To be fair, Kouha wasn't a thing during P3, and it would still be Bless-type like Hama. So if it resists Hama, then logically it would resist any other Bless-type magic. That and the wiki makes it clear Zio would be Ken's best option.
Huh. Ok then. Zio is only our best option that we're aware of cuz it's the only thing we have that it supposedly doesn't null or reflect.

Okay, just lightning.

You know, once you have any amount of healing available, this boss isn't hard at all- it's the only one in Thebel I beat on the first try. Now, let's see if that's true here.

The First Campaign- End
No physical stuff... all right, that's not too difficult to work with. After all, most of what you can do is magic, you're not really losing out on a whole lot. So, for lack of ability to stab things, you switch to using electricity, firing off your first Zio as soon as Nemesis is summoned, as the others cast their own spells.

Unlike the prior opponents that you've faced, the onslaught of attacks does not outright obliterate the Shadow, though it appears to be struggling to keep itself from dissolving into the same kind of goop as all the others did. And, despite the magical force you've all managed to summon up against it, it still manages to attack, spinning around and slamming into Yukari-san, who is thrown to the ground by the force.

The next one that it attacks is Koromaru, who somehow manages to remain standing. This makes exactly zero sense, but the Shadow appears to have lost momentum, and that's probably the important thing here.

Koromaru barks, and the Shadow catches fire, before melting into a black puddle. All things considered, you can't help but feel a bit let down by this.

You know it's a good thing it was defeated so easily, but at the same time, you expected a bit more difficulty. Sighing, you dismiss Nemesis for the time being.

"Are you all right?" Akihiko-san asks, pulling Takeba-san to her feet.

"Y-yeah... It just... came at me really quickly. I-I'll be fine." She still seems to have some problems standing up...

(Do you need healing items?) Mitsuru-san asks. (There's a large number of them in the briefcases you left with me, and some that would help to restore magic, as well.)

"Will we need it?"

There's a pause, and then, (...I believe it would be best to be safe.) Given that she's the one who knows what's up ahead, you think you can trust her on this.

Takeba-san shrugs, trying not to wince as she does so. "All right, then. Send them up." She remembers to activate the teleporter as she says that, which is good, because you imagine it would have made things much more difficult otherwise.
Rule number one for survival as a Persona User: Never annoy your Navigator.
Appearing in a flash of light are a few vials of medicine with several different labels. You're pretty sure you're not supposed to mix them, but you're also pretty sure most people don't get the power to throw lightning around from sugar and caffeine, so you've got a bit of wiggle room.

There's also some softly-glowing white liquid, you assume that's the magic-replenishing stuff. You notice that Mitsuru-san has sent you just enough to get you back to full power.

Given how easy these Shadows have been to beat, and that there's only two floors remaining that you absolutely have to go through, you have no idea why you'd need to be at full power, but, again, you're going to trust the judgement of the person who's seen what's coming up next.

(There doesn't appear to be anything on the next floor.) Given your first Tartarus experience, that is concerning on many levels. (Fortunately, the floor is not all that big, either, so you shouldn't have too much to worry about there.)

Going unspoken is the fact that you'll probably have something to worry about on floor sixteen.

[ ] Point this fact out to the others.

[ ] Of course, floor fifteen is still more worrying to you...

[ ] Try not to stress out about this stuff. Your team's strong. You'll be fine.

All right, time to see where this goes...

What's coming next would have eventually happened no matter what, but the timeframe has been moved up quite a bit from when it was originally planned. Hence the free healing. Should be fun!

So time to learn that the upper levels of Tartarus are sealed away huh? Wonder if they can figure out how to bypass that.

I'm more worried by the free healing. It implies we're not just going to get a nice empty Full Moon Barrier.
(Though I suppose the boss fight could divebomb us shortly after the Barrier)

The free healing could be due to Mitsuru's concern over not being able to sense beyond the 16th floor

A Sudden Gust of Wind Before Your Eyes- Part 1
"So, not that far to go, huh?" Takeba-san takes her first steps onto the nearby stairway, turning back to the rest of you. "Once we figure out what's up on the sixteenth floor, it'll probably be time to leave."

You don't have a problem with that. Honestly, it feels like a lot longer than an hour has passed, though you're sure Mitsuru-san would tell you otherwise if you asked her.
I'm pretty sure that, so long as you come in through the front door, time doesn't actually pass here. Would explain a lot.
Still... you can't help but feel that she's a bit too relaxed about this. "There's probably something we'll have to deal with there. If something's blocking Mitsuru-san from scanning past it..." And while you have no idea how tall Tartarus is, you're sure there are a lot more than sixteen floors.

Honestly, if there weren't, you'd expect the floors there are to be a lot bigger, to say nothing of the staircases. Not that you'd be able to tell for sure unless you find a window, and there aren't that many of those.

"I know Shadows can get a lot stronger than this..." Akihiko-san agrees. "So one that's really powerful has to show up eventually." You sort of hope that's just Caesar's new power throwing him off a bit, but... somehow, you don't think it is.

Then again, your own ability to judge how strong something is relative to yourself is less than completely accurate, so... that makes two of you.

"Don't remind me..." Takeba-san groans. "Look, just two more floors, and then we'll head back as soon as we can. Maybe we'll even be able to not fight anything."

