For the Scorpion Throne idea....

The Body annd Throne part like this Pic, but with Longer multijointed Legs that are Telescopic Blades.

The Tail more like this Pic as the Chandelier part that shines with Hysh/Aqshy, Tail needs to be Longer though.

Might need a Torso at the front to mount the Arms and Pincers on though, nothing Human like, maybe more of a Head with Arms attached? Like the Guard Scorpion from FF7 upper torso that Arms are mounted on.

Steel, Silver, Ivory, Fur etc as materials.
That sort of thing is a bit beyond you right now :p

But you could one day make a scorpion throne because who's gonna tell you to stop?

Yes, but at that point we would be better off building an elvish version of gronti

Eternal Sentinal

Caladorian steel statues of elven levi soldiers, who's steel body encases two pearls. One brown where the heart would normally sit, the other green where the brain would sit.

Enchantments
Ghur - Instinct
Ghryan - Intelegence
Chamon - Blood of Metal
Chamon - Animation
Hysh - Asuryan's Light

These statues are eternal defenders against the forces of chaos, crafted to remain ever vigilent against those that would strengthen the hold of chaos over the world. Their very presence burns chaos, much less the fact that they throw themselves spear first, all nearly one ton of themselves, at any creatures or demons of chaos they face. Their wounds flow golden and heal all but dismemberment. A set of 6 of these, and the secrets of their creation, are the last gift the mysterious elf smith who civilized the north left to the circle of shamen who, to this day, still watch over those lands. Only the original 6 take the form of elven soldiers. The later human crafted Sentinals are shaped to resemble Bjornling champions.

Now dozens of these ever vigilent defenders help push back the forces of chaos, constructed in hidden valleys away from chaos' reach.

I have to disagree, because in cells like this, it can just as easily be to prevent someone in the middle of things or high up from spilling secrets or leaving anything behind that might lead the one that killed them to other cells. I think he was at the very least the local ringleader/cell leader.
Patsy as in that he was taking orders from someone instead of being the person giving orders to other cults.

Someone had to tell the Tylos to leave, and if Alfar had a say he probably would've jumped aboard.

How about a Throne that is self mobilising? The Throne walks and leaps and kicks to bear it's owner in peace and in war.
I'm pretty sure that's just building a mecha, which is cool but also a really inefficient use of resources for something that doesn't even fit the Bjornling's theme.

The other supposition of what Alfar was doing makes too many assumptions. Even if we the players know about the skaven and vamps and what they can do, Luthien doesn't. Nor do we actually know who destroyed that village or for what purpose. I'd prefer not to speculate until we learn more.

[X] [PLOT] Alfar was either a supplier or middle man who sold warpstone to the southern lands to be used by unidentified magic users, likely chaos cultists.
[X] [MICHAEL] Torc of Isha's Hearth:
May Isha's blessing be upon the line of Michael! This Torc shall represent the notion of the family. It is comprised of a core of Caledorian Steel, wrapped around with a layer of Norscan Ivory from land predators and finished with a skin of Silver. It is hung upon a chain of Featherweight Caledorian Steel. Hsyh Runes invoking Isha of the Hearth, representing the family as a source of healing and order are inscribed upon the core of the Torc. Chamon to mend the Torc whenever it sustains damage is imbued into it. Ashy shall keep the wearer comfortable as if they are beside the family hearth. Ghur representing the grace of the predator, embedded upon Ivory shall improve the dexterity of the bearer, and the Runes of Ulgu inscribed on the silver skin shall keep the potency of this Torc hidden from eyes that might otherwise do the family harm. Such a torc truly will be fitting for a line of healers!

