I'm going through a Persona phase again, trying to catch up on this. It's nice to see that it's still going!
Makoto Yuki, Shinjiro Aragaki, Goro Akechi, and Ken 'Nemi' Amada have all done the same impossible thing. What was it?
They all remembered a Q event...right as they were about to die, in the case of the first three. And though Nemi hasn't died, it could be argued that he's not quite alive either.

Okay, let's start a map!

Make sure you don't put a wall where there shouldn't be one, or else life will become a lot more difficult!

Branching Paths
Your map doesn't need to be that detailed. It doesn't quite matter where everything is, so long as you take note of the biggest landmarks to navigate by, such as the desk or the window.

But even those details can come later. You need to know how many rows of bookshelves are connected to the main entranceway. If you miss that one exists, and end up wandering down it later... that's how you get really lost.

Once you go off the map, the map is useless to you.

So you walk along the edges, and when there's a new shelf, you mark it down. By the time you get all the way around, there are nine paths marked on the page, the only difference between them being where they are in relation to the furniture.

When you're done, Akira looks at the map closely. Then he turns around, counting all of the paths in reality. "I didn't think there'd be this many of them."

"I'm still not sure we didn't miss any." You've counted multiple times, just to make sure. But if there's this many paths, there could be others. But every time you count, there's nine paths.

Ten counting the way you came in, so at least it's a round number.

You don't feel like going down any of those paths right now, but if you make copies of this beginning bit and pass them around to your friends, maybe you can put something together over time.

If all of you took different paths and put what you learn together... That might just be the best way of doing things.

...Now to find a copier...

You arrive home with a couple of papers you haven't passed out yet, and you don't even have time to put them away before Elizabeth shows up. "My brother would like to speak with you at some point after the upcoming full moon." You nod, because while you don't think she'll respond violently to being told no, it's not just her that's asking for this.

You think it's a bit weird that he's specifically asking for after the full moon, but whatever. Maybe he just needs more time to prepare.

You don't think you'll make this your top priority, but you'll get around to it eventually.

It's probably for the best that you don't do anything too weird this weekend, anyway. Even ignoring what this weekend is, things around the dorm are weird enough already.

[ ] Junpei-san's been asking if anyone else's been playing his video games, which is... strange? Why would anyone do that? When would they have time to do that?

[ ] Aigis-san is using the communal computer. Which isn't something you've seen her do before. You sort of assumed she could directly connect to the internet from her head.

[ ] You'd like to examine that ornament a bit more closely... maybe see how it looks on you. Or if it's even safe to wear. You still don't know where you got it.

Oh, wow. I'd really want to see any of those; so well done on picking them I suppose Seeker.

Off the top of my head I think we missed nearly every opportunity during the event to talk about Junpei's game, but with how we just recommended it to Futaba that might have an effect on the next one so should probably actually follow up on it ourselves at some point; and Aigis using the computer could very well be a direct result of the problem she ran into with being unshakably confident in her database's integrity - maybe she remembered it better than the others due to her nature or Makoto's comment just cut that deep or something?

But the last choice just barely pulls ahead for me; both for the practical reasons of knowing in-character to equip a decently useful item and for the emotional reasons of hopefully keeping Rei and Zen from being completely forgotten.

What can I say? I find Junpei entertaining.

All right, we'll do the simple thing.

Not exactly time-sensitive, but still worth doing at some point. May as well be now.

Free Ornament
The ornament has been sitting in the same place on your desk since you realized it was there. You still have no idea where it came from, only that it's here and there's something special about it.

This doesn't narrow things down anywhere near as much as it should.

In the time that you've left it there, it hasn't really done anything. It looks pretty, in the context of something sitting on its own. You aren't sure it would look good on you. Or if you should be trying to wear it in the first place.

But you can't just leave it there.

You don't know why, but it feels like it'd be wrong to do that. Like whatever's important about it, it's too important to leave behind. You have even less idea where this feeling comes from than usual, but you don't want to ignore it. Just in case it turns out to be something that will save you a lot of difficulty later.

You pick it up. It doesn't feel quite like glass, but that's the first guess you have as to the material it's made of. Assuming it's a material found in nature to the first place. It's colder than if you left a drinking glass out at room temperature, and your fingers slide over it easily, with just enough friction that you don't drop it.

If you did drop it, something tells you it wouldn't break. It feels sturdier than that.

Like it was made to be thrown around.

It throws light around pretty well, but you're not going to do any tests with that. You know better now. Refraction and Kouha are a bad mix.

This is all the information you're likely to get just by holding it. You turn the ornament over in your hand, watch as the light scatters to different parts of the room, and take a breath.

And put it on.

...Nothing really feels different. Maybe if you got someone else to scan you while you wore it, you'd know what it does, if it's something that effects the person wearing it. And you're going to assume it effects the person wearing it, because why else would it be made to be worn?

You give it a bit longer, and keep wearing it while working on your homework. Nothing changes.

You conclude that, whatever effect this accessory has, it's either benign, or incredibly slow-acting. And that's about all you can figure out about it, without either asking someone else or doing risky experimentation. You aren't sure you're ready for either of those things right now.

...You also aren't sure you're ready for the full moon.

There's one obvious reason for this: It's the worst possible day it could happen. Even ignoring the stories about the last timeline as something that couldn't happen in this one, it was never going to be a good day.

And that's the reason you can easily give to others. Another, equally pressing issue is that you have no weapons with origins you can explain. Wherever the Nihil Spear went, it hasn't done anything to reveal itself. You still possess the Treason Couse, but if someone asks you where you got it, you're not sure what you'll tell them.

Assuming anyone bothers to ask. You never said anything that time Akihiko-san decided to wear Jack Frost and Pyro Jack puppets into Tartarus instead of actual boxing gloves.

But if you did ask, you think Akihiko-san would be able to answer where he got them from. Your spear isn't even the only unexplainable thing you own!

So that's the bad news. The good news is, if any of those reasons make you feel like you should sit this out, it's unlikely anyone would have a problem with it!

...Do you think you should sit this out?

[ ] You have a lot of reasons not to participate. So you won't. The others will be fine without you for a night, right?

[ ] You'll go, but purely in a support capacity. Still, even if you have a reason for it, not carrying a melee weapon is more likely to give you odd looks than carrying a strange one.

[ ] You'll go, carrying the Treason Couse. You just have to hope the night is too busy for anyone to ask about it, because you have no idea how you'd answer them.

[ ] You'll go, both carrying the Treason Couse and wearing the strange ornament. It's likely you'll come under scrutiny, but... maybe it'll be worth it to find out what it does? If you can figure it out here, anyway.
