While I get the sentiment, isn't that kind of what Luthien is, an instrument for both Vaul and Khaine, of all the elven gods the ones she has the most affinity to. I'm not sure how sensible it is to try to forge her central personal conflict itself into a material it certainly does not feel wholly out of the realm of what she might try.
Crafting things is Luthien's escapism from Khaine.
The forge is her happy place.

Even if much of what she crafts is ultimately in HIS service.

I feel like elves are supposed to mantle and unmantle gods depending on what they are doing. An item that's had a god forged in can't be unmantled, so I don't think it's quite the same.

A smith that somehow mantled Khaine and Vaul while forging would be a war-smith.

Makes weapons.
Fantastic weapons.
Only weapons.

If they don't explode from channeling two gods simultaneously.

They will almost certainly go mad though.

Especially when one of the gods is Khaine.

From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of Ithilmar.
"Your kind cling to your flesh as if it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call a temple will wither and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved. For Metal is Immortal."

[X] [PLOT]: Alfar Igorsson was a sorcerer that had the village of Fimir's Bane annihilated in order to hide his true origins and prevent anyone from that village to be able to counter his alternative identity. The shaman of Jarl Igor Bjornkin was killed off to prevent him from being able to look into anything going on in that region and possible to make sure the Jarl could not put a stop to it if anything should be exposed since Alfar could waylay him. This also gave Alfar a jarl that was not too...paranoid to work under and would no doubt trust him when he needed to leave on 'shaman business' if asked.
[X] [PLOT] Alfar was either a supplier or middle man who sold warpstone to the southern lands to be used by unidentified magic users, likely chaos cultists.

This also gave Alfar a jarl that was not too...paranoid to work under and would no doubt trust him when he needed to leave on 'shaman business' if asked. Alfar as Erwuld Skolwin and Freja Sigridsdottir were part of a warpstone smuggling chain that would pass the goods in lead boxes to the ship Tylos's Lament. This prevented Alfar from being connected directly with the smuggling ring using Freja's shop as a cover to smuggle the warpstone through shipments of 'rich copper' to have something on the manifests as well as being exchanged to Alfar for possibly cursed or malignant artifacts made with the warpstone or for the warpstone, possibly by skaven or necromancers or vampires. This was shipped to persons unknown but likely to other chaos cults in the Empire and maybe Kislev. The Tylos's Lament either had some kind of enchantment to let them know when the jig was up, possibly related to the death of Freja or Alfar or both, or whatever enterprise they were embarked on was completed by the year 1666 and it had no reason to come back. The event that caused this could have been very good or very bad, to cause Alfar to slip up in his usual efforts to contain his own drunkenness and as such may be part of what contributed to the ship not returning. There were other shipments of warpstone that did not make it to the ship, suggesting that Skjold was the hub of an inter-chaos cult smuggling operation and that the Tylos's Lament was only one strand in a web of intrigue. The cult is most likely Tzeetchian in origin, especially with the spell that caused Alfar's body to self-immolate upon death, to ensure that his body could not be used to gain evidence or even his spirit to be pulled from the veil.

[X] [MICHAEL] Surgeon's Torc: May Isha's blessing be upon the line of Michael! This Torc shall represent the notion of the family. It is comprised of a core of Caledorian Steel, wrapped around with a layer of Norscan Ivory from land predators and finished with a skin of Silver. It is hung upon a chain of Featherweight Caledorian Steel. Hsyh Runes invoking Isha of the Hearth, representing the family as a source of healing and order are inscribed upon the core of the Torc. Chamon focus the mind to its task. Ashy shall keep the wearer comfortable as if they are beside the family hearth. Ghur representing the grace of the predator, embedded upon Ivory shall improve the dexterity of the bearer, and the Runes of Ulgu inscribed on the silver skin shall keep the potency of this Torc hidden from eyes that might otherwise do the family harm. Such a torc truly will be fitting for a line of healers!

