Dragon Ball: Legends Untold

We all know of the stories of the legendary Son Goku, Prince Vegeta, Piccolo, Son Gohan, Krillin, and the rest of the Z Warriors. This, is not their story. As a matter of fact, this isn't even the same Universe that they hail from. Nor is this one of the Universes that has even been seen.

And yet, it has glaring similarities to both
Universe 6 and Universe 7. Intriguing. No, this is a story that is yet unfolding. Still happening, and has every possibility to be just as spectacular.

Centuries ago, maybe even at least a thousand of years prior, the Saiyans of this Universe drove themselves off of their own homeworld, Sadala. However, unlike the Saiyans of
Universe 7, these Saiyans did not in turn make a hostile takeover of another planet. Instead, they remained in space on the confines of their space fleet. As time progressed, these Saiyans found themselves in need of both resources and strength. As they had their own fair share of enemies.

And so, they created their Rite of Passage, in which three young Saiyans would embark upon a quest of self-discovery, learning. The hope was to appear friendly towards these outward worlds, gaining allies whilst strengthening themselves. Indeed, the Saiyans had learned from their own mistakes. At least,
those in charge did.

There have been defectors, who have instead decided they did not agree with the decisions of the hierarchy. Rebellious sorts who instead sought their own lives, and their own way. They were the warmongers who didn't learn. Who refused to know. Their story is one that quite possibly will
only end in tears.

As for the Fleet, they have over time grown in numbers and even
races. There have been those who met the Saiyans and decided that they liked their way of living. Albeit, some consider sending children out into the cosmos outright barbaric. There are plenty of others

As of modern day, the Saiyan Monarchy's own eldest child has come of age for her Rite of Passage, Princess Soko, Daughter of King Finnyl and Queen Punkin, Elder Sister to Prince Aikon.

It is one month's time away from her voyage, this is where our story shall begin.

***

Welcome, one and all, to Dragon Ball: Legends Untold. This is an AU Quest set in the 'Universe' of Dragon Ball, however not in Universe 7. That Universe, or at least a portion of it, has already been explored and adventured through. I felt we could do ourselves some good with some new characters, a new look. . . And a step backwards. This, as of concurrent, would be roughly in the time of the original Dragon Ball, back when Son Goku(Kakarot) was a twelve year old child going on some Mystical Adventures. I also felt that it'd be a little easier way to navigate into this world instead of being inserted into Universe 7 through shenanigans.

As for some important things, I shall be providing some much needed explanation and information in this here below.

Useful Information

This just entails information that's important/needs to be read.
Is this Dragon Ball/Z/GT/Super?

At the start, it will be in Dragon Ball field of the Dragon Ball universe as a whole. What this means is that this is still the time for grand adventures, traveling the world, world building proper and just childhood delinquencies. You are still, as of yet, an eleven year old girl. Who happens to be a Space Princess because this is Dragon Ball and things get ridiculous.
I will be keeping track and noting when we hit the crossover from this Universe's Dragon Ball to Z.
Power Levels
I will not be truly utilizing and keeping track of Power Levels. In the words of a Prince from another Universe, 'Having a bloated power level means nothing if you don't have the skill to back it up'. However, that doesn't mean that some other characters may make keep or rely upon their scouters to read power levels and then base their assumption of YOUR abilities upon that. I also don't want to deal with the debates. Or the numbers.
Rite of Passage

Due to the loss of their homeworld at their own hands, the Saiyans have taken to drifting amongst the stars. A fleet made up of several different ships, with seven main starships as an armada before the Royal Flagship.
Due to limited resources, and the hotblooded nature of the Saiyans, they have come up with a useful way to both keep the Fleet alive while being full capable of finding useful resources and allies.
The Rite of Passage sees a trio of Saiyan children sent together off into space, to find a planet and survive. Their goals being to fortify both themselves and the Fleet by bringing back a valuable resource, or object.
They are typically expected to be gone at least six years, and no more than ten if they are to return.
These Saiyans do reserve the right to refuse to return to the Fleet
unless they are Royalty, in which case some time shall be given before a Task Force is sent to retrieve the Saiyan.
Those that are not royalty are only ever sought after by family, occasionally.
In the event of a Saiyan dying, they will be laid to rest by the other two. If their Scouter survives it shall be taken back by the other two. In the event all three die, or their Scouters are destroyed and they come up M.I.A., a search party will be sent to retrieve them. If they are alive and still intend to return they will be supplemented with new Scouters.
Super Saiyan
As of current, Super Saiyan in this Universe is nothing more than a story that Saiyan mothers say to their children before tucking them into bed at night. However, there are those who take the idea of Super Saiyan as something that's possible. And no, Soko is not currently capable of the transformation. Remember, this Universe shares traits from both 6 and 7. In 6, they didn't even know about Super Saiyan. In 7 it was a mere Legend until Goku fought Frieza. We're also an eleven year old child who isn't a half human hybrid.
Oozaru
Oozaru will be implemented much like how a certain Prince used it. Soko is a Saiyan Elite, and has training in the form. Which means that she can control it. Which makes things a little more interesting.
Dragon Balls

Upon gathering the Seven Dragon Balls, a mighty Dragon shall appear to grant you ONE wish. Per person, a single wish can only be granted once.
Currently-
Get Out of Death Free Card- Everyone only has one as of yet. Which means, you'd best not let yourself be deaded more than once, or your friends.
Multi-Res: Available. Same applies as above. No loopholes here.
Outside Interference
As a decent way to put it. There are certain issues and things that ARE GOING TO HAPPEN regardless of Soko's actions. Such as events and occurrences with the Saiyan Fleet. As well as things on Earth due to us simply not being aware of them. These are issues that you simply cannot prepare for, as you'd have no way to even know that they are happening. There shall also be plot related issues that you can become aware of if you take the right actions.
Omakes and 'Fanart'
As for Omakes. . . Well.. You can have fun with those and I'll be deciding if they are canon, could fit it, or are just for fun. As for...Uh, fanart I guess you'd call it(though I'd consider it Dragonball Fanart and not fanart of my characters cause feelsbadman) I'd love to see it. I love to see people get creative and what not. I do not care how skilled you are. Go for it. The only way to get better at something is to do and I'm a novice(the truth comes out, y'all) QM but I've written before so I'm in a similar boat.

