Ha! I knew it was going to be the King! Shouldn't have second guessed myself. Still need to level mine to reasonably be able to see that sick np.

Happiness is knowing whether or not you have the grand assassin in your employ

Life will not feel complete without reading this. Links plzzzz. Also do you think that issei's power curve was overly ridiculous or is it just me?
Certainly! But just so we are clear, this isn't 007!Assassin that I was referring to. No, this one's even better: Lupin III.
Cheers!

Xover: Just An Unorthodox Thief Ch 1, Lupin III & Fate/stay night | FanFiction

nah kiritsugu became an avenger in F/GO and he did say that he probably wouldn't have to mention extra classes (foreshadowing much?) so I'm holding out hope for that
Hehehe... That's a secret~

Though, KurotheChronos is correct, Kerry's Servant Class is Assassin, not Avenger.

After a few moments of silence, Onyx spoke up. [I had thought that Assassin was the one who caused us to be here, but apparently that is not the case. Regardless, it seems that whatever force that's keeping us from leaving hasn't faded. Quite the predicament…]

Hassan then interjected, "Well, this may be as much of a boon as it is an inconvenience. Time and space may as well not exist here, so there is nothing keeping you from training yourselves, aside from the limited supply of sustenance in that pocket dimension of yours."

Onyx jerked, and turned to regard the Grand Servant. [I would ask how you know about that, but I'm sure it would boil down to 'because Grand Servant'. That said, you make a valid point. Johan Blair certainly could do with more strength and skill.]

I considered the both of them. "I'm inclined to agree with the both of you. I certainly need to achieve proficiency with what resources and abilities that I currently possess, even if mastery is still a ways away."

King Hassan turned to me, then said, "We will be starting with martial combat, swordplay specifically. I noticed that your left leg was broken and healed imperfectly. Allow me to correct that."

The King of Assassins swung his blade through the air, and a blue arc appeared against my leg. Suddenly, my leg was no longer stiff! I looked at him in awe, and King Hassan nodded. "I have killed the injury within you leg; 'tis a simple task for one who can kill even that which cannot die."

Freed gaped. "Killing…an injury? How does that even work?!" The silver-haired exorcist balked when the skull-clad man turned to regard him. "Odd child. A sinner and a saint, wrapped up in one cracked package."

Freed chuckled darkly. "That's one way of describing me, I suppose."

Asia slapped his arm. "Now Freed, what have I told you about that awful habit of yours? Self deprecation is all well and good in comedy, but your way of looking at yourself is simply unhealthy! I won't stand for it!"
She puffed her cheeks in a fashion that I'm told is supposed to be adorable, and Freed rubbed his elbow, something I'd noticed he did when embarrassed.

"Very well, very well. I submit! Just stop looking at me like that; you know I can't stand up to the power of your moe!" Freed pleaded.

I snorted, and Assassin cleared his throat. Once he had our attention, he began detailing his plans for how to train me. Apparently, my Magecraft was on the right track, so he said that he'd just leave me to that. He, however, would be teaching me how to become physically agile and strong.

We had sufficient rations to maintain a healthy diet for two months, thanks to Onyx's dimensional pocket.

Additionally, Asia was the bearer of a Sacred Gear called Twilight Healing, which thankfully had nothing to do with the sparkling 'vampires' that brought shame to Dio's fabulosity.
It was a healing type Gear, and could have restored my eye. However, I had plans for that, so she contented herself with accelerating the healing of my muscles and reducing my fatigue, thereby enabling me to train more each day.

Thereafter, my training from hell began…

In the first two weeks, he assessed my hand to hand skill, and while he approved of the nature of Aikido, he did add some more aggressive techniques to the counterattack-based style.

In the second two weeks, he began teaching me the basics of handling swords, both small, quick ones like Onyx's caneblade form, and large ones like his own blade. Thankfully, Onyx could reshape himself into different sorts of swords, so I had no lack of different styles to choose from.

