This one sounds good!

Next chapter is coming out today, sometime between 4-5. Afterwards, we'll be having a special Sidestory from another Archmages perspective, early on Tuesday. It'll be fun, trust me.

Nice! Its most likely going to be during my class hours, but Nice! Lets see how our dysfunctional triplets are doing.

Sunday, Feburary 25
9:30 AM, ???

You groggily open your eyes. Where are you?

As you begin to adjust to the light, you suddenly realize where you are. On the other end of the couch you're sitting on, you see Jun typing on his laptop. He notices that you're awake, and waves.

"Hey Rei! You and Akemi pretty much fainted from exhaustion once you got off of that motorcycle, so me and Himari had to carry both of you in."

You get off the couch, and look around. You're in Jun's apartment. Despite Jun having lived alone for the past couple of years (until you and Himari barged into his life once again), the apartment is very clean and well organized. You spot some computer parts stuffed in a clear plastic box on the desk behind him, but that's the messiest thing in the room.

"Where are Himari and Akemi right now?"

"I let Himari take my bed, and Akemi's in the guest room. I just slept on the desk over there, and I tossed you over onto the couch."

You fight the urge to roll your eyes. Classic Jun. You hear a noise from the hallway, and your head turns to see Akemi, walking out of the guest room with messy hair.

"Hey there Jun, Rei. Good to see you."

Red_I
>Is she still wearing her clothes from yesterday?

We gotta make a laundry run soon.

Jun looks at Akemi, and seems to have the same few thoughts run through his head. He sighs, closes his laptop, and gets off the couch. "Rei, wake up Himari. I've got some stuff to do."

"Eh? You look like you've been up for at least an hour typing. What else do you have left to do?"

Jun looks at you with that same old "are you serious?" expression. "What else? I gotta make breakfast for all you girls. Somebody's gotta make sure you all don't starve to death."

Sunday, Feburary 25
9:40 AM, Tokyo, Jun's Apartment

"Breakfast is served, everybody. Please eat, this cost me some good money."

Jun hands each of you some plates, which have some scrambled eggs and a croissant from the local bakery. In the middle of the table, there's a bowl filled with grapes. As soon as the plate hits the table, Himari reaches out and snatches up some grapes. "Hey, this is nice. Practically never got this kinda stuff back in the Guild." She says, while chewing the grapes. (Ew.)

Akemi politely looks out the window, trying to ignore the hacker gremlin talking while chewing, before speaking. "Eh, after a while you'll get used to good food. Personally, after four years of getting my own food and jobs, I think cantaloupes are better."

You finish taking another bite of your croissant before wiping your mouth and speaking. "You all are uncultured, apples are way better. If they're red, the green ones suck. Besides, you can even eat them while you're walking for maximum efficiency."

As this is all happening, Jun gets off of the table, and comes back with his laptop. "Sorry about interrupting this riveting conversation ladies and by the way watermelon is better but you never heard that from me, but, uh, would you mind if I get Rei and Akemi up to speed on what I discovered?"

Himari rolls her eyes. "Just try not to go too fast, I don't want any spit takes."

Both you and Akemi look at Himari in concern, but Jun takes that as a sign to continue. "Alright, so I fistfought some of the Skull Faces that were in the area around you. Kicked one in the nuts, threw another one into a wall, the works. Thankfully, everyone was on lunch break, so I managed to get by without getting caught by the police."

Jun takes a bite of his eggs, before continuing. "So, I looked in their utility belts, and managed to grab their phones. While I didn't get much out of most of them, one of them was an idiot and used fingerprint ID, so I managed to get into his phone. Himari hacked all his passwords on the ride back home, so now we have access to the average Skull Face's internet history."

"The guy had some weird things that he liked. I wasn't even aware you could sexualize some of those things." Himari adds, with a small shiver.

"Yeah, that. Oh, and I also swiped all the other ones and erased the data, so now I've got some spare burner phones. So that's nice. But anyways, we got some leads on the operations that particular Skull Face was going to get sent on later. Operation "Unraveling A Fashionista"… I assume that's you, Akemi, was going to put Rensoku Apartments through something called a "Vanishment". Thankfully, that didn't happen."

"It's probable that the goal of what they were trying to do was related to the Archfiend dude inside that weird labyrinth." Akemi adds. "Though unlike what I've heard, all of the residents of Rensoku didn't get sacrificed, only injured. Maybe the Void was pulling prana from every single person that lived inside there?"

Purrson jumps up onto the table from below, completely unseen by Jun. "Pulling prana, the energy of life itself, from so many people wouldn't have been something fast. But it's definitely possible. It's likely we were being drained by the Glyph they activated even during that conversation we were having, without us even noticing."

