Rising in the East (OOC)

Maybe I could make use of earth witches, since they would fit the backstory of my regiment pretty well, and would distinguish my regiment from the Steel Spines.

Trenches help hold the line, for instance.

During that time when the regiment was surrounded, I mentioned that they had to take cover in improvised trenches. It would be fitting if that was the work of earth witches.

Plus they would allow me to take advantage of that defensive bonus.

Earth witches can make trenches instantly, while pioneers need a turn to fortify.

Opinions?

True but you already have clankers which gives you a defense bonus that can shoot back.

Yes, but I'm trying to emphasize survivability since veterans cannot be easily replaced if they die.

@CommanderBlade welcome to the madhouse. ;-)

Its nice to see that you have a Russian Father and English Mother like my story. :)
Too bad theirs is an affair while yours is true love...

Hopefully the Wind Dancers and Steel Spines can work together.

@bryanfran36 Err... I think you meant me, not CommanderBlade, as his is pure Russian...

And I'm not sure how well Artillery and Cavalry would work together... Though considering my Regiment is rather good at Long Range... well, could be some interesting synergies there... You causing them to line up one way thinking themselves safely out of range, and then just as you attack, my artillery says 'hello' and breaks the lines for you...

Artillery punches holes in enemy lines.

Cavalry breaks through and wreaks havoc at the back.

Think of cavalry as very light Panzers.

That roll... Mine gott.

I'm bored, so I actually calculated the probability of rolling 8200 d20s, what's the odds that their will be more than 6000 with numbers greater than 6.

One in ten billion. Rolling 8200 dice, the chance of getting any value above 6000 when trying to beat 6 is 1.3175*10-10

That roll... Mine got
Let ya in on a secret, the "E" function on rolz is inclusive. I hadn't noticed the way simpli structured the TN and was assuming the standard of equal to or greater than, rather than just greater than.

Technically it should have been 8200d20E7 (since 7 is the actual success threshold)

I calculated it as if it was exclusive, but that does make it more likely. As in, your roll is now only 17 higher than the mean.

If you had rolled right and got that though, it would have been so bloody impressive.

On average, my regiment at full strength would perform like this:

Combat rating: [(1.2+1)*4000*1.05]+300 = 9540

Accuracy: 9540*(6/20) = 2862

That doesn't include defensive bonuses though.

Too many Etymologies people what with @Estro said.

This will hamper our cooperation with each other because of the damned -1 Morale drop being near you. That freaking sucks.

Edit: Apologies. @UbeOne corrected me.

What theme songs do you think should be played for our regiments? Better yet, for all of us?

I can see my regiment's theme song would be Sabaton's Winged Hussars or Manowar's Fight for Freedom.

My last stand song would be Manowar's Die with Honor or Iron Maiden's The Trooper.

I think our overall theme song would Iron Maiden's Stranger in a Strange Land or Mother Russia. :D:D:D