Lightning Bolts

Lightning Bolts, or 'Hero Points' or 'Cookies' or whatever, will be implemented thusly.

They grant a +5 advantage on a 1d100 roll scale system for yourself and allies, while giving a -5 debuff against enemies. This will typically be for the entirety of an update, unless players decide otherwise. Yes, they stack.

Players can acquire up to three, and can, for the moment, use up all three on one vote. Which may be broken depending.

They shall be given away towards those who've frequently participated, voted often, made me laugh, offered advice and the like.
{slide=Bonus}I will be placing music and soundtracks occasionally. This doesn't require you to listen to the songs. And some songs will be covers from Dragon Ball/Z soundtracks. Some shall be entirely unrelated to Dragon Ball originally.
Credits and Such
Obviously the first and foremost credit for the Creation of Dragon Ball in the first place and Goku and all those beloved characters must go towards Akira Toriyama. We couldn't have this, as well as other fanfictions, the wonderful DBZ Abridged, Dragon Ball R&R, quests, and the like without him.
Secondly, I'll be the first to admit that @PoptartProdigy 's quest
Dragon Ball: After the End has given me the inspiration to ultimately run my idea for a Dragon Ball story as a quest. And I have borrowed some(a lot of…)elements in the use of BBCoding as I'm rather novice at that. (Seriously though go check that quest out if you haven't already. It's pretty rad.)
I will also say that I have some friends who've given some inspiration, ideas, and characters for this. I did not use them without permission.

General Rules:

1.) Player's debates may have an impact upon Soko's thought process/incoming updates and votes if I deem necessary/and/or fitting.
2.) I may ask for player dice rolls occasionally. Lightning Bolts can be earned from this.

Write-ins and subvote write ins are accepted.

I may try to utilize invisitext if I can figure out the BBcoding. Be on the lookit. Heh. Might have some hidden here, might not.(I don't)

Have fun!

(LET'S GO!!!)

What's a Sparring Match Between Rivals(Friends)?

You breath in, deeply and thoroughly. Your eyes are closed, for but a brief moment before they open and gaze forward at your sparring partner. Chaya, daughter of a noble Saiyan. Her spiky red hair tied off to the side in a loose ponytail, which would seem to be nothing more than a simply statement of fashion. It didn't really change the length of her hair, though it wasn't nearly as long as yours.

Her black pupils gazing forth at yourself, as the two of you had locked eyes. The both of you stood ready, and firm. Awaiting the commencing of the fight.

There comes a tone, a hollow note. You both know what it means.

The two of you leap off of your feet and fly at the other. You both make the same move, slamming each other in the face with a fist seemingly made of iron. The two of you dash back, readying again. She makes the first move, a sweep at your legs. You leap over her and into the air, contorting yourself around and firing a ki blast.

She evades, and tosses one in return. You slam it away with ease. There's no time for staredowns here.

You fly at each other, throwing a kick towards her which she deflects with her arm. She herself throws a kick and you dodge, using your momentum to spin around for a roundhouse.

You feel it connect, causing her to spin around. She lands, legs apart and one hand on the ground. Her other hand glances along her cheek as she smiles up on you. As per usual, you've gained the first second strike.

She then launches off the ground, slamming into your chest faster than you can react. She's tackled you off of your feet and into the wall behind you.

Yet, you keep the breath in your lungs and drive your knee into her abdomen. She relents, and you once again land another strike. You drive your knee into her chin, causing her to back off.

She takes a step back and spits blood. You fly toward her this time, swinging a kick around that connects only with air. She grabs your leg, and pulls you down onto the ground before throwing a punch with her takedown.

It connects, it stings, you deal with it by catching her fists. You roll over and off the ground, still holding onto her hands before she strikes a headbutt. It doesn't daze you much, but the next hit she throws does.

Crunch

You know that pain. It seers through your arm like a burning, like a fire from within. She just shattered your arm with her kick.

You take a few steps back, left arm grabbing onto the now bleeding right arm. It
hurts, yes. But that doesn't matter. If you back out now, that means you lose. And you are a Saiyan. You don't enter into a fight expecting to lose. You don't enter into a fight allowing yourself to go down that easily.

Yet, you've done a large amount of training today. You're still going into that blasted tank no matter what after this. You've done well today, though you feel your father may be disappointed in you. And that's
never a good thing.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What do you do?

[] You're Soko, the Princess of Saiyans. You think some lower class warrior is just going to put you down
that easily? No. Friend or not, you've got to show her who's the boss.

[] You've had worse than this. You've almost died in training. A broken arm is nothing. Keep going, though whoever wins, wins.

[] You've trained far too much today. Your armor shattered, along with your arm. Your bleeding.
Give in and let her have a victory for once.

[] Feign a forfeit before
knocking her out cold. That'll teach her.

Character Sheet
Princess Soko

Yes that's Yamcha's hair. Only style that's as long as it needs to be. She wears it better, though.

Titles
Any 'formal' title that anyone you know would refer to you as.