That sends an involuntary shiver down your spine, and you see even Himari take a glance out the window, just to check.

Jun sighs. "Yeah, we should probably go and figure out how they can do that later. But first, let me just get through this next part."

He coughs into his fist, before starting. "This Skull Face was meant to participate in a few espionage and theft operations, before starting up on a super classified "big operation" on Awakening Day. First of all, they were trying to go and break into Showtime Studios. They called it "Operation Showdown", or something stupid like that."

Akemi puts down her fork. "Those guys? Aren't they those people working on holograms?"

"Not only that, but they're working on complex hard light constructs. So far, you've only got stuff like the Shibuya Crossing Upper, which is really only a couple of clear walls and floors when you think about it. Showtime Studios are in charge of making things like those that can move, without being weapons of war."

Jun turns his laptop around, revealing a colorful webpage.

Grand Showtime Tour!
Buy one of our products within the alloted time, and you'll get a digital ticket. If the secret cipher on it translates to one of our special keywords, you'll be one of our lucky 100 to get a tour of Showtime Studios!

Himari holds up her phone. "It looks like Umbra was trying to buy a crap ton of tickets so that they could get into these studios. Thankfully, they don't have a technopath like me, so I just hacked the dude's phone and made his ticket a winning one. It's been transferred to both you and Rei, Akemi."

"Me?" Akemi asks, "why?"

Jun brushes the hair out of his eyes. "It's important because aside from regular floats, Showtime's been commissioned to make a good third of the holographic floats for Awakening Day. If Umbra gets into Showtime, it's probable that they could find a way to sneak into some of those floats and… yeah. Each ticket takes two, and Himari would probably be too socially awkward to do any good spying."

Himari just shrugs in resignation.

"Next up on the agenda, apparently there's something going on in Harajuku. Operation "Modal Cost". Rei, you're going on that again."

Akemi instantly raises her hand. "Yo, can I go as well? Please? I need a new wardrobe anyways."

Jun bites his lip. "Ok, but I'd like to warn you about something. Umbra's partnered up with the local Yakuza family, and that's a whole can of worms I'm not willing to get into. Apparently, they're offering a bunch of money to desperate young people to go and be models, and I'm willing to assume that the ones that don't perform well either get sold to the underworld or consumed for those Shades."

"Doesn't matter. Still wanna go to Harajuku with Rei."

Jun hits Akemi with the most "absolutely done with this" look possible, before turning his gaze back to you and Akemi.

"Next up… this one sucks. Y'know those motorcycles I got for you guys?"

You take a look at the two blue bags on the counter. Inside those bags that could fit inside the palm of your hand, there are two motorcycles. Cool as hell. "Yeah? What about em?"

Jun turns around his laptop, clicking and clacking buttons until he finds what he wants.. "The company behind them— the motorcycles, not the bags— Umbra is looking to make a deal with them. AccelTech. They call it Operation Acceleration. Which, to be honest, is one of their better names so far."

"Would Umbra really do that? Most companies can be weird at times, but would they be "make a deal with a death cult" weird?" Himari asks.

DorMous_III
>Yes. Yes they would.

"Please stop talking to me, small yellow mouse girl."

Jun seems like he desperately wants to ask, but decides to not be nosy. "Well, AccelTech has pioneered some teleportation tech and magic, which could revolutionize the world, but they only choose to use it for commissions from rich people, transferring materials, and moving their own stuff. I wouldn't put it past them."

He turns around the laptop, revealing a picture of glistening white skyscrapers and well dressed people in suits. He pinches out the image just a bit, to reveal that the skyscrapers are built on artificial islands, which are floating in midair.

"The deal will take place in Elganjo. It's four hours away from Tokyo if you take the fastest train and six to eight if you don't. Himari, I think you've probably heard of it."

She nods. "My friends Hanzo and Hina were sent there once for a high-profile business assassination. I don't know who asked for the kill, since I was just on overwatch, but what I do know is that the higher ups made bank off of it. We had three meals a day instead of two for months."

Akemi seems to groan through her teeth. "I was in charge of cleaning up an aftermath of a kill there, and had to learn all about its "esteemed history" as part of my cover story. It's a floating province held up entirely by Air Glyphs and spite. Made by the government 15 years ago, bought and currently owned by all the richest megacorps. The verification process to get in alone takes an hour."

DorMous_III
>Oh god, it's my worst nightmare.

Red_I
>Don't worry! We can probably hack it dead! I think.

