Uh, no, no she didn't exhibit nigh divine charisma. It was even noted by Link that she merely demonstrated her royalty training, the one time she introduced herself formerly. I.E. She held, and comported herself regally. And I already pointed out that there's apparently a few other dynasties in the area where she 'could' have gotten the 'training' to comport herself like a royal. There was no divine charisma, nigh or otherwise. The closest thing to undeniable power she showcased is when she sang in the shrine. Hyrule has been conditioned to distrust "Sorceresses" which it would be explained away as, and that would lead to revealing the Triforce, which the populace would claim she stole, especially when it's noted that the princess' favorite flowers bloom in Zelda's presence.
I don't know how you're not getting this... no I take that back, I do know, but I refuse to believe that anyone can remain that naive about humanity which @ImmortalsBlade has based the average Hylian on. Their hatred of the Empire does nothing to curb the Empire's efforts to tell the average populace that Zelda was pure Hylian, like them. That Shiekah, and witches were the ones to kill the royal family. That the Queen's history as a Shiekian Sorceress drove the King mad and caused him to lead the 'traitorous Shiekah' to murder all they could in the Palace before the 'Loyal' Yiga 'put him out of his misery.' So another Shieakian Sorceress showing up claiming to be Tetra's daughter, while that might be accepted, and brand Tetra as being unfaithful to the King; even with royal comportment, won't be accepted that she's also the King's daughter. Because Bigotry.
Are you familiar with ImmortalsBlade's quests? All together, the picture you've painted is very much Grimderp. Which isn't something Immortal likes to do. Will it be difficult to put Zelda back on the throne? Hell yes it will, and it'll be all the more satisfying to accomplish because of that. But he's not gonna make it practically impossible to achieve.
*shakes head* So much fail... As for the quest, this is the first work of ImmortalsBlade that I've encountered, so no I am not familiar with their work. With the issue current, there is a reason I pinged the OP. To get their input on the matter. Whatever it is they say, will be the final say, whether or not it supports my hypothesis about the quest.

Guys we have a long quest ahead of us. We will have time to gather followers and convince people that Zelda is truly Princess Zelda. We have already started doing so just by Zelda Singing and us having made an alliance with Ganondorf of all people. Ganondorf may have abdicated his throne but he probably still has a lot of weight among his people so that when he Says that Zelda is really Princess Zelda they will give him the benefit of the doubt. And then there is Kass and Medli. Kass isn't stupid I would bet good money that he recognized Zelda the first time he saw her a few updates ago and he will tell his own people about it when he finds them. After all Princess Zelda is the Rito's best hope to reclaim their home from the empire. Which means we may or may not already have an army waiting for us when the time comes.
DANG IT BONES! Now I'm hearing the Lyrical refrain from that song to the notational beat from Footloose! And I haven't even listened to the entire Footloose song! (and yes, I did listen to the entire Celldweller song, and I'm still hearing it the other way)
Don't mind me. Just asking if the two week slump from @ImmortalsBlade is an indicator that he's abandoned the quest? Or if work has apparently upped his hours to 60 a week... or something...

Setting out a pot you prepare the ingredients, grinding horns into powder, setting your bag of Chuchu jelly to the side and fishing out the pulsating guts and place it to the side. Zelda watches with keen interest, tapping away on her Sheikah Slate as she observes your every movement.
"Fascinating..." She mutters, leaning in closer as you take a handful of Jelly and throw it into the warm pot, "Elixirs are used even among the Sheikah, but most of what I know is done with an alchemist's set or thrown in to boil down together. What's the purpose of this prep work? To speed up the cooking process?"
You nod, "Yeah, though for certain elixirs taking the time to prep might develop an additional effect. I've had energizing elixirs provide a slight healing effect. You can achieve the same thing by mixing in certain edible ingredients as well, such as honey and Staminoka bass meat into the energizing elixir."
Zelda blinks, "Huh, I didn't know that. I thought to mix anything but critters and monster parts just result's in this... disgusting mess."