Princess Soko
Willpower
One of the most important stats that every character will be tested on constantly. This measures simply how much determination you have.
+35. +5 from base(Tough), +15 from resilient, +10 from level-headed, +5 from determined.
Power Level
700 Units.
Defeats
Minor- You lost the opening sparring match against Chaya. She did break two of your limbs, however.
Victories
Major - You won the first ever Annual Rite of Passage Tournament when people thought you were weak. You changed their minds, and you proved to yourself that you're as good as you thought. This has fed the arrogant trait.
Reputations
W-weakling?:There are those who consider you to be weak. You don't know who, just that they consider you a weakling despite your Royal heritage. Those heretics!

You Weren't Born Strong, Despite Being So: The people recognize your strength as the kind that is not simply granted, but earned and they respect you more for it.

Warrior Princess: They see you as the fighter that you are, that one day will be the Queen. And you're strength will be unparalleled.
Traits
Arrogant(Starting Trait): Whether or not you truly realize this, you believe yourself to be overall better than most other people. It's part of what happens when you're the Princess and your father won't let you be anything less. This also goes along with your intellect and how much your mother has taught you.

Protective(Starting Trait): You've long since tried to take your brother's training into your own hands, in an attempt to not have him have to deal with the harsh training your father's inflicted upon yourself. (Grants a x2 Multiplier on any votes that are geared towards protecting either your brother, those you care about, or someone whom you deem in need.)

Tough(Starting Trait): Due to how difficult your father's training has been on you, you can take a beating. And you can get back up. (Grants a x1.5 multiplier towards any votes where you just don't give up.)

Resilient: You're already tough, but man. You can take a beating and just keep going. It's going to take a lot to bring you down. Grants a +15 towards rolls towards refusing to give up.

Level-Headed: It takes a lot more than most to enrage you. Grants a +10 bonus towards rolls affecting willpower.

Determined: When you set your mind towards having something done, you're going to get it done. You do not care what you have to go through to do it. Grants a +5 towards willpower checks.
Abilities

Transformations and similar things.

Oozaru- You gather Blutz Waves through your eyes and store them in your tail. However, unlike those low class Saiyans, you are a Saiyan Elite who's trained. You can control the form.

Tail- You have dulled the pain receptors of someone grabbing your tail. Your father made damn sure you didn't have that as a weakness.
Skills
The things that make up how you fair in general.
Non-Combat
Intellect[Great]- Your mother made sure that along with your combat capabilities, you'd be intelligent. Which also gives you wit, and quick thinking. Grants a +10 bonus on rolls towards using your wits in willpower checks.

Leadership[Decent]- You've watched your father be the Ruler of the Saiyans as you've grown up. You've absorbed a portion of his leadership skills, and you can have others follow you. You just need to get better at it if you one day wish to take the mantle of Queen. Grants a +5 bonus on contested rolls towards others listening to your directions.
Combat
Overall- Decent Enough. You're not a hardened warrior like your father, you're an eleven year old girl being sent out to turn into the hardened warrior.
Hand-to-Hand
At large, you have talented enough hand to hand combat. You can manage.

Dueling[Great]-This is your capability of taking on one individual, mono e mono. Your father has refused to let this dwindle. Grants a +10 bonus on contested combat rolls.

Crowd Control[Average]-This is how well you are at fighting more than one opponent at once. Your father has forced you to face many Saibamen all at one time, making them attack you. You've failed as many times as you've succeeded. Grants a +5 bonus on contested combat rolls.

Partnered Combat[Horrible]- This is how well you fight alongside allies, and unfortunately, your father has not had you fight alongside anyone. You will suffer in this field. Grants a -1 debuff on contested combat rolls.
Ki Manipulation
Overall, you are skilled in the use of Ki. +4 bonus on contested combat rolls where ki is used.

Gallick Gun[Decent]- The go to Ki wave of the Saiyan Elite, you are very skilled in the use of the Gallick Gun. It is, of course, your go to. You have a +6 on rolls towards the use of this attack.

Unyielding Barrage[Talented]- An unaimed, barrage of ki blasts meant typically fired at an opponent when they are upon the ground. While accuracy suffers, damage is decent. Grants a +3 towards the accuracy of this attack.

Ki Talents
You're above most other Saiyans, but you know you can be better.

Ki Sense[Unlearned]- You don't even know that it's possible to sense others ki. No bonus on rolls. However, you have started to try.

Flight[Decent]- You can levitate yourself off the ground, but it's draining. You're going to have to train this.

Ki Control[Average]- You still have yet to truly master this, though you're on the fast track. Grants a +2 on keeping your ki in check.

Styles

These are your different approaches towards combat, and the training you've learned.

Royal Saiyan Combat School(Proficient)- The combat art taught by your father, and his father before him. This style asks for aggression, and offers little in the tone of self-defense when being put on the defense. Grants a +3 towards contested melee combat rolls.
Relationships
This relates to anyone that you know, and your feelings towards them.
Allies
Prince Aikon[Strong]- Your little brother, and only sibling. You adore him and cherish him and have done your best to keep him safe. You've even taken his training as something you needed to do. To do your best to make sure your father doesn't put him through what he's done to you.

Queen Punkin[Strong]- Your mother, you and she cherish each other. She has done her best to hone your mind while your father has honed your body. You'd do anything for her, and she anything for you.

Chaya[Sisterly]- The two of you grew up together, but you aren't related. Sure you're older, but this girl is the one who's more than capable of keeping up with you. Heck, she's even handed you your butt once or twice. She's a good reason for you to keep improving. You love her like she's a sister. Which is why the two of you thrash each other in combat so frequently.

King Finnyl[Trusting]- Your father does care for you, and despite his act in public you trust him. But, you're still weary as you're unsure of how this'll be in six to ten years.
Acquaintances
Mysterious Visitor[Ally?]- The Visitor, or, as your father put it, a Spiritual Advisor. You're still unsure whether or not you can trust them, and if they exist properly or just in this. . . Spirit world.