The last month was nothing but sparring. Every spare moment I had was consumed by eating, being healed, practicing Magecraft, or sleeping. My god, was King Hassan a brutally effective warrior. No wonder he'd matched a Saber Class sword to sword; the man surely qualified as one himself!

By the time the two months within the temporally and spatially isolated space had drawn to a close, I was significantly more confident in my abilities to both fight barehanded and with a blade.

My body's un-Reinforced strength and durability was roughly equal to that of a peak human, according to Onyx, and my proficiency at combat Thaumaturgy had reached the point where I was roughly equal to a mid-training Enforcer candidate.

My mastery of Runes had progressed especially well, as I had added Raidho, meaning 'Journey', and Kenaz, meaning 'Knowledge' to my repertoire.
I'd added these to my already existing Runic Array of 'buffs' as the first fortified agility and speed, and the second increased the capacity of my mind to process information, as well as my Circuits' output capability.

Speaking of my Magic Circuits, Onyx had told me something very interesting at the end of our training sabbatical. Apparently, the closeness of my soul with Tamamo's, combined with my drawing on a fragment of her Divine power, had caused my Circuits to start to mutate, or as he put it, bud.

My initial Circuits had been relatively average in number, considering that they were a Magic Crest. Their output was sufficient, but not spectacular. Now, however, one in ten of my Circuits was dormant and unusable.

Onyx said that they were becoming akin to branches on a tree, and from each was growing three new, much more high quality Circuits. Over the course of training, two of them had come in, and each one was comparable to five of the others. Needless to say, once the rest had 'budded', my Prana capacity would be much larger.

The most significant thing, however, was less a breakthrough and more of me getting close to one. Both Onyx and Tamamo informed me that, with a few more weeks of training, I'd be able to use Install with her. Then, to add to my joy, King Hassan and Ozymandias both informed me that I'd be able to Include them at the same point, due to my rapidly increasing Prana capacity.

Finally, we ran out of food, and Onyx informed me that he was ready to attempt to 'cut us a path out of here'. However, before he could do so, there was another flash of brilliant azure, and Freed, Asia, and I all appeared in Sona's office, accompanied by a flash of that same light.

"Oh, thank the Satans. I guess it was just a fluke of the spell…" the bespectacled sibling of Leviathan trailed off as she scrutinized both Freed and myself.
"What in the Nine Circles happened? The both of you are practically radiating power!"

What, you thought Freed and Asia just sat there for two months? No, Onyx and Hassan had formulated their own training for them as well. By this point, Asia could probably get into a fistfight with Raynare and stand a fair chance at winning, and Freed? His base speed and strength exceeded my own by a fair margin. As for his sword skill... Hassan was impressed.

We gave Sona a brief summary of what happened, and told her to tell Rias 'hyperbolic time chamber' as an explanation; as an avid Japanophile and Otaku, she'd get the reference. We then introduced her to Asia, and the two fallen clergy departed.

Sona informed me that the first Mystic Code she wanted was one that could gather the Mana in the air and use it to replenish Demonic Energy. I had a few ideas how to accomplish that, and I told her so. I then bid the Sitri Heiress my leave.

Had it not been for Onyx, I'd have forgotten; today was the day that Issei, Rias, Sona, and I would all meet to discuss his future in the supernatural world. Make no mistake, he would have one, whether he liked it or not; the bearer of a Longinus Class Gear would always be a part of that world.

Issei Hyoudou
Issei sat across from the gorgeous Rias Gremory and the stern Sona Sitri, but for once in his life, the last thing is his mind was boobs.

"So… Miss Gremory, President. Who exactly are we waiting for?" Asked the green eyed teen seriously, a far cry from his usual peppy, perverted self.

Johan Blair
"That would be me, Mister Hyoudou." I said as I pushed the door open. His face was priceless.

AN: Well, not much happened this chapter aside from a montage of much-needed training. My beta has yet to get back to me with the last chapter, so I'm going to post this unbetaed and hope for the best. As always, enjoy and review!

All the training, much power, much happiness....yeeeesssss. On one hand ultimate cosmic power and on the other the MC has 5 fingers.

