I regret to inform you, we are more or less in the middle of endgame territory here. I would also seriously caution you against assuming I won't kill characters who people like off.Hmm, interesting quest. I probably won't be an active contributor, nor vote most often, but I've read through the quest thus far and like it and received some inspiration. Plus, if this was a show, I'd hold off on having Rose get torn up till the end, and I think the quest's reached the point most of the characters are simply too important to kill off, liked too much to kill off, or not important enough to produce a shock.
I have accepted write-ins previously and do so on a case-by-case basis. I feel compelled to note that yours represents a considerably more dramatic, immediate tactical disadvantage compared to the provided options, though.@Gazetteer, one, interesting quest you've got! Two, is out off the box thinking being accepted?
(Also the post ended up way longer than I intended.)
Ah, that's unfortunate. Still, at least I saw it in time to read through and enjoy it, and I'll catch the ending as it happens. I wasn't assuming you wouldn't kill off characters people like.I regret to inform you, we are more or less in the middle of endgame territory here. It's probably too late to matter at this point, but would "The Empress is dead" be an acceptable write in?I regret to inform you, we are more or less in the middle of endgame territory here. I would also seriously caution you against assuming I won't kill characters who people like off.

It is heavily damaged, not destroyed.Oh boy, Rose is getting destroyed once again for the who knows how many times
While I am still absolutely torn trying to pick my poison, I do know that I absolutely don't want civilian casualties now. So I'll use "what option is best suited to keep that vote down" as my internal tiebreaker.
Because it is avoidable at the moment. Why is everyone so reluctant to accept civilian casualties for any vote ever?
It's called part of "the horrors of war". Bring in that piece of it!
Civilians didn't sign up to get shot at by zealots, and were minding their lives just fine. Anja's already lost Ito, let's not get her family killed (and even Mazlo being a right proper ass doesn't deserve getting his family blown up).Why is everyone so reluctant to accept civilian casualties for any vote ever?

If we can trade hundreds of soldiers for thousands of civilians, that is the sort of trade soldiers are meant for. Bonus points when the offer is"OwusuSomeone you care for is lost", since it then is only one life for said thousands of civilians. That's a good cold calculus.

The problem is that it wouldn't be the characters failing to save everyone, it would be us refusing to let them save everyone. But I kind like the idea of watching the characters we love swallow the bitter pill that they couldn't save anyone and feeling very bad indeed about those faceless millions.

That would by definition necessitate for the surface of Titan to be hit, so it's in practice a more punitive version of an option you already have available. It's probably too late to matter at this point, but would "The Empress is dead" be an acceptable write in?
The Rose does have escape pods, so I cannot garuntee that literally everyone onboard would die if the ship were fatally damaged. The latter won't happen until the next vote, taking everybody with it...
I think the last Gundam show @Gazetteer watched was Iron-Blooded Orphans.
Just saying. There is surely no other reason why I bring this up.
