Name: Itsuki Takuma
Alignment: Hero (Student)
Appearance:
Costume: Very similar to the outfit above, but without the flowing half-cape. In addition, the armored gauntlets only cover the top of his hand; the bottom is open to his palm and fingers so that he may exert his powers. The costume has been upgraded for defense; it is far more resistant to damage, and protects Itsuki better than its simple design would imply.
Quirk: Locus - A touch-based power that imparts the concept of "pivot" on a point touched. Simply put, the power gives rotational force at will to anything he touches in the direction of his choice, with the point he touched being its fulcrum. However, the amount of energy required vastly increases with the object in contact; if he touches a
pre-existing rotational pivot, it takes almost no energy. But if he touches a solid object, he must use exponentially more energy to give it enough force to snap it's solid foundation and spin about. Thus, this power is most effective on the human body, with it's innumerable moving parts and joints, but may still be used on, for example, bars, pillars, sheets, walls, and even the ground.
Skills:
- Martial Artist
- Skilled driver
- Skilled archer (western style)
Bio: Itsuki was born the first son of a wealthy electronics magnate, a man so powerful he could place his buildings in Tokyo, watch it become collateral, and expect
someone to foot the bill for it's repair. Itsuki was born privileged, but unaccepted for the most part; he was the result of his father's infidelity, but his father had taken him in and given him a home. Unable to do the same for his mother, that was the last Itsuki saw of her for quite some time.
He was 10 when disaster struck. An undercover operation had revealed that many of his father's clients were villains, and he'd been subcontracting them and their families for cheap, reliable labor in exchange for shelter. Arrested for aiding and abetting crimes, no less than 200 counts of assault, larceny, and homicide, the magnate was arrested and his empire torn down in a day. Itsuki was returned to his mother, a lonely woman who had the light of her life returned to her. However, growing up wealthy had it's foibles, and Itsuki was no different. His mother worked herself to the bone to cater to his whims and desires, always, always having a smile and a hug for him, no matter how bad the three jobs she worked were. As long as she could keep him, she didn't care
how bad her life was, not after losing him for those precious first 10 years.
It was unsustainable, and one day she collapsed on-job. Itsuki was crushed, broken, shattered. It had taken the death of one parent, and the near death of another to rouse him, and he was desperate. They hadn't the money for treatment, so he brought her home and nursed her. She wasn't getting better, but Itsuki never stopped, tears pouring down all the while. Hospital treatment was expensive, but his education was pointless without the money to continue. He needed money
soon. His mother, even fallen, even hurt, still smiled at him, begging him to stop worrying, and he made up his mind.
Heroes were paid, they were paid a
lot. The better you were, the more you could make. If he climbed to the top...he could have his mother cured, and give her the life she deserved. He had a quirk, but he'd never
really trained it, pursued it with the dedication of a true hero. But he would, he'd do anything. She was too good for the life she lived. He told his mother his choice, and she blessed him with a smiled.
All she wanted for him was to be happy, to find what could make him happy for the rest of his life. Don't worry about me, she told him. She was friends with the locals, they would care for her.
Be happy, she told him, and he cradled her to his chest and sobbed his heart out. He would make her proud. He'd pay back every cent he owed her, every minute he stole from her, a thousand times over.
No matter what.