"Yeah, it works as long as you still have a critter and monster part. Strange that not many people know that," You say as you crush and throw in the hearty lizard and powdered horn, letting them melt into the jelly. Soon it begins to boil, the blue changing to red as you stir the concoction. You wait just long enough for the last bit of blue to disappear before taking the pot off the heat, using cooking rags to protect your hands. Setting it down you pull out a bottle and funnel before picking the pot up again and carefully draining the liquid into the bottle. Luckily none of the precious elixir spilled and you filled the bottle, just enough for a mouthful.
You don't bother wiping the pot out before throwing in the next batch, no worries about cross contamination when they were all the same type. While it wasn't particularly interesting work Zelda stayed awake, diligently recording everything and writing down her observations. You actually had to admit you admired her conviction to watching you perform such a monotonous task. Mipha had wandered back over to watch but quickly began to nod off as she watched you work and walked back into the water after wishing you both goodnight. Zora, Zelda explained, preferred to sleep in water though it wasn't strictly necessary for them.
You honestly were amazed at how different Zora were to Hylians like yourself, and at the same time how easy it was for your two races to relate. You can't help but wish you had left the forest earlier, to have been able to meet the various peoples of Hyrule and explore the incredible and varied lands that made it up. Perhaps you'd have even reunited with Zelda before her injuries, and the two of you could have set off without the ever-present worry that assassins could be tailing you. The two of you could have been reunited with Kass, Medli, Mipha and Sidon without bloodshed. You could feel a mounting desire to see more. To delve into forgotten ruins for treasure and knowledge, discovering ancient secrets and magic with Zelda and helping whoever you came across that was in need.
Your hand feels slightly warm as you imagine visiting the Gerudo desert, Death Mountain, the jungles of Faron or the Hebra Mountains. However, one thought excites you more about this journey, something you hadn't even considered when you set out. Something that made you want to set off right now.
The food.
You couldn't even imagine the various dishes that were out there that you haven't tried yet, the delicious variety that made your stomach rumble. There might even be food out there no Hylian has ever tasted before, recipes you would have to discover on your own. Just the thought of it set your mouth watering. No, NO! You needed to focus, not think of wonderful, delicious food! You had next to no rations, you couldn't let yourself get hungry now. You needed to just make the elixirs.
So, with your stomach protesting and the elixirs themselves looking pretty appetizing you quickly finish the Hearty Elixirs and hand them to Zelda, "Here, this should be enough for everybody, along with Mipha's healing-"
Zelda blinks, before bringing her hand to her face as her expression changes to one of surprise, "OH! You don't know about elixirs and the Zora!"
Huh?
She splits the elixirs, handing two to you, "Zora and Gorons can't use elixirs, or rather not elixirs as we know them. Doesn't work on them. Rito can use them, but it's a muted effect. Elixirs only truly work on Gerudo, Sheikah and Hylians."
You frown, "That's not good. If Mipha gets badly injured tomorrow they'll all be in serious trouble."
Zelda sighs, "I know. and I begged Sidon to forget the whole thing but he refused to listen. He just said... He just said it was their duty to aid a Princess in need...."
Zelda goes quiet for a moment, before shaking her head. "We'll be there to help them, no matter what is in that temple! I hope you're ready to give it your all tomorrow Link!" Zelda says as she brushes her blonde hair out of her face.
You smile and nod, before immediately returning to your cooking duties, wiping out the pot before starting the next batch. Thinking to use the Bokoblin gut you take the pulsating organ and stab it with your knife, letting it drain into the pot with the Chuchu jelly. Then setting it against the side of the pot and careful not to burn your fingers you begin shredding the organ, reducing it to uneven chunks before adding in the bladed rhino beetle.
As you let it simmer you notice something off, taking a moment to realize that Zelda has stopped tapping away at her Sheikah slate, setting it down into her lap, her expression troubled as her hand brushes against her jaw.
"Zelda? You okay?"
She looks up, red eyes peeking between the bangs over her face before looking back down at her Sheikah Slate, "...Y-yeah, I just-" She pauses, and seems to wince like she was in pain.
"Hunger pains?"
She takes a moment to respond, expression hidden behind her hair before she manages to say "Yes... It's... It's really hitting me hard. Do we have anything...?"
You shake your head, "Nadda, we'll need to ask Mipha to get us combat ready in the morning."
