[X] Ask where Contessa is. If she can help Matthew, then it should be simple to help you... right?

I stand by my previous statement that PTV will get us past our trauma and insecurities.

Ok so I might come back to this quest. I have one question: what about our power can't be copied by David? What part is stronger? Because it seems to me we chose the absolute worst vial.

David doesn't copy powers, he has a wide range of powers that can run out so to say.
And it's gravity control. If you think that's bad, it's only because Alex is lacking in the "control" department.

You still haven't answered my question at all. What stops David saying I want Gravity powers + 2 others. What can we do that he can't?

This quest has certainly turned out to be more relationship-focused than I expected. The majority of votes seem to be about who the main character goes to talk to, and it's all very intimate. I dunno, Superhero-Team-as-Family is about the last thing I was expecting from Cauldron. I figured it would be more Justice League like. Everyone is all very professional and polite, but they're not pals or anything.

[X] Ask if you can go with anyway. Nothing dangerous or risky seems like a good way to settle down.

Well, he can do everything. Problem is, that everything can run out. So he uses Gravity powers.
Uses them too often and they are gone.

Also, don't forget, David also can't be everywhere at once. Only because he is the strongest doesn't mean Alex is useless.
Besides, with your logic, any vial would be the worst compared to David, which would be true, but is also completely irrelevant.

But, I will be fair. Explain to me exactly why you think Alex has the worst vial.

David doesn't get to requisition specific powers. He tries to do something and his meta-power gives him powers picked to be able to accomplish the task at hand based on what it thinks he needs.

Now by that standard we probably can't "do anything he can't" in terms of specific tasks to be accomplished, because his powers will always give him a way to do it. Which is why Eidolon is bullshit.

Well, if any other origin was chosen, then everything in Cauldron would have mostly stayed the same as per cannon. Alex is the one that wants to be friends with the people he's working with, everyone else doesn't mind, but it's not their focus. Alex is the one driving the relationships because he doesn't have the confidence to do the hero thing on his own as the last few chapters have pointed out.

Either way, this quest was going to be character focused from the start. Sorry if that's not what you were expecting, but it's what I feel would be the best building block for the world of worm. After all, you have to really care about something to fight for it as hard as they did.

[X] Ask where Charles is. Even if he's forgotten it, you haven't, and you're not going to just let this lie.

Very simple. Let's say you chose Alexandra or Ledgend. These things are made out of 3 powers each.

Alexandra can fly, has super strength/durability, thinker powers.
Ledgend can fly, breaker heal, and blaster whatever he wants.
David is The Shaker. I mean he uses it for other things but primarily he is a flying god shaker/blaster.

Our guy can control gravity. That's it. Nothing cool happens to his body, he will never be anything more then a flying shaker with a minor thinker rating due to sensing mass...it's boring as fuck.

Now how could you change this to make it more exiting? Perhaps make him a Shaker 12 to Davids Trump 10. Certain things that he can do that David can't.

As for the rest, like that awesome tinker vial...well I hardly need to explain that I hope...

Or give him a singularity body like an Endbringer, I'd buy that.

I didn't.

Legend has perfect vision. Alexandria is invulnerable to many striker effects.

He can fly, he can sense anything in a massive range, he has a wide variety of ways to disable the enemy.
You can fraction their powers into as many parts as you want.
Gravity manipulation is bullshit power with near infinite utility.
I don't understand this desire to turn the main character into Saitama's expy. You remember how boring actual fights with Saitama involved are?

[X] Head to Rebecca. It might not be the time, but this can't wait any longer.

No sense in dragging this out. Charley is fine and can wait.

I'm curious. Have you read Worm before?
I'm just trying to gauge where you think fairness gets involved.

The inherent kharmactic balance of the universe aside however I've got to question if you understand the powers here properly. Alexandria's isn't flight and toughness/strength and thinker powers, her shard put her body in a 'time locked' state and that the physical abilities she displays are a combination of the shard jerking her around like a real boy, the thinkers are due to the fact that since her brain is frozen the shard basically uploaded her mental processes into itself. Similarly Legends power isn't flight + supervision + laser +... its that he is able to convert his body into light and freezing because I dunno.

Finally we have WoG that this shard was the possibly the second most powerful option. And that Alex is a planet killer if he wants to be. Just look at our first David interaction if you want proof of that.
You are not bullshit, you are the shit. :V

I said that you will like what you picked, and despite not getting the High Priest Shard, you will enjoy the gifts this shard will give.

I guarantee it.

Point of note: Three out of those four powers were possible to be picked up by Alex. I consider all of the powers somewhat equal. So that should say something about the golden light that Alex ended up with.

That would destroy the planet. So don't do that. If you could control gravity, just look at someone that pisses you off and turn the off switch on gravity.

Turn that bastard into a reverse meteor so by the time that he realized how badly he fucked up, he's in orbit! Or on fire. Or Ash. Whatever works really.

If Alexandria wanted to kill a planet then her immortality would be the most important aspect by far.

I feel like the sooner this gets done, the better.

Who said controlling gravity was Alex's only power?

I didn't.
I find it worth noting that Alex has been smashed into walls multiple times at quite high speeds, and doesn't seem to have any brain damage to show for it.

I would have gone for Contessa like in the previous vote but it is kind of ridiculous that we haven't even met Hero.