Jun carries on, ignorant to the ruckus in your head. "The deal won't take place until very close to Awakening Day, so we have some time. It'll take me a while to get you all up there, though. Next thing on the evil person agenda is an operation in Shonai, also known as Operation Leviathan. About four hours away, and home to both the village where the story of Urashima Taro allegedly took place, and the Shonai Underwater Settlement."

Himari puts down her water mid drink, swallows it, and looks at Jun in bewilderment. "Wait, that place exists for real? The Guild told me those people died out years ago."

"It does. After the advent of Water-Breathing Glyphs, about 300 people settled down there. Mostly government employees, rich folks, young adults looking for adventure, and some marine biology students that are studying there. Most of what Umbra mentioned was related to the underwater geothermal plant there- my guess is that they're trying to steal the research. But they also mentioned some weirdo only in hushed tones, called "The Siren", and they also mentioned Magical Animals. Which is weird, since from what's available from what the government shows of Shonai, animals shouldn't be able to use magic."

"Spooky. You think the Siren's another Magical Girl?"

Jun turns around his laptop one more time, typing in another new message. "I've got no clue. Maybe. The gov people try their best to not have too much info spread from Shonai. My guess is that it's some sort of Glyph hot zone. But here's the last thing I got from the guy before I left him passed out on the street." He takes out a flash drive and shows it to all of you. "The location of an Umbra base. About twenty or so minutes away if we just take the trains."

Akemi raises an eyebrow. "It's a risky play, trying to displace their operations by strolling right up into their business like that. We could definitely stand to get some really good intel if we do that, though."

You grimace. "…there's a catch though, isn't there?"

Jun nods grimly. "Yup. They say that Dokuro, who I think is the boss in this part of Tokyo, is always hanging around there, giving orders. And when he isn't there, he's willing to run all the way across Tokyo upon news of "The Girl".

"…who's "The Girl?" you ask.

"Normal height. Brown hair. Apparently personally insulted Dokuro. Probably you, Maruki. Also, they're trying to find where "the Girl" lives, and are planning to kill her on Awakening Day."

You take a deep breath in, and put your head into your hands. Of course you're a top priority target for an evil death cult because of your incredible wit. Of course.

Cheshire_V
>…would this mean that we're cooked now?

[PLS] [STOP ]

Jun turns to you. "Those are all the possible avenues we can take to stop Umbra. But before we continue, does anyone want to opt out? We might be wrong about them trying to discover our locations on Awakening Day. For all we know, they're just gonna do something with the floats, and I know that's not really our problem."

For a second, the notion of running away from this vaguely crosses your mind. But you dismiss it. "Nah, I'm a bit selfish. I still want my getback for getting shot in the stomach and Dokuro trying to kidnap my friends."

Akemi sighs. "They knew where my old house was and tried to kill all of my neighbors. Count me in, I've got a bone to pick with Umbra now."

Himari just finishes off the bowl of grapes and shrugs. "I've gotta keep my skills in practice. Besides, fighting evil is genuinely kinda fun."

"Very well then," Jun says, "Looks like we're in this for the long run. Rei, I'll have you decide which one of these operations we'll be interrupting first. Where do you wanna go with this?"

ARC 1: PRIDEFUL POWER/PRIDE BEFORE A FALL - START
"Have confidence in the very air that surrounds you."

Plan Phase!

Week 4: February 26-March 1st

Current Amount Of Capital: 2
Current Objectives: Discover the secrets of Umbra. Don't get killed.

4 WEEKS UNTIL REVERSAL OF AWAKENING. (29TH OF MARCH)

Missions:

These are confirmed leads that will directly progress the main plot, and are counted as Major Actions. A combat encounter is almost guaranteed if you take a mission unless said otherwise.

You may take missions in any order, but you may take only up to two missions per turn. No more than that.

All missions on Arc 1 give Intel on Umbra, so that isn't listed. Also, since you got over 100 on that earlier check last update, Jun has much more intel on each mission than you would have had normally.

-[ ] Mystic Liquid
Out on the Shonai Peninsula, a bit out towards the coast, there is an underwater province of Tokyo, founded by a certain group ten years ago. The young residents of this place breathe and swim easily using water Glyphs, and apparently there's… magical animals there? You don't know. Getting access is really hard.
Jun says that there's been reports of Umbra activity there— apparently, someone's been messing with the geothermal power plants down underneath the ocean. You should look into that. Besides, how hard can swimming be?

Jun: Well, if Umbra gets down into the Shonai Settlement, there's a good chance that they'll be able to take some of the rumored "Magical Beasts" down there. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that doing that is the real reason why they're making moves to get their people into Shonai. I'd recommend at least partially pursuing this lead if you don't want to get your face bitten off by sharks.

