RWBY: When ROBs have had enough (AU)

Biometals have souls.

Hmmmm a house violates size limit, although the capsule itself doesn't... interesting work around potential there.

EDIT: Also the electro-magnetic deflector might not work on dust rounds... well unless the rounds have a metal case.

a portal gun is useless. everybody forgets the portal gun only works on objects that have been coated with material from the earth's moon. I don't know if Remnant's moon has the same properties but it doesn't matter anyway.

Damn!

... Well, unless we're going with the theory where the grimm are the moon's semblance.

What about the long-fall boots? Not for Summer, but she could sell them to Atlas for their robots, make a mint that way.

EDIT: WE FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING! DUCT TAPE!

the rest of aperture science technology is fine. only the portal gun is limited.

Gold Has some use, mostly being in wires for lighting dust to use. Beyond that, not really. Diamonds aren't really valuable because nobody has had time to specifically look for diamonds, and when they actually found them they thought it was some useless kind of dust. Capsules might work, but I don't know whether it would count as the capsule or the hyper condensed house.

Electro-magnetic deflector would most likely not work, due to the fact that the only part of Metal used in the bullets are the cases for dust that flies backwards instead of forwards.

Key of Kings: Nope. Violates the No magic rule.

Ok.

FINAL LIST:

1. Solid Eye (MGS, RandomDwarf)
2. Megalixir (FF, w34v3r)
3. Tricorder (ST, Zulaq)
4. 1-up box (Sonic, I just write)
5. Rechargable rifle (FNV, Urielv59)

That's all for the items! Update will be up today, if not tomorrow morning.

Hey, later down the road could we give Summer a Flux Capacitor and a Fallout Fusion Core so that she could convert an appropriate vehicle into a time machine?

Flux capacitor: You can get her the stuff, but I'm vetoing the time machine. Like I said, temporal shenanigans of any kind is a very bad idea.

Bullets: Hmm. You might be right. I'll have to relook at that.

You would have to provide what it is, how it works, where it comes from, and optionally provide a link to where it is in the thread (if it is in a thread.)

Understood; I'll limit said items to stories and quests started *before* I joined this one. Wouldn't be fair if I could just whip up perfectly customized items for Summer on demand.

Actually, there's just one exception that I might make, namely the Recipe Cards from In Which Absolutely Nothing is Explained. Here's my reasoning; they were planned as collectible items for the main character that would allow them to cook up useful edible power-ups.

In the actual thread, only two such recipe cards made an appearance, namely the ones for Lasagne (allowed the eater to be in four places at once for an hour) and Pad Thai (which provided some immunities to a few specific damage types). However, the thread died before any additional cards could be collected; I actually had the intended effects for the rest of the recipe cards all planned out, but I deleted the google doc that had the notes.

I would suggest not calling it the no magic rule... otherwise people are going to be very confused about the megalixir.

I'm a bit curious, can we recommend super-items if they operate under serious restrictions?

I was wondering about sending Excalibur-proto, it's thematically appropriate for Remnant given the constant focus on lights (people/souls) standing against the darkness, and its seals, as well as the massive activation cost, make it so that it isn't an instant win button. A weapon that embodies humanities hopes and dreams just seems so right.

I just have a question, will the solid eye be capable of recharging itself based on Summers bio-energy? because if so (I did some research on it) it would be helpful during hunting seasons and such.

also I have a idea on the size limits...Would Raiden's sword from metal gear count towards the size limit along with a instruction manual? the reason is that I'm not sure if summer has a scythe for a weapon or if she uses swords...because if she does use swords then Raiden's sword would be extremely helpful during fights...though she is going to have to watch for going a bit to far, otherwise buildings can get cut to pieces...especially if she uses the solid eye to its maximum potential for near instantaneous reaction speed to slice and dice.

I just write: Pad Thai would most likely be acceptable, but Lasagne would be put towards scrutiny.

Frozen Flame: ...It would have to be under very specific circumstances. Such as not only having a Maiden's power, but also using a relic to create an unlimited form of energy, along with another relic to make sure the sheer amount of energy doesn't plow straight to the core of the planet.

Random: The solid eye would be modified to be rechargeable via Aura. Also, as long as the sword isn't the one he ripped off of excelsus then it should be fine. However, don't forget that Raiden gets his slice and dice ability from the cyborg body he gets along with the electrolyte cells. As for the Swords vs Scythes, that is a question for Summer.

Sweet it won't be...cause I think I got the one for summer...

IC: So summer which is it? Scythes or swords? I could possibly is ROB allows me to change the HF blade to a scythe (might be pushing the size limit unless collapsible...which means I have to send a maitence manual with it for you) otherwise same with the sword.

Hunter weapons are aura infused, while it's not soul bound each one has a lot of time and effort into it, and their tech base is such that upgrades to the core machine are practical, replacing them is not trivial, assuming you find a weapon that's worth trading for. Frankly I doubt an MGS sword is worth it, remnant weapon tech seems a bit more advanced.

'Swords. Never found out why Qrow has a huge fix on scythe based weapons, and had been 'extolling' all of the supposed many benefits of a scythe all through Beacon. Some kind of Punk thing? I didn't really listen, my sword worked all the time for me.'
