[] You don't know. He came here to be part of an empire, but he surrendered. Leave him with the others, don't waste any more time on him.

I kinda want something in between. I feel hearing out bad guys is fine, but I don't really want to out right condone what he did like the first option seems to imply to me.

This is the only option that will let us hear him out. It's better to at least hear what this crazy wants since there's bound to be others that are crazy like him. We can always lock him up afterwards

Overall, what does hearing him speak cost us? Likely nothing.

I'm starting to get annoyed with the overloading shit. This fight should have been positively easy.

You say that, but I'm of the opinion that worm has never operated under the assumption that just because you have a good power that you should be invincible. Alex started a fight in a room of armed parahumans and got out with a shot to the shoulder.

He's lucky.

Rebecca only did so well because nothing could hurt her, and she has no reservations about using 100% at any given time.

Okay I know it's explained that he is relatively new to his powers ,but come on the most he can do without overloading is push 'a' person and crush some metal.

Ok, normally, yes, the overload wouldn't be reached.

However, Alex has already gone through an entire day of patrolling with David, flying around with Rebecca, and after getting here, tanking a machine gun blast of metal shards from one of the most powerful blasters to ever walk the earth, along with having his concentration broken by getting shot in the shoulder.

Alex has done a lot today.

Worms power levels are weird.
On one hand even middling/low level parahumans are considered so dangerous by the PRT that troopers aren't expected to engage outside of extreme situations, instead providing backup to their own parahumans. On the other hand, there are a lot of lame duck powers and Taylor does quite a fair amount of fighting with just her baton, something that there must be baseline humans out there who are better than her at.
On one hand, fights are a fast paced back and forth were anyone can win if they apply their powers right, and letting your guard down can leave you crippled and blinded for the cops to pick up. But then again even if it was a bluff there was no question in Taylors mind that Alexandria was capable of dropping the Undersiders one by one, in rapid succession, so there is absolutely different degrees of power.
Fights can also be carefully calculated chess games in which good strategy won the day before the first punch was even thrown. Or maybe the Undersiders manage to improvise their way out of the situation.

So yeah, I totally understand and agree with where you are coming from, but it's worth acknowledging that Wildbow wasn't hugely consistent with any sort of theme running through the stories fights.

Yes, but he's also triumvirate-tier in power. While he isn't invincible, there shouldn't have been anything there capable of actually harming Alex, let alone a bullet.

Staff Notice - Coming into a thread to snipe/get a rise out of other posters.
Revisits the quest.

Is the character still a lame duck with hilariously nerf bat author fetish? Who constantly wants him to get hurt and we are all butthurt over not grabbing the Black Formula.

Reads last chapter. Yep; still as fucking annoying as before. Welp, time to unsubscribe.

Bye. If you want to leave then fine, but we don't need nor want to hear about it.

Helping us and then surrendering is commendable. However, that doesn't wave away all that you did, crimes are forgotten and a pat on the back. It doesn't work that way.
What crimes? Do we know if he commited any yet? We are rather early on the timeline, decades really. Marquis might not even be that deep in the crime yet.

Hey @IKnowNothing , could you explain difference between second and third vote? Both seem to just leave Marquis with captured E88 members.

Oh this is the problem.

For clarification, Alex was hit with a blaster power, not a normal bullet. He put up a shield to block bullets but gravity needs to be extremely strong to bend energy out of the way so it got through.

I apologize if it wasn't conveyed correctly. I see where you got idea from so no harm no fowl.

Hi.

Bye.

We are giving him a chance to explain himself not giving him a get out of jail free card. We needed answers on what precisely was going on here anyway so starting the interrogation while he's still mostly willing is the best call.

Okay, that's mean. Not all of them are Nazi's, some are assholes.

The real question is who's the asshole and who's the Nazi...

He deserves to be heard out at least.