Also, there's been some rumors of a "siren", who's entrancing the animals with her voice. Like some sort of fucked-up fairy tale princess. We haven't heard any rumors of her entrancing humans… yet. But you can deal with her Rei, I know you can.

-Part 1 out of 3 of the (Seas Of Shonai) questline.
-This counts as TWO Major Actions. As such, it isn't recommended to do alongside Scout The Skies.
-Himari will be coming along.
-Chance of alliance with Magical Girl "Ariel" and/or Kamen Rider "Voyager", two heroes that are quite good at swimming.
-Eventual encounter with Dark Magical Girl "Siren".
-Gain the action [Explore Shonai] at the end of this Questline!

-[ ] Scout The Skies
Eiganjo. A stupidly expensive project made by the government and some billionaires. It's a bunch of flying islands, held up by a crap-ton of Air Glyphs. It's mostly a tourist destination and rich people haven. Ugh.

However, if Umbra was to disrupt the record-setting Awakening Day parade there, it would cause panic throughout all of Japan. Even if they don't do that, there's still a lot of money that's very easy to take once the community accepts any of their spies. It's recommended that you stop that.

Jun: I've got good news, bad news, and terrible news. Good news, Awakening Day is taking place down in Tokyo, so we don't have to worry about Umbra crashing a floating chunk of land into our houses. Bad news, Awakening Day is taking place in Tokyo, in the chunk near where we are.

Terrible news: I've heard that Umbra's trying to make deals with some of the big corps up here. Them investing in teleportation and cybernetic augments sounds like a terrifying thing for us to deal with, even if both those things are still mostly in beta.

Wait, what do you mean you've got a portal to Kyoto? Rei? Rei, get over here!

-Part 1 out of 3 of the (Sky Palaces Of Eiganjo) questline.
-This counts as TWO Major Actions. As such, it isn't recommended to do alongside Mystic Liquid.
-You may choose between Akemi & Purrson or Himari to come along.
-Chance of alliance with Magical Girl "Nobelle Diamante", someone with a LOT of money.
-Possible sponsorship by Rensoku Consortium or H-Space Corp.
-Eventual encounter with AccelTech and Dark Rider "Lightspeed".
-Gain the action [Explore Elganjo] at the end of this Questline!

-[ ] Fashion Forward
Akemi's always been into fashion, but it seems that her time away from you and the Guild stoked this fire even further. Also, apparently Umbra's doing something in Harajuku, aka Japan's fashion central? Something about fake modeling opportunities?

You dunno. You just wanna spend more time with Akemi.

Jun: Nope. Nuh-uh. The Yakuza are involved. Something about selling "people, drugs, and opportunities?"

I'm not fucking with them. Long story. You and Akemi can go and beat up some people, I'm just gonna be overwatch.

-Part 1 out of 2 of the (Fashion Of Harajuku) questline.
-Akemi & Purrson will be coming along.
-Meet Kamen Rider "Yoshiki", a man with a flair for the beautiful. Chance of new Card Spirit/form.
-Intel on… the Yakuza???
-Counts as a Social Action with Akemi, if that interests you.

-[ ] Magic is Showtime!
After a very lucky break (read: Himari and Jun hacking the website), Akemi got invited to Showtime Studios, a group of Thaumaturges and engineers in charge of the Magitech holographic constructs deployed on each Awakening Day. You'll be her +1! This could be a good opportunity to see what security measures are or aren't there.

Also, apparently you can see one of Kira's friends there! Cool!

Jun: I didn't actually hack the website. You're giving me too much credit. I stole a ticket from a Skull Face's pocket. Himari just hacked the ticket itself to make it one of the winning ones. But Showtime Studios is a genuinely good place to check out; and it would be nice to see if Umbra's there, trying to muck about.

-Part 1 out of 2 of the (Dance, Sorcerer, Dance!) questline.
-Combat is unlikely.
-Akemi & Purrson will be coming along.
-Get to meet Archmage No. 3. Eventual chance of formal alliance with The Archmages, chance of new Card Spirit/form.
-Meet Shelley Marie untransformed, a Magical Girl with an appreciation for the arts.
-Chance of an encounter with Umbra or Dark Rider ???. Combat is still unlikely, however, as they will also be untransformed and taking notes.
-Gain Intel on Awakening Day and Showtime Studios.

-[ ] Reading Up!
Himari has no clue what Awakening Day is, and to be honest, neither do you. Maybe visit your local library?

