Dangit, why don't people want to do badass super-punches once a week?
We don't even know what the word combo for lazy and eternity will do.

[X] Name: Harry Potter

[X] Male

[X] You're a pretty normal and bland sort of person. In an anime or movie, you'd be an extra. In a book, you'd be part of "a crowd of people milled about".

[X] Word: Growth

Trying to choose something with multiple meanings/ applications - I don't think the QM will give us multiple powers based on every meaning it has, but at least there'll be opportunity for sideways as well as direct improvement of the powers given. In this case, for example, it could mean "maturation" or "tumour" - depending on whether we want to do it to others or ourselves.

So if we ignore everyone else and focus just on me, Determined Turtle won.

But if we have to use that newfangled "democracy" thing, Lazy Eternity is a pretty clear winner. Not sure why, though, as turtles are clearly superior to any silly eternity.

Ah, but that's where you are wrong! See, the world's third fastest reptile is, in fact, the Leatherback. Therefore we should not use turtles as a synonym for laziness, but rather pythons who don't mind sleeping for months after a good meal!

Of course, I should have realised that, given an infinite amunt of time (or an Eternity, as it is also called), the world would eventually end in turtle. So, yes, Turtle did win in a way. Even if not a particularly turtlely way.

Character Creation Pt 2
Lily Gardener, her Scrift is Eternity. With this word carved upon her soul by magic, she has a most unusual destiny before her. Upon reaching the prime of her life she will simply stop aging. She will never grow weaker with old age. Time can never slay her. Baring violence, accident, or disease Lily has the potential to live forever.

Of course, knowing such a potential has had an impact on Lily herself. She isn't a very rash or aggressive person, not wanting to unduly risk her Eternity. Of course, she has also developed a sort of "I have plenty of time to do it later" attitude, resulting in her becoming a bit lazy and unmotivated.

So, now that we know a bit more about you and your Scrift, let's flesh out the details shall we?

You have 15 Points to spend. Choose wisely.

Styles: By channeling magical energy through your body, you can perform superhuman feats of skill. Naturally, mages have developed various fighting styles over the centuries to take advantage of this. You may begin with multiple styles. Each style costs 3 points.
[ ] Soaring Phoenix - An acrobatic style that emphasizes flips, rolls, and other maneuvers that enable their user to always stay ahead of their foe, letting them attack from various angles and escape before their foe can retaliate. Offers training with bo, twin blades, and shuriken.
[ ] Crimson Iron Sun - A brutal power style that revolves around crushing the enemy with singular, powerful blows of utter devastation. Offers training with axes, hammers, and great swords.
[ ] Supreme Angle - A style focused on control and precision. It uses swift angular dodges and deflection to avoid attacks and set up pinpoint attacks of its own, aiming to hit weak points for maximum damage with minimal effort. Offers training with rapiers, daggers, and spears.
[ ] Swift Wind Wolf - A high speed style focusing on darting in and out of combat, engaging the enemy on your terms and forcing them to try and follow you. Offers training with swords, spears, and twin blades.
[ ] White Hero - A well rounded style with an emphasis on defense and counters. Offers training with swords, rapiers, and shields.
[ ] Black Hero - A slightly controversial style, in that its users will purposefully put too much strain on their bodies. This gives them great power and speed, but damages their own body in the process. This style is a gamble that you can defeat the enemy hard and fast. Offers training with axes, great swords, and spears.

System: In addition to general spells there are other methods to harnessing magic, capable of creating affects that normal magic cannot produce. You may have a maximum of one System to start. A System costs 5 points.
[ ] Alchemy - Alchemy is NOT chemistry. The reactions you can obtain aren't possible with normal science. Many affects of the potions and ungents that alchemy can produce aren't any different from what normal magic can produce, the main advantage being the ability to store such affects well in advance until needed, essentially broadening or deepening ones magical reserves and repertoire in the field. More advanced alchemy can produce affects that normal magic cannot produce. Alchemy's main drawback is that it takes time to create things and brewnptions, requiring prep work.
[ ] Kabala - A metaphysical system for tapping into energy from higher planes, this system greatly improves elemental spells, one element at a time. It takes a bit to connect to one variety of element and then takes effort to change that elemental connection, but for many it's worth a couple minutes to effectively double your power with an element...even if it does weaken your connection to the others at the same time.
[ ] Artificer - You are trained in the creation of magical talismans, wards, and various other items of magical potency. It takes a lot of prep work, especially if you want something to be permanently enchanted, but it can pay off with all sorts of affects, including plenty that can't be achieved by normal magical means.
[ ] Chakra - Also called Inner Alchemy, the Chakra are internal power nodes. Working on refining ones connection with them can lead one to achieving a superhuman state of being. Being able to tap into your chakras will grant you more energy for casting spells. Mastering each chakra will also provide different supernatural advantages.

