According to Akyu, even lost and injured humans get proper hospitality from the Scarlets, even if Flan creeps around spooking people.

Well, I doubt the Scarlet sisters would tell Akyuu that they eat any of the People that they find if they do it at all. I mean, it is the Kind of Thing that is really bad for Publicity. And wasn't there something about cakes made of human bodies?

Update coming along slowly, the first few options are always a pain to think of. You guys are lucky though since you at least have an adviser to take care of your lowest stat it's not Sakuya

Nobody remembers our Intrigue Advisor. We just have a tea party set with our imaginary friend.

Funny thing about the article on Flan though. She's stated to be quite docile, but dangerous if roused

Well of course it's not Sakuya. She's busy working with Meiling trying to keep the Mansion and the inhabitants from self destructing.

Come to think of it are we appearing in Yamato or somewhere else?

I do have to admit to having a bit of hope spot in regards to short circuiting Inctis's plan (seriously that woman is cracked in the worse ways).

You'll have to find out where you are, just know that canon will be thrown out the window pretty quickly and that the first adventurers you meet will be confused to say the least (and potentially get a beating if they try and force their way through Meiling)

Just wondering but how will the powers of the scarlet family be affected by their new world as sakuya has hax time skills. Not to mention flandre's power to destroy anything.

Turn 1
Turn 1, Month 1
Survey

Big sister isn't here anymore...she...she stayed behind so that you and everyone else could escape and now your along....no not quite alone but it still hurt. Remilia had been your only family for so long and now it felt like there was an emptiness inside of you that can never be filled. It was a week before you could even bring yourself to leave your room and yet the mansion had changed so much. Where once the corridors were cold and empty lined with rooms that hadn't been used in years, now there was a faint hint of warm to them with humans and youkai packed into any space they could find. But what struck you wasn't the lack of fear or hostility between the humans and youkai, it was the sense of despair in their eyes.

Gensokyo was gone, everything they had ever know snuffed out like a candle. You understood the feeling everyone who survived must have lost something whether it be their homes or family. You wandered for a while after that observing the state of the mansion. Every room was packed with people from the dining room to the ballroom....everyone seemed ....lost, either wallowing in their own despair or going through the motions to stay alive but not truly live.

They needed someone to help them, show them the way and hold their hands when it became too hard. Before you came to gensokyo you were like that hiding in the basement for fear that you'd go out of control again and hurt someone you cared about, it wasn't until that battle with Marisa that you began to get better....Maybe that's what big sister meant? She wanted to protect everyone, guide them and help them grow like she did for you since that day nearly 500 years ago.

"Onee-chan I promise I won't let you down."

Military: You found Meiling at the gate standing guard with a group of hobgoblins. The mansion's ever loyal guard dispite rumors of her sleeping on the job. (Choose 1)

Perimeter patrol - While the mansion has it's walls there is a lack of a proper guard, Meiling can watch the gates but she can't cover the entire perimeter for that you'll need to set up a proper patrol scedule for the hobgolblins. Time: 1 turn. Reward: Perimeter properly patrolled

The Hunt is on - The storerooms are well stocked but they can't feed everyone forever you'll need to send out hunters to gather up what they can find. Time: 1 turn. Chance of success: 80% Reward: Improved food situation

Maintain order (Blood) - Youkai and humans rarely mixed and there were an untold number of grudges or fears buried beneath the surface, it was only a matter of time before they began to surface. It would be possible to prevent hostilities through the tried and true method of intimidation through military might. Time: 1 turn. Chance of success: 70%. Reward: No internal conflict for now. (Cannot be taken with Maintain Order (Tears) or (Sweat)

Diplomacy: Your not the best when it comes to talking to people, that was always big sister's job but she did teach you a few things at the very least. (Choose 1)

Taking stock - When you fled gensokyo no one really took the time to check what everyone was taking with them, who knows perhaps there is something useful hidden in the pile? Time: 1 turn. Chance of success: 70%/40%/20%. Reward: Rare Item/Enchanted Item/Phantasmal Item Cost: 100