Jun: Go out and socialize the tyke bomb some more. Go, do it.

-Almost certainly not getting you into any combat.
-Gives Himari some much needed Social, Intel on Awakening Day, and some much needed real life experience.
-Jun and Himari will be coming along.
-Meet up with Kazuo Isamu, someone with a natural knowledge of the city.
-Possibly also gain intel on Umbra and The Archmages.

-[ ] Tracking The Shadows
It's time to track down one of Umbra's bases, and get some direct answers. Jun can do it, it'll just take some time.

Jun: Some of the Skull Faces I fist fought had some maps on them. I could triangulate the location that we need to find from there. It would take a minute, but I'd be able to do it.

-Go to hell, and come back with the knowledge that you need.
-Fight Kamen Rider Dokuro, someone with a very familiar mask. Also fight a crap ton of Skull Faces. Like, at minimum ten at once.
-Chance of gaining capital, intel on Umbra, alliance with ???, new Card Spirit/form, new Skills for Akemi and Himari, and ???.
-All main characters (Jun, Akemi, Himari, Purrson) will be coming along for the ride.
-Recommended: Take on weeks 6-7, or when Rei is Level 5-6.

-[ ] Wake Up [STORY REQUIREMENTS UNMET]
It's time to take the fight to Umbra. You want to keep your home, and your life, no matter what it takes.

-It's not time yet.
-Becomes available Week 7, must be taken Week 8.

Major Actions
Thanks to the effects of your rest last week, you currently have FOUR of these.

(QM Note: you may take two more Minor Actions and one more Major, but it's worth noting that Burnout will have its consequences week 5.)

-[ ] Try to look for other local heroes. (DC ???, Mental)
-Does not attempt to look for either Secret Society— that is literally impossible at the moment.
-At the moment, success is not likely in the slightest due to Monstrous Composition, but you might be able to get the DC down.
-If you roll high enough, there's a small chance you might get to meet the local hero of Akihabara…

-[ ] Investigate a rumor you heard. (DC 45/70/90, Social)
-You've heard that a new Kamen Rider has appeared. He's got pirate theming, water powers, and completely sucks at being a Kamen Rider. Like, holy fuck, this guy would lose to you in a fight in about ten seconds.
-This might be a good chance to get a look into the so-called "hero culture."
-Himari is interested (though more morbidly curious) in this action.
-Fleeting: Will disappear after two weeks.

-[ ] Look more into the Void Glyph with Kira's help. (DC 32, Magical.)

-Kira's already said that she was interested in doing this.
-Lowers the DC of (Try and Harness the Void Glyph.)
-May unlock new Magic options with Kira.
-Akemi is interested in this action.

-[ ] Gather some covert intel on Umbra. (Medium DC, Mental.)
-You know that Mr. Skull Face likely still remembers your face. It's better that you get a drop on them first.
-May trigger a small combat encounter on failure.

-[ ] (NEW) Have a "talk" with Purrson.
-You know that the cat knows something. The cat knows that he knows something, but he doesn't know what he knows. It's time to look into this.
-Gain ???.
-???
-???
-??? (Why am I even showing you all these?)
-Fleeting: Will disappear after two weeks.

Minor Actions
You currently have THREE of these.

-[ ] Find, fight, and interrogate a group of Skull Faces.
-Will trigger a small combat encounter.
-On success, you might get some more intel about Umbra…

-[ ] Go to your local dojo.
-You've already paid the subscription fee for this month. (Subscription expires after this week!)
-Will boost Physical for this week only.
-You may also gain access to new moves and EXP.
-[ ] Take a break at the library. Learn something.
-Increases EXP, dice type for increase depending on how high a Mental roll goes.
-May boost either Mental or Social temporarily for this week.
-May find new leads.

-[ ] Attempt to research the history of Kamen Riders and Magical Girls again. (DC 45/65)
-Might make certain checks a bit easier.
-Akemi is interested in this action.

-[ ] Recall Memory (DC ???)
-You'll discover the DC(s) for this after first doing this action.
-May give you some more insight into Rei's past, and produces a Memory for a spell.

-[ ] Recall Memory (Special)
-Uses up your Recollection Enhancer to get you multiple choices for a memory.
-Requires no DC.
-Even the QM has no fucking clue what this'll get you.
-[ ] Work the cashier at Animate. (Low DC)
-Gives 2-3 Capital.
-Not much going on this week. Maybe week 5 will have something interesting.

-[ ] (NEW) Get Nakayama some help. (DC 40/60)
-This man has had mostly the same few things circulating in his shop for two weeks now. This isn't the guy who Kira introduced you to. Get him some self care.
-May progress Tech features. Next turn, Nakayama is guaranteed to have all new stuff!