Advantages: These provide various bonuses for your character. Cost varies with each.

[ ] Ally - You have a close friend and trusted companion. For 2 points they are mundane and have no magical ability. For 4 points they are a fellow new student. For 6 points they are an older student who has taken you under their wing.
[ ] Aware - Your senses are more attuned to sense magical energy. You receive a +2 bonus to any attempts to detect magic. Incompatible with the Drawback Unaware. 2 Points
[ ] Brave - You receive a +2 to Will to avoid being scared or intimidated, whether by magical or mundane means. Incompatible with the Drawback Coward. 1 Points
[ ] Dangerous - You know how to bring the pain. All your attacks deal an extra 1 damage per level. Incompatible with the Drawbacks Harmless. 4 Points.
[ ] Familiar - You have an animal companion that you have formed a mystical connection with. It is more intelligent than any normal animal, will follow your commands, and you can share your senses with it. As you grow more powerful, so will your familiar... 5 Points.
[ ] Friendly - When trying to make friends, end hostility, or just asking a friend for a favor you gain +2 on all such Social checks. Incompatible with the Drawback Hostile. 1 Point.
[ ] Guile - You are skilled at manipulating people. +2 bonus to trick, deceive, or otherwise con people into doing things for your own benefit. Incompatible with the Drawback Honest. 1 Point
[ ] Lucky - Things just seem to go your way. Increases the odds of random good things happening during the quest. 5 Points
[ ] Mentor - You have a teacher, trainer, and roll model beyond your regular teachers at school. For 2 points you've learned all you can from them mystically, but they are still willing to give you advice. For 4 points there is still plenty they can teach you. For 8 Points, you are the student of a revered grand master who knows many secrets he may pass on shouldn't out be worthy.
[ ] Naturalist - You are at peace with nature. You receive a +1 bonus on all checks made in the wilderness. 3 Points
[ ] Prodigy - You aquire 1 extra experience point whenever you acquire experience. Incompatible with the Drawback Incompetent. 6 Points.
[ ] Rich - Your family has a lot of money. Most mundane purchases are no problem. Incompatible with the Drawback Poor. 3 Points.
[ ] Sneaky - Stealth comes naturally to you. +2 bonus to all Skill checks to be sneaky or otherwise do something undetected. Incompatible with the Drawback Obvious. 1 Point
[ ] Tough - You receive +1 HP per level. Incompatible with the Drawback Frail. 2 Points
[ ] Urban Master - You're a child of the concrete jungle, and have no problems navigating and taking advantage of everything a city has to offer. +1 bonus on all checks in heavily urban environments. 3 Points.

Drawbacks: These give you extra points to spend, at the cost of a penalty your character has to live with. You do not have to aquire and Drawbacks if you do not wish to.

