So whatever relationship we wish to form with the locals let's be a bit more subtle than shocking them with and with my true cthulhu form gaze at me and despair kind of thing.

[] - [The All-Consuming Sin of Gluttony]: Cooldown: 30 days. Derived from the Life Shaper Class. This ultimate skill causes the spread of a microbe cloud with the user as a center. The cloud spreads at the speed of 10m/s and covers the radius of thirty meters around the user, going through walls and magical barriers. All targets are infected with an uncurable Status Effect labeled <<Degradation of the Soul>>. This status effect will deal constant poison damage, even if the target has poison immunity, and will cause the target to erupt on death, spreading the microbes to anyone within a radius of ten meters and infecting them with the same pathogen. Once there are no infected targets, all of the microbes gather back in front of the caster in the form of an orb, which contains the consumed EXP points of all affected targets and may be used to enhance a Biomantic target beyond the LV100 limit, to a hard limit of LV105. It can only be used on the caster's biomantic creations, and won't work on NPCs or Players.

Holy crap! This is freaking amazing! Do you guys know what this means? We can create a super body for ourselves that surpass the level cap anytime we need to battle! Better yet we can create creatures or have our children created by biomancy be able to break the level cap! And all it costs are some beasts that we can create!

Thing we should definitely take this since it's that good.
I'm still interested in that minitaure Eva body. Though it'll require only the finest materials for the fleshy and metallic bits.

Which huh. Maybe the better ores can be found in space to get something like metatron.

You overestimate it a bit. LV105 is a minimal advantage over a LV100 creature, though if the Levels are assigned properly, it will be stronger. That said, the amount of EXP needed to go from 100 to 101 is extremely hard to get, not to mention you have to Level up a creature to get there in the first place. Since the cooldown is 30 days, it'll also take at best five months to create one such body, and most of the time it will probably take longer. This is a very long-term undertaking, and the rewards, while yielding obvious advantages, aren't as extremely OP as you believe they are.

The power means we can make it even better and if we go to a dead planet we can plant then harvest it

I like to think in long term and any advantage is a good one

I lean towards more getting multiple cthulhu forms only because of the transformations.

@Birdsie thinking about it what about an ultimate technique to get access to one of the famous cthulhu sites? Keep thinking of that sunken city or something about the Yith.

What are some of the limits of creatable monstrous forms? DnD Epic Monster? Exalted Primordial? Nasu True Demon? Burning Legion General?

What are some approximate power levels we should expecting if we vote for it and try to create a new form or even the existing ones?

@Red Bovine

Any further plans on the swords of darkness? Kept thinking we could use them as walking advertisements for what gear we make that they can test to see how well they work.

They have a cool name so one point in their favour.

Not sure how the two correlate, exactly. Is this seriously what a game developer would give to a Mad Scientist job?

party*.
On the other hand, seeing as we are making the mega brain for spell research, could we modify or make other Ultimate Spells later? Like have The Needle turn all racial levels into Mana Entity and derivatives and lets us also cast super tier magic like that, increasing the power of the monstrous forms and duration?

Depends on the kind of mad scientist. Though with the chargen I kept thinking there would be leanings toward mecha.

If not some other mad scientist ultimate skill could be Oppenheimer/Von Neumann explosions or Von Neumann summons/forms.

Not sure what else except some other kind of genetic monstrosity.

Skills*.

These are Skills, not spells. The difference lies in that skills have cooldowns, and any YGGDRASIL Job Class has them, whereas Spells are often more versatile, available only to spellcasters, and instead of cooldowns they have mana costs. That's why Super-Tier Magic is more similar to Skills; it has cooldowns, but no mana cost.

And, also, no. I'll only let you have one Ultimate Skill, to keep any facsimile of there being game balance in YGGDRASIL.

Damn, so the idea pretty much falls under awesome but impractical.

Don't really have any further plans on the Swords of Darkness other than having interludes of them every once in a while. Not sure about the advertisement thing though not seeing a reason for why not. Going to think on it.

I'd say it roughly falls in line with the other two, being just as strong as them, but in other ways.

Having unlimited mana means you can spam as many 10th Tier Magic spells with as much metamagic enhancements as you wish. Any battle between two spellcasters is, frankly, just a question of who runs out of mana first: What matters is casting efficiently, dealing damage without losing more MP than your opponent, or forcing your opponent to lose MP on useless spell, or going with a "go-all-out" strategy where you pour all mana into offense to overwhelm your foe at the cost of losing mana and therefore opening yourself up if the gamble doesn't win.

The entire "unlimited mana" skill basically puts a lid on that, since you can cast as much as you want without having to fear repercussions. In other words, it forces your opponent on the defense and lets you get in a bunch of free hits. This ensures total victory in most mage-vs-mage combat, unless the enemy has other trump cards present.

However, the time limit of two minutes is rather rough and forces you to fight quickly. If multiple opponents are present, you might not make it.

On another hand, the ability to turn into five different forms grants a small set of versatile trump card-like abilities to call upon to deal with varying, but powerful threats, not to mention the mere shock value of them. Each form is easily capable of taking out a Boss-level opponent, so the results are promising, too.

Generally what happens is we make some new items that we hire them to test out for adventuring purposes (we know them through ninya) then gets reviewed for possible future improvement or gets the go ahead for Gilmore's shop sale. Other times they use items already on sale to go advertise it with leaflets to pass out on the benefits of that item.

I'll go with this after the information recieved, hopefully we can make some other forms too later, if we get inspiration.
If we select this, are we going to know the abilities and benefits of each form?

Its only 10 minutes and we can just make those forms and posses them and the bio power can be used for more things then a short temp transformation