Sean Vega[Friendly?]: You've met a boy by the name of Sean Vega, who's a human from Earth who's out on the human colonial planet of Indran. He's helped the three of you to your feet and is now offering to feed you. He seems decent enough.
Enemies
Feleen(Rival)- One of Supreme Leader Masba's trusted associates. Feleen made herself an enemy by attacking Sean and then the fight which you have had. You broke a few of her bones, and she tore your flesh. This isn't over.

Supreme Leader Masba- Masba is a revolutionary man. Your not sure what you think of him other than that you don't like him. He did knock you flat out, after all.

Masba's Rebels- Saying as you're going to be at odds with Masba, you'll be at odds with his men. Not quite, personal though.

Inventory

The items that you have with you.

Scouter[New]- A top of the line, Royal Model Scouter. This thing is precise and will probably never let you down. Though, you may find yourself disregarding power levels.

Royal Saiyan Armor- The Armor befitting a Princess such as yourself, it offers protection to your vitals against strikes and ki blasts. It's also flexible and elastic. It bears the emblem of your father upon it.
Goals

This is what Soko wants to accomplish, in a general order of how she would like to do it.
  • Critical-
  • Important-
    • Forge an alliance with the local population. You'll attempt to negotiate with them to earn their trust. This one may take some time. You can do this as an alien to them, or one of them if you blend in.
    • Become stronger. As a Saiyan, your pride demands it.
  • Moderate-
    • You realize full well why you're here. Find something to aid the fleet.
    • You'll need to make the decision at some point if you want to go public with who you really are.
  • Insignificant-
    • Find the woman who was shown to you in that vision. She must be of some importance.
    • Become the strongest on the planet. This'll either take some time, or be done disappointingly fast, though you're more than prepared to flip that coin.
    • Just, explore and have fun while you can.
    • A small portion of you is interested in the aliens of the planet you're going to. While you're here, see if there's anything you can help with. Might help with building an alliance.

Another Trip to Medical...
Another Trip to the Medical Tank, Another Zenkai

Chaya stares at you, the look upon her face telling you exactly what she's thinking. She thinks she's won. You grin at her, letting go of your right arm and raising your left hand. You get into a combat ready stance.

[Trait Gained! Resilient!]

However, just because she broke your arm doesn't mean you're going to make her suffer for it. The both of you have had several times where you've broken then other's limbs. You're both used to it.

[Trait Gained! Level-Headed!]

The two of you calmly pace about the room, your right arm hanging limp at your side, your left arm up and ready. The both of you have scattered pieces of your armor about the hall. You take a breath, and then you dash forward.

[Dueling Check- Passed]

You dodge her kick and spin around, slamming your foot into the side of her head and she stumbles backwards. You then dash forth, slamming your right shoulder into her, causing her to fall to the ground. She attempts a kip-up, but you grab her by the armor and then toss her into the air and leap up after her.

You drive your kick home, into her abdomen.

[Sparring Partner Willpower Check. . . Failed]

She falls to the arena floor, breathing heavily as you land next to her.

"
Just give up already," You tell her.

[Enemy Willpower Check, Passed. A trait may develop from this.]

She gets to her hands and knees, and grins at you, defiance all over her face.

"
Says you with the broken arm," She stammers out, raising her hands to her side. You notice very quickly the purple orb that starts to gather energy before she throws her hands forward and lets forth the beam, "GALLICK GUN!"

[Mobility Check-Nat 100]

You dodge out of the way with ease, and notice that decently made crater of impact from her Gallick Gun. You grin, and you'd return the favor if
you could, but with your broken arm? You decide to try for it anyways.

[Willpower Check...Failed]

You can't get your arm up to be able to muster the energy for it. It just hurts too much to move. Darn.

You look up just in time to see Chaya fly at you and deliver a brazen kick into the side of your head, causing you to fly into the wall. You struggle to your feet, and then fall again before getting back up and glaring at her.

The both of you dash forward again, and she throws a ki blast at you which you deflect with your arm, but it was only a distraction. She driver her fist into your gut, and then delivers one hell of a solid kick to your chin. You feel your tail unwrap from your waist as you fly through the air. You land upon the ground on your stomach with a solid
thunk.

Ow.

[Willpower Check- Passed]

But you aren't down long, you get back up again. You're breathing heavily, but that's par the course. You raise your arm and fire off a ki blast, though it fires wide and she would have dodged it anyways.

She levitates off of the ground, and flies towards you.
Fast.

You go for a kick to try to catch her in mid air, but you miss.

Break

You crumble to the ground, now having two broken limbs. Your right arm and your left leg. But you will not give up. For a simple sparring match, this has gotten heated. It always does.

You levitate yourself off the ground, wanting to get
one more last good hit in. You fly at her, and she at you. You slam your left fist square into her jaw, and she delivers a swift blow into your face.

The two of you tumble away from each other. You're still conscious, but you can't seem to bring yourself to your feet. You look over to her, and she's struggling to get up, but she is.

You've lost. But you never gave up.

The doors to the arena open, and you manage to sit up, looking over to Chaya as she makes her way to you.

"
Come on you stubborn fool, let's get you to a medical tank. Sort you out."

"You can't say you don't need to go in there too. One of those hits must have broken something," You mutter out.

She grabs your left arm and throws it around her shoulders, supporting your weight. You catch a glimpse of your broken leg, no blood. But it still hurts.

You hear solid footsteps before you, and the two of you stop in your tracks.

Your father, King Finnyl, stands before you. The man towers over you, as he does with nearly every other Saiyan and individual on the fleet. His dark eyes scouring over you and Chaya. The black, spiky hair scattered in a few directions. His lips hidden by a beard the same color as his hair.