Spotted a few issues:
"…Did you just speak a strike-through?
No, he didn't. Probably because it didn't transfer properly when you pasted it in

When we were finally done with the torture rigorous training,
Another case where it seems there is a missing strikethrough format.

Asia. Freed says, 'welcome home.'

Missing double quotes around the whole utterance. In case that's unclear, I mean that AFAICS
"Asia. Freed says, 'welcome home.'"
would be correct.

Thank you for that. Would you happen to know how to add a strikethrough on SV? I'm more than willing to admit that I am quite unfamiliar with the workings of the site, and I am forced to type these on my phone, as my laptop decided to give up on life.

Hmm.
like this, apparently:

Hey all, just thought I ought to let you all know, I won't be updating today. I feel kinda ill and can't put the words I want to paper. However, since tomorrow is the weekend, hopefully I'll be able to give you all something a bit more substantial to make up for it.

Cheers,

Might as well tack on "Solo: The One And Only."
Evidently, my first mistake was using a tab to read this.
Also, I will freely admit that this Asia draws not insignificant inspiration from Fahad09's depiction of her in 'A Demon Lord's Hero',
Are we at the bottom of this greasy barrel?
Well, I personally found the AU elements quite interesting and enjoyable, but everyone has different tastes, I suppose. You are well within your rights to disagree with my opinion, and I shall not try to convince you otherwise.
Shit crossover aesthetic that sucks the cock of of one side while shitting on the other.

It's trash pretending to be anything but trash.
Read, enjoy, review, convince senpai* to notice me...
*Senpai, in this case, includes, but is not limited to: Marcus Galen Sands, shadenight123, Third Fang
Uh. I don't know what to say, really.

Nor do I, really. The only thing I was able to gather from this post is that you claim the story I mentioned is trash. Aside from the lack of productivity in namecalling, I happened to enjoy the story. Am I not permitted to derive enjoyment from a story that is rejected by other people?

Other than my nitpick about being criticized for my taste, I would appreciate it if you were specific about your issues with my story.

I may not agree with your opinion on Fahad's work, but if you have advice or criticism for my story, by all means, elaborate. I'll freely admit that I have far to go before I can become a professional author, and any and all help offered will be taken into consideration.
I cannot grow without the willingness to improve.

My only complaint is how fast the relationship with Tamamo developed but even that is fine in my opinion so please keep up the good work

"Mister Blair? What do you have to do with this?" The incredulous teen asked.
I smiled faintly. "I suppose you don't recognize me without my coat, do you?."

With a snap of my fingers, my Hooded Coat of Supreme Chunni™ appeared on my body. I dismissed it with another snap, and leaned forward on Onyx, regarding Issei seriously.

He gaped at me for a moment, then exclaimed, "You saved my life! I thought you didn't like me…"

I rolled my eye. "I disapprove of your objectifying and disrespectful attitude towards females, that doesn't mean I hate you. That aside, saving your life was well within my power; I wouldn't have been able to live with myself had I let you die, potential reincarnation notwithstanding."

Issei cocked his head. "Reincarnation? What are you talking about?" I gestured to the Heiresses. "That bit is more their purview than my own; I have some understanding of the process, but I'm certain that Miss Gremory and Miss Sitri can explain better than I."

Having been presented with the floor, the two Devils began to explain the Peerage system to the unawakened Red Dragon Emperor. He was understandably shocked at learning that almost everyone of note in the school was a Devil as well.

I, on the other hand, was dealing with a situation that I likely should have anticipated; namely, the leader of a highly religious group of killers berating me for not 'purging the unclean abominations'. I was rather concerned by King Hassan's fervor, as his rather extreme demands ran contrary to my own values.

I politely but firmly informed him that I would not raise my hand against two children whose crime, according to him, was having the audacity to be born.

Hassan was rather upset by this, to put it lightly, and as such I became rather worried for my life. It isn't exactly safe to have perhaps the greatest killer in existence angry with you while he's living in your soul. The first Old Man of the Mountain was sufficiently bullshit that it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he could execute me from within my soul. This was a being who could kill concepts, after all.

