Okay, this should be fun...

Velvet Room insanity is always fun. A bit of time with Akira... and summoning a Persona for the first time since winter. There is not a fast timeframe here.

Lavenza asking to go see a Library, or Ken figuring she'd like the Library considering she seems to always carry around a book, and they run into Akira?

Which...would be interesting.

July 28-30, 2008
After school, Akira seems a bit worried about something. "Kurusu-san, are you okay?" You ask, even though you get the feeling you already know the answer. He's predictable like that.

"Well, I..." He doesn't have his school things with him. You assume that he gave them to Maiko. "I just... don't really have anything to do today, and everyone says I should spend more time outside because it's so nice out, so..."

That is a problem. From what you can tell, books make up basically Akira's entire life.

You're pretty sure that's not healthy, but you also think he wouldn't listen to you about it, so there's not really a lot you can do there.

"So, you want something to do?" You have an idea. It's probably a terrible one, but...
Look, so long as she doesn't pull out the Megidolaon, we should be fine.
"What is it?" Akira sounds more cautious than usual. Honestly, he's probably got the right idea.

"Well, I was going to go meet with a friend. You remember Lavenza, right?" He winces, and you'll take that as a yes. She's not exactly the most forgettable person in the world. "You could come with me, if you want. She likes to see different places. I think she'd like talking to more people."

Well, assuming her colder side doesn't come out and scare your friend away. Which could very easily happen. Akira's basically a rabbit in that respect, and Lavenza can be pretty terrifying at times.

Or maybe that's just you being able to sense how much power she has. In which case, a regular human like Akira would probably be fine, but only so long as the strange girl doesn't find reason to use that power.
That won't save you. They make excuses.
"That..." Akira thinks it over, before glancing at a large group of kids from the year above you. "...That wouldn't be so bad, I think."

"Okay! Come on, then." You're not giving him a chance to change his mind right now. Otherwise, he might remember how crazy Lavenza can be sometimes, and try to escape. And she's not even that bad, most of the time.

So, if anyone asks, you will fervently deny bringing your friend to act as a sort of meat shield. Even if it might be very slightly true.

"I was not aware you would be bringing a friend." Lavenza's golden gaze bores down on you, making you wonder if you've made a horrible mistake. "Kurusu-san, was it?"

Akira nods, quickly, looking for all the world like he's about to bolt. "Y-yes. I'm sorry about the trouble, Amada-senpai said it would be okay..."

"I thought you'd like having someone else around," You say. "Kurusu-san's pretty smart, and reads a lot, so he knows a lot about lots of different things. It'd help a lot to have him here."

"...If that is what you believe." And this is why you will never claim to understand Lavenza. Along with the fear that she might kill you if you did, but that's normal.
Honestly, the Velvet Room would probably be a lot more helpful if the attendants didn't seem to all be some variety of insane.
Akira doesn't seem to know what to make of this. Honestly, you don't blame him. You told him to stand by the fountain while you went into a space that seemed to be empty, and came out with an odd blue girl.

...In hindsight, maybe not the most subtle thing you could've done, but you're sure it could be worse.

"She says it's fine." At least, you think that's what she's saying...

"O-oh. I see. Lavenza-san, it's nice to see that you're friends with Amada-senpai. He doesn't have a lot of good ones." You'd point out that he's even worse off, but this might not be the place for that.

"You don't believe yourself to be a good friend?"

Akira just shrugs helplessly. "Well, it's just me, Oohashi-chan, and those weird grown-ups he spends time with. There's only one there that really..."

"I think you are underestimating just how powerful connections between people can be. In the right hands, they can even overcome reality itself. You read a number of stories, don't you? How is it that such a thing has never come up?"

"I have no idea what kind of stories you've been reading." And suddenly Akira and Lavenza are off into an in-depth discussion of literature that suddenly makes you feel like you're the one that wasn't meant to be here.

It's not a feeling you like in the slightest.

All things considered, you're probably not in the best mental state to be doing this yet.

But it's been so long since you've fired an Evoker, and the gleaming lump of metal in your hand is the sort of thing that you can't keep away from.
Which, again, says bad things about our mental state, but that's nothing we didn't already know.
There's a few targets just ahead of you. All you need to do is summon your Persona and attack them.

This should be easy.

"Nemesis!" The initial summoning is always the easiest part. You just need to be willing to look past the things you shouldn't be thinking about right now, and you can keep yourself relaxed enough to actually do things.

But, of course, once you've pulled the trigger, everything starts shifting around you. Nothing's moving, it's all still there, you just can't focus on one specific thing.

But the targets. Those are there, and the people you're confused about are not, and that's all you need to know. "Hama."

One down. "Kouha."

Just one left. "Zio."

And that makes three. But there's still some pieces left on the ground, and you haven't touched on all you can do quite yet.

"Cruel Attack." It hurts less, when you do it like this.

It also doesn't do as much.

You wonder if there's something you should be taking from this, before shaking your head and dismissing your Persona.

Once you do, things become less confusing.

You also have a splitting headache. Which you'd almost expected, but...

[ ] Find one of the others, and ask them if these headaches are normal.
-[ ] Kirijo-san
-[ ] Sanada-san
-[ ] Shinjiro-san

[ ] ...It should be fine.

[X] Find one of the others, and ask them if these headaches are normal.
-[X] Kirijo-san

Yeah, let's not freak out Shinjiro... Plus, Mitsuru can always poke Ken's mind to make sure nothing is wrong.

[X] Find one of the others, and ask them if these headaches are normal.
-[X] Kirijo-san

Huh. Not the worse way things could have gone with those two.