"
A decent showing, from the both of you. Once again. I imagine you two will be glad to hear that the both of you shall be going on your Rite of Passage together," He speaks, with a magnificent nature and a loud, booming voice that commands you listen to it.

You and Chaya smile at each other, happily before your father continues.

"
I must admit that I'm surprised by how even the two of you are. You're both some of our finer warriors, for your age. The both of you should go to the medical chambers, get yourselves healed up. See if that Zenkai you'll get gives you an advantage next time you two face off," Your father finishes, and he turns and walks away. His black cape flapping behind him.

***

The two of you, having reached the medical tanks, have set up both of them to be ready to use. Chaya had to help you into yours. It wasn't the first time you've had to have some assistance getting into one of these.

It was gonna take you a little while to be fully healed again, roughly four to six hours. Not bad, considering you once had to be in that for two days.

You close your eyes in the tank, and think.

You know that Chaya's going with you on your Rite of Passage, which is great news. But, that doesn't stop the curiosity of who the other going with you is. You
have to know.

You slowly find yourself drifting into what some would consider to be sleep.

------------

What do you do?

[] Dream, peacefully.

[] Dream, of the adventure.

[] Dream, of a fight.

[] Dream, of old times.

Traits Gained!

Resilient: You're already tough, but
man. You can take a beating and just keep going. It's going to take a lot to bring you down. Grants a +15 towards rolls towards refusing to give up.

Level-Headed: It takes a lot more than most to enrage you. Grants a +10 bonus towards rolls affecting willpower.

A Mysterious Vision?
A Mysterious Vision?

Three young children run forth through the forest, the tallest of the three jumping high above the other two. She catches the limbs upon a tree, and swings through the air before soaring through it like a brave young monkey. The blue haired youth catching herself in another tree through the use of her tail. A gleeful grin cast about her face.

One of the two children below smiled up that the blue haired girl, her hair red, tied into a ponytail. She herself leapt up to the tree and caught the other one, placing a hand on her arm and then leaping away.

You make out the words, "
TAG! YOU'RE IT SIS!"

The blue haired girl stood, and then
dove out of the tree. She didn't even touch the ground before she caught the third girl. This girl's hair was orange, and she didn't have a tail. She smiled at the other girl before the one with the blue hair shouted something.

"
You're it! No tag backs!"

You then hear a voice louder than the three of them combined, shouting for her children to come home.

You catch a glimpse of the mother before she fades away, though you can't make out who she is. But, you feel something familiar about her. Maybe it was the caring sound in her voice? Much like that of your own mother.

Your eyes close, and then you feel a presence. Familiar and calming. Your eyes open, and the mysterious being who's often visited you in your sleep is knelt down before you, picking flowers.

They have a dark brown cloak drafted over themselves, and a hood to conceal their facial features. You smile at the familiarity of the situation, and kneel down next to them to pick flowers.

"
Greetings, Princess Soko," The figure states, sounding feminine this time.

There have been times where you've met this figure before, and they've sounded masculine. Yet, their voices are very similar.

They continue to speak, "
Your Rite of Passage is swiftly approaching young one. How are you feeling about it?"

You smile, feeling comfortable with this individual who has been appearing in your dreams for. . . You don't remember how long exactly. You weren't exactly sure as to
why, just that they did.

"
I'm excited, but… Nervous. I've heard stories from some of the others how dangerous this is. Even as powerful as I am. . . Father was stronger than me at this age. . . And he had a hard time on his. I'm just glad that Chaya's coming along."

You make out a smile from the figure, as they stand and place a hand upon the top of your head. Such as a gentle parent patting their child. You find it comforting.

"
Your nerves are understandable, Young One. Yet you are strong. You're a talented young child of the Saiyans. You needn't have much fear. You'll have your friends, and many new friends along the way."

The setting changes, and the two of you now stand upon and island. You feel the sand in between your bare toes. You wiggle them, a soft giggle coming from within. You look up and see a lady standing on the beach.

Sweat drips from her brow as she stands there, focusing. An orange orb of light emanating from her palm as she harnesses herself.

The vision fades as soon as it was there. You look back at the figure, and they smile to you.

"
Once you arrive, there will be a few obstacles. But you must seek out that woman you have just seen. Your fates are intertwined Young Soko. And I must apologize, for the current state of your mother's panic. I have kept both you and myself longer than I had anticipated."

The figure grins at you, fading away as you hear the sound of a a music box. You yourself drift away, back into what you deem to be reality.

***

"She's coming to, your Majesty."

"
She's been out for an entire day, she was only supposed to be in there for four hours, of course I'm worried about my baby girl!"

You hear a harshness in your mother's voice, yet it's soothing to you. Your eyes open and you see her standing before your medical tank, tall and glorious as ever. Her long, dark red hair not nearly down to her waist. Her eyes show a different side, despite the harsh tones used in her voice. Concern, and a gentle softness allowed for you.

The medical tank drains itself, and the door opens.

You were in there for an entire
day. You were only supposed to in there for four to six hours. Was it the dream?

No. It… But they mentioned that your mother'd be upset.

You feel her arms wrap around you in a tight embrace, bringing you back into reality. You return it as she then lets you go. You obviously had her worried. She smiles at you and fluffles your hair as she stands.

"
You only had a broken arm and leg and you were out for a day. ." She looked you in the eyes, concern evident.

Maybe there was something wrong with that tank? No. You
know better than that. But that vision didn't feel that long. Only. . . maybe ten minutes? But you know better than to say anything to your mother about it in public.

"
Alright, let's get you some new clothes and get you back to our rooms. You must be starved."

Dear old mom always worrying about your stomach. She was, however, right though. You were
very hungry.

