As a reminder, if this is a conversation about Husbando/Waifu/whatever, it doesn't strictly matter how good their stats are so long as they're not intended to be an agent. Ideally we'd want to steal a march and find a good one that is acceptable as an Agent or Councilor but it's not an absolute requirement. FWIW, Ethan and Connor are legitimately great choices if their name wasn't Sonissimmo.

(Yes, I am still annoyed about Evelyn's grandmother being a Capo and not dropping more word, which should go to show even then where family loyalties still remain.)

Hrm. Ethan's not bad. Sure, Connor's stewardship is insane, but at least from the perspective of a well-rounded Executive, I think Ethan's actually better and has the intrigue bonus too. And they both have the Nascent Statesman trait, which can come in handy if developed. Of course, considering someone as a husband is different than considering them as an Executive.

What exactly are the considerations for a husband anyway? Both from Tellar's perspective and Evelyn's? Does Evelyn have any preferences right now? I guess she wouldn't know either since we haven't taken any action to look for anyone? And if she grew up around Sonissimo, why does Raoul Capo trigger the whole 'too closely related' but not the Sonissimos (feeling wise)?

And I sort of get why Sonissimo wants to tie one of theirs to Evelyn, if only to counterbalance Capo*, but what would they be expecting out of Ethan anyway? Reports back? Or just trust him to moderate any decisions and push for Sonissimo interests? How loyal to Tellar would any new husband be if they're not from Tellar in the first place? I mean, I imagine, we can't expect every husband to go full-bore for Tellar as the Carlisle Marshall did for Carlisle...

* Although this is an alliance of convenience... Capo really doesn't have any overt influence in Tellar?? (I mean, I imagine their spies are wandering around our castle now...)
 
Tellar would be looking for a noble, at least second cousin in distance, in the right age bracket so they don't have to deal with any embarrassment, who stands a good chance of helping Evelyn get legitimate heirs (ideally no chaste/repressed or affairs traits), who isn't a complete terror (no sadist, heart of stone type traits). With the current environment, people from Dale or Vincennes are not ideal.

Of course, when it comes to other details about minimum stat/trait requirements, that's up to you guys!

Evelyn herself has her eye out for someone younger, or preferably no more than a year or two older, who won't try to take the reins off her in the relationship. It would be nice to have a marriage prospect who could also be her Executive, but if it doesn't work, well that's not a deal breaker.

Both Evelyn and the House are aware, though, that it will be a few more years before her brother Gregory is old enough to take on a job like this, and he is the most reliable of the non-marriage Executive candidates.

At this stage, Evelyn doesn't have her eye on anyone, because she hasn't looked.

Loyalty is a peculiar thing ... Grandma Capo retained some sense of loyalty to home, but on the other hand, one of the Tarrant's is a Sonissimmo, Lana Antilles went to Dale and has served loyally, Oscar Carlisle is four square behind Carlisle. By and large, spouses don't want to mess in their new dens. But they shouldn't be put in a position where you have to chisel their old home!

No signaling, I think. Ethan might have been interesting but no one else chose him. Also, this is a business trip technically, and we should probably look around first at the other candidates too.

I would imagine it would be that beyond being just a Sonissimmo it's because he's too closely related to the current Symphony, but that's just speculation on my part.

Right, so atm we have 3 Hana, 2 Connor, 1 Raj, and we have 2 Ambassadors, 2 Arsenal, 2 Relax.

I really think we should take this chance to evaluate ethan, and if he seems reasonable ok im for marrying him.

Just so we can finally heal our relationship with sonissimo and so they don't have to worry that we are gonna take them out with Capo.

Literally half of all the voters are voting for the one option that gets us absolutely nothing.

I'm pretty sure that even if she had the orientation, marrying Hana or Alana would be out of question if only for the convoluted politics of a Concerto marrying another House Lord or another Concerto. Someone probably has to lose their position in order for it to work out.

Yes, that's the more pragmatic reason, haha. When you marry a Concerto, you're marrying in to the family. The ruling pair system makes a mess of attempts to run multiple titles.

I dislike choosing Ethan as it seems like we have already ceded some ground to them. If there had been some initial negotiations that may be one thing. If we don't want Hana I would say go for Connor, as he shows both openness but also that we are not theres to control and direct anymore.

Yeah, I really don't get the Ethan vote. It smacks of being still on a dog on a leash to Sonissimmo.

(Also, fuck mystery boxes when there are actually good legitimate other options to take.)