Aww, they're getting along! ...as should probably be expected of a Wild Card and their Velvet Room attendant.

She's got the scanner powers, and the headaches probably shouldn't be popping up until Ken's basically running on empty - which I assume he's not.

Okay, going to the one who sort of knows what she's doing...

Let's see what Mitsuru thinks about the whole issue. Hopefully, it doesn't give her yet another thing to worry about. (On her list right now: school, searching out Shadows, time travel, Masao Inaba, the fact that one of her friends is suicidal... There's a lot for her to worry about.)

You forgot about: Mr Evil Pun being suspicious; being forced into raising a kid whose mother was killed by her suicidal friend, and whose persona is called Nemesis; said kid apperantly knowing some bits of future, including the death of her suicidal friend; existence of talking cat who is also time traveler, and who is suffering from something (most likely Persona) actively supressing his memories; the kid having a friend his age who is in as bad shape as her suicidal friend; her friends nearly meeting/being_killed by something that feel like Death; a new girl she knows little about joining the dorm with all of the earlier things to worry about; Lavenza;

Did I miss something as well? Even if I did, this is one big list of things to worry about, especially for a teenager...

Yet Another Load of Stress
...You honestly don't think that this is supposed to happen. If people normally got confused when their Personas were summoned, and had powerful headaches immediately afterwards, you can't imagine that they'd survive long enough to fight very many Shadows.

Of course, this means that you actually have to go and talk to somebody about this. Which isn't your best skill. And you're not sure how many of the others could give you an explanation for this, or know what they're doing when trying to find one.

You guess this means you're talking to Kirijo-san again. Then again, you're almost certain that Sanada-san can't help, and any conversation with Shinjiro-san in it is bound to turn out to be awkward, so it's not like you have a lot of options.

You don't count Morgana when considering this. He is, after all, a cat, which means he probably has different priorities than the rest of you.
There's a reason we all decided that Koromaru was the one who had his life most together.
So you approach her, turning your Evoker over in your hand and wishing that you could more easily appreciate the fact that you have this. At the very least, it's something that should, in theory, make it easier to protect yourself.

But the headaches keep happening, and you aren't sure when they're going to stop. If they're going to.

It wouldn't surprise you too much if they didn't.

Kirijo-san notices your approach before you speak up, which you suppose means that she's gotten used to you going to her. "What is it this time, Amada-kun?"

"Is it normal to be confused about things, when you summon your Persona?" The headaches can wait. They're not as bad as they used to be, and might eventually go away, if not for the fact that the confusion is contributing to them and making everything sort of a mess.

"My sensory abilities used to overwhelm me back when I was first learning to use them," She replies. "But I'm not sure if that's what you were talking about."

"Maybe a little, but... not really." It might add a bit to the confusion, but not enough to be the main concern. "It's just... it feels like things should be one way, but they're not, and it only feels like that when Nemesis is summoned, and it's... really just a headache. Followed by an actual headache, but those aren't quite as bad anymore." That probably says something about you. Honestly, it really can't be anything good.
It means you're getting used to the crazy. Embrace it.
She seems to think about it for a moment, before suggesting, "Perhaps it has something to do with your... unique circumstances?" She's not mentioning the time travel in the dorm.

Then again, neither are you.

You don't think either of you sees a problem with that.

"I guess it could be... It's mostly just people that I'm confused about, and some of that would probably happen anyway." You don't mention Shinjiro-san by name, but you're sure Kirijo-san can catch on by herself. She's reasonably smart, after all.

Whether or not she does, she doesn't ask about it, so it doesn't really matter to you for the moment. "If I remembered more, do you think that could help?"

"Perhaps. But you shouldn't push yourself. I know that all of us would be worried if something were to happen to you." Given that it's your own head you're talking about, for a moment you don't get why Kirijo-san's so worried.

Then you remember all the Shadows crawling through the closet. And Castor. Okay, so there's clearly reason for her to be concerned, but she doesn't have to be.

It was just a thought, after all.
Remember, she's used to Akihiko-san. With him, idle thoughts turn into bad decisions pretty quickly.
Of course, given the existence of Shadows and Personas, even those can be dangerous.

Sometimes, you wish you'd never found out about all this stuff.

You know, given that this is part of your mind, you don't see your Persona here nearly as often as you think you should.

Not that you're feeling particularly ready to talk to Nemi again just yet, even if you're willing to use him in battle if you have to. You should probably get this stuff sorted out by the time you start exploring Tartarus in September, but that's still a month away, so it should be fine.

Oddly enough, despite there being no sign of Nemi, his notebook is open on the desk nearby. He doesn't like leaving that thing unattended, so it's sort of weird to see it just lying there like this. It's like the book's owner has just stepped out for lunch or something, only that doesn't make sense because it's the middle of the night.

...Well. No reason for you to just sit around like this.

-[X] The picture of the guy and girl that shift on occasion
Lets see what we can get from the first Q event. Also, I'm pretty sure the confusion and headache are partly Nemisis fault since we're currently in conflict with him.
and whose persona is called Nemesis
Smart she is, I don't think Mitsuru knows Greek Mythology.
and who is suffering from something (most likely Persona) actively supressing his memories
She wouldn't know about the Persona part. That's either more, or less concerning depending on your pirorities.
I don't think she knows about Lavenza beyond maybe the fact she's a new friend of Ken's.

[X] Maybe you should inspect another picture...

Because he is super important to P3's events, and won't be relevant afterwards.

Because she needs to be helped.
