Problem about that: we need to convince everyone NOT to tell Ranma we've been powering up, first, before the fight happens.
Ranma has basic pattern recognition. The mere fact that we are challenging him to a fight would likely indicate to him that we've got something that makes us think we can win, be it a new technique, some mystical powerup, or something else.

Or we just feel like beating him up. That happens pretty often
This.
Ryouga regularly wants to beat up Ranma, even without powerups.

Plus, you know, Ranma is really full of himself; long as he doesn't know we've got something, that'd be good.
Besides, point is, we should at least make sure he doesn't know the DETAILS of the training - Cologne took pains to make sure Ranma didn't know the details of what Ryouga could do when she trained him, we should follow that inspiration.

Too late. Genma has already set out (well, more like "was launched like a rocket out") to warn Ranma that you've risen from the grave with vampire powers. Which would sound completely retarded to most people, but this is Nerima. Plus, Genma ate a Perfect Shishi Hokodan that you fired without charging, lending credit to his supernatural powers theory.

Inb4 Ranma opens the fight with garlic, holy water, and silver cutlery (easy source of stealable silver). Ryouga then gets horrible flashbacks to the last time someone tried to cook him in pig form and completely flips out.

[X] Yes.

She is not going to reach the level of despair needed for a perfect Shishi Hokodan but might have enough for a normal one if she is placed in a tricky situation. In which case she might need the Shishi Hokodan.

Because we made a bet that the loser has to teach a technique to someone the winner chooses other than themselves?

Sure, that'll work.

Ranma! Because of you I'VE SEEN HELL!

So... I'm starting to get that the misunderstanding was that... somehow... the idea was spread that we were dead. Probably Siesta's fault somehow. Not sure how, but some how she gave people the impression we died? And so Akane and Ranma were depressed, and Soun and Genma terrified of us.

You know this has one advantage.
Namely, if Ranma is convinced we're a vampire?
That would not strike me as inspiring any real amount of confidence, which means his ki blast might not work so well.

Plus he'll be focused on trying to counter the wrong thing.

Hopefully he won't try to stake us.

I'm still wondering how Siesta had a miscommunication that we were dead. And why didn't she correct it with a simple "he's not dead."

We just have to hope Ranma isn't a Buffy fan rather than Twilight. If he thinks we are a demon possessing his friend's corps to wreak terror upon the living, he may try seriously to kill Ryoga.

-[X] Well... it's really not healthy. It's fueled by despair, misery, and depression. You're not the despair type. So I don't think it'd work for you.

--[X] Pause and think. Ranma has a variant that works on confidence instead of depression. That seems more your type of thing. I'll ask him to teach it to you after I beat him.

[X] Hmm... with these losses... you might have to try and find your way back home. Maybe you can have Akane or Ranma take you there?

[X] Apologize to Kasumi. That was wrong of you to fluster her like that. And after she made you food too. Maybe you can help with the cooking and cleaning to make up for it?

It looks like the general consensus is to stall and try to convince her that learning the Shishi Hokodan isn't a good idea. Votes are not yet locked.

Please let us fix the digivice somehow, please?