She grabbed you a new set of armor, allowing you to place the elastic armor around yourself as the two of you exit the medical bay. No more Saiyans and others in white that looked out of place.

Instead, the two of you were greeted by three of the non-Saiyans aboard. Three Brench-Seijen. The three of them bowed, and the adults referred to your mother as 'Her majesty'. Meanwhile, the younger one, looked at you. He was about your age, after all. He was also set to be upon his Rite of Passage.

Colby was his name, but you didn't know the names of his parents nor did you care enough to learn them. He stood slightly shorter than you. His green eyes bright, and his hair white with a singular spike over his left eye and a fallen bang always over his left. He wasn't exactly the
brightest kid amongst the Fleet, but he had a good heart.

You're also well aware of the possibility of him accompanying yourself and Chaya upon your Rite of Passage.

"Hi Soko!" He says, bowing once again. Formalities and what not that you never really cared about.

You grin at him, and answer him back rather chalantly, "
Hello Colby, nice to see you again."

You lightly tap him on the arm with your fist, making him say "Ow". You give him a look and the boy sticks his tongue out at you.

"
We were about to head off to dinner, so I'm not sure if we can talk all that much at the moment. I'm sure we can do something tomorrow," You tell him.

You can
hear his stomach growling. Whoops.

------------

What do you do?

[] Ask mom if Colby can come over for dinner! He and Aikon are rather close, after all.

[] Just go home and eat.

[] You wanna explore the fleet some more, but you're also hungry. And your mom
is probably the greatest cook….Ever.

[] Invite Colby to come eat with you and your family, and then go and explore the ship... Unsupervised.

[] Write In

Information Learned: Your mysterious visitor told you that when you arrive on the planet for your Rite of Passage you need to find that woman. You're not sure why, but you'll remember that.

Goal Given: Minor(?)- Find that woman during your Rite of Passage.

(I'm so sorry it took me so long to write this. Life is a thing and my attention span doesn't like me sometimes. I'm also new to this kind of writing style. I'm just trying to improve as I go along and introduce other characters.)

A Taste of Home
A Taste of Home

You gaze up towards your mom, oddly enough she's not dressed in her Saiyan Armor. Instead she simply has her dark black robes that she likes to wear. She never really was much of a fighter.

"Colby's hungry, mom. Can he come with us too?"

Your mom looks down at you and smiles, then glances over to Colby's parents. The two Brench-Seijin smile and nod.

Colby jumps up once and then immediately follows after you and your mother, waving back to his parents. You grin slightly.

The three of you walk along the corridor, a dim metal shade with no real paint or decorations. Even with this being the Royal ship, few people truly care for there being decorations in a simple hallway. You pass along a few others on your way back to the noble residence.

At eleven years old, being Royalty and having it constantly shoved down your throat by
everyone kind of gets old fast. But that's what you get for being noble, you suppose.

However, soon enough the three of you find yourself back to your. . Well, your parent's quarters. You just happen to live here to because you're their daughter.

You step in, and the quarters are decisively humble. That's all thanks to your mother, of course. She wasn't born Royalty, after all. She married into it, at least from what she's told you.

The room has carpeting, which you suppose some on the fleet would consider to be a luxury. Actually, you'd only think that do to Colby's response to it. The walls seem to be not metal, maybe wooden panels that have several different paintings and sketchings. Some of which are your father's father, and other royals before your time.

There's a dining table which is relatively large due to how much the four of you regularly eat, which is at least ten plates for you, eight for your brother, twenty for your father, and seventeen for your mother.

There's the kitchen, lit with a cool amber light. It's relatively tranquil in here. Always some calming music playing. Once again, your mother had control over that option. As gentle a woman your mother is she's also stubborn. So is your father, but where your mother lacks in the want to fight she has more than made up for in being a wonderful mother and a wife than can make even King Finnyl back down.

Your father says he likes it, and you're too young to understand what that means. Maybe like a crush? Ew.

There's also a couch, where your brother is currently, unsurprising to you, conked out. Which brings a smile to your face as your baby brother is rather adorable like this.

His short hair always liked to gather on the right, where most of the spikiness was. Sure, there was some on the left but those were like, tiny. His pale skin looking a shade of amber due to the only light being on being the one in the kitchen.

He wasn't even wearing any armor, just a blanket. Though, it didn't cover his left arm which was draped off the side of the couch. And the pillow he had under him had a few bite marks on it. Apparently he had been nibbling on it during his sleep.

You walk up to him and rub the back of his head. Both he and you were belly sleepers, slightly easier with your tail.

He stirs a little bit, before you grin menacingly.

You grab one of the pillows that had fallen onto the floor, and raise it high above your head. You bring it down.

Thwump!

He uses both arms to throw himself off of the couch and then faceplants into the carpet, tangling himself up in blankets and he begins to hoot and holler.

You find yourself laughing uncontrollably as you stumble backwards.

"SOKO!" He yells out, trying to stand up before tripping over more blankets towards you.

Being the good sister you are, you catch him. However, the boy used more of his momentum than you thought and you both fall to the floor. You begin to laugh even more as he begins to tickle your sides.

"No-NOT fair!" You yell out.

And so, naturally, you wind up kicking your brother in the face out of reflex.

Before anything gets out of hand, you here a very stern voice.

"Kids, this is not the place to be sparring."

"Yes mother." You say in unison.

Naturally, though, the shenanigans continue as your mother starts to prepare the meal.

***

You find yourself to be drooling as you sit on the table. Not, consciously… But you are. That's your mother's cooking for you. Probably the most delicious thing you will ever eat, in your entire life. At least, of what your eleven year old mind would comprehend.