-[ ] (NEW) Visit the Gundam Factory with Arata.
-Starts on the Build Gundam side story.
-You may meet some very intelligent people.
-Himari is interested in coming along, but you'll have to explain to Arata why she's so… like that.

-[ ] Try to socialize with Aoi, make sure the bar's ok. (DC 70)
-Might grant access to a new part-time job (which yes, you can balance with the Animate thing.)
-Even if the check fails, you'll still get to socialize with Aoi.

-[ ] Spend some time with someone.
—[ ] (Who?)

Mai
-Might get a promotion! Yay for found family nepotism(?)
Arata (already covered above)
Kira
-Might gain more insight into how Glyphs work!
Nakayama
-Might get to know some other interesting inventors!
Aoi (already covered above)
Jun
-Might get to catch up with the dude!

-[ ] (NEW) Work on being "a real superhero team". (Low DC)
-Himari's been reading a lot of manga in her new free time. Oh lord.
-May get you dramatic transformation poses and cool names!
-May increase Social and maybe even Mental! Or might make you die of cringe!
-[ ] Try to channel the powers of the Void Glyph. (DC 85)
-???
-Akemi is interested in this action, but recommends asking Kira about the Void Glyph first.

-[ ] Talk with the strange spirits you've just met.
—[ ] Which one?

-Gains a small ability unlock for a card spirit.
-Choose either one of the two you currently have.

-[ ] Try to do some research on that mysterious deck. (DC ???)
-Somewhat likely to get you nothing at the moment, but there is a chance.
-Purrson will be willing to help.

-[ ] (NEW) Get some help with the voices in your head. (DC 60)
-Purrson's already offered to help. This is just simply a quick way to get to it.
-May increase Mental and Magical!
-[ ] Ask the Mad Scientist for something new to defend yourself with.
-Force refreshes Nakayama's shop, with a bonus chance of getting something rarer or discounted.
-Three items that can be used in daily life or in combat will pop up for purchase, and may remain there if not chosen. (prices may fluctuate)
-You will not know how much something will cost until you see it.

-[ ] "Safely" "Prototype" something with Nakayama. (DC 50/75)
-This one might hurt.
-Advances your progress towards more Tech features, and Nakayama working with you on Rider stuff.
-Himari is interested in this action.

-[ ] Surf the web. (DC 45/60/80)
-Now that you're sure that you won't get jumped (digitally) try and look around! Search for something interesting!
-Might find new Major Actions!
-Himari and the Malice Collective are (obviously) interested in this action. Having the Malice Collective lowered the DC for this action.

Free Actions
These actions are extremely easy to do— Rei can finish them on her way home from her job.

You may take as many of these as you please.
-[ ] Work at Animate, but only part time.
-Gains 1 Capital.
-Does not require DC, and always gives this much.
-Prevents Mai from firing you.
-Obviously mutually exclusive with Work the cashier at Animate (Low DC), since that involves actually putting effort into your job.

-[ ] Explore Tokyo
-Why? Why not?
-You may meet some interesting people.
-Chance of random rewards.
-thanks to the effects of Acceltech Explorer, your first [Explore] action is free. However, if you take another one, that'll count as a Minor Action.

-[ ] Explore Kyoto
-Kira has a portal, so you may as well use it.
-You may meet some interesting people.
-Chance of random rewards.
-Akemi is quite interested in this action.
-thanks to the effects of Acceltech Explorer, your first [Explore] action is free. However, if you take another one, that'll count as a Minor Action.

-[ ] Craft A Spell
-Only the first usage of this action is free.
-This action may be used multiple times in a turn, but the second one and up costs one minor action.
-You'll be able to decide what you want once we get into the week proper.

-[ ] Buy something from Nakayama.
Nakayama's Offerings:
Binocular Glasses (1 Cost)
Grade 1

Condition: Brand New

They're like glasses, but if you tap the top right corner, they zoom in on whatever you're focusing on! They help out with surveying! And, uh, other stuff! Like photography!

-Gain a passive +10 to perception checks from having this on you. (Can be given to other people as a gift.)
-You may use this to gain advantage on checks to scout or checks where it would make sense.

Repair Kit (3 Cost)
Grade 2
Condition: Brand New
Consumable

You haven't bought that many pieces of tech, but getting into self-repair saves a lot of money.
-Can only be used two times.
-Increases another piece of tech's durability.

Spell Eater (3 Cost)
Grade 2
Condition: Great (d90)

This one's a traditional charm, but for some reason— you know that thing where some things get infused with Glyphs randomly? Yeah, it does the opposite of that.