[X] [PLOT]: Alfar Igorsson was a sorcerer that had the village of Fimir's Bane annihilated in order to hide his true origins and prevent anyone from that village to be able to counter his alternative identity. The shaman of Jarl Igor Bjornkin was killed off to prevent him from being able to look into anything going on in that region and possible to make sure the Jarl could not put a stop to it if anything should be exposed since Alfar could waylay him. This also gave Alfar a jarl that was not too...paranoid to work under and would no doubt trust him when he needed to leave on 'shaman business' if asked.
Alfar as Erwuld Skolwin and Freja Sigridsdottir were part of a warpstone smuggling chain that would pass the goods in lead boxes to the ship Tylos's Lament. This prevented Alfar from being connected directly with the smuggling ring using Freja's shop as a cover to smuggle the warpstone through shipments of 'rich copper' to have something on the manifests as well as being exchanged to Alfar for possibly cursed or malignant artifacts made with the warpstone or for the warpstone, possibly by skaven or necromancers or vampires. This was shipped to persons unknown but likely to other chaos cults in the Empire and maybe Kislev.
The Tylos's Lament either had some kind of enchantment to let them know when the jig was up, possibly related to the death of Freja or Alfar or both, or whatever enterprise they were embarked on was completed by the year 1666 and it had no reason to come back. The event that caused this could have been very good or very bad, to cause Alfar to slip up in his usual efforts to contain his own drunkenness and as such may be part of what contributed to the ship not returning.
There were other shipments of warpstone that did not make it to the ship, suggesting that Skjold was the hub of an inter-chaos cult smuggling operation and that the Tylos's Lament was only one strand in a web of intrigue. The cult is most likely Tzeetchian in origin, especially with the spell that caused Alfar's body to self-immolate upon death, to ensure that his body could not be used to gain evidence or even his spirit to be pulled from the veil.

I read all these suggestions for Michael and boggle because my mind went to something a lot more like this. It's a wedding present, after all, and what do we know about the role of magic in elf weddings?

[X] [MICHAEL] Isha's Marital Furs: A massive spread of several bone beaver furs, stitched masterfully together and embroidered with delicate tracings of silver wire which invoke Isha's divine blessing upon the loving couple who rest within them, that they may be heathy, fertile, and sleep well within each others' arms. This is supplemented by an energizing imbuement of ghur, which ensures that there is always the energy available for the couple to see Isha's will done, and the magically clean nature of bone beaver furs ensures that everything is pristine and ready to be used once again by morning.

Luthien:

Michael:

Ooh, so tempting, but I think the Torc would be more useful overall

We have no access to bone beaver, it is not a common fur we have luxury furs like mink and marten but not bone beaven which along with jarl bear and mammoth are part of their own category.

Who are the Barrow Men? Is there anything referencing them, or are they effectively the tribes that existed in the Old World prior to the migration over the World's Edge Mountains, some of whom worshipped Nagash and others left all those, well, barrows and cairns you see referenced in the Vampire Count army book in regards to Grave Guard, Black Knights and Wight Kings?

They are the people who made all the barrows with wights in them, the various books set in Sigmar's time reference the barrows, which means they must at least be older than the coming of the pre-imperial tribes, books on Nehekara mention a sort of exchange of lore between barrow builders in the southern Reik Basin and the Mortuary Cult, but other than that we do not know much about them, nothing from their perspective.

Right, but how are they in Norsca as well, if these are specifically those Barrow Men?

Ugh, what's even the point of living in the most prominent trading town in Norsca, being a major player in its largest organized furrier's guild, and having every turn go through several-year timeskips if we can't purchase and use the most important Norscan goods on an as-needed basis? Just leave a pile of gold available with a "whoever brings me X fur gets this" note in the guildhall and wait a year, it should show up!

Good catch, though. I guess we can save that design for the next time someone we care about gets married.

Put two Dhar Traps next to each other, and they'll begin unravelling each other to get at the magic stored in each other. They're not clever enough to know not to recognize stored Dhar from the ambient kind.

That's what I thought, so can't afford to put them near each other or they will tear each other's enchantment to pieces right now. Good to know.

Not much. A bit of lead poisoning is an easy fix with healing magic.

That's what I figured, so for the elves they wouldn't really have an issue with continuing to use lead pipes in that cas

Well he was expecting to charge Luthien a silver per use. But in her fey mood, she just shoved the contents of her purse in his hands to avoid needing to haggle.

ye, the downsides of being in super creation mode.

"Here's ten gold dragons. Now make sure there's fresh linen and a bowl of clean water every day."

well he better be following through on that is all i'll say :p

eh, depends on what happened with the Tylos, as there's a good chance it wasn't sent back *because* something happened with Freja and Alfar, not before.