Aikon's sitting across from you, now at least wearing a shirt. He still looks sleepy, but also slightly awake. He's aware enough as he and Colby are talking. The entrance door opens, and then shuts as your father walks in. He immediately notices Colby at the table, and then simply shakes his head making a well educated guess as to why he's there.

"Friend over for dinner, I see? And you didn't invite Chaya?" The man simply laughs to himself as he walks through the front room and into the hallway.

He returns a few moments later, wearing a different set of armor that is both capeless and shoulder padless. Easier to both move in around home and eat in. Though, knowing your father, he always had armor on.

He then walked over to your mother, as he always does as you and Colby begin a game of rock paper scissors.

You throw rock, and he throws paper. Darn.

You go again, this time throwing scissors and he gives rock.
Double darn!

Soon enough, the food is brought over to the table and you all lose yourself in feasting and fooding.

------------

You have a few options here now, folks. You got some taste of the homelife of the Saiyan Royalty and some new knowledge. Though. . .

[] Stay at Home
-[] You're still slightly perturbed as to that vision, and the fact that it said your mother was going to be worried. Talk to your mother about it, privately.
-[] Ask your father who the other in your Rite of Passage will be.

[] Go out and explore the fleet with Aikon and Colby
-[] That vision's bothered you slightly. Instead of telling your parents about it, tell Aikon and Colby about it and ask if they get anything like it.
-[] Ask Colby if he's excited for his Rite of Passage

As for those rolls I mentioned. . . I ultimately took a stand because they detracted from the story and would have sped up the pace far too much. The story would have been way too serious way too quickly. I did away with what they'd be.Or did I?

This also wasn't the big update I had anticipated. The dice rolls I had rolled got screwy and I decided that I didn't want that to mess with the flow of the story.

LET THE VOTING COMMENCE!

My Timeskip Is Unbeatable!
That's right guys!

Hit's gonna make a cameo!

I shall be making using of a Time Skip/Large Vote that will have the update following it take place for a period of time designated by myself for however long it will be taking place. Which, is new to me. There'll be several options included in that vote for what all you can do and you'll be able to make multiple choices.

Basically:

Plan Vegeta:
[x] Take Trunks and Bulma to the Park
-[x]Kill a Squid!
-[x] Eat ice cream!

And the like. I imagine you get the point. This is how it shall be for any update of that caliber and I shall be making it know that it is that kind of update.

Some time variables shall be significant, such as a year, some may be only a day. We'll see to them as we get there.

This is Dragon Ball did you really think timeskips weren't gonna happen? nono dun be silleh

I'm also bad at explaining things.

A Deep Breath
[X] Stay at Home
-[X] You're still slightly perturbed as to that vision, and the fact that it said your mother was going to be worried. Talk to your mother about it, privately.

A Deep Breath

The food, as always, was beyond delicious. Amazing. Oomf, you couldn't eat another bite if you tried. Your eyes try to shut but you refuse to let them do that. You've got other things to focus on right about now.

Such as that vision. You've had them before, yes. But this one, it
told you to do something. And not only that, but it also told you that your mother would be concerned when you found yourself awake.

Either you're really crazy, or something somewhere is projecting itself into your mind. You
shudder at the thought of that.

After dinner's been all cleaned up and your brother's ran off with Colby, you decide that it's time to sit down with your mother about this. She simply needs to know. And you don't know how your father would react. . Though, mother's likely going to tell him anyways.

[Willpower Roll - Failed.]

You give in to that train of thought and decide just to be outright honest with
both of your parents. It's for the best if they know about it, and if you're the one to tell both of them. You take a deep breath.

"
Mom? Dad? Could we… Sit down for a moment?" You mummer out.

Your father shoots a concerned look at your mother. Then walks over to you and sits down next to you as your mother sits across from you.

Your father would never let anyone other than his family see this side of him, but he's always been a Papa Wolf.

[King Finnyl Trait Learned - Papa Wolf]

"
It's about why I may have been in that medical tank for so long."

Your father places a hand on your shoulder, reassuringly.

"
What is it? What's the matter?"

Your mother speaks up, "
You can tell us anything Soko, you know that."

"
I uh… I had another vision… But, it was strange this time. The cloaked person told me that I had to find someone while I'm on my Rite of Passage. . And, they told me that you were gonna be concerned when I woke up mom, that they had kept me for too long."

Your father and your mother exchange glances.

[Fate Roll - High Pass]

Your father smiles, and begins to answer you reassuringly, "
It's uh. . Not very often we Saiyans get spiritual advisors who actually communicate with us."

Finnyl stands, and walks over to the kitchen counter, his gaze seemingly staring far off into space, recollecting.

"
I had one, just like you. They guided me on my own Rite of Passage. Helped give me the strength I needed to save not only myself but your mother when we had come across. . . Someone that was, really powerful." He smiles, glancing back at your mother, "You've got a blessing dear. However, the vision keeping you in the tank for so long. . ."

Your father trailed off, not continuing. That's. . . Disheartening. You considered this to be important and now he's dropped off the topic?

"
What's wrong?" You ask.

He just looks at you before walking to you and patting you on the head. Then he walks down the hall.

"
He's concerned, is all," Your mother answers you, "He's just not used to the idea of you having visions."

She also stands and then follows him down the hall.

You get the slightest feeling of concern about this. It just…. Doesn't seem right.

You need to clear your head. You walk to your own room, the door sliding itself open for you as you enter. It shuts behind you.

Your room is simple enough, a small bed in the corner with a light next to it. A small dresser with a few different clothing options. The carpeting was a tannish hue, and the walls were a subtle blue.

You also had a training dummy in your room and more than enough room to hit it. And so you do. Again. And again. And again. Punching things has always helped you. Endlessly you continue, until you eventually tire yourself out and then plop onto your bed, not bothering to get dressed for sleep.