-Once during combat, when you are hit with a Magical attack, this talisman will absorb it.
-At the end of your turn, it will explode, lowering its durability/condition and dealing half the magic damage to both you and a random enemy.
-[ ] Buy something from Kira.
Kira's Collection Of Junk:
Water Glyph x2 (3 Capital, 50% off!)
Air Glyph x1 (2 Capital)
-[ ] Buy something from Jun.
Jun's Black Market Dealings:
Most of the things that Jun could have found were too expensive, but he did get…

Underworld Heat: (0/100)

Items:
Convenient Bug (2 Cost)
Grade 1

Incredibly untraceable. All you have to do is give somebody a handshake, or a pat on the back, and this bugger will latch onto their clothes. It can survive laundry cycles, and transmits any spying data back to any computer that we want.

-Opens up a few write-ins.
-A bit morally reprehensible, but since you already chose to be [A Monster Seeking Kindness], Rei will not have any hang-ups about this.

Pay for Intel about…
Umbra (3)
Guild (1)
Current Missions (2) Unnecessary.
??? (Write In, please @QM)

Companion Actions:
Each Companion (other main character) has TWO actions of their own each week. You may decide what they do with these actions.

-[ ] Train your technopathy powers.
-Have Himari gain full access to the [Technopathy] skill tree.
-May increase her Mental and Physical stats.

-[ ] Train your coding skills. (DC 60, Technical)
-Have Himari attempt to push her skills in the [Codes] skill tree.
-May increase her Technical stat.

-[ ] Get some sunglasses. (Mental Check, DC 40/70)
-Have Himari attempt to nullify or dull the effects of [Cursed Eyes] by… not showing her eyes. Yes, really.
-Gives Himari and Jun some good bonding time.

-[ ] Get situated.
-Himari needs a comfier room in Jun's house. Get to renovating!
-May increase her Social and gain Intel on ???.

-[ ] Make a read on the criminal underworld.
—[ ] Who?

-Counts as an action to Pay For Intel. However, this one's free.
-Himari will add her roll to Jun's to refine the info and leads that you'll get.

-[ ] Figure out the secret of the Archfiend's Armor. (Progress: 50/100, Mental)
-Pt. 1 of [A New Suit For A New Me)
-Have Himari try and figure out a way to control the Void powers lurking in all three of you.
-If she also wants to become a Kamen Rider afterwards, then that's fine as well.

Projects will usually be demarcated with a (x/y progress) label in their action. When rolling for a project, the character doing it will roll a d100 and add their modifier of the relevant stat.

When a roll (counting modifiers) is over 100, the dice explode and another d100 is rolled to add to the progress. Projects can have multiple parts, and are completed when the progress bar reaches its limit.

-[ ] Accompany Rei on two Minor Actions.
—[ ] (Which one?)
—[ ] (Which one?)

-Have this character come along with Rei on two Minor Actions that she's doing. Does not apply to actions that they are already going with you on.
-Companions will react more amicably and/or gain extra benefits if taken on actions that they're interested in.

-[ ] Accompany Rei on a Major Action.
—[ ] (Which one?)

-Have this character come along with Rei on a Major Action that she's doing. Does not apply to missions that they are already going with you on.

Deadline: 2 Weeks

-[ ] MAKE A WISH. [Take Your End]
-Please don't.
-Please don't.
-Only if you're desperate.

-[ ] Consume a Shade Core. (Remaining: 3)
-Increases Akemi's Deadline by 3 weeks.
-Prevents her from, y'know, dying.

-[ ] Train in the blade. (DC 60, Physical)
-Have Akemi attempt to push her skills in the [Sheathe/Draw] skill tree.
-May increase her Magical and Physical stats.

-[ ] Train to defend the weak.
-Have Akemi gain full access to the [Parry] skill tree.
-May increase her Physical stats. And maybe(???) her Social stats.

-[ ] Get situated.
-Akemi needs a comfier room in Jun's house. Get to renovating!
-May increase her Social and gain Intel on ???.

-[ ] Study The Corpse
-A while ago, a black cat came and made a certain deal with Akemi. Purrson ripped its throat out, but even if it seems dead, something about it still creeps Akemi out.
-???

-[ ] Hunt a weaker Shade. (DC 60/80, Mental)
—[ ] And have Rei help?

-Once you know what to look for, finding a Shade isn't too hard. It's killing them that's the hard part.
-If Rei helps, that counts as a Minor Action for her. However, she'll add her roll to the search roll and be present for the ensuing fight.
-Possibly gain Intel on ???. Also, gain a Shade Core and a small bit of EXP.

