Nice rendition there Renu. Horngeek, what's the backstory here?

She's a Presbyterian minister (very carefully chosen to be one of the more liberal church groups, to be more in line with where my own faith is atm- and also to enable part 2 of her high concept XD) while also being a full Wizard of the White Council. Very much a social character- most of her combat options in a fight are magic, which is *risky* to rely on exclusively in a fight for a couple of reasons.

EDIT: Also, she became a full wizard right around the time Harry was starting a war with the Red Court.

And the rejected first draft. It was with a pregnant woman since in the fluff, they sometimes do it to pre-buff the child. Was changed because Squishy wanted something more focused on the tattooing itself rather than the whole ceremonial thing I had in mind for this one.

Yes, it's from the same fic as the penguin riding nun in case there was any doubt.

There was a particular scene from the August 21 chapter that I wanted drawn,

where Joker splits off from the group he's with in Tokyo-2 to save his old Confidant Sae Niijima, as the city is gripped by Persona 4-esque fog (and all the shadowy monsters that come with it). As he's trying to rescue her, Teddie — yes, THAT Teddie, except he looks like a real bear at the moment — arrives to assist.

And that's all you're getting. ;)

As we went back-and-forth, Renu was like, "what if I use the art style from the All-Out Attacks instead of the normal one thus far?"

"You mean like this from Persona 5?"

"That's the one."

And I was like: "FUND IT."

And this glorious bit of memetic madness was born. (The pun was also his idea :V )

//what does all the background text say this time?

That elf with the bare chest seems entirely too confident, and the goat makes me worry. Do we get any backstory on these....crew?
(they all look great btw)
They're my DnD party. We have:

(self appointed) captain Tiberius Stormchaser, the triton in the front with the open shirt. Rogue Swashbuckler, cad and self appointed pirate of justice.

Izalith, the tiefling flying to the side (and the front). Fighter echo knight/Barbarian (can't remember the subclass, something that can have the ancestors protect people). She stabs things. Very hard.

Leandra Fairwinds, the half elf who looks more like a pile of issues than a person. Blood wizard and disaster.

Alyssa, elf bard near the back. College of Lore I think? Manages to somehow have an AC of 25.

Tarkon, the sharkman at the back (technically water genasi). Cleric of Umberlee and moral authority of the group, which explains so much.

And the NPC captain Goatbeard, he's just a goat, don't worry about it. You can't escape anyway.

I think that's just the Ancestors path from Xanathar's.

Not sure how a Lore Bard would get an AC of 25 in general, one might be able to effectively have that kind of AC in short bursts through a combination of protective magic and Cutting Words, though, since Cutting Words gives an enemy a penalty on one attack.

25 with shield (the spell), but given most fights end after Izalith's turn the temporary effect doesn't matter.

Shield is pretty nice if you've got low level slots to burn, since it lasts an entire turn, unlike say the Defensive Duelist feat. Extremely short fights would have a multiplicative effect on the spell's power, too.

So, that'd be... 20 base AC? That's still pretty high for a bard. I don't think you can do it without the moderately armored feat. With that, 14 dex, and a shield, you'd get 19. 20 would just require either the medium armor mastery feat and 16 dex or a +1 enchantment on either the armor or shield. Of course, using a shield means you have less hands free for musical instruments.

Hexblade level 1 dip with a +1 shield (and I think my base AC is 19 for 24 with shield). Mostly I cast spirit guardians and whack people with blade cantrips in combat.

Ah, multiclassing, the other way to get medium armor and shield proficiency. Otherwise, the math works out as I said-- with a +1 shield, halfplate, and 14 Dexterity you should be able to get an AC of 20 (if your Dexterity is 12 or you're wearing breastplate, then you get 19).

Spirit guardians is a fun spell.
