Magic is magic!
Magic is magic!
Yeah, with Ryouga supplying the power there should be plenty of opportunities to learn.[X] Time for a topic change!
-[X] Talk about martial arts.
--[X] His girlfriend is some kind of martial artist right? So he must be one too.
--[X] Ask if he has any martial arts techniques. After all, that's one of the few good things about your travels. You almost always learn a new technique.
No reason Tiffania shouldn't be able to cast other Void spells if she learned them
So I just want to say.
I'm gonna be shipping Ryouga and Tiffania.
Since he must have a weapon the only suitable trainer is Mousse. So wait, you want Ryouga to be two-timing Akari with Tiffania and therefore turning into Ranma?
I am suddenly assaulted by the mental image of Ryouga fleeing to Ranma and begging him to be his second for seppuku. Granted, my mental image turns into a comedy act of every tanto Ryouga finds shattering against his abs, but damn, that revelation's gonna be rough for Ryouga.
Saito being recognized as another enemy of women would be pretty entertaining though. I'm real disappointed we didn't get a chance to bring Saito to the Tendo dojo last vote. With the Gandalfr runes he'd fit in pretty damn good with that quirky martial arts crowd.
It depends on how you handle the situation, but it is a distinct possibility.Considering that Tiffania has a crush on Saito, and Saito really is a pervert (unlike Ranma) I imagine that Ryouga and Saito are destined to have a knockdown drag out fight.
Fuck that shit; Akari is literally God's gift to Ryoga for all the shit he's been through. I'm not kidding, that's Takahashi's near-literal word-for-word statement for why Akari even exists in Ranma 1/2; because she felt bad for Ryoga and felt he deserved some form of happiness. Pulling any sort of two-timing is horrible, makes Ryoga into Fanon Ryoga, robs him of one of the few good things in his life, and goes against everything he is; all because you have some beef with the girl.Nuts to that one, she's an awful character.
Let's go with someone better, who can do MAGIC.
By end of series he pretty much accepted that he's never gonna get Akane and that Akari did care for him and all that, not to mention that Ryoga's complete pants at anything that doesn't involve 'RYOGA SMASH!' or any variant thereof. I mean, say what you want about Akari; but when the literal author of the series outright says she's there because the poor bastard deserves a break, then it seems real shitty to just toss her aside is all.Just going to ignore that chapter where Akane and Akari both showed up to visit him at his house on the same day, eh? To be fair, though, he never even managed to tell Akane how he felt, and things with Akari weren't particularly serious back then.
Not really important anyway, but basically once he gets the runes he should get the language. Not in the anime. Unless Louise managed to legitimately botch the familiar spell.
And that's why I'll be sticking with the "botched silencing spell = translating spell" explanation. That, and it'll require less rewriting.Other minor deviation(bringing up for completeness, don't really care) is that the translation spell works in Saito's head, not on people's understanding. He's actually speaking French when talking to Tristanians, and once he puts in the effort, it translates written text too, without affecting his Japanese ability beyond making him default to his master's native tongue.
That joke about her grandfather telling her to find someone strong before he died was funny though.Akari being literally invented to be with Ryouga is what makes her boring, IMO.
She's got no other purpose, which makes me really not care about her.
So, I have been doing some research on Familiar of Zero. Apparently, the botched silencing spell was anime only. In all other mediums, it's apparently the portal that gives the person summoned from earth the ability to converse in the Halkeginian language. Which makes me wonder how the other void familiars speak the Halkeginian language in the anime, since the portal explicitly doesn't do the translating there. ...There's probably a translation spell or something.
It depends on how you handle the situation, but it is a distinct possibility.