I feel a bit down that we missed that much character development. We really need to get those drugs ASAP.

Or you have some magical means where Luthien can sharpen her attention even when she is not in a creator funge, possibly by Ghyran or Chamon. Short of such a drug entering the action set of Luthien, the main tool we have is to study the ways the winds can work to promote mental acuity.

That's partly one of the reasons why the mental acuity enchantment was proposed for the Michael Masterwork, besides the fact that such an enchantment would be useful to any path that Michael's family chooses that involves a skilled trade. Because even if Luthien doesn't succeed, it will mean she's made an effort here, and it would mean addressing her tendency to lose track of time becomes something that she is actively looking into in her narrative progress, that we hopefully can vote for her to put actions into.

If we are in Super Creation mode on a crit, with 20 inspiration, we have a 40% chance of entering that mode....

Bravo Mayto, that's a wonderful way to also balance out the inspiration system.

I did propose an Amulet of Involvement.

Ghur- Heightened Senses
Aqshy- Passion & Impetus
Chamon- Mental Alertness

Your chances for getting support for something like this climbs if Luthien manages to succeed in making a Mental Acuity enchantment via Chamon with Surgeon's Torc. And put on Vaul's Love as a Divine Enchantment for this, because when Luthien falls into a creator's funge out of her passion for her craft, it means that the Amulet is further empowered due to the pool of Aqshy and Chamon available to Luthien.

Vaul's Love: When working your forge out of a genuine love of your craft, and with an earnest heartfelt desire to create. The forge you operate will burn with the warmth of dragonfire.
While working the flames of Vaul's Love, an almost unlimited pool of Aqshy and Chamon exists for you to draw upon.

I think that it will rather turn crits(which give like a ton of new insights) into normal high rolls because her works... Are practically sacred trances from Vaul...... Or perhaps I'm worried about nothing. Because she can always take it off.

I'd rather keep that because we don't really have anywhere to learn these things from another smith.

We should learn Khazalid just to understand the Dawi. We're neighbours now.

When Ulfar invited foreign dignitaries to visit Skjold, a few had shown up, just to gawk at her as she worked

It won't surprise me if some of these dignitaries were either from Middenland (and the Cult of Ulric), or Kraka Drak. If so, it won't surprise me that there will be hooks to helping Middenland in the future by inquiring about the Old World, or visiting Kraka Drak as a guest eventually by successfully making friendships with the Norscan Dawi that have moved into town.

Chammon Enchantment: Blood of metal: When this armour is damaged, golden metal flows from the cracks and begins to seal the damage. Can not replace missing components, but if they are re-attached, the armour will gradually heal itself.

I wonder if Bardum is interested in Blood of Metal as a trade. On the other hand though, it will give him an advantage in the Daemonplate contest.

She did not notice the walls constructed around Eirtir's blacksmith, so people would stop seeing her constant spellwork, or hear the sound of her hammer striking the ithilmar.

Future unlock 'private forge complex' is locked behind getting a lair.

If we successfully claim the Tower as a lair, we should probably build that dedicated private forge before going for another Masterwork. It won't surprise me Eirtir's Blacksmith shop now has exceptional amounts of ambient Chamon and Aqshy after Luthien worked in it for two straight years to make an epic masterwork with Vaul's Love active. Because we are technically showing off Luthien's spell abilities to any passerby, especially one with Second Sight.

@Mayto: There are two things I've spotted that hasn't been added to our character sheet.

Luthien learns
Combat Magic: Asuryan's Fire:
Asur mages do not just wield Aqshy, those that cultivate a connection to the Creator are able to wield Asuryan's fire. Cleansing white fire erupts from Luthien's outstretched hand, burning away at the chaotic and the corrupt.
Unlocks: Aqshy combat magic.

Is this an Asuryan Divine Combat magic, or an Aqshy Combat Magic? It hasn't been added to our character sheet yet in the most recent updates. Thanks!

"A guide to secrets." By Erasophania.

Secondly, this book hasn't been added to our list of Tomes on Arcane Lore, for Ulgu. Hope that helps!