    [X] [MICHAEL] House warmer
-[X] A steel rod bent into a circle with diameter equal to Luthien's forearm. A silver vine snakes it's way around the circle like a wreath. Healing herbs and other fragrant plants are tied at intervals around the silver vine.
    -[X] Enchantments:
--[X] Freshness (Ghyran): Herbs bound to the silver vine remain fresh and fragrant as the day they were picked. A variant on Living wood enchantment.
--[X] Blessing of Health (Hysh, Isha invocation): The inhabitants of the house never get seriously ill.
--[X] A blessing on the Hearth (Aqshy): When hanging above the hearth, the fires consume fuels more slowly, and the heat reaches all corners of the house
    --[X] Everlasting
[X] [MICHAEL] Isha's Marital Furs: A massive spread of several bone beaver furs, stitched masterfully together and embroidered with delicate tracings of silver wire which invoke Isha's divine blessing upon the loving couple who rest within them, that they may be heathy, fertile, and sleep well within each others' arms. This is supplemented by an energizing imbuement of ghur, which ensures that there is always the energy available for the couple to see Isha's will done, and the magically clean nature of bone beaver furs ensures that everything is pristine and ready to be used once again by morning.
[X] [MICHAEL] Winter's Whisper: A cloak of Jarl Bear fur, enchanted with Energy of Beasts and Invisible cloth. Held with a bone cloak pin made from the same bear.
    [X] [MICHAEL] Isha's Marital Furs
    [X] [MICHAEL] Surgeon's Torc:

How did the vote for getting Dawi runes for Ithilmar forging went?

I already made the joke about the swordmasters rappelling down from the ceiling but now I can add the slayers coming up from the basement, depending on that.

Clean spring water, fresh mountain melt, the churning foam of a rich marine ecology, thick morassy-sludge full of life and creatures. Those are the waters that are rich in Ghyran.
The lightless deep of the leviathans of the Sea? That's more closely related to Ghur.
Random thought: could a vampire then theoretically not be destroyed by the waters if he were to, say, emerge from a coffin that deep? Or is the Ghur granted more to the denizens as opposed to the actual water, and the vampire would still be destroyed by the Ghyran in the ocean?

Would the life of the volcanic vents be Ghur, Ghyran, Chamon or Aqshy?

I suspect that chemical processes matter less than how the things living there are seen or conceived of. Ghur seems to cover the natural world beyond the dominion of humanity, while ghyran seems to cover the natural world that has been harnessed.

So, ghur.

Eh, I do not think so, for one simple reason, what is and is not under the dominion of any one group of people changes, the winds are more constant in what they are drawn to. Plus you still have Ghyan, that is life, in places were there is no sapient to harness.

the winds are more constant in what they are drawn to.

Are they though?

So, we can assume that there's some sort of emanation from the world that fed the gods and attracted the chaos gods, before the winds existed. We've had speculation both that gods are shaped by their worshippers, and that the winds are sort of like gods. What fundementally prevents them from shifting associations, at the edge cases?

If the associations of the winds and environments is set globally when the winds are created, it shouldn't matter.

The fact that the long lived races would have records of them doing so if and when they did and we have none such in canon that I can think of at least

It doesn't have to be one or the other. The "one wind per mage" rule is an artificial rule made to stop human wizards from blowing up.

The life would be attuned to Ghur, if it has a shell, that part would be attuned to Chamon, and it would probably be receptive to Aqshy and be able to channel it quite well. Ghyran is very rare deep down, but I imagine there'd be algae, lichen, and moss which would be receptive to it

MIND!

If it's deep enough, there's probably not actually a whole lot of magic around. As the winds would mostly settle on the surface of the ocean and only slowly leak down. That's why deep ocean water is devoid of Ghyran, while the surface will be rich in it.

I think life around thermal vents would actually be some of the last life on Malus that hasn't been touched by magic flowing from the broken polar gates. Same way that the hearts of the mountains are some of the last places untouched by the winds of morrslieb's glare.
