted house, and this is the closest you have...
-[X] To the Einzbern Castle. Heracles did suggest moving the kids there, so you may as well see if they like it...
-[X] To Ryuudo Temple. Medea would never forgive you if you failed to inform her about a new Saber lookalike.
