I can't feel but think our Time Patrol turned guardian is a bit underwhelming by Xenoverse standards.

Guardians don't need to be the strongest being on the planet *Looks at Dende and Kami* Although on a deathworld it probably helps. That being said, we're still pretty high-tier apparently. It sounds like those were two veteran hunters going after those Grimm and we were casually critiquing their styles.
 
Eh, I'd peg us at roughly Raditz level, possibly all the way up to Nappa
Enough to not be curb stomped and drilled out of Xenoverse Training Camp but low enough not to be omnipotent in Rwby

Still, we didn't even hit Mach1 travelling.
10ks in a minute is roughly 0.5Mach

So our "stealth mode" flight is 0.5+Mach

You can go mach speed, but Jazz thought the sonic boom wouldn't be very stealthy. You're probably only a bit stronger than Raditz, but you make up the difference with skill.

Simply needing a weapon is something that makes Jazz criticise someone. She doesn't yet know about the differences between Aura and Ki which make weapons more favourable than martial arts.

Although I should point out that combat speed is so far above Mach that I'm pretty sure the Z-Fighters are using Telepathy to talk sometimes

Seriously, Dragonball had speeds enough that rock-paper-scissors games were played faster than the human eye could see mid-combo

Yeah, I just assume that isn't sustainable for travel. I mean, the afterimage technique alone...

Though I do wish we'd picked the female saiyan, even the cowardice trait was a hindrance, because considering the absolute lack of them in the source material, they're a much needed novelty.

That said, I've never watched RWBY, is extensive knowledge of it needed? That's the setting of the world Jazz's in, no?

Not really. I'll link the wiki if Jazz gets something explained to her off screen or explain it onscreen.

And people will probably explain setting details in the thread.

Here's what you need to know:
Everything doubles as a gun

Another thing: death world doesn't equal crapsack world. For example, Dragon Ball was a death world (prior to Z, anyways).
 
Wait, if we're from the Dragonball world, Faunuses should be really underwhelming to us, and the idea that they're inferior or separate should be baffling. We are from the world ruled by King Furry where full-on anthropomorphs are common and treated the same as anybody else, after all.

Unless we're from after Toriyama forgot they existed and inadvertently retcon'd them out, of course.

edit: and Dragonball was still very much a deathworld in Z, at least early on. Just look at Gohan's year of training with Piccolo.

Which puts us at Demon King Piccolo, or a time with a lot of anthros

Although I should point out that Goku looks remarkably like a monkey Faunus and was treated as weird for being mostly human with only some animal traits

They completely are. Jazz didn't even think to ask if Jasper was human or not. That said, she hasn't come across any racism, so that hasn't come up.

Even after, her initial repsonse will be asking why they care, since both races lack transformations and such.