I finally managed to convince Hassan to judge them by their actions, rather than their species, though it was no easy task. I'm sure the fact that Ozymandias and Tamamo both supported my stance helped my case tremendously. I'd need to remember to give Tamamo extra cuddles when I next got the opportunity.

"MISTER BLAIR!" I jumped in surprise at Sona's sharp voice. Clearly, I had seemed to space out during my heated debate with Assassin, and the bespectacled disciplinarian took offense to this.

I spoke quickly in an attempt to salvage the situation. "My apologies, Miss Sitri, Miss Gremory. I acquired a new Spirit whilst I was in that strange space beyond time, and he… well, he's pretty close to being a zealot of Islam. I was convincing him that carving his way out of my soul to kill you both was neither a good idea nor in any way just."

Issei looked at me in confusion, and I waved him off. "Don't worry about it; it's just Magus difficulties. So, what about on your end? Have either of them offered you Peerage?"

Issei nodded. "Ah, Rias did. I… wanted to know what you think, Mister Blair. Should I? Is there no way for me to back out of this life and remain safe?"

I shook my head sadly. "Unfortunately, Mister Hyoudou, that's not really an option. As for Peerage, that is entirely up to you. There are benefits and drawbacks to becoming a Devil, just like any major change in your life. To be sure, as a Devil you will likely be better able to protect yourself from harm, but you will also likely have more enemies."

I spread my hands helplessly, Onyx leaning against my hip. "At the end of the day, all I can advise is to not make such a significant decision on haste; take time to deliberate on it, and make your choice based on what you determine you want to do with the power you have been granted."

Issei nodded slowly, an uncharacteristically serious look on his face, then rose. He informed Rias that he would carefully consider her offer, thanked me once more for saving his life, then departed, deep in thought.

I turned to regard the two remaining others in the room, and asked, "Was there anything further that I could assist with, or may I go assist Freed with his houseguest?" Sona waved me off, so I departed.

I returned to the church, mildly surprised to note that Mittelt had returned, and was talking to Asia. Whatever they were discussing had Asia's face quite red indeed, to the point that I was mildly concerned that she might lose consciousness.

Freed, wise young man that he was, had elected to stay out of the conversation, and I followed suit. I passed him a bag I'd brought from my home, a housewarming gift. His church wasn't exactly well insulated, and, with winter on its way, a space heater would surely be put to good use. Freed clearly appreciated it, if the crushing hug he pulled me into was any indication.

The four of us visited for a while longer, chatting about the insignificant and the inane. All too soon, the shadows grew long, and I set out to return home. The scene was familiar, and thus when the Stray Devil leapt from atop a wall to attack me, I reacted in a much better fashion than the last time it'd happened.

A Rune-clad fist impacted the skittering mutant's face, sending the agile little tarantula-man flying back into the wall. The beastie was stunned long enough that I had time to pull Onyx from his sheath and get into a defensive stance.

The Stray shot forward at me, and I moved. The world blurred around me for a brief moment, and when it ceased, I was past the creature, thick blackish-red ichor dripping from Onyx's edge. I heard two thumps behind me, and turned to see that my foe had landed in two separate pieces, having been cleft cleanly in twain.

I heard an appreciative whistle, even as Isaiah leapt easily down from the same wall as the Stray had. "Well," the blond remarked, "I'd say that this turned out significantly better than the last time, wouldn't you, Mister Blair?"

I gave him a blank stare. "You know, Mister Yuuto, if you keep losing track of your targets directly in my direction, I may have to start deducting points from your English grade" Isaiah blinked at my response, then offered a sheepish smile. "Ah. My apologies, sir. It won't happen again."

I shook my head in mock-exasperation. I then pointed a finger at him in a way that was supposed to be stern. "See that you do, young Knight." The two of us parted ways, and I continued home, totally unaware of the two pairs of eyes watching me, for two different reasons.

AN: Sorry this came out so late, and that it wasn't longer. My muse was being a fickle minx for most of today, so I only just finished it. As always, enjoy and leave me a review, if you can.