[ ] Coward - You easily become scared or intimidated by the slightest bit of agression. -2 Will on all such checks. Incompatible with the Advantage Brave. 1 Point.
[ ] Cursed - You don't know if you actually are cursed or not, but things just seem to always happen tonyou. Misfortune will strike more frequently. 5 Points.
[ ] Frail - You are more delicate than most, having -1 HP per level than normal. Incompatible with the Advantage Tough. 2 Points.
[ ] Harmless - You have a difficult time hurting things, dealing -3 Damage on all atacks. Incompatible with the Advantage Dangerous. 2 Points
[ ] Honest - You can't really lie, even when you really should. -2 penalty on all Social checks to deceive people. Incompatible with the Advantage Guile. 1 Point
[ ] Hostile - You're a bit too agression to make friends easily, with a tendency to snap at people. -2 Social penalty on any attempt to make friends or end hostilities. Incompatible with the Advantage Friendly. 1 Point.
[ ] Incompetent - You receive 1 fewer experience whenever you would acquire experience. Incompatible with the Advantage Prodigy. 10 Points.
[ ] Obvious - You just can't be quiet or stealthy, even when you try. -2 Skill penalty when you try to go unnoticed. 1 Point.
[ ] Poor - Your family doesn't have a lot of money. Even basic purchases have to be carefully considered, and if you want anything better than second hand you'll probably need to get a job. 2 points.
[ ] Unaware - It's difficult for you to sense magical energy. -2 penalty on any attempt to sense magical energy. Incompatible with the Advantage Aware. 1 Point

-[X] 4 Points

No protagonist is complete without her best friend.

[X] Familiar - You have an animal companion that you have formed a mystical connection with. It is more intelligent than any normal animal, will follow your commands, and you can share your senses with it. As you grow more powerful, so will your familiar... 5 Points.

Because as a lazy person, we want a gopher. In either sense of the word.

[X] Prodigy - You aquire 1 extra experience point whenever you acquire experience. Incompatible with the Drawback Incompetent. 6 Points.
[X] Rich - Your family has a lot of money. Most mundane purchases are no problem. Incompatible with the Drawback Poor. 3 Points.

Just to be as annoying to our class-mates as possible.

[X] Honest - You can't really lie, even when you really should. -2 penalty on all Social checks to deceive people. Incompatible with the Advantage Guile. 1 Point
[X] Obvious - You just can't be quiet or stealthy, even when you try. -2 Skill penalty when you try to go unnoticed.
[X] Unaware - It's difficult for you to sense magical energy. -2 penalty on any attempt to sense magical energy. Incompatible with the Advantage Aware. 1 Point

To get some points back.

EDIT: Altered because Omegahugger can't math

You have 15 Points to spend. Choose wisely.

Styles:
[] White Hero - A well rounded style with an emphasis on defense and counters. Offers training with swords, rapiers, and shields.

None of the styles really fit our laid back sort but this came the closest. I am not averse to an option that does not include any style, however. Lily has enough time to find the perfect one, after all.

System:
[] Artificer - You are trained in the creation of magical talismans, wards, and various other items of magical potency. It takes a lot of prep work, especially if you want something to be permanently enchanted, but it can pay off with all sorts of affects, including plenty that can't be achieved by normal magical means.
[] Chakra - Also called Inner Alchemy, the Chakra are internal power nodes. Working on refining ones connection with them can lead one to achieving a superhuman state of being. Being able to tap into your chakras will grant you more energy for casting spells. Mastering each chakra will also provide different supernatural advantages.

I like these two best, although Chakra feels like it better suits the laziness inherent in our protagonist. We can only have one, however.

Advantages:
[ ] Aware - Your senses are more attuned to sense magical energy. You receive a +2 bonus to any attempts to detect magic. Incompatible with the Drawback Unaware. 2 Points
[ ] Familiar - You have an animal companion that you have formed a mystical connection with. It is more intelligent than any normal animal, will follow your commands, and you can share your senses with it. As you grow more powerful, so will your familiar... 5 Points.
3 Points.

These seem the best long term options, which I admit is a bias of mine.

Drawbacks:
[ ] Frail - You are more delicate than most, having -1 HP per level than normal. Incompatible with the Advantage Tough. 2 Points.
[ ] Harmless - You have a difficult time hurting things, dealing -3 Damage on all atacks. Incompatible with the Advantage Dangerous. 2 Points
[ ] Honest - You can't really lie, even when you really should. -2 penalty on all Social checks to deceive people. Incompatible with the Advantage Guile. 1 Point
[ ] Obvious - You just can't be quiet or stealthy, even when you try. -2 Skill penalty when you try to go unnoticed.

These are the ones that feel least harmful to our long term options and also tend towards the sort of character I prefer to play.