Zelda slowly nods, before bringing her Sheikah Slate back up and going back to typing on it. You meanwhile go back to watching over the pot, the elixir finally boiled down into what you wanted and you fill another bottle.
You finish the other elixirs relatively quickly, handing Zelda the sneaky elixir telling her, "This'll only last a few minutes, but it'll magically quiet your movements and calm your nerves. Since you'll be keeping the Big Octo electrocuted it should be a great help."
Zelda takes the bottle, holding it tightly in her hand, "Link, tomorrow..." She pauses for a moment, staring at the ground, "Just... just don't take unnecessary risks, alright?"
"I'll be fine, we'll be fine," You try to reassure her, "We're as prepared as we can possibly be. We'll all come out of this in one piece, I promise."
She doesn't seem too reassured, but she doesn't comment. Zelda does help you clean up the pot, and the two of you turn in for the night. Falling asleep was difficult, however. Everything was damp and cold, you were starving and you could hear Zelda's stomach loud complaints at the lack of food as well as her shivering and teeth chattering. She had her back to you, but you think Zelda had brought her hands up to her face and was breathing on them to keep them warm. She was still doing that when you finally fall asleep.
When you wake up to the sunny, warm morning you find Zelda was already sitting with Mipha, who had brought over your mail shirt. Mipha was clad in her armour, weapons at her side and Zelda too was wearing her patched gear. Both turn to smile and wish you good morning, though neither seemed to be in high spirits. Mipha looked tired, bags under her reptilian eyes and judging by the sheen of her armour and the edge of her blade had spent most of the night preparing for today though if anything it only accentuated how emaciated she was. Zelda looked just as exhausted, eyes bloodshot with deep bags under her eyes and her shoulders sagging as if she was carrying a great weight. You honestly felt a bit bad for being well-rested in comparison.
Still, with the three of you up Mipha quickly casts a healing spell to make you fit and healthy so even if your stomachs were empty you'll still be able to fight and the three of you head over to Sidon and the Captain after you gather your gear. Sidon immediately explains the path to the temple, telling Zelda and yourself that the group will take a slightly circuitous route to the temple as neither you or Zelda were remotely as capable as Zora at swimming, with him leading. Once again, he reiterates the dangers, making it clear that Zelda and Captain would be on overwatch duties for Electric Keese and Octoroks as they possessed the only ranged capabilities. The Captain it seemed was quite a capable offensive mage despite her preference for heavy armour and spears.
Once you get to the temple, you'll be coming up with a more concrete plan after scouting the area out but the basics will be that you'll lure the Big Octo in close, only for Zelda to stun it with her shock arrows. This will allow the rest of you to rush in and hack at its tentacles and hopefully after severing enough of them the Big Octo will bleed out. Hopefully, as from what Sidon describes the Big Octo is of absolutely gigantic size.
"Now I won't lie, this is going to be a supremely difficult task. But I believe in every one of you! I know we will pull this off!" Sidon states with a bright smile, his infectious optimism lifting some of the tension that had settled over your group.
The elders come to see you off, Muzu at the forefront, "Come back to us safe and sound, don't take any unnecessary risks. We could not bare the thought if we lost either of you."
Once again, Sidon is there to dispell the uncomfortable atmosphere, "Of course we will. No Octorok of any size can put the royalty of the Zora and the Hylian's down!"
Zelda nods, "I promise that I will do everything in my power to ensure their safe return."
Mipha smiles, "And I'll make sure you don't do anything reckless Zelda. Though, I don't think anyone can stand up to two princesses with a mission!"
So with some last goodbyes, your group sets off, moving through the wetlands as one unit, eyes searching for any sign of movement. Sidon was on point, leading the way with you and Mipha right behind him. Zelda was in the center, with the Captain in the back. With your group being surrounded by deep pools of water, tall marsh plants and gnarled trees an attack could come from any direction which kept you all on edge. It wasn't helped by the sun beating down on you, the humidity that soaked your clothes or the ever present silence that surrounded you. No birds, frogs, even the sounds of insects were muted which for someone who lived most of his life in the woods unnerved you. Was the pollution so bad it had driven all those animals off?
This, coupled for the muddy terrain slowed both you and Zelda. You couldn't help but think you might be slowing the group down. You were an outdoorsman, yes, but Zelda had superhuman Sheikah skills and the Zora...