-[ ]Accompany Rei on two Minor Actions.

Oh. And one more thing.

Random Event
d100=66
Favorable Banking Error!

"Uh, hey Jun."

"Hey Rei. What's up? Shouldn't you be on your way home?"

"Yeah, I'm on the train back in-city right now. I just wanted to ask you about this email I got about that banking account you set up for me."

"…screen share with me."

"…ok, is it good?"

"Oh damn, it's legit. The government idiots fucked up their Magitech banking programs again. Looks like a free payday for you, Rei!"

[2 Capital Gained! Sweet!]
New Current Capital: 4

Atry's Advice: Spread out your time wisely between these missions and exploring the city. Chances are, Umbra's doing even more things than what Jun saw here.

Red_I's Advice:
>Make sure to explore around, anywhere you can see. Who knows, you might find some interesting people right here in Tokyo!

Two hour moratorium on voting, please.

Author's Note:
Arc 1 has finally started! Rei is about to witness the Horrors, but first she gets to have a few trips through Japan with her found family. As a treat.

Happy voting heroes. I'll be updating more often now, since I've got more free time.

(Oh, and watch out for that moratorium!)

I don't know why everything's bolded below a certain point, btw. I think it was Kuromi's codes being in brackets that triggered a few things. I'll fix it later.

Edit: that's been fixed.

Okay we gotta figure the damn void glyph, the unknowns behind it is killing me. And then we gotta talk to purrson since that's on a timelimit. Other than that I don't particularly care about what other actions to do.......probably explore since that is a recommended option. Both. Both explore options is good.
....And the new magical pirate guy. sounds fun.

Oh BOY, Look at all those options! Gonna wait a bit before making a plan myself (The horror) but glad to see this continuing Kermie.

Moratorium Closed!
We've had (three posts of) questions! We've gotten (literally only four) likes! Your votes will be counted now, so get them in before Rei ends up wasting her actions practicing sick backflips or something!

Don't know if my plan is formatted right but there it is. I originally was going for the non 2 mayor action costing missions, and was going for the other two options for the chance to get more forms, but seeing that the Mystic Liquid and Scout The Skies missions are three part questline if we don't take at least one of them now or next week we more than likely WONT be able to finish them, soooo... yeah. Also, Is that a Wild Shelley I see! As for the rest, Talk to the not cat, be dorks with the team, and look at the deck (maybe should do the Kira social?), talk with the spirits, get money. Akemi gets new skills (maybe) and have her when we check the deck so we get her spirit options. Himari gets more options and gets a better living arrangement. Thoughts?
Edit:
Added a option with talking to Kira instead of team tomfoolery.

Ok so we obviously should do both of the fleeting major actions ASAP. I say those two plus investigating the Void Glyph plus one of the 1-cost Missions for our major actions. Minor options....Personally I'm leaning towards the Gundam Factory one, but that's my inner geek talking. I'm fine with mostly whatever for those. For Himari and Akemi's actions, I'm leaning towards Himari investigating the Archfiend's Armor and for Akemi to study the corpse at minimum. Free Actions, I think Exploring Kyoto with Akemi sounds fun.

I think we should save mystic liquid until after the Pirate KR is investigated. Just cause it might be funny to throw him into the deep end of things by taking him with us.

Hmm.. Idk, I agree I want to start at least ONE of the Super missions, but its honestly a coin flip. I choose The water one since that talk of magical beasts means we may meet yokai. Also Dark Magical Girl Siren may actually be a siren

Oh dang- I'm hella late and there isn't a lot of votes? Huh... it is a week day

Hmm- this is giving me dread for how much I'm gonna have to write up for actions. Dear gosh there is so much we can do.

Okay so first offfffffffff... I want to do many of these things... but I want to get runes! So a question because-
Kira's Collection Of Junk:
Water Glyph x2 (3 Capital, 50% off!)
Air Glyph x1 (2 Capital)
NEVER MIND OOOOOOOOOOOOO

We need more money. These would be nice to have to perform the void experiment I brought up a while back-

Also!
@Kermie since you said to do this: Black market intel for people attempting to use Glyphs for Alchemy! I want to see if my hunch about this magic system is correct! (edit: Wait I'm supposed to ask what this would cost right?- shoot)

I mean I also want to drift the idea by- where is the action to bother the smol magic lady? WA-

I think it's best for this turn to be used for planning and some preparations for future turns before getting into some action.

What do you guys think about this plan? Anything I should modify? Are there any issues with the formatting?