***

The next morning, you awaken. You push yourself up off of your bed and roll into a sitting position. Eyes drooping slightly as your keep them open. You let out a yawn before standing up and heading towards your door, though it doesn't open without some button presses.

You stop yourself as you can hear your father outside the door, speaking to you mother. However, you can't quite make out everything.

"
-consider her a weakling-"

"
-know that isn't true-"

"
-born with a power level lower than I was born with-"

"
-strong willed little girl let's nothing hold her back-"

The voices drift away, though you've made a rather safe assumption. People on the Fleet think
you're weak.

How. . . How dare they? You!? Weak? You're the
Princess of EVERY Saiyan alive! They should dare not think of themselves so highly when compared to the likes of you!

The audacity of it makes your blood boil. You are angry at this. And rightfully so. The only equal you have at your age is Chaya, and that's because she's been training with you since you two were born.

Yet. . Those low class warriors think that their children will ever have a chance against you?

Grrrrr.

Without thinking, you slam your fist into and through your punching bag.

------------

You've got just under a month before your Rite of Passage, and that's just enough time to prove to the rest of those aboard this ship that you're no filthy underling despite your low power level. You also have time to train with your brother.

Choose All That Apply

[] You
detest being considered weak. In fact, you hate it and you hate them. Train, train your absolute hardest you have ever done.
-[] Train with your father. You're well aware that this is going to hurt, but you have to prove it to yourself. And to them.
-[] Train some more with Chaya
--[] Once you've done that, challenge Chaya to your rematch and this time, you're going to win.
[] Help train your brother.
[] Explore the Royal Ship.
[] See if you can't find out who's going with you and Chaya, you're dying to know if you've even met them yet.
[] Try to see if you can't have another vision.
[] Try to find out any information you can about the planet you're going to be sent to before you go.

[] Write-In!

W-weakling?

  • There are those who consider you to be weak. You don't know who, just that they consider you a weakling despite your Royal heritage. Those heretics!

Acquaintance Gained

I know this update was short, but it's short, sweet, and to the point I wanted. I figured I'd give you all a taste of Saiyan life aboard the Fleet before I sent you off. Two more posts.

Official CountDown Started

Two Updates Left Before you Begin your Rite of Passage

Saiyan Effect - ExNihilo
So, I know I said not for a while, but for some reason, I just wanted to write. Chaya's character hasn't been super established yet, so I took some liberties.

Saiyan Effect:
What happens if you change Tali but keep all the other characters the same, or;
God damn, Saiyans break power curves.
[Disclaimer: I've never actually played Mass Effect, so…]

Commander Jane Shepard wasn't quite sure what to expect when entering Chora's Den, but whatever it was, this wasn't it. Scantily clad Asari running everywhere, holes punched through solid steel plating, several dozen Turians and Krogan, dressed in bouncer's uniforms, either out cold or nursing wounds against the walls, and in the center, a redhead girl standing lightly on her feet, looking not at all winded. She seemed to be on fire, but somehow in a good way? Oh, and a tail, so either an adventurous human, or more likely, an alien.

"Ah, hi? This isn't my fault, I swear, there was this guy who wanted something from me, and I didn't want to give it to him, so he tried to jump me, and well, not the best choice he'd ever made." Understatement.

"Wait, you did all of this? I thought this was some sort of gang conflict or some of the security wanted better pay. Are you some kind of biotic?"

"You could say that. Yeah, just me. Well that guy" she points to one unlucky Krogan with a plasma burn, "was hit by friendly fire, but it was aimed at me, so I think it counts."

Shepard's mind raced. She'd heard some races were monsters at unarmed combat, but this was a bit beyond what she had thought possible for a specops combat team. And without even breaking a sweat… "Are you interested in a job? I'm hunting someone, and I could use all the help I can get."

'Sure, why not, sounds like fun."

~//~

The others were injured, almost dead. He had proven difficult, armed with technology that he shouldn't have had, great flashes of light blasting forth, spelling doom to anything it hit. Even Shepard had taken a hit, and while not down yet, was clearly on her last legs. She wasn't… strong enough…

"No, Saren, I won't let you win here. My people, my friends, they are relying on me… I won't let them down! HAAAAAAAAAA!"

The world was bathed in a golden light. Her ponytail gave, and all at once, everything was on fire. The fight wasn't a challenge, anymore. The corrupted Spectre was down before he even realized what had happened.

~//~

"Did she just beam struggle the Collector vessel?"

~//~

The Reaper ships, undaunted, poured out of the Citadel. Combined with the corrupted forces upgraded by Sovereign, they were a threat to behold, shattering the Council's attempt at resistance. Then, a voice, somehow heard through the void, screaming "Final Burst Cannon!"

And then there was light.

AN:
So yeah, a little fun. Saren was better equipped in reaction to Chaya, not that it really mattered. Not really serious, just a bit of fun.

Rules and Bolts Update
General Rules Update:

1.) Soko's thoughts will be slightly impacted by what you guys say/debate. If it's something I find to be reasonable and makes sense? Then it'll go.
2.) If there's something that someone brings up for a vote that I consider to be decent, which is what happened with the vision being brought up with mom, I'm liable to include that in the next vote. I overlook things every now and then.

That's it for that.

Lightning Bolts!:

So. Lightning Bolts. Cookies. Hero Points.

So many names.

As of right now, for right now, I'm going to go with a call in advance system. I'll give you all a slight nod of what the next post may entail, or if a roll has the odds of success towards something(Training, combat, conversations, the like). And we'll see how it goes.

And if you ever have a suggestion, please feel free to give it. I'm still a novice(as I've said 100 times before and will say 100 times again) to questing and I do appreciate tips and such.