Well, the Zora were moving through the marsh as though it wasn't even there. This was truly their home, what proved a hazard to you was their natural habitat. No wonder they had defied the empire for so long. But if they were annoyed by slowing down to let you catch up they didn't show it, other than the captain pushing you forward whenever the mud would suck your boots down. In fact, Mipha seemed to have fallen back slightly to stay beside you. You can only assume she was doing so to keep a watch on you.
But you did have one skill to pull your weight in the group, something even the Zora didn't have. Something born out of years of living on your own hunting monsters, while the Zora were certainly well-experienced nothing could compare to it. So when the faint sound of air being sucked in reached your ears you immediately figured out the direction and guessed the likely target. You leaped to the side just as a ball of river clay sailed past where you had been standing. You whirl, pointing with your sword at seemingly innocuous stalks of marsh grass. The Captain thankfully is quick on the draw, and water materializes above her before it surges forth as a high-pressure stream. The spear of water rips through the base of the grass stalks and you hear the sound of rending flesh as the Octorok is torn apart.
A slight flick of movement from a marsh plant out of the corner of your eye is all you need to identify the other Octoroks and you shout to the others. Zelda is the first to react, an arrow launched and striking true at the base of the grass stalk. There was a pop, a squeal and a cloud of blackish-purple blood expanding in the water. The other however was quick, and it leapt out of the water, ready to launch another compacted ball of river clay with the Octoroks trademark dangerous accuracy giving you a good look at this species. Its body consisted of a large bulbous head or body and eight stubby yet stretchy arms emerging from the bottom of it. River grass seemed to grow from its head, and its face consisted of two glowing eyes and a tubular mouth from which it launched its projectiles or sucked in prey. The creature's skin seemed to be patterned almost like camouflage, making it incredibly hard to spot underwater even if it was just under the surface.
Your examination of it was cut short though as a jet of high-pressure water blew it apart, scattering bits of Octorok across the surface of the water before they slowly sunk into the mire.
"Phew! Nice catch Link, those Octorok's would have caught us completely off guard!" Mipha tells you as she emerges from cover, "I'll get the arrow for Zelda."
"Haha! I knew you were something special Link! With you as our eyes and ears nothing will ambush us!" Sidon adds, giving you a broad smile.
And so, you kept your eyes open for monsters as the group continued on. At first, it was just Keese. The bat-like monsters were hard to spot as they were curled up in the trees due to it being the day, but you knew Keeses like the back of your hand. They essentially consisted of only a head and wings, the head little more than ears, a mouth with oversized fangs and a single cyclopean eye. The used their wings to scuttle around or cling to ceilings so they could drop down on unsuspecting prey and suck their blood. As it wasn't night though you didn't have to worry about a swarm, so the Captain and Zelda made short work of them.
Then your group ran into a section of waist deep water, with several very... diseased looking plants sitting in the muddy water. The Zora didn't need your eyes to see what was here.
"Bio Deku Baba's," Mipha hisses, readying her blade.
"They're just sitting there, can't we just pick them off?" Zelda asks, but Mipha only shakes her head.
"They're tough, and what you're seeing is only part of them. Even if we kill one, the rest will come swarming in. This'll be a tough fight..."
"Get into position everyone, we'll let them come to us. Captain, when you're ready trigger the swarm," Sidon states, and the Captain nods. You all get ready, standing close together to not get separated by the monsters as the Captain readies another blast of water. It fires, striking one of the diseased plants.
And then the whole stretch of water explodes into movement.
Bio Deku Baba's, it turned out, was very similar to the normal Deku Baba. Its head was a strange Venus fly trap-like bulb that opened to reveal a very animalistic snarling mouth complete with a slavering sap covered tongue and sharp, needle-like teeth. The rest of the Bio Deku Baba, however, was a writhing mass of vine-like tentacles that propelled it towards your group at incredible speeds. Thankfully, there only seemed to be four of the beasts, which was a small comfort as they fell on you. Vines shot out, trying to wrap around limbs and pull the victim towards the creature's maw. Sidon himself was wrapped up in moments yet befitting his massive size he wrenched his arm free, snapping a tentacle as he reared his trident back and plunged it into the head of the Bio Deku Baba. Another lunged towards you, but you caught it with your shield and let the vines draw it towards the Deku Baba's mouth that failed to find purchase on it, only for it to shriek in pain as you began to hack away at it until you had reduced the Bio Deku Baba to shredded lettuce.
