Quest Idea Thread

Quest set in Legend of Korra itself. Don't care if it's an SV generated OC, reincarnation, or Spirit quest, just one set during the Korra time period. :(
Over on Bay12 Forums HugoLuman - I think - is doing a multiple player character game set in an AU LoK. It's in it's infancy, but I've already gotten my waterbending teen runaway partnered up with a psychopathic homeless guy who murders firebenders. So far it's been really fun!

Idea: Centauri Renegade House Quest (Babylon 5)

You play as minor Centauri noble house. During the late 22nd century, the Centauri Republic entered terminal decline. As the Republic retreated, many of it's territories were abandoned to be claimed by former slaves or expanding young powers (like Earth).

Your house, however, decided to stay. Your ancestors conquered your current holdings during the glory days of Republic, and by the Great Maker, you will fight to bitter end to keep it from uppity slaves and young races.

Your endeavor will be hard and bloody; those sniveling cowards in Centaurum considers your house a traitor and renegade (hah!), raider bands are more active than ever, and other races covets your territory. The most dangerous foes you would face in early days of quest would be the Narns and Drazi: the former HATES Centauri, and might decides to erase your house from face of the galaxy as practice for their final war against the Republic itself, while the latter is, well, Drazi. The fact that you are considered renegade by the Republic means that you wont find much friends with legitimate governments and groups, either.

But don't be too discouraged. Some people within the Republic are sympathetic to your goal, as they too are longing for the rebirth of power the Centauri once held. And you are Centauri, your race played the game of cloak & dagger long enough to become unquestioned masters-at least among Younger Races, that is.

Be steadfast, be quick as Vorchan and devious as Drakhs, and your house will be immortalized in the annals of history.

Another Quest Idea!

City Guard Quest
You were born to a poor farming family with too many kids already, on a trip to town they got a senior city guard to adopt you. You grew up with an understanding of diligence and hard work. You are now one of the many men who work in the city guard after your dad retired. Your job is to keep the peace, and protect the city from bandits and the like.

Mechanics wise this will be a simple 1d100 quest with traits modifying the roll and results. Keeping it simple and fun.

[] Name
[X] Male
[] Appearance

What city do you guard?
[] Magitopia a city full of mages. You wondered why this place needed city guards until you witnessed one of the near annual wizard disaster. It rained fish for hours until the city guard managed to figure out the wizard responsible and get him to fix the problem. (Gain Basic Magic Trait, Gain Dealing With Bloody Wizards Trait)

[] Puellamagia a city full of magical girls. One of the most attacked cities in the kingdom, it is attacked on a near weekly basis and almost always while you're on break. You dread taking breaks now, but at least most of the citizens usually spend time volunteering to be part of the guard for a month. (Gain Teamwork Trait, Gain Experienced Monster Slayer Trait)

[] Commerik a trading hub for the kingdom. Nearly half the trade routes pass through Commerik at some point or another, you've gotten used to hunting down pickpockets, thieves, and fighting off bandits. (Gain Tracking Trait, Gain Bandit Slayer Trait)

[] Gladitorium a city famed for its gladiator combat, people come from far and wide to watch the battles that take place in the arena. A lot of these people are either rich, powerful, or both. You've gotten skilled at talking your way out of trouble, and beating up people with more power than common sense. (Gain Silver Tongue Trait, Gain Efficient Trait)

[] Priestorium a holy city with more temples, churches, and holy artifacts than you can shake a stick at. It seems like every hero has to come through here to pick up a holy artifact or blessing before setting out to fight some evil thing. Unfortunately some of them are barely worth the title of hero, and demons and evil gods love attacking the many holy buildings in the city. Thank god for all the many healing powers here. (Gain Evil Slayer Trait, Gain Dealing with Heros Trait)

I'd prefer to see a dude who only earth-bends for building/other mundane purposes, and is shocked to find out they're the avatar because "fighting's for girls!" For some reason the idea amuses me.
I am fine with both of these things.

Hell, why wouldn't both of these things work together.

I mean, it makes sense that they guy who thinks fighting is for girls would go to the girls for training once he is put into a position where he has to learn how to fight.

So both of our ideas work together flawlessly.

You brought this on yourself with 'Luke Atmey' and your avatar.

(If you absolutely need a male MC, substitute in Mike Meekins instead. And may Iustitia have mercy on us all.)

Yep City Guards are all men and thus the MC will be male. Union rules. Also I'm fairly sure people wouldn't want the page of ranting every update. It would be mutual suffering. Except for the women pretending to be men. Questions are left unasked, and social conventions are to pretened they are men just like everyone else. Complete with cheesy lines like "FELLOW MAN WE ARE GUARDING THIS GATE WELL TODAY:".

This board is seriously in need of a Phoenix Wright quest.

THREAD CREATED CITY GUARD QUEST

Note as there isn't a consensus I'ma gonna need you guys to repost your votes and argue over which character / city is the best combo. Or funniest. Or the one you like the best.

I've got some old idea sketches and thoughts, but I haven't really managed to get one up yet. I might do a PW quest (as Defendant or Prosecutor) after I get the 'Mystery Challenges' Quest/Thing going (where people trade mysteries and the first one to solve it gets to submit the next one, or default it to me to post a new one.) and Angela White Quest past prologue + arc 1, because when I start those two up they'll probably eat up a lot of my writing time.

Klein Quest-A Parallel S.A.O. Quest

You, Ryoutarou Tsuboi, have made many mistakes in your life.

There was the incident with your father when you were seven,

Going to that samurai exhibited with your buddies instead of taking Meiko to the movies the first year in high school,

Becoming an accountant out of school instead of going to college and becoming a war historian,

But currently your biggest mistake was convincing your best friends to join you in buying and playing the VRMMO Sword Art Online on launch day.

It had seemed like the best thing to happen to gaming, much less your life. Your true dream of being a samurai and defeating the enemies in front of you with a sword in your hand and your friends beside you. Kayaba Akihiko had changed all of that by turning it into a death game.

However, you have also made many correct choices in your life.

Helping your mother get over her depression.

Learning you have a knack for RTS games and helped your friends through many MMORPGs.

Using your job to help others even if you never received thanks or extra pay.

And of course, meeting the beta tester Kirito and having him teach you how to fight in this new world before this 'Tutorial' ended.

But many more choices still lie before you.

In fact:
Should this be a quest?
[ ] Yes
[ ] No
[ ] Let a more experienced person do it. (As in I'm lacking a lot of info though I also wouldn't mind Co-Authoring)
