Another thing to think about is our name. I thought about it and came up with Paragon, before realizing that I got it all wrong. We are not some street level guy, and trying to define ourselves with a name is pointless. Rather, we should take a name and then define it for what we are, similar to how Alexandria, Captain America or Jack Slash are defined by their capes and not words. I am still unsure what name would be the best combination of lack of predetermined meaning and cool sounding that would be best fit for us. Mentioning All Might earlier made me think of One for All, but I am not sure if that quite fits?

Do you guys have any idea?

I'm fine with playing as an All Might type of character.

As for names...Stargazer?

Worry not! You will have information to better form a name with this coming chapter!

Nah the real question is who is our wingman? Alexandria who would live vicariously through the MC coz she's time locked or Legend?

Just a reminder, you've been friends with Rebecca for the last three months while both of you dealt with cancer of all things.

Or, and this is also a possibility. We take Contessa on pub crawl and act as each other's drunk wingman.

We won't need a wingman since we'll have Contessa as a girlfriend. No one else could compare to Miss Bullshit Precog as a waifu. :p

Contessa will sooner shoot out your shard than get into a relationship with you.

That being said, go for it. See what happens. Nothing will go wrong.

*Imagines Contessa creating a Path to having us fall into an abusive relationship with Donald Trump if we bother her enough.*

Lmao

Lets go for it, guiz. Seeking the impossible is always a worthwhile goal.

Doctor Mother won't allow that. She's make you David/Eidolon's punching bag, but you're power is too useful for you to be put through that kind of hell.

A functioning circulatory system. Something you won't have if you go down this path. :V

No regrets in the quest for love. Alex will forge miracles or die trying. No matter if it is Scion, endbringers or Contessa...he will never give up hope like a proper showmen hero.

Anyways, how much sway will we have in say the creation of the protectorate/prt?

If you remain with Cauldron, you'll be right there alongside Eidolon, Legend, Hero, and Alexandria when they propose the plan to Doctor Mother and the world as a whole. You'll be a founding member and if you play your cards right, you can be the leader.

So, a lot of say.

I'm not against the idea, but I actually meant it as who's going to go out and be our wingman/drinking buddy. I actually do not want to know what a drunk path to victory involves.

Hey it doesn't mean she'll want to be our wingman! I mean she might and we could go out an d be a hero together and meet up for drinks afterwards but I'm not sure if it'll have any effect on her time locked body.

I mean. Contessa can do lots of things because of her power. I just want her to stop using it for every little thing and actually love a little. Dunno about everyone else though.

So I do have a question about our voting. How much control do we have? Are we only able to nudge him to do things he would already be willing to do (therefore, we just choose options he would agree with), or do we have complete control over him?

So, powers aside, what are we going to do? I hope that we will manage to pull off All Might, being insanely charismatic, heroic and in general inspiring next generation, even our power taking backseat to our force of personality. That should be fun.

I suggest earlier that we go a good guy route like what you recommended, but also planning to go to college and study political science, eventually unmasking and running for President. Or maybe run in our unmasked identity. But either way, use Cauldron's resources to set ourselves up as a poltician who can bring about good change for Parahumans early on. Set up counseling programs to triggered capes. That sort of things.

Basically be a Cape version of Barack Obama.

Not so much in policy as much as his charisma. There is no doubt the most important issues that face Earth Bet are dramatically different to irl ones, so not comparing policy here. But Obama's charisma and drive, that is what I was imagining for the character.

Unless you have an issue specifically with the MC running for president or politics in general. That is quite the different way for the quest to go, and I understand if people don't want to go that direction in this quest.

I don't really want to run for president either, or any real position in politics, honestly.

I think that politics is certainly an interesting direction to take the quest in but I fear that it will split focus a bit too much. Better to not go into politics. At best we can use Cauldron resources to force politicians into enacting good change for parahumans. Perhaps if we weren't going to be a powerful parahuman I would be fine with that direction but our talents are better used in the field.

Not to mention, we are part of Cauldron. If they wanted to take over politics, Contessa could do it with little effort, Numberman could also probably do it.

[X] Head out of your room
-[X] Go looking for someone, see if they can explain any lingering questions you might have.

-[X]Muck around with your powers a bit. Nothing too intensive, just seeing what can we do.

You have control. The only thing you don't have is what happens because of that and or who you run into. That happens via a private dice roll for my eyes only.

In terms of character, Alex is willing to do almost anything. His life was never hard enough for him to take a firm stance on anything. He cares for his family, as they are the only true friends he has. He was willing to give up any chance of a social life to work to help pay off his father's habits. His brother forced him to study, and his sister forced him to talk to those he worked with so he didn't end up a social dunse.

For the last three months, he was keeping Rebecca company because she was the only one else in the hospital in the same boat as him. He couldn't stop the doctors from lying, but he could at least say that he knew the truth and was willing to talk to her normally despite the conditions they were in. Rebecca, in turn, kept him in a schedule so Alex didn't fall into depression.

*Quickly adds in polotics route just in case*

I... I honestly never saw the quest going that way. That being said, I am working on it to cover it to make sure.

Do we even know we have powers IC yet?

He just drank the super juice, which knocked him out, cured him of cancer and grew his hair back.

Yeah, he probably knows.

No, Alex has no idea he has powers.

All he knows is he's cured.

Cauldron Vials are technically weaker than natural triggers. Yes they start out with a super high power level, but unlike natural triggers, they aren't instinctual. You have to learn how to use and activate your power till the point that it is instinctual. And right now, Alex hasn't had reason to even assume something is different about him. Cured yes, but superpowered? He'd sooner believe he was on an acid trip than believe he has powers.

I actually really like president idea. With it, we can set precedent for parahumans being productive members of society rather than running around punching each other in the face.

Thanks for the clarification. :)

Ah, I was under the impression Doctor Mother explained to him it was a power vial, bad assumption on my part then.

Smart idea? Yeah sure. I just am not really interested in a political quest, for one it will bring everyone's political opinions up for debate.

I've yet to see a single in story/quest political debate be fun or productive, myself.