Mipha was doing poorly, evidently, she wasn't kidding when she said she hated Bio Deku Baba's as she had tried to hack at the tentacles rather than the head, leading the creature to pull itself closer. However she still had a hand free, and she plunged her dagger into the plant-monsters head repeatedly with hoarse yells of disgust before she finally cut the corpse of the creature off her. Zelda and the Captain meanwhile had worked together, the Captain pinning the beast with her spear while Zelda lunged and ran it through.
"Hate those things, so much-" She begins, only to be cut off as you let energy build in your blade before you swing upwards.
"HYAH!!" You cry out as your blade cuts through a lunging four-legged insect-like creature. About the size of a large dog it had a blue carapace, a single angry looking eye, sharp mandibles, and its legs covered in spines and ending in sharp talons. The two halves of its body hit the ground with a splat, its thin legs flailing as its internal goo leaked out and the light in its eye dimmed and finally went out.
"A Tektite!" Sidon exclaims, "It must have been feeding on the Bio Deku Baba's leftovers and thought it could ambush us. We should be careful, it won't be long before we run into swarms of them."
"This can't be natural," Zelda says while shaking her head, "We've been walking for half an hour and already this has turned into an onslaught. Link and I have been traveling across Hyrule without so much as running into a Stalkoblin and now this!!"
Mipha nods, a grim expression on her face, "It gets worse from here on out. I don't know what happened but it feels like there are more monsters every week. It has honestly been wearing us down..."
"Could it be the Big Octo?" You ask, "Surely something like that is attracting or summoning monsters."
Zelda places her hand on her chin, "It must be, powerful monsters with certain exceptions are known to gather other evil creatures around themselves."
"Then our task has become all the more important!" Sidon announces, standing up straight, "We must slay this Big Octo and put a stop to this growing horde before these monsters prey on innocent Hylians and Zora!"
"Until the next blood moon brings them all back..." You hear Mipha mutter under her breath with a sigh, though no one else seems to have noticed. For a moment, you don't think you've ever seen someone look so... defeated.
But then she squares her shoulders, and your group then soldiers on.
++++
Monsters were indeed increasing, but with your eagle-eyed attention to detail you spot them well before they descend on you. Tektites and Bio Deku Baba's meet a wall of blades, while octoroks and Keese are quietly picked off from a distance without them even noticing you.
However, you soon reach an impasse, there were three routes to the temple, all three infested with monsters. The first was mostly dry and consisted of Tektites and to your surprise after Zelda, who had taken to the treetops to look at the path ahead, reports she can see electric Chuchu's. The other marshy path was filled with Bio Deku baba's and Octoroks, with Vulture-like Kargaroks circling overhead. The last path was by water, and you would have to cling to the Zora's backs for the trip though both you and Zelda could fight effectively from that position. It was filled with Tektites and Octoroks.
Also, on every path there were probably Keese and the deadly Electric Keese, so what it came down too was what you thought would be the easiest path, that wouldn't use up too many of your resources.
What path do you take?
[] Dry Path.
[] Marshy Path.
[] Water Path.
[] Write-in.
GM Note: Was still sick, that's why update took so long.
Honestly the dry path seems easiest. Electric Chuchu's are only deadly up close and we have multiple long range people who can deal with it while we fend off the other stuff. Most importantly since we're going to get Electric Bats no matter which route we choose I say get the one where we have minimal long range stuff to deal with

Good observation and I agree. Dry path it is. And its also a bonus that we can retrieve our arrows easily on the dry path unlike the other two where they would be lost. But we must still be cautious because jut because it seems safest doesn't meant that its the best route.
Dry path also lets us collect some more Chuchu Jelly, but also comes at the obvious risk of "if there are imperial forces in the area, they'll be on the dry path".
@ImmortalsBlade do we know how elemental arrows are made? i imagine things like the electric keese or chuchu's might be used so if we can make more using the parts of them that could be helpful