Maintain order (Tears): Youkai and humans rarely mixed and there were an untold number of grudges or fears buried beneath the surface, it was only a matter of time before they began to surface. You could talk to the leaders of the various factions and attempt to smooth over the majority of the problems. Time: 1 turn. Chance of success: 50%. Reward: No internal conflict for now. (Cannot be taken with Maintain Order (Tears) or (Sweat)

What can you do?: You'll need people who know what they're doing if your going to get anything done, that means going through all your guests for some diamonds on the rough. Time: 1 turn. Chance of success: 80%/60%/40%/10%. Reward: Few skills/Some skills/Many skills/??? Cost: 100

Stewardship: Sakuya was in the kitchen trying to manage the fairy maids, she is the most loyal of all your sister's servants and you could tell the loss hurt her just as much as you. (Choose 1)

Maintain order (Sweat): Youkai and humans rarely mixed and there were an untold number of grudges or fears buried beneath the surface, it was only a matter of time before they began to surface. While not a permanent solution you could keep their minds off of it by making sure everyone is working. Time: 1 turn. Chance of success: 40% Reward: No internal conflict for now, Food situation remains stable. (Cannot be taken with Maintain Order (Blood) or (Tear)

Scouring the gardens: While not dedicated orchards the mansion gardens do possess some edible plants, perhaps you can use them to supplement your food supply? Time: 1 turn. Reward: Food situation remains stable.

Lodging (integration): At the moment everyone is just sleeping anywhere they please, Sakuya suggests organizing things a little. You agree and think it's best that the Youkai and humans aren't split into two separate groups. Time: 1 turn. Reward: Less chance of anti-youkai or anti-human factions emerging. (Cannot be chosen with Lodging segregation)

Lodging (segregation): At the moment everyone is just sleeping anywhere they please, Sakuya suggests organizing things a little. You agree and think it's best that the Youkai and humans are split up. Time: 1 turn. Reward: Less chance of individual incidents occurring. (Cannot be chosen with Lodging integration)

Learning: Patchouli as always could be found in her library working on her research, she's your sister's oldest friend from when the library didn't have a single book and the only person (on the days when she could be called health) able to match her in a fight. (Pick 1)

Followers: According to Patchouli there were signatures that seemed like dimensional transition magic a few days after you arrived, it is possible your not the only residents of gensokyo to end up here and Patchouli wants to find them. Time: 5 turns. Cost: 1000 units. Chance of success: 70%. Reward: ???

Ley of the lines: Patchouli expresses interest in examining the natural magic of the area, apparently it's distinctly different from the magic of Gensokyo. Time: 4 turns. Cost: 500 units. Chance of success: 60%. Reward: ???

Piety: You were never the most religious of people, barely ever going to the chapel in the mansion or the shrine for anything other than a party. But now you need it, just a little bit of faith to get you and everyone else through this. (Choose 1)

Mend the heart: Many people lost their loved ones when you fled and while there is the chance that some had managed to survive holding a mass funeral would help ease grieving hearts. Time: 1 turn. Cost: 200 Units. Reward: Lighten heavy hearts

Mend the flesh: With the tight quarters everyone is packed into disease could be a real problem and without proper doctors many don't know how to treat the more severe injuries but at the very least with some effort the pain can be eased. Time: 1 turn. Cost: 100 units. Reward: Basic medical care

Intrigue: Sneaking is that turning the lights off before you play danmaku? (No actions)

Personal: While you are busy a lot more than you've been since.....ever you still manage to find some time for yourself.

Remember the good times: Big sister isn't here anymore and that hurt you so much but you can't let yourself dwell on that fact, instead you focus on the good times you had together like that winter you made a snowman. Time: 1 turn. Reward: ???

Subconscious friend: For some reason you get the feeling that someone is following you around keeping you company, offering a caring hand and...just being a friend.....why does it seem so familiar? Time: 3 turns. Chance of success: ??? Reward: ???

Scarlet rampage: You need to let your emotions out, all the sadness, all the anger and all the sorrow you feel about the loss of yet another home and all the friends you've made there. Time: 1 turn. Reward: Flan demolishes a section of the forest.