Mitsuru-san doesn't say anything. You aren't sure whether that means anything or not.
I'm starting to get a really bad feeling about this...
Still, Takeba-san's plan sounds nice. Especially the not fighting anything part. You've got all your energy back, and can probably keep going as long as you have to, but you still think you've had enough for the night.

Still, if you have to keep going... you're glad it's the weekend. Nobody will expect you to get out of bed for anything, you can just sleep as long as you want.

Well. Once you get back, anyway. The Dark Hour might be nice as an extra hour of sleep, but other than that... you think you wouldn't really miss it if it were gone.

Especially if it means you'd never be expected to come back to this tower.

Like Mitsuru-san said, the fifteenth floor is empty of anything. If you're a bit quicker to run to the stairs than you usually are, Takeba-san doesn't question it. Maybe it's just because Akihiko-san moves with the same urgency, and Koromaru, being a dog, is caught up in all the excitement.

You don't know. And you're probably never going to think to ask her, because it honestly doesn't matter, especially compared with what is waiting for you on floor sixteen.

Once you get there, the first thing you are aware of is light. A sickly green curtain of light, cascading from above, and even when you look up, you don't see any kind of ceiling. There appears to be something within the light itself, pitch-black despite the radiance that surrounds it, and you know just by looking at it that there's no way through.

In front of the light, though... that's the most important thing there.

Or rather, the most important person.

You blink a few times, to confirm for yourself that you're not just seeing double. There are, in fact, two Morganas sitting there. One of them is the one you're used to, a normal cat aside from the fact that his eyes are too bright of a blue to be natural. The other is a magical girl mascot with golden eyes.
Oh, this can only end well...
You don't need a Navigator to tell you exactly what it is you just walked in on. The one with blue eyes is the regular Morgana. The gold-eyed one, his Shadow. And your group, the Persona Users who are going to have to try and keep this from getting out of hand.

"Morgana?" You ask, hoping that things haven't gotten too bad just yet. "What are you doing here?" And how did he get past all the Shadows earlier?

"Why shouldn't I be?" The Shadow asks. "This is a Shadow nest, after all."

"...I was talking to the other Morgana." You can already tell that, if things stay this way for long, it's going to get really confusing, really quickly.

Not that your friends don't seem to already be confused. "So... that one's a Shadow, right?" Takeba-san asks. "It doesn't look like a normal cat."

"I'm not a cat!" Okay, if there were any doubts that the two felines were actually part of the same entity before, they're gone now.

"R-right, okay, then..." She flinches under the force of their combined glares. Honestly, you don't really blame her.

"What are you, then?" Akihiko-san asks. You're not going to get your hopes up that you'll actually get an answer this time.
Really, our problems only ever seem to get worse when someone asks that question.
"We're Mona of the Phantom Thieves!" Shadow Morgana declares, pulling a sword out of nowhere and attempting to strike a pose with it, before shaking his head. "Or, well, that's what we used to be. Back when that actually mattered to him." He brandishes his sword at his other self, who backs away.

"What are you talking about!? Of course it matters to me!"

"Really? In that case, what are the others' names?" His eyes narrow. "Their real ones. And Akira doesn't count."

"Well, there's... There's..."

"See!? You didn't even care enough to remember their names! Futaba, Yusuke, Ann... Those names don't mean anything to you at all, do they?"

"...Ken, do you have any idea what's going on?" Akihiko-san asks. You shrug.

"Morgana's... sort of like me. It didn't seem like he lost anything before, though." It had been sort of strange that he never referred to his friends by their actual name, but given that they apparently called themselves a band of thieves, you hadn't really questioned it. You just... figured that he didn't want the past versions of his friends to get into trouble.

"...If I don't... how do I know you haven't just taken them?" Okay, this is starting to sound sort of familiar, and you also think they may have forgotten that your group is even there. You should probably do something to stop this, but at the same time, you can't bring yourself to get any closer...

[ ] ...Would Zio work?

[ ] Ask if the others feel something similar.

[ ] ...Is there anything Mitsuru-san can do about this?

[ ] Just watch.

We're basically in a Persona 4 Shadow vs Self situation.

We do NOT want the cat to go full stupid. If he goes full stupid, good odds are we're fucked. Even with Koromaru here.

So, how do we talk the idiots down?

Ah, Shadow Morgana. What I'd been expecting up here, it was that or some sort of FOE like the Reaper. Blasting is a bad idea until we inevitably switch tracks to I'll Face Myself, Shadow removal is the cause of Apathy Syndrome, and even for the non-fans of Morgana, causing that probably isn't going to be good for anyone's mental state here.

While the fact that Shadow Morgana's presumably a case of Shadowception like Nemi muddles things(hence why Morgana has made the very good point of Mona keeping things), but at a wild guess, I'd say that the subconscious repression came from the guilt of failing Joker, the Thieves and the Velvet Room. Which, naturally, just caused issues when it became impossible for him to hide his eyes in the fog and was just compounded by the Shrine getting torched, which he probably also blames himself for.

I'm honestly resigned to the inevitable three words, given Mona's definitely not a 'positive' Shadow like Futaba's. Not a reason to do nothing though, yes, though I'm not sure if bringing up Nemi pulling a similar thing is going to help things by stumbling Mona or harm things by making Morgana go closer to saying something like "Why would I keep things from myself! You're not me!"