As usual it seems I can only really start writing way past when I'm supposed to be asleep, anyway here is the first turn!! I'll be making the survey tomorrow until then have fun discussing things.

So, this is my tentative vote:

Maintain order (Blood)
Because a Scarlet that cannot keep order is no proper Scarlet. And this is how Flandre does things best.

What can you do?
Between items and skills, I think this is more important. Tools are useless without people who can use them

Lodging (integration)
Since we knock people's heads together, they can't complain. Also, this option has worked just fine for the Scarlet Estate before, so why souldn't it now?

Followers
NAMUSAN! Or other fellow phantasms. Snatching up their alliances before other people get to them is important.

Mend the heart
Half of our population are youkai. Youkai are a hardy bunch, but weak in matters of spirit. Besides, if Patche can survive poor health, so can they.

Scarlet rampage
Because why not recreate the Tunguska event? We need to clear out the forest for expansions some day anyways, and this way we make a proper entrance into this world!

I think we should expend at least one action towards food. We're running at a deficit, and given that a good portion of the actions rewards stable food (not going up or down), I think our current situation means that the food situation will get worse if we don't do anything.

Well, yeah, with my plan people will start to starve. Which, while bad for morale, is survivable.

Scouring the gardens could be picked to stave off the inevitable, but that would just delay the problem. In my eyes, we might as well take the penalty and get some of the important stuff our of the way.

I favor.

Military:

Food, and presumably a little bit of scouting/patrolling, or at least laying the groundwork for it. Also basically one of the few options going out into the new world.

Diplomacy:
Maintain order (Tears): Youkai and humans rarely mixed and there were an untold number of grudges or fears buried beneath the surface, it was only a matter of time before they began to surface. Skills and items will hopefully not disappear over time.

Stewardship:

Factionalism is a bigger problem than individual incidents - we sort of saw this in Gensokyo.
From a practical standpoint, this is Machiavellian - stomp hard enough on the incidents and they'll fear us, treat them well enough that they also love us, and we've got a good formation for setting up House Scarlet to greater glories.

Yeah, no argument here.

More expensive...

Do you wanna build a snow man? It doesn't have to be a snow man...

Don't really see the appeal in the other military options.

Chance for a shiny.

Scouring the gardens: While not dedicated orchards the mansion gardens do possess some edible plants, perhaps you can use them to supplement your food supply? Time: 1 turn. Reward: Food situation remains stable.

I'd rather not have starvation

more touhous the better.

Mend the heart: Many people lost their loved ones when you fled and while there is the chance that some had managed to survive holding a mass funeral would help ease grieving hearts. Time: 1 turn. Cost: 200 Units. Reward: Lighten heavy hearts

Sounds ok.

Subconscious friend: For some reason you get the feeling that someone is following you around keeping you company, offering a caring hand and...just being a friend.....why does it seem so familiar? Time: 3 turns. Chance of success: ??? Reward: ???

KOISHI!!!

My problem with Tears is that it only has 50% chance of success.

Rather risky in my eyes.
Eh, it's a coinflip, and I figure even if it fails it'll give us an overview of the actors/factions and some of the other potential troubles (besides the ones that flare up from failing).
I also really wanna go hunting, and Tears offer the second best rate for order.

This is Scarlet Mansion.
There will be order.
Or else.

We need skills.
And the 10% chance for a (probably) hero is great.
Someone who understands intrigue, maybe?

Lodging: Integration.
We will be among humans. Segregation will bring problems. Beginning with integration as early as possible is important in not letting the problems get out of hand. We have enough food for now.

Whoever followed will be skilled and a friendly face!
We do not have many friends here, wherever this here is.

Mend the heart: Many people lost their loved ones when you fled and while there is the chance that some had managed to survive holding a mass funeral would help ease grieving hearts. Time: 1 turn. Cost: 200 Units. Reward: Lighten heavy hearts

Morale will be a problem. Better address it as soon as possible.

Subconscious friend: For some reason you get the feeling that someone is following you around keeping you company, offering a caring hand and...just being a friend.....why does it seem so familiar? Time: 3 turns. Chance of success: ??? Reward: ???

I am very interested in seeing what will come out of it.
